Ultra beauty stores will automatically sign you up for a rewards card without acknowledgement from the customer. They will charge & bill you for fees that you have acknowledged. Ultra Beauty will harass the credit bureau, to get personal information for accounts in your name. The fees that your being forced to pay will go up for every month you dont pay, they are a fraud and will do anything to scam people out of money.

The store itself isnt bad at all and for the most part the employees are nice. I made a mistake with the closing hours and an online/in store pickup order- new to the area, didnt realize they closed early- so i went into the store to hopefully pick it up before they closed that night. While i understand this is incredibly annoying to the people who have to then stop what theyre doing to rush my order, that doesnt give anyone and especially the manager an excuse to be rude. I apologized for my part, thanked them for getting me my order quickly and left. Ill be going to the other location.

I don’t know when Ulta turned to the “aggressive sales” strategy but if me or my girlfriend come in just to browse, we don’t need to be accosted by an “ esthetician”. I don’t care what your qualifications, I’m here to browse. Please leave me alone and don’t force yourself into us trying to find sales. It’s a super fast way go to lose business.

I went in to get a cut and layers and ended up with super short hair and it’s not what I wanted at all. Now I have to wait over a year to get half my length back. I’m so embarrassed by how it looks that I’m going to have to wear it clipped up To hide what I can of it for like five months until it’s long enough. Not going there again EVER. I wish I could give it negative stars.

First time at hair salon. Super friendly stylist. Prices are clearly stated in their pamphlet. I scheduled what I thought was a multi-tone color and I asked for a quick end trim. I was charged for an all over color, highlight and a full haircut that took the stylist not even 10 minutes to trim my ends. My bill was $250!! Holy cow! Since it was my first time there I was embarrassed to say anything & just paid. Someone asked where I got my hair done & told me she went there & had the same surprise! The color result was ok, but not worth what I was charged. The services should have been clearly stated at booking and/or prior to beginning the service. I’d like to go back because I liked my stylist, but Ulta is way too pricey!!

Very nice service, helped me find what my girlfriend sent me in for, but I wish the lady at the counter wore a mask with her face shield. Face shields don’t feel as safe to me

Shopping in this store this week reminded me why I prefer to shop online. While the person at the checkout was absolutely wonderful, the person who approached me in fragrance made me uncomfortable and I rushed to get out of there. She made bogus recommendations and seemed shocked when I told her I was just shopping to replace a fragrance of the same brand. She made a comment about the price, and continued to tell me about the credit card, even after I told her I was not interested.I will continue to shop Ulta online, and in store at Sephora.

I had an amazing experience with this location. I was looking to get a facial very last minute and they were able to fit me in for a 30 minute facial that same day. My experience with Sara for my first ever facial was amazing. She was very attentive and informative the whole time. It was so relaxing and private in your own little room. I definitely enjoyed this more than a full body massage. She even hooked me up with a 20% off my first facial. Super awesome experience and I definitely recommend her!

Phreddie does the best brows!! My eyebrows have seemingly no color to them, & i never get them waxed because i don’t trust anyone to shape them. She suggested a tint & wax, & she made magic on me! i’ve never felt good about my eyebrows unless i fill them ALLL the way in. but now i feel like my eyebrows look so amazing without any product! the tint was really subtle, but it made a huge difference! I’ve had more compliments on my brows this afternoon than any time i’ve filled them in. I’d recommend phreddie to anyone.

I had my hair done by Nicole and she was my hair Angel. She listened to everything I wanted and how I wanted it done. I would recommend her to everyone I know and dont know. I have had such a bad experience with everywhere I have ever went. But with her, she treated me so kindly and explained everything she was doing. I absolutely love my experience with her.

I am always scared to have a new person do my brows but I have always had good look going to benefit brow bars in Ulta’s. This week I went to the portage location for the first and had my brows done by Kate, and they look AMAZING! She did an amazing job I would highly recommend!

The store layout is really nice. I always spend too much here.Recently started having my hair done here by Alexis. She does an awesome job and is very careful with making sure my length is not too short.

