Ive come here a couple times in the past year and it is an immaculate experience every time. In particular today, I had two friends who tagged along. As my phone some how wanted to reset as if it were brand new. Freak thing. They found my account and got everything all set up again. Andrew is the gentlemen whom helped. Made a confusing and stressful situation easy and with a good attitude. Some of the other employees were helping my friends and they had nothing but good things to say. With that being said, they deserve a compliment at bare minimum!
Luck gave me Atencio, a sharp kind funny patient Verizon rep stayed after closing to answer my every question and didnt let me leave until he made sure my new phone was working properly.Unusual service for these days. Impressive!!
About an hour after arriving in Maine after moving 1200 miles, I dropped and broke my phone. OOPS 😬. Verizon was one of the first places we visited in Portland, and WOW. Kyle is the freaking man. Everyone was super friendly and Im sure do just as great of a job, but Kyle is easily top 3 best sales associates Ive had the pleasure of meeting, top tier customer service. Representative Ben was awesome, he greeted me in like an old friend, was extremely courteous and welcoming.Although their internet was down and he could not assist me with my account questions.. he still made an attempt to get into my the VZW system an tried to assist me as much as possible.All in all, he was friendly, welcoming and courteous throughout our time there.
I just worked with Ben at Verizon and I was really impressed. He listened to all of my issues and knew exactly how to address them. He is intelligent and respectful. He offered me a range of services to work with me on what was best for me. At no time did I feel like he was just trying to sell me something. I was in and out in no time on my lunch break. I highly recommend working with Ben and his team at Verizon. It was way easier than waiting in line for 40 minutes at the apple store in the mall and the experience was a lot better.
I went to this store on January 13th, hoping to get a trade in deal with Verizon on the Apple 12 Pro Max. According to my salesperson (and my final bill), I was eligible for a the $585 trade In discount. I paid the other half up front so that my phone would be paid off. Or so I thought. Verizon started billing me for the $585 in monthly installments the next month, and Verizon knew nothing about any discounts supposedly given to me. Three phone calls and three in person visits to Cellular Sales has yielded me nothing, just empty promises. So people: heavily question the salesperson in this store if they say you qualify for something that seems too good to be true.
This was an amazing experience-Josh was so helpful at every turn, including with a few glitches that were beyond his control, but with which he was incredibly patient. Thanks for being awesome, Josh! 🍕 🍕 🍕

I spent an inordinate amount of time here trying to do a complicated exchange of phones, lines, and accounts. Joshua was fantastic - he was not only very patient answering my questions and walking me through the process, but he helped me and my family take advantage of all of the promotions available to us. His customer service was top notch, and I will definitely be recommending him to my friends and family! Also, though I didnt catch their names, the other staff at the store also weighed in during my visit - the teamwork among the staff was admirable. 5+ stars for sure.
What an amazing phone buying experience! David helped me switch from iPhone to Android and let me tell you, that is no easy task. He spent extra time helping me manually move my most important items from my old iPhone to my new android. He even helped me troubleshoot after I left the store! I was in a hurry leaving for a long trip. Brooke was terrific in offering and explaining my data options to reach my goal, with no “upselling”, which completely turns me off. She also explained that my elderly mother’s phone, 5C, on the shared plan would be obsolete in the not-so-distant future and explained the new SE option, which I purchased.In summary, she is extremely knowledgeable, even tempered, efficient and friendly without wasting my time. She’s definitely someone to keep and promote.
Ive never written a phone buying experience review, because theyve been subpar. Today I visited the store in Portland (near Whole Foods) to get a new phone, as my old one had screen burn (something I learned about during my buying experience). The sales associated we were lucky enough to get was KING. Yup, his first name is King. He was such a pleasure to work with. He had patience and knowledge and knew how to deliver it. Hes a great dresser, too! ...... oh, my husband ended up getting a new phone, too.

