They have a ton of paper selection here as well as cards and wrapping paper. There is a very cool assortment of gifts and novelty items. They are very courteous to their customers and help as much as they can without pushing themselves on you. They are a little on the pricey side though
I went with my white friend who is a regular and had no issues, they even let him wander the store for a few minutes past closing. however, when i went with my sister, they made us feel extremely unwelcome and unwanted. i felt like i was being pressured to stop wandering around and to get out as quickly as possible when other people werent. when we went to check out, the cashier said there was a problem with the register. another employee asked if they needed help rebooting it before their shift ended, the one with me told them dont bother. i had cash, card, AND payment via my phone that i could have used but the cashier would only smile and say sorry! instead of trying to do anything. when my sister and i stepped out of line while i checked my bank account (which worked perfectly fine all day and continued to do so after visiting here), the register worked PERFECTLY for all 5 separate transactions behind us (amazing how that works!! :) guess the machine automatically knows when someone is untrustworthy and just decided to shut down for us and only us). i was so embarrassed and upset. this place is obviously only welcome to a certain type of person and it wasnt my sister or me.
In the middle of bustling 23rd Avenue is an oasis of color and imagination. This shop is bright, well ordered and well stocked with the kinds of things we want while we are sequestered in our homes.Craft papers! Wrapping papers! Pens and inks and stamps and stamp pads! Buntings and swags and party bags! Journals!Theyre not terribly expensive, but they do make things brighter when you cant get out of your house to pass the time. Give this shop a try, your life will be a little bit more colorful for it.
I love it here! Be prepared to spend money.
Fun place to browse around...lots of cute gifts...also good for scrapbooking or making paper invitations of all kinds
Friendly and helpful staff. Now the sole source of all of my paper related needs.
Not a huge card selection - more of a gift shop than card shop if that’s what you’re looking for! Paper selection and always have seasonal items. 4 stars as everything is a bit pricey
The Paper Source always has a good selection of products for all your celebratory needs. I regularly mine their birthday card selection, and their wide array of offbeat items makes for hear White Elephant gifts around the holidays. Additionally, the staff are always friendly and helpful.
Wonderful store + marvelous employees.
The employees here are extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. I had an uncommon request and they immediately found solutions, ending up with something even better than what Id pictured. Highly recommended if youre making your own craft, but also for gifts, wrapping, and other projects. Much more than just paper!
I am absolutely in love with this store and the beautiful human beings who work here! They are truly some of the kindest, most welcoming souls on the planet! I always walk out with the most gorgeous products which I constantly look forward to using! Thank you so much paper source!
Great customer service! Really appreciated the creativity and suggestions for making what could have been boring letters on Plain paper into something truly unique and personal. Thank you so much Paper Source!
Great location on 23rd, easily accessible from the street, carry fun and useful little things. My favorites are their cards, calendars, and stamps, though I usually see something new that makes me smile whenever I go there. :-) Staff is friendly. They have discounts too. However, it can get kinda crammed inside, especially when there are many people, so Id recommend to plan for that.
This store has so much fun and awesome papers and little trinkets. I could look around here for hours and still not see everything! The staff is so nice and friendly and wonderfully helpful. This was my first visit ever and I will definitely be going back for more.
Great selection! Super friendly staff. They helped me find exactly what I wanted for a custom Valentine Day gift.
Good selection of specialty papers, art materials, books and gifts
This place is beyond rad!!
Amazing staff. March took her time to help us pick the perfect wedding invitations.
