Im starting to write this review while waiting on hold for the main UPS customer service line that I was transferred to when I tried calling the number for this local store. Strike 1. I called because I dropped off an Amazon return with a QR code that they scanned and immediately printed off a label and stuck it on the package.I thought great! this is so easy! One problem, they never shipped the package, and Im still waiting on a $45 refund because of it. I was too trusting and never checked the tracking, I just assumed it would be there in a week or less. When two weeks went by and I still hadnt received my refund I checked the tracking number it said label created. Thats it. Still awaiting shipment. After 19 days now. Strike 2, 3 and 4. It would have been nice if I could have talked to the person I handed the package to, if it hadnt been a 30 minute drive I would have gone there myself. Now I get to wait from a call back from UPSs Investigations Department on Monday (of course, it was Saturday when I called.) I will probably be there at the UPS store on Monday raising hell before Investigations gets around to calling me back. If I get my money back by Tuesday Ill give them one more star. I knew I should have gone to Mail Plus, theyve never screwed up like this.
When I think of having to drop off a package on my lunch break, I generally think its going to take my entire break and be stressful getting back to work on time. Not the case today. The gentlemen running the store (seemingly by himself, maybe colleagues were at lunch?) obviously has good work ethic. He did a fantastic job at working his way through the line of people. I was in and out of the store in less than two minutes.
The shipping costs here are EXTREMELY overpriced. Was quoted a $160 shipping cost here compared to a $31 shipping cost at Mail Plus. I was looking to ship a friend a gift I made them to Maui so I expected somewhat higher costs, but not to the extent this place charged. When I asked if anywhere in town would be cheaper they either didn’t know or lied to me saying that everywhere in town would be the same. I would recommend doing business elsewhere as this isn’t the first time they’ve quoted me much higher prices than should be charged. Mail Plus would be my recommendation.
Hope all the original employees remain at this store. Some new gals lately, but nothing like the familiar faces you see every day. People yelling at them over these dang masks make me sick. This Covid thing has gone to far. Port Townsend has had no cases reported in 6 weeks. Keep your employees. They Rock big time
I recently moved to Port Townsend and with no printer, was having trouble getting all the business associated with moving completed. I had seen a UPS store close by and they were able to help me with all my printing needs! Thanks for the capable and efficient service. The only thing that would have made a good service even better would be to have WiFi in the shop.
Very friendly and very helpful. I was helping my elderly father move, and they packaged a bunch of very delicate items and shipped that back to my home in California. They did everything, and all arrived in perfect condition.
Dont waste your time here. I tried to set up a mailbox three different times and each time was a hassle. First time I didnt have enough id which is fine thats on me. Second time none of the two people working there knew how to set one up. Third time the only person who knew how to do it was taking a smoke break that was much longer than the time it takes to smoke a cigarette. Thank god I found mail plus! They were quick and efficient and really friendly. Dont waste your time here because that seems to be all they know how to do.Casey was friendly which is why I didnt give this one star.
Wow the lady that helped me at the UPSStore was great she was so helpful and so short handed. They really need 3 staff members.Albert YaunkunksJet Plumbing &Heating
After purchasing a coffee table through eBay online, I needed to find a way to get it from Washington State out to New York. I tried a few furniture movers and the rates were astronomical. Finally I thought, let me ask UPS. I called around to a few UPS stores in the vicinity and found both the Marysville and Port Townsend locations to be extremely helpful. I went with Port Townsend because it was closer to where the seller lived. I worked with Sandy in the Port Townsend store and she was completely professional, helpful, cheerful and prompt. The transaction took some coordinating with the seller over a weekend, yet Sandy knew exactly who I was when I called the following Monday. She made what could have been a nail-biting situation feel very calm. Ive since recommended both this UPS store and Sandy to the persons from whom I purchased the table so that they can refer other shoppers to this UPS location if another buyer needs shipping. Thanks again! Terrific service!
Always great, friendly service. The staff goes out of their way to help.
We have been cruising the North Pacific in our sailboat for the past seven years. The Port Townsend UPS Store has handled our mail forwarding and shipping needs the whole time. The service has been excellent. We know we can count on them no matter how far we travel or where we may be and they have never let us down.
We are so lucky to have this wonderful store here in town. Always friendly and helpful service. Highly recommended. Wonderful staff and owners, people who really care and show it.
Beware - IF there is a problem with your delivery the store has to be the one to make the claim. You have no control over this and the person whom takes care of the claims in the store tells you I will get back to you this afternoon a week later when I call for information - she is VERY busy - Too busy to get back to me even though she was the one that made the commitment to when to contact me. I am then told it takes UPS 8 - 10 days to research - still well after this time I call - she takes the call but is too busy to talk to me. She stated I have the information somewhere but too busy to talk.My recommendation dont use this store - there is no customer service IF something goes wrong. Any place will work if all goes right but you do need to consider if you need them to make a claim it could be months before and IF they get back to you. I was told this store is NOT UPS so do keep that in mind.I dont usually write reviews but this is an important one for people to know that they are held hostage by shipping from here and not being able to make a claim themselves. If that seems good to you then go with them. I will find other ways to ship the next time I need to ship UPS.I would have put NO STARS but I dont think that works.
Helpful and agreeable people here who always make my work easy.
Got alot of custom help from the people there. its invaluable. robin
Always very helpful when we bring packages in to be shipped both domestically and internationally.
Very nice! Sandy was super helpful. Very nice people work here!
Its fine and the attendants are reasonably personable. The real draw is that the wait times tend to be much shorter than the post office during peak times.
Went there to print a couple pages. A sign on the computer says There is a $3.50 Fee for downloading pages from email or flash drives. I did not download anything, just printed off a page from a website, yet they still charged me $3.50. When I brought this to the attention of the clerk, he said the fee is for using the computer. They should change their sign. There were 3 customers requiring assistance while the staff stood around and talked to each other. Its worth driving to the Silverdale UPS Store. I wont be going back to this one.
The service is always prompt, helpful and knowledgeable.
Always quick and efficient service!
Excellent and welcoming staff, great service, and all around outstanding quality.
Friendly, prompt service. Highly reccomended.
I have received my mail and done all of my shipping business with the Port Townsend UPS Store, and they have always met or exceeded my high expectations.
Extremely friendly and helpful! 😃👍
Not a UPS store! Privately owned with hidden fees!
Tried to charge me double the price with postage. Rude customer service.
Great service!
After UPS damaged a pack of boxes Amazon told me to return them to UPS store in Port Townsend which I did. I explained to Krishna and he told me to go home with the boxes and repackage them (so for UPS causing damage this would have been 40 miles traveling for me) and Krishna would not offer any assistance when he could have used the existing shrink-wrap and a little tape. So I left the store and boxes with him. As of yet he has not attempted to return them. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE AT ALL.
