Cashier was very helpful opened up lane because I had alot of grocery on self checkout!!!

Smaller store. No jewelry counter but had what we needed.. coincidentally I actually needed jewelry LOL a tongue ring! Its all good though. Good spot.

Always shop here in Portland until recently. Went to use self checkout since only registers open. Was told no cash option available. I needed to ring up items, get total, then purchase gift card at cashiers station with cash, go back to my register, then use card to complete transaction. Sorry, too much bs. Left items and went to nearby grocery store that happily accepts cash. Gotta love my HEB!

Not too many complaints aside from they need to hire more help with that being said. They have a tire and lube center so you can get your car worked on while youre waiting you can do your grocery shopping they have a hunting and fishing section so you can get your license to hunt or fish plus they have ammunition which is something not many places have right now they have your electronic center they have a full bakery deli and produce I guess they could add a seafood department which is the one thing I guess theyre missing is no seafood department however they do have fish pet and shrimp packaged up some fresh some Frozen. One thing Im not a fan of is Cash checkouts severely lacking one cash checkout center everything else is credit card self ring yourself up self bag your stuff up but I know a lot of businesses are trying to cut down on manpower and making us do all of our own work. But no major complaints customer staff seemed pretty nice at least the people I came in contact with.

When were in town of Portland, we like to stop to pick up some fresh fruit and vegetables. They are always fresh!

The room was not super clean and had a kinda strange odor. But was the cheapest room on memorial day weekend and I was there for work so it was pretty much what I expected. Not bad for the price if you just need a bed for a night or two. If you are picky about stuff, its probably not the place for you. the view was great and it did have a private balcony overlooking the bay.. Very nice people working housekeeping and office.

The automotive center team was top notch here today. They were very backed up but moved as fast as they could to get the vehicles through. We had two special circumstances that we needed to work through. Jose and Martin stepped up to help us with the situation. I highly recommend this team for customer service. The four stars is due to the time it did take to get the repair done...

Its always a pleasure going to walmart, because I seem to get everything and more than what was meant to get.

They actually carry a decent selection of adult beverages, I was impressed.

The pharmacy staff are at the top of my list, A+ great group no waiting. Very nice and helpful answers any questions about the medication. Im a heart patient go there very often always friendly even though I work here but home is 1000 miles away they make it happen. Thank God for all of the team .

Me and my husband got done shopping and we was checking out and register froze up after one coupon. So we was going to another lane two cashier ladies was being rude to me telling me where I needed to check out there and I was choosing my own lane.

Friendly, helpful, cheerful associates... even at 6AM! The site is clean, well-ordered & exceeds expectations...I live in CC but work in Portland & now plan my Walmart shopping to coincide when Im here.Definitely worth the trip.

Paula in the auto service was soo good to us!! we drove from wichita Ks, just figured we’d get an oil change before heading back home. Paula was very welcoming and friendly. They got our vehicle in very quickly and it was a reasonable price. Paula let us know about some cool things to do around this part of town too!!

I bought tires on Walmart.com i have a jeep with a lift that the other walmart auto centers wouldnt work on. The auto service manager is AMAZING. We made an appointment and he got us in and out in less than 2 hours. Will always return for tire needs.

They need better customer relations. They also need to be consistent with there stock.

I think the wall of Honor of our heroes in the military nice gesture but to stick it in the very back of the store where nobody will ever see it not honor maybe Walmarts a shame of our military I know Ive seen this wall and other stores at the front not in the back

Went into newly remodeled store to find they have put in all self serve check-outs with only 4 actual checkout stands, which were ALL closed, they no longer accept cash at self checkout, and with no opened cash accepting lanes, they are essentially telling me to shop elsewhere .

They never have enough workers to help disabled persons with heavyweight options need to put the heavy objects in your basket and when in you have ones that they afterwards into a vehicle. They are very help and are courteous when they help you but disappear getting back down to the end. They way overworked and can only imagine how much they get paid.

Update. 07/02/21Why is there only one register that will let you have cash back????! Changing my 5 star review to 2 stars until this is addressed.May 2021I always had a great experience here but I just wanted to add that today was super helpful. Stephen, the team lead, helps me on the phone when I was on my way to the store to locate an item and then once I was there and I still couldnt find it he came to the aisle and helped me. Amazing service!

Jose at the Walmart in Portland in the Automotive Center saved our lives! We had our tire blow out on Sunday evening and this was the closest Walmart to us that had our tire size! Not to mention practically the ONLY repair that was open on Sunday. We had a family emergency in Corpus and had to get down there for a bit but also had to get back to Houston in the same day as my son had his first day of school the next day and we all had work. Jose graciously took us in at the last minute and put a new tire on for us. Please give this man a promotion and the biggest raise. He absolutely deserves it!

