All we can say is WOW! What a hidden gem of amazing quality of food and the presentation was outstanding! Best culinary experience we have had in 6 years! My new favorite breakfast place in the area. I had one of the bowls which was excellent and the toast and scones were wonderful as well. Omelettes looked great as well.
Overall, this was a Fabulous Breakfast out with a friend for my 1st breakfast time out since March! We received outstanding service from our waitress, Shelli, and delicious food. Shelli came back multiple times to refill our coffee and waters, and also reheated my Omelet when it turned cold because I talked and let it sit too long. :)The owners are Lisa and Keith; Lisa stopped by our table and was delightful to chat with as I learned more about the restaurant. I had the Omelet made my way with Bacon, Spinach, and Feta Cheese accompanied by the house Potatoes with Sourdough toast. I asked for a box to take the toast and potatoes home and Shelli brought the box immediately.The prices are amazing considering the freshness and food quality. The decor is great, with selections from local artists which rotate. I am including some photos in my review.Every precaution is taken, from mask-wearing staff to properly spaced tables and booths. The cleanliness is evident throughout, including the restrooms. Please patronize this establishment, open from 7-3 pm Tues- Sat, and Sunday 8-3 pm. They definitely earned 5 out of 5 stars.
They have the most amazing food here, its always unbelievably delicious, the items are creative and unlike any other restaurant Ive been to!! The owners care about the customers and their meals. Service is always impeccable, and the prices are good! Highly recommend, wish I lived closer so I could eat there more often, but its worth the drive!!
Ordered 2 brisket bowls, food was excellent as usual if Joe and Layne are still back there they killed it! Only thing I have to say is I miss the old brisket bowl recipe, the tater tots and the barbecue sauce with some jalapenos to top it off was sadly missed but still delicious, thank you!
I had the pleasure of dining here earlier today with a gift card I got in a raffle put on by local farmers, Jackie and Zach of Zazu Mushrooms, and greatly enjoyed the experience. The hostess seemed stressed and seated several parties who’d entered after me first, but I did arrive right at the beginning of a bit of a rush, went to the bar to order a drink, and stood over to the left of the entrance as to stay out of the way of others coming in and ended up behind a few people. No qualms, there was a steady stream of people incoming and I’d have lost track of me too if I were in her shoes. As a previous barista, I appreciated Gracie’s willingness to make me a café miel (also appreciated having oat milk as a non-dairy option) although she never had before. She balanced tending the bar and waiting tables with grace (pun intended). As a cook, the smoked salmon bowl exceeded the high expectations I had while browsing this unique menu online. I’ll be dreaming of those crispy leeks for weeks (finances allowing, less that that). My over easy eggs were done perfectly and the potatoes had a crisp on the outside, creamy on the inside that I will strive for in my own cooking eternally. The salmon had a more forward fish taste and less of a smoked flavor than anticipated in smoked salmon but it was my first time eating fish in quite some time. The music was tasteful, although I did put in headphones to tune out other patrons’ conversations while reading. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I look forward to trying more of these interesting dishes!
The food and coffee drinks were amazing, however, we were dining with a friend from out of town, after the meal we had stayed to continue to finish our beverages and visit with each other for awhile. We then had a waitress who wasn’t our original server come up and ask, with what my wife and I felt was an “attitude”, if there was anything else they could POSSIBLY get us? We were then asked to leave being that they had a long line waiting.Now, I understand that in these times servers are struggling and need to make as much profit as they can and are struggling with the COVID aftermath. But at the end of the day our particular situation could have been handled differently, if we had been kindly offered another drink without the attitude or asked kinder to vacate the table we wouldn’t have had an issue and maybe even stayed and paid to be there longer. It may be awhile before we return.

I love eating here. The food is so good. Its very homey, not the place for exotic foods. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and attentive. Their pork is amazing! One of the few places I can get really good pork belly in the Kzoo area. A must for for brunches.
The breakfast bowl with black beans and sweet potato is very good - get it with chorizo.
Food was ok but just not interested in the fufu food. Breakfast is Breakfast, why screw with it.
I go, at minimum, twice a week; thats the highest praise I can give.

The food is good but their website is one of the worst Ive ever seen and they dont do delivery or curbside. Food was good. Service was good. Was clean. We got in quick. But i got an iced tea was charged $3. Would be fine but I got a refill of about half a glass and was charged another $3. I wondered why the waitress kept trying and trying to get us to get refills.My wifes regular cup of coffee was $3 we had the waitress add an extra egg to my daughters kids meal. That was normally $5. The upgrade made it $11. So 2 kids and 2 adults for breakfast the tab was $55. To me for eggs and potatoes this is completely unacceptable. We will not return i could make breakfast for a month for $55.

My mom, who has trouble walking, was super excited to go out for breakfast. When we arrived there in the late morning there were two tables, no line and yet they refused to seat us because the one handicap accessible table had to be kept free in case a big group came in.

Full City is my go-to for breakfast and lunch. I have a standing lunch date once a month and the location is convenient for us both. She can get her soup and muffin and I can get my just a breakfast as I most often do. Food is great and staff is friendly and attentive. Special shout out to Shelly for always remembering me and my breakfast girls and what we like from beverage to our favorite meal.