I LOVE this store. Its impossible to leave without buying anything. It takes a tough person! Everything is adorable, they usually have a great stock of papers and envelopes and colors available, and if they dont they will call other locations. HOWEVER...the staff varies. Usually they are sweet and friendly and love to be personable. But the other day I needed help with getting some envelopes. I couldnt go upstairs because I had a stroller with an infant and toddler. So I asked at the counter if someone would be able to go up there to grab me 80 envelopes. At first there were two people behind the counter chatting, and a gentleman who was VERY chatty, almost felt like he was whispering about guests or others in the store. I noticed a few times while I was browsing that he would go up to another employee and sort of whisper and look over at someone. It made me feel uneasy. Then when I went to ask them for help it was like I wasnt there. So I eventually said excuse me? I had a question. The guy came up to me and was like did you need something? And I told him exactly what I needed and pointed to my stroller while explaining that I cant go up there myself or I would. He almost interrupted me and pointed at a different employee and said she can help you. Ask her. Then went back to the conversation. I felt pushed off and like I was an annoyance. I NEVER feel that way at this store and come there often as Im a invitation designer. I just felt very hurt by that interaction. The girl who did help me was EXACTLY the type of person I expect from there! Super sweet and very understanding! So it helped make up for the rude behavior from the previous encounter. I dont like to leave bad reviews, but as a mom with kids...it really offended me. I will still visit this location obviously...but what are reviews for if not to explain situations like this?
Lots of choices. Very pretty. If the paper is nice too
Unique shop on the ever busy NW 23rd Ave shopping district. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff (they really know their paper!) and always a smile for the customers or even the potential customers just browsing the store.
Super cute store to browse. Could read the cards all day. Friendly staff. A bit on the steep side but pretty in line with non hill
Paper source is one of my favorite stores on 23rd. Its a fun little craft shop where you can get some many creative ideas. You can buy a lot of things to make cards and banners. They also have a nice selection of planners and other fun things to make crafts. The staff is very helpful and they also host classes.
This shop is just amazing! I loved every single part of it, its divided into different themes and has lots of useful and unique features, prices are a bit high but if youre searching for something interesting, different, for any kind of age you will totally find something for you here. Staff was very cool too!
So many delightful gifts and holiday things, its like stepping into a mini wonderland.Great toys and cards and holiday themed decorations; as well as party accessories and gift wrapping papers and ribbons and stickers and beaitiful journals and diaries and pens and just a seemingly endless selection of fun and useful things.
I adore this shop. The salespeople are so nice, and clearly love creating things. They will help with all of your project needs, as well as give you new ideas. Like the website, the shop runs frequent sales on seasonal items, and sometimes even on items not advertised (Ive had greeting cards ring up on sale - an unexpected treat!).
The cutest stationary and gift ideas! I bought the cat pens as souvenirs and everyone loves them!
Friendly staff and awesome location! I love the custom stationery
Cute stuff and the staff is always super helpful. Theyve helped me pick out a few gifts and cards for friends and family. More than just boring Hallmark
Fun place with lots of unique things. Worth a visit if youre in the area.
As if I didn’t love pens, planners and highlighters enough EVERYONE that works here is so sweet and kind. I couldn’t say enough good things about this location. Love love love
DO you sell a book of etiquette too
Color & wonderful designs, sparklies, smell goods, lovely, fun surprise gift ideas, beautiful papers, writing implements ~ everything in every direction is inviting!
Great place for cards for friends or to get some paper for making your own.
Cute store with lots of great ideas for gifts. Some items are a bit pricey compared to others. I was able to pick up a few gift items and enjoyed walking around looking at all they have.
This place is awesome! I bought some fancy wrapping paper for my girlfriends birthday present. I told the staff at Paper Source I was surprising her, they told me to bring in her gift, and they helped me wrap it to keep the gift a surprise. To top it off, I came in a few minutes before closing and they stayed later to help me out. 10/10 service.
Fun store with a great selection of all kinds of paper items and gifts.
Super cute store, my partner loves it. But the gender specification for men is small so most males might feel that there isnt much to do after 10-15 min
I love this place, they always have adorable stationary and craft supplies. Their stock changes quite a bit through the seasons it seems which means every time I go there theres always lots of new stuff to browse through.
Staff was nice. Have some gendered division in one part of store which isnt great but rest of the store is nice.
Very unique cards. A wide selection of gift wrap and ribbons. Some great small toys for young and old alike.
