11/15/19You have to show your drivers license at the security gate.Then you drive straight and second building on the right is Ratner Steel Supply, you make right turn pass the concrete barriers and park on the right side. Then you walk straight to the office,follow signs.Anyways, I’ve had great experience, my appointment time was at 4pm I arrived a bit late.Arrival time, walking distance to the office for checking in, handing paperwork to the loader, driving in to the bay, loading, securing and tarping2 hours 11 minutes and 14 seconds.Great experience, thank you Ratner Steel SupplyP.S. I double checked with office, I was told best time to get loaded is after 7pm.I guess I’m lucky today!Be safe my fellow drivers!

If you are picking up here make sure you have all day free. Definitely one of the slowest and nost frustrating places to load. I will not be loading here again

Its not a bad place to load. I was there about 4 hours, but I think if drivers moved outside to to tarp on nice days, it would take less time to get in and out of there. I had 48 foot steel. Get ready to get your tarp action on!!!

They take forever...5hours to be exact...and attitude...my time is money just like everyone else...but get rid of the attitude...

If you are a trucker, this can be a day breaker.If you can get an employee to look up from their phone, not turn and walk away from you, you might get loaded in a reasonable amount of time. There are a few good employees here, but far and few between. Also dont expect anything but people to move at a speed according to their hourly pay. This can truly be a frustrating place to come to. Definitely do not be in any kind of hurry when you come here

Bring a lunch and a dinner ! Your gonna wait. We were told we could come early that the load was ready. Been waiting over 2hours. That 14 doesnt just stop cause the loader take their time.

This has been the absolute worst loading experience of my entire life.

Listen....do yourself a favor and come late at night to load....they load 24hrs and there is less of a line at night. Loads are easy to secure and tarp if you have to. Most loads are 20-24ft long. If you come during the day they are VERY VERY busy GET HERE AFTER DARK AND LOADING WILL BE FASTER!

Dont be a truck driver and think your getting in our out of this place, after they loaded my truck with wrong material and i returned it to them they made me sit around for several hours because they messed up and tried to push the blame on the driver. DO not use this company.

Very unorganized. They require appointment but dont honor it. Then its a 1st come 1st serve kind of thing even with appointment. Line out of property with truck being there early.

Appt times mean nothing....first come first serve does not mean much more....more like whatever they manage to make between constant smoke and chit chat/wandering around breaks will get loaded, eventually. No hustle, not a care in the world. Avoid!Everyone that works there needs to take a field trip down the road to Fer-Alloy, they know how to get trucks in and out!

For truckers! Check in 14.45 pm waiting 30 min. to check in, in next 40 min. got loaded and 30 min. So if you coming here try come after 5-6 pm. I think they not busy.

Appointment time to wait two more hrs cause its not cut. 4hrs later still waiting

Came to pick up the load and they did not cut the material. Broker told me that that will start paying from 3rd h $25.Not anymore guys. We all have ELDs now.

Truckers beware. The only reason this place got one star was because zero stars isnt an option. Workers are rude, no organization, and your appt time doesnt mean anything. Finally got me inside the building 11 hours after my scheduled appointment time. Then sat inside for another 3 hours. By far the worst place Ive picked up a load from in many years

Fired my husband and the entire fleet of drivers over conference call...dont support this company when they cant care for the people that helped make that business. A heads up would have been more appropriate.

Ratner steel is one of the best places for employment for my husband in years he tells me and the people he works with are great good pay great hours great leadership and guys are devoted. I give rather 4 stars on getting the job done ..... They do a great job getting things done and dont believe the truckers with the negative comments they were just there on the real busy days all the shcedualed appoinent are always kept and everyone puts their parts in from the Crain men to the machines to the Bandera to the Crain men agin and to the truck always on to.e with great attitudes all the way