Joshua B was top tier when it came to customer service. I came in looking to switch from Sprint to Verizon due to the terrible service and lack of reliability. I found a plan and device that worked for me and when it came time to make the switch-- Sprint made me jump through a hundred hurdles to release my number. Joshua sat with me for roughly 4 hours on a Sunday and saw the process all the way through until my number was released and my phone was activated. He made the process as painless as possible and even did a follow up a few days later to make sure everything was going well. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking to make the switch or just needs some help with their Verizon plan to see Joshua--he exemplifies professionalism and a customer first delivery of service.
These guys at our local Portland verizon store by whole foods are amazing.Ive been purchasing my family plan and cell phone from there store since 2015.This very last upgrade had me stumped,At 42 years old the technology in the +1 phone was above my head,I called and demanded a different phone told them ide be there after work between 4 and 5 pm.These 2 gentleman were sitting at the first table by the store entrance literally waiting for me.Not only did these guys talk me out my demands they even upsold me on this new liquid glass screen protector.I cant say enough about these two guy.By the time I left I apologized a half dozen times they will have a life long customer with me.Not only these salesman who helped me but the entire Portland verizon team is top notch.Great job guys.Yours truly Eric D.
Every time I’ve traded for a new phone, it seems to be a time consuming process. Not this time; everything was done quickly and efficiently (tiny wait for Verizon to connect but not the rep’s doing!) I appreciate that!!! I’ll always head to this location for phone service.

I am delighted with every aspect of my experience with Verizon (I changed from U.S. Cellular three years ago), particularly with the service at the Somerset Street, Portland, location. Yesterday, for example, I stopped in to pay a bill; while I was there, King C. helped me set up autopay, gave my phone a physical, showed me a number of features I didnt know the phone had, and more. Like every other agent at the Somerset location who has helped me, King was warmly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Memorable service like Kings makes visiting the Somerset location a pleasure and makes for happy, satisfied Verizon customers. Thank you!

Yesterday I went into Verizon for assistance with my new iPhone 11 that I received for my work. I was having issues with data service not working and my work support team was not able to help me quickly so I decided to try a more direct approach with the local shop. From the time I set foot in the entryway I was treated with courtesy, kindness, and professionalism. Devin, the individual who helped me, was terrific. He explained everything he was doing, the reasoning, how he could help me and potentially receive help from my organization. Turns out, Devin was able to resolve the strange and quirky issue in about 20 short minutes. I highly recommend visiting this store and doing business with these folks!

King is an incredible professional who helped me review my current plan and all options for new phones. He was incredibly candid, shared his experiences with having various phones, and offered great guidance. The phone I wanted wasn’t available so he ordered it for me and saved it in the system. I came back a few days later and David helped me. David is a GEM. He helped me disconnect my old phone and transfer everything to my new phone (which, because of my extensive picture count, took about an hour). He was a pleasure to hang out with while we waited for it to update. Honestly, never thought I’d say the highlight of my day would be spending an hour at a phone store, but it absolutely was. King and David are both upstanding members of the team, a delight to work with, and we are beyond thrilled with our service.

3rd Party Store! Not a Verizon corporate store so added fees $$$You will be charged $21 for a SIM card and other fees to transfer service/new phone. If you go to an ACTUAL Verizon store, it will be free, or you can have them mail you a SIM for free. Bait and switch basically. Was charged $21 for a SIM that I thought was activation only to be charged another $40 by verizon to activate plus $15 in taxes/fees.

Walk away. This Verizon store did not honor its 14-day return policy. My phone died unexpectedly at a time when I really needed a working phone. Was told I had 14 days to return this phone for another if I changed my mind. So I walked out with the most affordable phone.After talking to friends and doing some research, I decided I did want to upgrade. I happened to be out of town (Montana) in the last few days of the return period. I walked into one of several Verizon stores only to discover that just because a store has the big red letters V-e-r-i-z-o-n sitting on top of it doesnt mean it is a real Verizon store. Turns out this store is a Cellular Sales indirect Verizon store. So not every Verizon store will honor your contact with this store.In my case, there was not a Cellular Sales Verizon store in all of Montana. and the nearest one was a 6-hour drive away, like you driving to New Jersey.I contacted the store to ask if I could FedEx my phone to them to be within their 14-day return period. For reasons they could not explain, they told they dont do this. The manager I talked to (a nice guy) said he would escalate my request to his managers to see if he could help me out. He promised to call me back. He never did, even though I called him 2x and left messages. I guess his managers didnt want to bother with honoring this 14-day return agreement with me. Walk away.
Salesmen to the nth degree. Undersold me old product, (oldest available Google phone at the time). Pleasant when they need to be, visibly annoyed when you arent cooperating with their intentions. Go to South Portland, better treatment and honest service.
I went in tonight and was pleasantly surprised that this Verizon location was open. I went in expecting to spend money on a phone to get me through until my replacement. Spencer was very informative and very helpful in helping me avoid spending unnecessary money. He was very polite and customer oriented. The next time I have to buy a new phone I will make it a point to buy it through Spencer

