IF STORE DOESNT COMPLY WITH ENFORCING MASK MANDATE, OSHA WILL BE NOTIFIED. And clerks wearing madk OVER nose!!! $5000 fine EACH violation, and youre responsible for the customers, too.
Great selection of middle eastern spices and other international food and beverages
CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATE!!! It’s a very good store especially for muslims and arabs looking for specific products. but I had multiple incidents over the past years that they sell expired products and do not take them off the shelf so you have to check yourself!!
My friend lost his wallet and all the money was taken out and Guy working register didnt let us see the camera to find out who returned the wallet and took his money until the next day but this this just happened though so it wasnt really cool that he had to wait till the morning came back within 20 minutes maybe 30
One of the best locally owned shops in downtown. The people who own and run it have been nothing but friendly each time I have visited it, which is regularly over the past decade. The type of local business I feel good about supporting for that reason. Also a great selection of international food items and smoking material
I appreciate that this place exists because its closer to where I live than any grocery stores so it can be nice for picking up one item that I need (Im a baker and recipe developer and often run out of flour and stuff). However, the customer service can be okay to awful depending on who you get. Ive also had problems picking up UPS packages here (they forgot a letter in my name when they recorded it and insisted it wasnt me, and also got really rude and argued when I said I was picking up an Amazon package because were not Amazon!!). I also once bought a head of garlic from their produce section that, when I got home and cut into it, was completely dust and mold. And theyve recently stopped wearing masks altogether and when they do on occasion, they have it pulled under their nose. Really?
The worst prices in the areas.put of doubt foot etc
Did you know you can drop off UPS packages here? The guy who runs the place is very nice and was very helpful in multiple ways!
Electronic products with disposable batteries are non-functional and employee (Steve? Scott? White guy) is rude and not helpful. Additionally, they require a minimum purchase for EBT ($6); this apparently only occurs with unhoused people. Complaint with State has been filed.
UPS uses this shop as a drop off point so I went after work to go pick up my mail. It was 6:30 PM in the shop closes at 2 AM. The shop was locked and no one was inside. The sign said open and all the lights were on and the TV was on but no one answered the door no one answered the phone even though I knocked and called. This really frustrated me as my property - my mail - was in there. No one showed up for 20 minutes so I left. Hopefully I can get my package soon and hopefully UPS uses another more reliable drop off point .
Ive lived upstairs from this place for a while and shop here frequently. I like their wide range of products especially the tea! Ive always experienced great customer service except recently when I come In at night there has been a lady working who is literally the rudest person that has ever rang me out anywhere. She lets you stand at the register waiting for her to get up and ring you out while she stares at you and is just all around rude. I dont even want to shop here anymore so I just go to safeway to avoid dealing with her. This makes me so sad because I really liked the convenience of this place but its just too much to ignore.
Great little middle eastern influenced convenience store. Great for Tea, spices, and upscale ramen. Go visit just to check out what they have on the shelves!
I tried making a purchase for $3.50 and both workers tried to tell me I had to spend at lease $6 minimum and refused to just charge me the .25 or .50 cent debit fee and turned my entire purchase away.Theyre greedy and scandalous. One of the workers also calls me sweety, hunny and beautiful multiple times every time I come in and it makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. Oh and they up charge everything; way more than other markets. Horrible place!
A neighborhood store close to the PSU campus. The people are cool and its downtown.
Wish they would restock the Apricot paste, imported from Syria.I buy as many as I can almost every month. Now they dont seem to have it anymore. If not then its only one star for me
Great event :D but lots of Poeple
Sucks when you try to support local businesses and the doors are locked despite it being 45 minutes before posted closing time & there being a flashing “OPEN” sign
The photos for this location are misleading; the product lineup has changed from a standard US convenience store to 90% middle eastern market. So just dont go in expecting what you see in this map entry.
Its okay Im a pinch, but not my first choice. On the expensive side.
Been there for a visit, tried hyper expensive store, some expired and rude owner, never go there again
This store charges customers .50 for using credit or debit cards -- this is in violation of the Merchant Violation at Point of Sale. Report them!
Overpriced, good selection though
