They made my day having crullers. I figured the name implied only filled donuts which are all well and good but I LOVED the crullers. It’s not a style of donut many shops try to make. We grabbed a filled donut as well and enjoyed it though I can’t overstate how big of a cruller stan I am.

Yum! How do Portlandians deal with so many donut shops?! This place was good. The crueller brought back good old days memories of Winchel’s, creative menu and classics. Friendly staff, clean place - too many great flavors to choose from. Will return again.

Fun new Berliner style donut shop taking over the old Blue Star location downtown. Sweet and savory filled offerings, including a pimento cheese and chicken liver mousse. My favorites were the Boston cream pie, white chocolate passion fruit, and masala chai. They also offer a breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon, and pimento that was tasty.

Tried the pop up burgers, not any donuts.The buns is crispy without being too oily. It’s definitely a different consistency than a grilled or toasted bun. Even the brioche flavor is slightly different, maybe nutty?The hamburger as a whole was just too salty for me which sort of ruined the experience. If there is an option, next time I’ll have to try it without salt.The fries have the consistency, thickness, and taste (without truffle oil) as little big burger fries.Best of luck at their new LO spot!

Incredibly friendly staff with can’t-beat flavors; price is comparable to Voodoo Donuts, but you can tell that they really put their heart and mind into each flavor combination.

An exciting addition to the Portland donut scene! The fillings were all really delicious- not too sweet, but creamy and decadent.

Yummy donuts!! Definitely recommend trying the passionfruit and any of the chocolate topped ones. Also if you’re feeling savory, the pimento cheese is surprisingly delightful. Enjoy!!

Fills Burgers was well worth our drive down from Vancouver. The brioche buns were crisped to perfection and the garlic aioli lent a delightful zing to the cheeseburger. The veggies and beef patty were fresh. The staff was very friendly and they serve Coke by the bottle.

Loved these donuts! The strawberry rhubarb was to die for and I cant stop thinking about it! Definitely worth a visit!

I got the strawberry rhubarb and the earl grey creme. Both were delicious. I really appreciate the unique, adventurous flavors they offer. The shop itself was also really nice inside. My only criticism was the doughnuts were just too big. They are truly an XL doughnut and no one needs THAT much sugar. They could be half the size and I would be content.

Tons of variety of unique doughnuts! We got one that we couldnt pronounce the name but it was really good! Its also a stop on the Pedal Bikes Doughnuts tour. So check that out!

Bought a 6 donut variety on my first visit to Fills. Ate a Maple Bacon immediately and it was delicious. Flavorful, savory, not too sweet, and the donut reminded me of a toothsome croissant. Later I wolfed down their pimento cheese donut, and loved it too. Then ... I found every other one was terrific --even after freezing them.The counter person who greeted me was as nice and friendly as can be, and the shop looks great. I love Blue Star and Tonallis donuts, but Fills blows them away. My new, occasional guilty pleasure.

Delicious Boston Cream doughnut - not too sweet, rich filling and toothful dough with a bit of bite from salt. Paired that with Good Coffee and I was all set. Bought several additional doughnuts and a bit of their fillings leaked in my box as a preview of whats to come. Everything tasted great and reasonable in price. I am glad to have Fills near by!

I was wondering if another donut shop would move in on the space Blue Star previously occupied. Pleasant surprise that this Berliner-style shop chose to take up the reigns. A lot of their fillings sound intriguing, including the pimento cheese as well as the single-malt scotch custard, but the hot honey glaze and seasonal apple butter will probably keep me coming back.

Friendly staff! Donuts were so good! Lightly fried to perfection and the filling was delicious. The chicken liver is worth trying! Our favorites so far are the Boston Creme and Cheese Plate.

Delicious donuts! We tried the Boston Creme Pie and the Pimento Cheese, the Pimento cheese was my favorite; a solid breakfast choice. The donuts were fresh and the service was fast. Only drawback was the service wasn’t anything special; not friendly at all but not rude. Would go back and try their breakfast sandwich next time! That pimento cheese is Very good!

Portland has big donut competition, but these are some of the most delicious the city has to offer. Their flavors are all done super well, and nothing is overly saccharine. The passionfruit donut was awesome with a bright flavor, pimento was also delicious and one of the best savory donuts. They know what theyre doing here 👍🏻

Great new donut shop in downtown Portland! They have a really great selection of flavors, and even a couple that i never expected in a donut (the pimento cheese, seriously try it, it will change your life). The care and consideration for safety that the owners have shown as a new business opening in the era of covid is exceptional. Honestly, it’s a model that many retail stores and restaurants should use as an example.

Got the butterscotch maple bacon. On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 10! It was delicious! I went for the chicken liver filled topped with jam and fried onions, however, it’s not a everyday item on the menu. Was a little disappointed as I was looking forward to trying it. They recommend calling to see if it’s available before going down there.

The Schezuan and the goat cheese were both very good. Best donut in Portland. They nailed the texture: a little al dente on the outside, chewy on the inside. Delicious filling and most importantly: not too sweet.

God these are great! Gourmet lightness in filling, but not gourmet pricing. Beautifully cooked donut, yummy. Head on down. Hazelnut filled was killa.

I was excited to try them out. But was disappointed. The donut part was dry and over cooked. The chai filling was okay, more cinnamon than anything and was runny. The yuzu was also dry and overcooked, but the creme was thick and delicious, but not nearly enough the balance out how dry the donut was. Might try them again at some point just to see if it was an off day. Did appreciate it wasnt overly sweet.

I really wanted to like Fills. They have interesting-sounding flavors, and are branded to not be overly sweet. I bought one of almost every type of Berliner to get the full experience.I honestly thought I was being pranked. Both savory and sweet doughnuts had the same bland dough (granted they had a great texture and bake). The chocolate topping on a few flavors was literally salty and sour- I wondered if they forgot to add sugar at all. I wondered if the baker was new or they messed something up that morning. The fillings on other doughnuts had only a hint of the described flavorings, but was mostly grey goo territory. I am not a picky eater, but I didnt finish any of the doughnuts. Most I only had a few bites before deciding it wasnt worth the calories.For the price and the flavors, I am not going back any time soon. One star for the doughnuts I experienced, One star for the creativity and unique product ideas, One star for being a local/small business that deserves more opportunity than the big guys.
