I went at 5:00 am on 11/5/2021 to pick up some black friday deals. I am VERY satisfied with my visit. All the staff were welcoming and when I was looking for a external hard drive several workers were helping me look for it. I really appreciate it and I greatful to them. All the workers were wonderful, especially the electronics department and the self checkout department.

Thier pick up curb side was very slow and took me an hour and 45 minutes to get my order but I got extra of what I needed for free which is why Im giving four star also they are very polite and respectful ❤️💯 Im assuming that the day I visited they were probably under staff in the particular department. But service aside from me long wait was decent. I hope they get more staff for the curb side pick up that would greatly reduce wait time down to a minimum of 15 minutes instead of one hour and 45 minutes🤦

This location is very hit and miss. Sometimes it is clean and well stocked, other times not so much. They have a decent selection of everyday items, a good craft section, and a few basic grocery needs. My only issue with this store is the lack of cashiers. I don’t always want to use self check out. Having more than one regular cashier lane open would be nice.

Staff inside isnt always friendly. Curbside was nice but can be slow depending on the day and sometimes forgets things but sometimes they go above and beyond.

They must be extremely busy. Cant find anyone who knows anything. I spend hours finding what I need, then sometimes over 45 min. in line. 0nce, 1 hr. 25 mn.in line.

I love shopping in Walmart has the best deals and workers.

Store has went downhill,looks kinda dirty shelves are always out of stuff some employees are rude,some just stand around and gossip hard to find someone to help.. Isles are so cramped. Dont know what happened to the store,(management maybe) but it use to be a real nice store.

Im a Wal-Mart aholic. I do all my shopping there. It is always clean and neat. The people are usually very nice and work hard. 😁

Trying to file a claim on a VizioTv That doesn’t work. Online shows my 3 year protection plan is active until 2023. I don’t have receipt Allstate unable to locate without number from receipt Trying to call Porterville Store to get copy of receipt which they should have in their system No answer on general line. No answer on Electronics line. Letting phone ring and ring and ring. Called 4 times both departments. No answer. Horrible phone experience. Hope it’s better face to face in store

Usually has most what I need but not lately. And a few of the employees act like they dont want to be there working, very rude and unpleasant. They shouldnt be there working if they dont like it or at least fake a smile and pretend to love their job.

One checkout out of 16 had a human, 3 self check our assistants and a party of 3-4 DANCING AND RINGING BELLS trying to collect money for some sort of event! No help. Hate the place

Small walmart, employees are always restocking during the busiest hours, not walmarts complete fault. Porterville chamber of commerce is to blame for a lack of super walmarts.

Could be clean, less cluttered and would appreciate more registers opened.

I know the “people of Wal-Mart” memes have to have had at least several clientele from this store! It is simply always buzzing with creepy customers and non attentive staff. I live out of state and am reluctant to drive further, but they always carry the single-dose eye drops I love. Def the most cluttered and messy store.

I ve always enjoyed going to Walmart Especially in the hottest time of the year... employees are friendly you do get in and out faster then a lot of other stores....!

I do not like shopping at Walmart. Aisles too narrow. Shelves rarely stocked with what I want. But prices lowest around. I go to Walmart to get what I can then elsewhere to get everything else

My experience was great, even in the post covid era Walmart continues to strive for non contamination. I feel safe there.

This is a very clean Walmart with respectful associates. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that this is the smallest Walmart I have seen in a long time

Needs department managers that can make sure there department gets stocked adequately. If you run out of stock every delivery within just hours after delivery made THEN COMMON SENSE IS TO ORDER MORE AND HAVE MORE DELIVERED. THE WATER AND GATORADE ARE NEVER STOCKED LONG ENOUGH ANYDAY . ITS BEEN 3 WEEKS AND I Have yet to get water and or Gatorade going on 4th week. Believe me I have been there early, afternoon, evening, late, over and over. Then you have the sizes in clothing whats with a million of size Nothing and or a million sized XXXXLRG / 24. AND ONLY 10 OF 14 / 32/34. AND THEN NO PINK SHORTS ON THE LADIES SIDE BUT A RACK OF PINK SHORTS ON THE MENS SIDE AND WHAT IS THAT?? WE SAY GET IT TOGETHER WALMART SHOW SOME And THEN THE BIKES NEVER NO BIKES. WE UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM WITH SHORTAGE BUT THATS WHY YOU SEE THAT YOU GET MORE ORDERED TO FILL THAT VOID.WALMART YOUR DOING AN OK JOB YET WE YALL KNOW IT CAN BE BETTER.PLEASE !AND THANK YOU!

The store always seems to be in a state of disarray and chaotic.The employees are as helpful as they can be given the circumstances but overall an unpleasant experience.