Employees are very friendly and helpful!! I enjoy shopping at this Walmart more than the Beeville TX Walmart.

A havent visited this location in years. Getting in and out was tricky since theres only the self-checkouts available and it was busy. Nice helpful staff though.

Once again Walmart came through for a place to park our motorhome overnight! Of course we always stock up on Ben & Jerrys, eggs and beer. The essentials! Also check out Patti Labelles peach cobbler!🤗

Never any workers around and they put alot on the self checkout staff. They were swamped but kept things moving. Maybe open just a couple of the regular registers when it is super busy?

Employees have always been helpful and friendly at this Walmart, its close to my home. In fact, more than once, Ive had someone Id asked for help, go out of their way,without attitude, to resolve my issue. The only complaint I have is when I find theyve dropped an item i buy every week, just gone, no warning or reason?!.

We went to this Walmart location on a recent trip to Corpus Christi. As usual, with any new locations the set up was different from the local Walmart we are used to shopping from.However, we were able to find what we were looking for (beach umbrellas) relatively quickly without asking for help from a store attendant.

I absolutely hate scanning my own stuff at any Walmart theyre all the same no cashiers nothing no hell no cash just card I hate those self-serve things what happened to customer service someone is to tell Walmart ink or something

I was there this weekend from out of town sneaky employees changing prices on items that were marked down i called the employee out and asked why she removed the price tag and she said because it was the wrong price it was not because it specificly described my product. I feel the employee wanted the product for herself sorry people you got working there at your store Walmart

I had to wait in a line for self checkout, because the regular register with a cashier was super long. Yes 1 register with a cashier out of 20 was open. Then Im told if Im using cash I have to get help voiding my purchase after Im done ringing and bagging all my groceries up and move to another register for payment... Ok, there was nobody in that line so I decided to go ahead with my purchase. When I finished there was 4 people ahead of me... I waited 5 mins in that line with no movement before just giving up and going to HEB. Absolutely hated the experience. It took 1 1/2 hours from my life. With no compensation or benefits offered. If Im taking some other Americans job shouldnt I be payed for doing their work? I WILL NOT GO BACK!!!

Checking out is a pain. I still do not understand why they rely on self checkout vs. checkers.

Its good but they run out of products and take a very long time to restock. Also food choices are very limited.

I was at my wits end with my double stroller. We drove all the way to the Texas State Aquarium to discover our stroller tires were FLAT. So flat the gas station pumps couldn’t get a seal. I went to the auto center at the Portland Walmart and was told they couldn’t use their compressors either. I felt hopeless, but Jay and Paula went above and beyond to find me a bike pump that had a good enough seal to inflate the stroller tires. They saved the day and allowed us to have a great experience at the aquarium! Way to go Jay and Paula! Walmart rockstars!

I love going to Walmart they have everything, but lately every time I go I have to deal with cashiers due to the self checkout not accepting cash.

HORRIBLE wait experience!!! Was not able to make a payment at check out with register associate. However associate was new and did inquire assistance from floor management, still unable to process and redirected to customer which was a 40 minute wait due to only one associate working the area. Unsure if the people walking back and forth behind the service desk and employee only security area were management. But if you see a line extending out of customer service, SOMEONE should have stepped in and resolved the backup.

If you don’t mind using self checkout then this is the store to go to! Never do they have the other cashier lines open. The line can be a mile long and still self checkout is the only option. Their produce department always has spoiled food. The meat department lacks majorly. I choose to go to H‑E‑B before I go to this Walmart location.

I actually ran into employees who were not only helpful, but they seemed to enjoy being helpful. This particular store was very clean and orderly. We were able to find almost everything we needed.

The Portland Wal-Mart is a great place for shopping for gardening and electronics. The clothing goods are decent, but not exceptional. Grocery is good for basic food needs, like milk, poultry and meats. Thrle wine and beer offerings are decent. The bakery and deli departments are above average, though.

Always friendly staff. Clean and tidy. Hope they get the mask regulation in check! 💯💯 protocol safety for out employees and customers top priority.

All doors open everybody doing their job maybe my new Walmart

The store website claims to have certain packages of comic books. THEY DO NOT. The packages of comic books they DO have are all open and tampered with. Does this store even HAVE security? But I have the 2 star because the few staff they have were all very friendly and helpful.