Great place for makeup. Nothing better for female beauty products. On the other hand this visit was for hair cuts for my children. The hair cuts also included getting their hair dyed. They wanted to charge me 600 dollars for 3 kids to have their hair done. I am not sure how others feel about that, but I thought that was insane. I read other reviews after leaving there and I am extremely happy I did not go there for their hair. I will continue to visit this location for beauty products and nothing more.

The selection here is great and the staff is friendly and helpful! Everything was clean and in order, checkout was quick, despite being pretty busy. I also wanted to give a shoutout to Kate who did an amazing job on my brows this evening. She was great!

My stylist was friendly but highly unsatisfied with the salon experience. I went in for a color and trimming my split ends off and I walked out with a 190$ bill. The color didn’t stick to my hair so it was almost exactly the same color from when I walked in.

I got my eyebrows done today and Rachel did them. I had an amazing experience and she remembered me from the last time I got them done and we always have great conversations. Shes such a kind person and amazing at what she does. I am never let down when she does my eyebrows

I love Ulta, I would buy almost everything in there, minus the Kylie Jenner brand. Sorry Kylie fans, I just didnt like it and the quality of the products. To me, its like the Wet and Wild brand, cheaply made.

Most of the staff were friendly besides my cashier, she was rude and didnt want to help me. didnt have what I was searching for, but bought a lip gloss anyways.

If you get your hair done here and they give you a time frame such as It will only take 30 minutes or less, then please for the love of god add another hour expectation onto that...Weve been waiting for almost 2 hours for her to get done, for something we were told would take 30 minutes or less, and she got in right away and didnt have to wait.Please remember to figure in an extra hour or more to any suggested time they give you.

It took a minute to get used to the layout of the West main store...today they were out of a product that I needed so I drove to Westnedge store. Have to admit, West Mains staff was much more on top of customer service & wanting to help or answer any questions!! Good job West Main staff😊

If you need a new salon, give this one a try. Trina is amazing at mens hair as well as fixing anything to your liking. If you have an Ulta card, using the salon gets you extra points, too, and Ulta really is the best place for beauty and self-care products.

This place is unhelpful and extremely unwelcoming. I was not greeted when I walked through the door. Workers just milled about the store, doing menial tasks, or really nothing at all. I tried to ask for help, but they avoided me like the plague. When someone finally actually approached me instead of me approaching them, they were rude and unhelpful. The store was a mess. Nothing was very well organized or cleaned. I get it, with make up and testers everywhere, but honestly, it doesnt look like they even cared.

I visited the store to purchase the 1 liter bottle of Matrix shampoo. A sign hanging on the shelf proclaimed a special offer of a pump for the shampoo for $1. At the checkout the cashier never mentioned the $1 offer. When I asked about it, another Ulta employee said she would go to the back to see if they had any more. Of course, even though the sign was still up they had no more. TAKE DOWN THE SIGN IF YOU NO LONGER HAVE THE PRODUCT. I have to wonder if they go to the back of the store every time they are asked about the $1 pump to make it seem as if they just ran out.

This store is super clean and the employees are always super helpful!!

Ladies watch out! I was charged $230 by a stylist here that gave me the worst color procedure that I have ever experienced. She spent most of the time trying to convince me of her coloring skills and procedures I needed without being transparent about the estimated charges. I was horrified at the finished color and the bill. No salon manager on site so could not discuss this issue with him.

