Waste Not Want Not, why should I spend money in your store again? Why should I ever send any customers your way?Ever again? All I wanted to do was plug in the keyboard to see if it worked. I told you that when I said I was going to walk and get the money because youre a cash only business. The power outlet was right next to the keyboard. You were holding the power supply right in your hand and you wouldnt give it to me. You kept telling me that it was checked out by your music guy and it worked great but you wouldnt let me plug it in to see if it worked. You told me that if it didnt work I could return it, no problem.I thought I might be able to work with that so, I better confirm. So I can return it if it doesnt work? Then I got a snotty speech, over your shoulder, about reading the sign over the register that has all the details and, when I went to go read the sign over the register that has all the details, it said that you only accept returns with the receipt and for *exchange or store credit*.And, I would have bought the bench and the seat too -- doubling my purchase cost.I dont know if the person who was so-not-helping me was having a bad day or if theyre like that all the time but, Im never going to return to a store that treats me that way again. And you know what, I actually want to support local businesses.I really do.
My girlfriend is an artist. She can look at a pile of metal and see structures and amazing sculptures. Shes also cheap, so finding raw materials is a challenge.I had to make a trip up to Port Townsend to work on my boat. When she heard I was going up, she got all excited, Go to my favorite recycled stuff store! Ill give you a list!Having list in this place is not a good idea. This is not a big chain hardware store where you can get just the thing you want. This is a browse around and let what is available guide your creativity store. We need a pile of 3 ABS plastic pipes. I found a few bits of it, but we need long sections. So, that part of the trip was a failure. But, I did find folding chairs for a dollar and an old crab pot.
LOVE the hunt!!! They have a good pretty organized selection of items, vintage, collector, home fixer, crafters will all be pleased
Great place to shop for second hand items.
Great place! Well one mans trash is ..... If you need a little bit of something like one hinge, they probably have it. Also some great tool buys ! Friendly folks eco friendly. Just a great place .
Lots of stuff. Sometimes useful. Cash only.
Keeping stuff out of landfills is important. Savings at the same time a bonus!
This would be the most incredible salvage store around if the proprietor was not absolutely the most unfriendly and viciously unpleasant human being i think I have ever encountered. And this isnt a one time situation where maybe shes having a bad day, this is on three seperate occasions, where she has been rude to my husband and myself both for absolutely no reason, when we have come from Bremerton strictly to visit her store. She is so aggressively rude that despite my business thriving because of places like this and what she does, but I will not only never spend my money in her store again, but will ensure that my many business and professional connections all steer clear and when my husband and I move out here very soon, I will make sure that we rival her business in any way we can, with a smile and a pleasant atmosphere based on being good to others and a solid base of customer service with a smile.
Love this store. They have furniture, fixtures, clothes, fishing gear, lamps, jars and an endless aray of goodies to browse through. The prices are better here than at the PT Goodwill too. So glad they are here for my projects and getting odds and ends.
Over six years, Ive both bought stuff here and dropped off a fair amount. This morning, an event happened that has sworn me off.A month ago, I noticed a door I thought might fit my daughters house. I returned Saturday, and put a hold on the door (the weekend help could not negotiate). The door was priced at $95, unhung and without hardware. I returned this morning, and told her about the hold. We went to the door, and she indicated that she was firm on the price. And that cash was required, which I thought was funny in time of COVID.I went to the bank. On the way, I realized that for $103.65, plus jambs, decent hardware, and half a day putting it together, I was better off buying a new fiberglass door at Lowes. But, I like to recycle, so back I went. Can we settle on $100? I asked. Nope, she said. $103.65. How about $103? Nope, $103.65. I decided that with that kind of attitude I would go to Lowes. And I will NEVER drop off anything of value here again. All for 65 cents.
An amazing selection of used household and shop items. Browse for hours in the maze of theme rooms.
I love shops like this. Found a great door, got help getting it in my truck. Friendly and helpful. Tons of stuff to look through.
Very well organized. Owner is very friendly
Great store. Always good finds! Lots of fun to browse through.
Prices are a bit high and they arent willing to negotiate. Large selection of item but I would say 1/4rd of it us junk.
Theres alot of stuff but nothing i was looking for
I love that place. They have a little of everything. People are always there to help
Half the things I needed
Ive told them many times, they should call it The Happiest Place on Earth. But Im pretty sure thats already taken. Thanks Sue and Carla.
Waste Not is always a good first stop for any project.
I try to check here before buying new. Little things like light switch and recepticle covers are only 10 cents each. We found a nice bathroom vanity sink for $20 and it had the faucet included!
Good prices friendly people
Love seeing what they have. The women are great......