I had a decent experience when I first signed up with Verizon. They made it simple to get my account set up however like any sales person looking to make an extra buck I am realizing that the employee Wyatt was just saying whatever he could to get me to join. I was told I would receive a $200 dollar visa gift card and that it would be sent to me in 2 months of my account starting. While on a call with customer service I was told I needed to fill out a document that was sent over email to me however after reviewing all of my emails I have nothing that mentions the promotion she is talking about. If I had been told about needing to go to the email I would not be mad but I was told something completely different.If you are going to use Verizon at least this location I recommend recording your conversation when you go in because these sales people are top notch at BS to add as many cost to your bill as possible.
The service I received through Verizon/Cellular Sales was worth more than five stars. I got the pleasure of working with Daniel Bourque who went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I left a satisfied customer. I had a tricky situation with transferring phones, however Dan did everything to make sure I didn’t loose anything during the transfer. I would highly recommend Cellular Sales but more so Dan!
Josh at the front desk is the employee at this location I dealt with. To say he went above and beyond is understating the length at which he went through in order to bend and adapt to my specific situation. Not only was he knowledgeable and attentive while serving me at the store, but he showed his true intent by following up with personal phone calls making sure everything was working the way it should. I highly recommend this location, as well as Josh at the front desk.

Wow! What an amazing experience I had upgrading from a 5-year-old flip phone to a Motorola Z4! Kris D and Lewis spent practically all morning with me, and were patient, kind, and knowledgeable--and had senses of humor. I had not been looking forward to this experience, but they made it more than worthwhile

Could not speak more highly of Callahan who works at this Verizon Authorized Dealer. He helped me with my sons needs and also took the time out to explain things to me about my bill, how to use certain features and was extremely knowledgeable. John Adams was the customer service representative who set me up with my plan, at the 3 Somerset location in Portland, Maine. He did a wonderful job explaining everything to me in great detail, answering questions thoroughly while displaying amazing technical knowledge as well as most excellent customer service skills! I cant stress enough on how wonderful a job he did making me feel at ease while I was making difficult choices, understood, well informed and taken seriously as a customer, as he was showing a true passion for his trade along with a sincerity and professionalism I havent seen in other sales reps elsewhere for quite some time! A success-oriented management would do well to promote this gentleman or at the very least reward him in some kind of form for his outstanding efforts!
While the sale staff are pleasant and helpful, they are not always looking into your best interest as a customer. I updated my plan through here and was charged $45 twice for a phone activation fee, which is bogus because I set up my new phone without the rep ever touching it. This info was never disclosed during our process and any general user can restore form icloud backup thus negating the $45 charge. Yet we were still charged for it. I was also lead to believe that if i setup auto pay I would receive a credit, however it was not disclosed that it had to be on a certain card. In summary, theyre pleasant and helpful up front, but they are subtly screwing you on the back end. Just be cautious.
I came to Verizon to switch carriers from AT&T because they jacked up my rates and then told us to just switch to Verizon when we complained. Cody Proctor is the one who helped us out and we ended up with 4 new lines and phones and he made it the easiest process i have ever seen dealing with stuff. Highly recommend Cody to anyone looking to get a new phone.

I would like to thank EBEN from the Somerset St Portland Verizon store for helping my family switch to Verizon and pick out the best plan and phones to meet our needs. Eben was VERY helpful and took his time to make sure we were getting just what we wanted. He also followed up with me the following day to help me send my old phone back for a refund. Eben was VERY helpful and a pleasure to do business with he was certainly on our side trying to provide us with the very best deals. Thanks Eben :) cool name BTW.
Learn from my mistake - just go to the real Verizon store by the mall if you need a new phone. I went into Cellular Sales and bought a new iPhone at the end of January. I explained that I wanted to know what my bill would increase and the salesperson explained that it would be the difference between what I paid monthly on my iPhone 7 and the new phone. I explained that Verizon had quoted me about $40. She looked into my account and said it would be $15. I questioned this and she assured me, even calling over another salesperson to back her up. Because my phone was not working properly and affecting my business, I bought the phone, a screen protector and a case from her (which for the latter two, I was doing more or less because we had a common connection and I genuinely wanted to support her). Anyway, fast forward to my first bill and it has increased by $40. I called Verizon and they explained that I wasnt paying anything for my iPhone 7 and that the salesperson, even as an authorized retailer, would have seen this and that the information that I was provided was just not accurate. They apologized profusely, refunded my activation fee (which I didnt even ask for) and encouraged me to call the salesperson directly. Upon calling the salesperson, she explained that she cant really see all my account detail, so maybe I had a credit for the iPhone 7 but she wouldnt know that. What?! Told me she couldnt do anything about it and to call Verizon myself.Anyway, the point is that authorized retailers appear to be held to a different standard and behave more or less like a stereotypical salesperson, so just save yourself the time, money and hassle and work directly through Verizon.
Came down from the mountains of Maine to get a new phone. Steven and Bryan were very helpful. They inquired about my phone needs and usage. After a good conversation, they brought out 3 phone choices that met my needs and budget.
Quinn and Mindy were amazing. I had just landed at the airport and came into the store with my broken phone in a hurry. They were friendly and efficient, making sure I got what I needed and helped me get everything set up. The best experience I’ve ever had in my 10 plus years with Verizon.