I’m giving this three-star rating because I’ve been in the store multiple times and haven’t had a problem, however, the last time I went in there I was completely humiliated. Usually when I go in & want to try a new foundation out, I don’t wear any makeup & I ask an employee to help me color match by testing out shades on my jawline. Well this time I go in and do the same thing, but the employee that was helping me didn’t do what the others normally did. She took me over to the Maybelline section and just pointed out a foundation line from them and said, “when I was 16 and first using makeup too, I used this kind.” I’m 20 years old & definitely not a newbie at makeup. I just wanted help COLORMATCHING a new foundation. So I politely corrected her by saying, “Oh I’m 20 & I’ve tried that kind before & didn’t really find a shade to match me very well. Could you help me pick out a shade that best matches my skin tone in the 24hrs collection?” She goes, “well that foundation is really hard to blend because it dries fast & I wouldn’t really recommend it to beginners. But In this collection that I used when I first started out, it really helped me learn the basics of foundation application. I think you’d be a good match to ivory.” EXCUSE ME?! After that, I just told her no thanks & walked away. I’m half Mexican so I definitely do not have fair skin. I usually go for the Natural Beige shades in any foundation. Not only do I find that whole conversation unprofessional, I also think it’s completely RUDE to just assume someone’s age for one, & then go on about assuming their customers are “newbies” just because they didn’t walk in wearing makeup. 🙄

HORRIBLY RUDE AND JUDGMENTAL WOMEN WORK HERE. I am constantly having to deal with attitude.In one instance I experienced a woman walk in and heard the workers snicker and laugh at this customer behind her back. I will NEVER come here again.Sephora in the Crossroads mall is amazing if you are looking for similar products, they are actually helpful.

There are a couple of really nice girls there, hopefully they are appreciated by their manager. If you want to get profiled based on how you look and stalked by the girls who are just giving you customer service, then go here. If you have money to spend, but dont look like them its best to go somewhere else. They will talk in their earpiece about you and follow you around the store as if your going to steal. If you get so angry you call to talk to the manager about the situation she will just validate why their customer service is so horrible. No empathy, no understanding, no apology. Spend your hard earned money somewhere that appreciates you and your loyalty.

This is a great location to go to. The women staff are very nice and helpful every time I go in there and the way the store is set up is great. It is easy to find tho gs. I went to the new ulta beauty on west main st and I will not go back. The setup in there is terrible and the women staff are too busy talking to each other rather than waiting on customers and helping them and they act like they are doing you a favor. I will not return to west main st. Service is terrible and they dont even know what they have in their own store. I will stick with westnedge location and continue to receive great customer service.The women at west main kept watch I g me like I was trying to steal something. I am a retired law enforcement officer

I usually have an excellent experience at this store. Today zero workers asked if I needed help. The cashier was complaining about a previous customer. The salrsperson continued with my purchases, calling me Hon at least three times. I am twice her age. Not appropriate. You can do better.

Always, Always, Always, ALWAYS out of Urban Decay stuff! And the staff which is always super nice, smiles and says we cant keep it in stock... so the manager obviously needs to do a better job of stocking!!!

Great haircut everytime

Very unprofessional service. I showed my hairdresser (Erika) a photo of my hair in the past (the way i wanted it) and when it was done, it was not how i wanted it at all. Hardly noticeable and also costed an extra $20 than what it showed the price was. The employees were not welcoming. I spent over $100 on my hair and you could barely tell. So an appointment was set up for me to come back in and i was told by the store manager the services would be complimentary and on them to fix it. When i got there, my same hairdresser treated me as if i was extremely unknowledgable and in other words, dumb. She just stood there and looked at me for awhile as if I was wasting her time and said well what do you want to do about it? because there isnt much I can do and said if I got anything done it would cost the same price, so another $100. The other employees treated me the same way. So I did not get anything done. I wouldnt trust her to touch my hair again anyways. As a 17 year old girl who makes her own money, I am not going to spend $200+ on hair that wasnt done right in the first place. So I would advise potential customers to stay away from this salon, as it portrays very low quality (and also rude!) service.