What an excellent place for stamps and stationary! They also have a section for washi tape. Many of their goods make cute (overly expensive) gifts, but if thats your kind of thing, youll definitely love it.
Really nifty place! Ill definitely come back here for my craft ideas! Very cute gift novelties .
Always find something interesting at this store. Its not just great for cards, but also a fantastic place for little gifts and stocking-stuffers.
An eclectic stationary store with cards, specialty paper, pens, stamps, and quite a bit of misc arranged by theme.
Love this place!!!
Came here to get a greeting card. They have a very good selection of non-generic cards. Also a good selection of other gifts.
This place is truly my Mecca. Their cards are unique and cute with calendars and stamps in plenty. How can you not want to shop here? Answer: you must!
Beautiful handmade paper. Perfect for my needs. Kind service and lovely shop.
Nice store but organisation not so logical !
Clean location and very well organized.
We took a card making class here and it was fun, but the set up was really weird because we had to switch places with the downstairs group and it just seems strange. It felt a little over priced for what you got but I would probably do it again if my group wanted to go again.
Super cute store. Also lots of fun and unique girfts to buy. Employees are nice too, which is a plus 😊
Various beautiful things are in here. If you enjoy decorating, you should drop by here.
Everything you need for extra special printing projects.
There are so many great paper items to pick from. The wrapping paper designs are top notch!
Super nice variety of paper goods and planners. It is a bit exspensive but they are worth it and so much better than a card that you could buy at a walgreens. They have a nice little clearnce section upstairs that you can usually find some random holiday/seasonal cards for less than 3 or 4 dollars.
Cute guy working there! Fun store with lots of cool stuff.
Adorable store with gift and stationary items!
Had an issue with the store, but it was resolved very nicely by the manager! I love the beautiful things they have.
Not bad but most the stuff here a bit pricey. But if you are a crafty person price wont affect your visit because they have what you need.
Enjoyed the staffs enthusiasm and their impromptu embossing product line demonstration.💁Very cute stationery and creative gifts everywhere! 🎠🎨
Extremely friendly staff and an extremely fun store. Great for getting gifts and celebratory supplies.
Clean, awesome stuff, easy returns even without receipt
What a hidden gem. That have everything you need, for, well, your paper needs. plus some other trinkets and small gifts
All sorts of fun gift ideas. Nice card selection.
Friendly staff and great location.
Every corner has something different. A beautiful store for the creative souls
Beautiful (but a bit pricey), they have gift wrap, decor and knick knacks.
There are small goods sold for small gifts. (= not very expensive one) Also, there are wrapping papers which we dont see in other stores such as Michaels etc. The store clerk is generally very friendly.
So many fun and interesting crafts, cards, small gifts, paper related items.
The ladies working not only let us bring our dog in, they fawned over him the entire time we were there. Many cute things in this store and helpful staff.
Prices can be pretty high here, so come right after Christmas for their after Christmas specials and pick up an ornament!Their paper products are great if you are in that kind of thing.
Beautiful but... expensive.
Interesting place to find a gift while in Portland.
Cute cards, but pricey. Handy place for a quick gift.
Get all my card stock there.Very customer friendly and helpful.
Fun shop with original gifts
Didnt have a good variety of calendars
Great place for generically romantic gifts.
Might be the best looking Paper Source in downtown Portland!
Perfect for the crafty, particular person.
Do NOT get your wedding invitations done here. I have had so many issues with customer service and my invitations came incomplete for the first order and when I had to reorder more. Now my invitations are going out late. It has literally been a nightmare
Cute trendy items.
Amazing inventory and great service
Love this place, even if it expensive
Interesting fun shop
Fun little craft store
Nice selection
Fun but expensive paper boutique
Friendly staff, lots of arts and crafts, but would rather go to a Michaels or stationary instead.
So much cool stuff, make sure you go up stairs!
Pricey, but a wide selection that has saved me in several tight pinches
Attractive paper.
Nice
Cute gifts
Nice place
Love it