I walked in with a ton of complex questions about data plans, settings, etc. Joe Sousa took excellent care of me and was extremely patient as I took notes. He helped me to make a couple of really great adjustments to my settings which will actually save me aggravation and in some cases money. Most of all he was just really nice and explained things as many times as I needed him to. Then, as an added bonus he actually was able to find me a nice little discount which was very much appreciated.

The best phone shopping experience Ive ever had in my life. My wife and I contacted the Verizon store in bayside, Portland to discuss upgrade options and got far more than we had anticipated, and spent FAR less than we could have imagined. Everything about our experience is worth more than 5 stars. Lewis Mackay and newcomer David (last name?) were profoundly supportive and helpful. Lewis scheduled us for the day after our initial call (which I always used to dread` calling/going in). We didnt have to wait, we got the best service possible, the best plan, cost, and options. My wife and I are EXTREMELY happy with everything, and will be contacting Lewis directly as our personal agent from here on. THANK YOU LEWIS MACKAY for restoring our faith in experiencing how fun getting a brand new phone can be. I could write many more superlatives here, but whoever reads this will get the point.

Went to purchase a new phone last week and although our representative wore a mask, most of the reps did not. When we asked about this, we were told that they put their masks on while helping customers. However, many were walking around or congregating in the back without masks. I had to come back an hour later and a different rep who helped me only out on a mask when I asked him. I did not see them using clorox wipes on the phones they handled and I did not see them keeping a distance between themselves when not helping customers.
Ben White took amazing care of me at Verizon! I came in with a broken phone and I was really upset. Now I have a new phone, with a lower bill and he turned my bad day into a really great one.I recommend him to anybody! Thanks so much Ben!! Youre the best!

I dropped in and had my Galaxy s4 tablet and Galaxy 10s questions answered even though I bought them at Best Buy.I was so happy that I lead the Verizon staff to the song, Sprint Sucks Balls. Everyone laughed and sang alongAnd with Sprint, you cant run out of angst or verses.(This is Maine. Your coverage might very, but I doubt it. Go Verizon and forgettaboutit.)

Devin was awesome! I didnt want to get a new phone because I dont like to learn new tech but he was very patient and made my new phone EXACTLY the way I wanted it! Very user-friendly. Thank you Devin!!
All of the employees were very friendly and helpful! While waiting to see if they could get my phone to charge, one employee realized my family could get an unlimited plan for $10 less than what we were currently paying. Additionally, Ben helped me through a 1 hour phone call with Verizon in order to get a new phone sent to me after mine stopped working after only 2 months of use. They go above and beyond for each customer without getting frustrated in any way. Best experience by far that Ive ever had with Verizon despite having to stay in the store for 3 hours to get my issue resolved over the phone. Will be returning to activate my new phone once it arrives. Thank you again!
Very friendly and helpful! I broke my phone snowboarding and they helped be replace it. They even stayed open late to help me.
Spencer was seriously so helpful! I came in when my phone unexpectedly stopped working while on a app based job and he reset my phone and allowed me to use his to let my work know what was going on! Definitely a great experience in customer service:)
I will make this short and sweet. My experience at Verizon was terrible. From the moment I stepped in I was swindled in a bad plan that just costed me more money to sign up as well as paying a monthly bill. I was told that I would get a free tablet with my purchase but he fauled to tell me until I went to sign on the dotted line that my tablet comes with a two year SERVICE contract. So in my eyes.....its not free. He was very deceiving the entire time and I walked out feeling like I had been taken advantage of. After a few days I found a much better experience and deal with US Cellular and I returned my items to Verizon and felt so much better. I would not recommend this carrier
