Nice little shop where you can find all Eritrean and Ethiopian traditional stuff
This is a great store with wonderful customer service! I walked about 3 miles from l downtown Portland to come and buy Ethiopian barley...and they had some in stock. A+++ ❤❤❤
Excellent customer service
Ive had Ethiopian food at other places but this one really hit all the marks. In non-Covid times, the sizable interior offered a relaxed ambiance and tasteful Ethiopian decor. If one wasnt used to eating in that particular sitting position or with those items, no judgement from waitstaff. They are efficient and friendly. The food is tasty and fresh w/o any pretension. The sides are balanced and everything is proportioned well. This could pass for a home-cooked meal. One bonus of eating here is that you could buy the actual exotic and rare ingredients used in the meals at the mini-grocer that also sells tourist knick-knacks.Parking is tricky. There are spaces in the back but only a few reserved for the restaurant and b/c of the Covid, only outdoor seating.
Really nice people.
Need to open store on time
Very small shop, and some.spice packages were not labeled . Unless you know already about the product, you cannot buy. New buyers will find it difficult to identify. But the Injira ( I dont know if I am spelling it correctly ) they are selling are very big, and very tasty. You can try that.
Very unprofessional, went to buy food and the owner told me there is no food and told me to leave even though there were people eating inside. I suggest people to go somewhere else where the stuff has manners.
Went into buy some food to make kitfo. Nothing was labeled. When I asked the price of some food the cashier told me one price and when I went to pay(using $100 bill) he told me a higher one. What a scam! They hustle their customers!
Found Teff I couldnt find another place.
Nice little store. They have good enjera, I go there for their enjera and tea spices. The tea spices are a little pricey here compared to other Ethiopian stores though. The owners are really nice and friendly too. Also make sure to call before you go to see if they are open or if the product you need is there. They dont update their hours on line, so it is a little inconvenient but I can deal with it.
Great place amazing deals cant believe I never been here before. Im coming way more often now.
Its much more like a very poorly stocked bodega then an Ethiopian store where I would expect to find Ethiopian food and spices. Pretty dirty and unorganized. The employees completely ignore you.
They carry Ethiopian lager beer 6-packs - Walia, Harar and Bedele Special!! #ethiopianbeer #walia6pack #harar6pack #bedelespecial6pack
They don’t open on time
Stood there for over 5 mins before helped cluttered shop.
Not much stuff but good stuff. The honey wine is everything.
Really delicious, reasonably priced, freshly made Injera! A great little spot.
Best place for a fresh enjera and everything habesha stuff