Going in on a Sunday morning I expected a long wait, but the wait was about 15 minutes for a party of 5. Great service! Our waitress, Grace, was very pleasant and attentive. This cafe has some vegetarian options available. Super delicious food..traditional brunch dishes with a twist. I definitely recommend!
Small, well organized restaurant with fast service. Visited during a busy Saturday breakfast and was seated without hesitation. Service was courteous beyond expectation. Excellent breakfast choices at reasonable prices. No rushed feeling even though they were very busy. Definitely a good place to stop for breakfast. Anxious to stop in at lunch or dinner.

Full City Cafe has a solid menu selection, inviting ambiance, and great food. The coffee is typical diner coffee which is endearing. There is a full espresso drink and tea menu as well. I highly recommend this place for brunch.

Great customer service. I was an early adopter of their awards program, but I was unsure of when I would receive any awards. I sent an email on a Saturday asking reward program clarification. I thought being a Saturday that I wouldnt received a reply until Monday, but the answering email was received on Sunday. Keith explained that I had to spend $300, and also he also gave me 25 bonus points because I was so close to a certificate. Not only do you receive great food and service in the restaurant, but management is also great.

My toast wasnt even toasted and looked like it was drowned in butter. I ordered scrambled eggs with sausage and hashbrowns and instead they gave me something completely different from what I ordered. When I told them, the waitress gave me a look like it was my fault and acted very rude. she finally brought me the correct order and took the wrong plate back. When I went to pay for the bill I was charged for the wrong plate as well. 100% dont recommended this place at all. Rude staff, horrible food.
After trying this place for the first time, I’m ridiculously impressed.The service is fast, friendly and efficient. The menu has some unique breakfasts, and the food is fantastic! Definitely one of my new breakfast spots!
The breakfast tacos are the best. The flavors of their fresh food is amazing. This is my husbands and my go-to spot for breakfast. Also, the kids love the did too and have won a free meal for their next visit when they submit a coloring page. Also, the coffee is great. They also support local artists by changing their pieces around the restaurant as decor.
Full City Cafe catered our wedding and did such an amazing job! Our guests went up for seconds (and thirds) and we received so many compliments. The owners and their staff are very responsive, professional, kind, and thoughtful. Our wedding was one of many events Ive used Full City for and they consistently knock it out of the park!
Ive eaten there twice, by 5j3 benefit of family and a friend. . Each time was incredible.Great wait staff, great chef(s) and great food. I wish I could afford it on my own. Its worth it! Im just poor. 🤗

Food took 25 minutes to be served after ordered. Food is good, but our waitress was slow at returning. Even when requesting additional drinks, she would come back and forget to bring them. My friend ordered the special of the day scone, and the waitress brought out a different flavor without asking and said they ran out so heres this one as a substitute.
I always love Full City Cafe. Their menu is always changing, and one of the most interesting menus in the area. The food is amazing. Full City sends out great online newsletters that are fun to read and remind me not to miss special menu items. Great job Keith and Lisa and the amazing staff. Our service is always excellent!
Place is nice. The food doesnt really match the price. I was expecting high quality food after reading about this place & then seeing the price. My eggs werent fully cooked & the portions are small. Customer service was good, the place is nice & besides the eggs the food was not to bad. As a consumer I give this a 3 star.
Im from out of town and this place is amazing. The pricing was impressive considering how much food they served. The staff was super helpful and the food was to die for. Might come out here again just for the food! For the record, its been months, yet, my friends and I still talk about the food here.

Best cuban sandwich ever
Staff is always really nice and go above and beyond for food sensitivities. Everything that my family and myself have eaten here has always been really good. There is always something good on the menu.The wait for a table is never long, busy or not. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who lives in the Kalamazoo/Portage area.

Food was good. Used to be in birthday club. I finally remembered the postcard, they wouldnt honor it b/c it expired after a month. Hadnt noticed time limit, I seldom get over that way any more. Wont be going back.
The food is not your typical breakfast food with some fusion of cultures to make it surprising and most of all just darn delicious. I havent tasted anything from them that hasnt been superb! I love their fresh made smoothies and coffee too!

At one time eggs, cheese and meat was bought from local farms, however today when I asked where eggs were from they said Gordon’s. So prices are inflated for bulk bought food. I had the Southern breakfast and it was awful. Chicken appeared to have been deep fried more than once, and fries were soggy. Companion had a side of blueberry pancakes which was a pancake with some blueberries thrown on top. Very very disappointed in what used to be a very nice place to eat fresh food. Don’t waste your money.
Excellent food. I had a Cajun Benedict it was awesome! The coffee was very good, it tasted like coffee, it was strong, great place for breakfast. Breakfast starts at around $10 but its worth it.
Great food. I tried one of their breakfast bowls, and it was very good. They do not have a large menu, but with the high quality you dont really need one.

Wonderful tasty, unique variety of sandwiches and salads. Our waitress was very attentive. Prices are fair for the goodness offered. Also have a coffee bar which is added plus. A big favorite for the locals.

This place is a hidden gem in Portage. Since discovering it like a month ago, Ive been back every weekend to try something new. Every dish is amazingly delicious and looks stunning. Everything tastes homemade but on a super elevated level. My favorites include the salmon hash and crab cakes benedict. I highly recommend this place!!

When you need to treat yourself to a *nice* breakfast without large crowds this place is a good pick. Theres a wide variety of menu options, including some things Id never heard of before (shrimp in the woods?). Great quality, reasonable prices and strong coffee.
