They need to clean up the outside and get the dirty diapers out of parking lot and entrance. Also get the lights in parking lot on or repaired as well as lights on the building. Trash is over flowing around entrance. Employees are great!! But whoever owns it needs to take a little pride in the community and the store appearance.

This building has been here for years, but dont let that keep you from catching some great deals! Store could use some updating however, I have to give a thumbs up to the butcher in the meat department. Great customer service. If it isnt on the shelf or the way id like it, they prepare it and bring it out to me as I request it. Produce selection is great. My produce is most of the time priced better at farmers than Walmart. They have home like fresh tortillas made fresh everyday. Western union is available if needed. They used to offer copies but thier machine has been down for like 5 months already. They have a good Selection of liquors, beer, and wine. A bakery is available to order for events and they have a hot deli with delicious hot foods to choose from. Some cashiers or carry outs are snobby but I stick to the ones I know have better customer service skills a couple of them are happy to help and check you out energetically with a smile.

Expensive. I think all the prices went up like $1.00 since last time I shopped there. They are nice and polite. I am just not a fan of how they have the check out lines set up.

Even though I had a bad experience in the past. I have to say that the produce is pretty on point! I was happy with the bakery and the birthday cake I ordered. Also they do have really great tortillas!! So I updated my review to reflect that now!

This place is usually pretty Podunk looking. Fairly well stocked and a good variety of things but the prices are outrageous. Food is expensive anyway in New Mexico but this place is a little bit higher. You have to look far and wide to find any decent competitive prices. They do make a pretty serious take out chicken dinner though!

We love Farmers Market! The store is always well stocked and the customer service is top notch! Their deli is GREAT ... especially the fried chicken and tamales. Would much rather support local stores than the big box retailers who actually CARE about their customers. Tina and Grady are our favorites :-)

This place has friendly employees who act like they appreciate your business. Very helpful and even carry out groceries for those needing help.

Decent meat, higher prices than walmart... But it is a less crowded option...and the cashiers have always been friendly. Their regular customers feel like family (cashier was helping man in front of me who apparently hadnt been in his regular days, she showed a genuine concern that you dont see often anymore!!)

Farmers country market is a great place to shop. I prefer their meat and produce department over the Big chain store. They are always fast friendly and helpful.

If you want Beef this is the place! Friendly staff that helps when you need it. I have asked for custom cuts of meat and they were right on it. Very nice store.

Please do something about the flies thats always hovering inside the donut case. Found mold on the packaged buns once too. Other than that, its an ok place to shop. Some items are cheaper than walmart, some are more expensive. Pretty much a get in and get out place to shop.

Farmers Country Market is by far the best gorcery store to purchace quality meat at a fair price in Portales. I shop there for items I cannot find elsewhere in Portales. Though commom day to day items are on average a tad more expensive than at other grocery stores in Portales. On average I can save 25 to 50 percent on many items that I can purchase at other stores in Portales.

I will never shop for food anywhere else! I love the selection of gluten free and dairy free options.The name is misleading though, so I always went to Wal-Mart at the edge of town. No more!This is a legit supermarket right here in Portales.On a side note....-The floor is fun house-ish. Bring your sea legs! :)

Prices keep going up. Sackers are not trained properly. Actually had a friendly person in the Deli. Usually they are rude, especially the food servers. Obviously not a happy place to work.

Im glad theres an alternative to Walmart for groceries but sometimes choices are very limited. Bread choices are very limited, the Asian section is very small (looked like it was getting a little better under new ownership). Produce is some of the best in portales although bagged salads need to have a larger variety as well.
