I am so sad this store is closing (NE Broadway location) due to COVID-19. Staff has always been so nice and they have a great variety and collection of comics and merchandise. I will miss having them in the neighborhood.

Bigger store than the Milwaukie location, but I felt not as many options?? But maybe it was the same and it was the size that made it feel less. Either way, love this company! My go too for comics, graphic novels and anything nerdy and collectible.

I havent been in for a while but I recently did for free comic book day. It was an awesome in there as it was the last time I went in! Keep up the great work, folks. They have an amazing election and amazing crew.

Love the staff, so knowledgeable and super cool to boot. Ive been in their countless times and its always the same great customer service and conversation. If only I had these guys in every store I go to.

Big and spacious. Nice amount of room between the products to move around and explore (opposite of the cramped Milwaukie location). Its clean and staff is super friendly. My go to spot when Im craving a new graphic novel. Great place to just browse as well, lots of options to look through to appease your inner nerd.

This store is really awesome. Its a very open, well thought out space with lots of classic comic book memorabilia. Im more of a board gamer than a comic book nerd, and I was pleased to see that they have a solid selection of RPGs, tabletop games and Pokemon/Magic/Star Wars Destiny products as well. Very friendly staff and just an all round great shop. Definitely check it out!

Never leave this place empty handed. However, it seem, at least based on my last visit, that the store is sort of naturally morphing into a comic book store, which is kind of a bummer. Still going to give it 5 stars. Its a great store if youre into what they sell. Spport this local business, they are really great people and deserve your patronage! 💜

Great little comic book store, they usually have good sales happening. They have regular game nights where you can try new board games before you buy them. Very knowledgeable staff.

Great store, mega friendly staff. They make you feel welcomed. I go in there all the time and they remeber a ton about me. They take their customer service very personally. Its such a great store. Only complaint is so many of my favorite people left. But still have Ethan 😁😁😁great awesome dude.

Really fun store, lots of comic books, and hardcover collections, but also toys and novelty gifts from the geek/nerd subculture. Its a fun place to just browse around at, even if you dont need anything specific. Probably moreso, in fact.

My friendly neighborhood comic book store! They are consistently well stocked, and make great recommendations. They have a great selection of games and toys and whatnot, but I mostly come for the comic books. Theyre knowledgeable, friendly, and have fun events. Friendly for the geekiest of comic book geeks as well as the most recent novice.

It is only one of two stores in the Portland metro area that carries Heroclix. For my nerdy family, that is huge! Staff is awesome, selection is great, and we will make the trek from Salem again!

A great local treasure owned by Dark Horse Comics. Staff is also helpful and not pushy. Prices could be a little more competitive on memrobilia, though. Worth checking out!

Pretty disappointed in this place. Weve spent a fair amount of money at this location specifically over the years and was told that a comic we purchased exactly 6 days ago could not be returned. We brought it back as we already owned a copy of the comic and just wanted to exchange it for something else or get a refund of $20.This stores policy is to not accept open merchandise, which according to this stores management includes any comic that walks out their front door, with or without packaging.This practice is perfectly fine, but it does go directly against what is printed on their receipt and is in direct conflict with their own policies as listed on their site. Well happily take our money elsewhere, but figured it would be helpful to let folks know about some, rather shady, business practices.

Its one of my favorite stores. I spend a lot of time and way too much money when I visit lol. I recommend it to anyone who loves pop culture and comics!

This is my favorite comic book store! They have everything, the staff is so helpful and friendly, and they have a kids area for my littles. We always end up spending a lot of time just hanging out and looking at things. I love this place ❤

Great November sale!! Spend $60 & save 15%; spend $100 & save 20%. Very clean and well organized store. Only complaint is that they do not have back issues. Look for the grab bags, relatively recent issues, 10 books for $4.95!!!!

This place is pretty cool. The people who work there are awesome and helpful. Would have given 5 stars if it wasnt so small, and in turn, has a small selection.

My husband has a box here so I pop in with time from time to time. Last cool thing i noticed was they had some game tables set up to test out table top games. Great selection of trades and other comic-y finds too.

Great selection of collectible and the stores are clean. With that said, unfortunately the prices are to high. The staff is not allowed to price match. Almost everything in store is avail online for much cheaper. Dont get me wrong Im all about shopping brick n mortar stores and keeping the revenue/sales local, but why would I pay anywhere from 10% to 45% more at this store when I can get it much cheaper. Online such as Amazon or sometimes direct from the orig distributor are a much better value. I just browse TFAW to see the item in persin before I buy online.

Great comic shop with fair pricing, nice staff and clean facility. Brought my 5 year old there and even though he was a little loud ect, they were super nice and helpful to us. Best part is they have a discounted comics bin...2 bucks a pop to support local biz, your favorite artists and heros.

This place is comic book heaven - a wonderful breadth and depth of comics and paraphernalia, and well-read staff to guide you based on your preferences, without being too attentive. Always a happy place to drop in for your comic fix!

Dont know about the store front, but the online store leaves a lot to be desired. Hard to navigate the website as there are so many pre-orders and back orders listed you have a difficult time finding what is actually in stock. I have ordered several times and it seems like every other time my order is packed poorly. While they have what appears to be some good deals, it isnt a good deal if your stuff arrives dinged up and damaged. Ill stick with Midtown and Mile High, thank you.

My granddaughter found exactly what she was looking for in this well-organized little graphic novel/ comics/related-items shop.

I had been going to tfaw on/off for a few years, mostly just stopping by during FCBD with my dad. Back in January, I decided to start getting into comics and started coming to this store about 2-3 times a month. Every time I do I always have an amazing experience. The staff are always super knowledgable and friendly, and great at answering questions (If they cant answer it for you, theyll find where you can get that answer!). Its definitely more recent/modern oriented, but still a wonderful comic book store, especially for those looking to get into comics.

Everything a nerd would want. Figurines and comic books! Pretty clean and organized joint compared to some of the comic book stores Ive been to. Will be back!

My son loves this place. Comic book nerds abound. All kinds of figurines of heroes and monsters. Cool to walk through to see models on display.

The Portland location of Things From Another World has quickly become my go-to shop for all things comics and comics related. Between their knowledgeable and friendly staff, their excellent selection and their well laid out floor, the Portland TFAW is well worth your time if you are looking for comics or just nerdy accoutrements. Well worth your time.

I was here the night of the signing with Brian Bendis and their staff was very helpful and seemed organized. The store itself is pretty big and was clean. I appreciate that they have a childrens area with a Lego topped table and loads of golden books and kid friendly comics. I was also impressed by their sizeable area of back issue bins. I would go back and I would recommend checking it out.

In a stretch of just a few blocks theres a gym, an arthouse theater and a comic shop. Pretty much everything that I need for entertainment.Not only do they have a great selection of comics, trades and similar good here, they have events at this location that bring in Artists and Authors from near and far for a signing thats catered with local beer favorites and home-cooked appetizers.

One of the best LCSs anywhere. Make your stop here a priority. Tell Ethan that Tall Josh sent you. ;-)