This WalMart might be a good place to shop. Not much else in the area.

This doesnt even deserve one star... you can never contact ANYONE over the phone EVER. Customer service in all departments are always hard to find help. Some of the exit associations are rude one man has a habit of harassing people. Not once have I not heard a story of what hes doing to people when they exit. If it a short staff problem then they need to do some major hiring so customers can get the assistance they need. If the associates dont like the job then they shouldnt be working there because they make the shopping experience bad for the customers.

Poor customer service ... doesn’t acknowledge posted prices on items And charge me $3.00 more - refused to acknowledge the difference in price even though in the app it was the same price as posted

Wal mart is not a store I enjoy just because everyone is there and people are so judgement. But Walmart has great deals and good quality, staff not so good rude and unprofessional.

Worst Walmart, often crowded with employees stocking but often out of items. Poor management. Usually only one register open and self check out full. Target across street is way better.

I have always shop at Walmart and loved it but today wasnt the day, I heard this lady complain about folding the clothes and how she has to be folding them all the time.. I mean she doesnt do it for free at least she gets paid.

Gets really packed. Too much commotion if u dont like to be around too many people. I like to go early or late. Great prices. Well stocked for the most except they usuallyhave big pallets in the middle isles so its a tight squeeze. I figure atleast they are trying to keep it stocked. Wish theyd make it a super Walmart already.

I usually avoid this store and make my Walmart purchases out of town.This Porterville Walmart jams the main isles with so many extra displays that moving around the store is hard even at slow times in the day.They also do their shelf stocking in the evenings, often blocking isles so there is no passing through. Its not a 24-hour store; stocking could be done on a night shift if they cared about either customer convenience or safety. The management have been rude and dismissive when Ive shared concerns.On the positive side,, their check-out clerks are usually efficient and friendly and they have Walmart prices.

I keep getting told I cant take the handicap cart outside to my car, even when I bring it into the store from outside. It makes no sense isnt that what handicap carts are for? For years Ive been using these handicap carts and have never been told that.

Placed an online order yesterday Sunday at 10:43am for in store pick up. I got the email letting me know that my order should be ready same day before 8pm and I never got an email to say it was ready for pick up. I checked my email this morning and no email yet. It’s 12:30pm already and nothing. I try calling the store and tried different extension #s and no one picks up. I was waiting for 4 minutes the different times I tried calling until phone would hang up my call. The only option I have now is to go to the store and talk to a manager. Also, checked my bank account and they took the money out. I am annoyed because what’s the point of having a phone number if they are NOT going to pick up and also the Online purchase and pick up at store? Really bad experience with this.

Walmart is always just ok. Never cashiers. I dont work there so why am i doing something i should be paid for.

The shelves are empty there is stuff scattered on the floor, I assume people work there but they kind of wander about like characters from Idiocracy and avoid you at all cost except for one employee who boasted that he clocked out 30 minutes ago, but had just been wandering around

Might just be the worst WalMart ever. They pack the isles with pallets so passing someone or crossing into another isle is impossible. The employees always seem to act like Im in their way. I only shop here when I cannot make it somewhere else. I rather drive 30 miles to a nice store.

Walmart has been crazy ever since the start of COVID and I 100% understand that it isn’t fault, but I go there the least that I can because it always feels so congested and full of people. Sometimes the line is a little long, but you’ll get through quickly. Also their pharmacy closed and Visalia couldn’t fill my moms medicine which she has been needing since Wednesday.

I rarely go to this store because I like to order my things online. But the experience I always have when I go is good because they have plenty of self-check-out machines to pay for my items quickly.

They get rid of all the checkers make you bag and check out your own stuff and then you get to check out and you cant buy alcohol so you got to go through the line again ignorant

One of the smallest Walmart stores that I have ever been to. I was told they dont sell fresh meat and very few of each item to choose from. Im Not sure if not selling fresh meat is common in this area but we found it very strange.

Always find what im lookin for, plus sometimes its cheaper than other places...

Porterville Walmart was great. Not only did I find everything I needed, they actually opened up more cash registers when needed. Huntington Beach and Westminster are happy to let you stand in line for 45 minutes and they never have everything Im looking for.

Many people cant go into the store cause of some disability that they might have . And with this service where u just order online and pickup the next day . They bring it out to your car load the food into your car, is the best thing that could have offered their customers. I wouldnt change this service for nothing . They have of a lot of practical things there but If you see an item that you want or need dont wait till your next visit or it will be sold out.

Its not that bad anymore still need more friendly Employees. Also store dirty and employees are not helpful. Which is sad because this is the only Walmart we have.