Terrible customer service. Bought a product, didnt use it and tried to return it. Come to find out, the barcode # didnt match the one on the receipt. Not my fault the cashier scanned the wrong item or put the wrong item in my bag. Either way, the manager said she would look into it, check the cameras and contact IT...its been two weeks now and havent heard anything. Cancelling my Ulta credit card and Ill be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Im only giving three stars because of past experiences and the great customer care I received from two lovely ladies that were so patient and detailed in explaining what I needed as a make up newbie. 5 for them! However, I recieved a brow service and one eye brow was perfect and the other looked like a blob of ink. Im embarrassed to have this on my face, and didnt want to hurt the womans feelings that did it. Also, I was less than excited about my lashes. I only got these services done here because Id been out all day and was ready to go home and wanted to try it HOWEVER feefees beauty center is soooooo much better at brow tinting and the individual lashes. The tech at ulta was friendly enough but she just did a terrible job. When I told the manager Id pay for the lashes because they were okay- even though both eyes had crooked ones on -but I was not interested in paying for the blob of ink on my eye. She waived the fee and rudely told me I could not get any more services from the brow bar...honey, I will not. That was piss poor service and customer service as a first experience getting brow and lash services. She offered to let the lady redo it but seriously, would you let a lady near your face again that left a blob above your eye? Sorry, I dont wanna be mean, but, it was awful.

Horrible! Just rude, I couldnt believe it. So, I booked an appointment at The Salon in there ONLY because I was specifically told that they were having a special, any color and cut you wanted for $75. So, I said heck yeah! So, I get there and Erika was very rude, unwelcoming, and stuck up. Acted like I was scum. After she gave me her price which was $200 just for one appointment (I would have to come back for multiple seasions) I was confused because of the price. Then, this rude girl says Oh, so you cant afford it? Excuse me?! Thats rude! Thats juat something you dont say. And while I waited for her to get there, she was way late...All of the other employees were cursing and just talking crazy things about customers. I was shocked. Just shocked. I just could not believe that. Nobody smiled and as I walked away, Erika then said rude remarks about how I was poor. It wasnt that I couldnt afford it. It was that she made me feel so that i disnt want that kind of person touching my hair. I wouldnt trust her witj my dead dog, and this goes for every stuck up girl there. They act like they are better than everyone, like they are owed something, like they are gods. Never will I EVER even go in to buy makeup or anything else! The girls are so rude, everyone. Even the girls who are not working in the salon. Just rude and stuck up. I was highly uncomfortable and nervous about being there because I knew I was being judged. Basically, it felt like I was surrounded by spoiled little privalged high school brats. Not to mention the whole racist thing. Wow. You know those little head sets in their ears? Well every time a person of color walks in, every employee is notified immeditaly. My sister worked there and actually walked right out in the middle of her shift due to all the racist comments and how to watch them because they are stealing. This is nonsense. Im not saying to stop shopping there, but more need to speak up because what really goes on behind closed doors there is not okay.

Terrible makeup experience. The person doing my makeup had no clue what she was doing. Washed eyeshadow off my eyelids several times. My makeup looked like a kid did it and my eyelids are raw from being cleaned so many times in a row.

I go to this Ulta only because it is the only one available in my area. Yes, theres Sephora at the Crossroads Mall but they dont have nearly as much as Ulta.Overall, its ok. Its basically like any other Ulta youve ever been to with makeup, hair products, and a salon in the back.Ive only ran into an issue with them not having a product in stock a couple times and the girls are helpful for the most part.My biggest beef with this store is the free items you get when you buy a particular amount of something else. I dont understand why the register doesnt alert the employee when the customer purchases something that is eligible for a free item. Every time I am suppose to receive something free with my purchase the girls seem oblivious to the promotion. They are always happy to get the free item once I bring it up to them but I feel bad for other customers who dont pay attention to the promotions and dont receive their free stuff due to the employees negligence.

I went to get just a hair trim. I washed my hair it still 40.00. The girl that cut my hair uneven. So for the price i went back and explained to the manager. My hair cut was longer in spots. She agreed and re cut it. She said my hair was stuck in the cape. And there is no way my bangs we stuck in a cape what should of been a 1 inch cut ended in a 1 and a half inch cut.I told her it was still uneven after she was done. And the manager said it was the way i was holding my head. So i came home i ask my husband to look at it. And he said its uneven. For forty dollars it should be even the first time. If i could take away the one star i could. But this app makes you choose at least one star.
