I love this little spot, great selection, nice and clean and well organized. There is even a little bulk section. Ill make it a regular stop.

Even though this store is not huge they have an excellent selection of all types of cheeses pita breads mixed olives and just about anything else you can think of for a variety of Arabic cuisines. The bread is always fresh and reasonably priced. I really appreciate being able to pick up Lebanese beer that I cant seem to find anywhere else in Portland. Street parking can sometimes be scarce but if you go during a slower time of the day you can get lucky and snag a spot right in front of the store. I love the selection of olives. theres a little something for everybody in this store and its well worth the visit.

I love it here! Come early, the parking is limited during the rush hours. They are so nice and have spices in the back and dairy and olive oil at the front. I always come here when I run out of my staples of pita and dates.

This is a lovely little Middle Eastern grocery that has many things critical to Middle Eastern recipes.If youre from or have at some point lived in the Middle East, and are missing your comfort foods, you can get them here. Its also great if you want unusual groceries such as sheeps milk cheese.I love all dairy products, but they dont love me. If I eat too many cows milk based dairy products, I start getting earaches and sinus problems.If I eat sheeps milk dairy products that doesnt happen, so I get a cheese from SE Europe and the Middle East here, called Kashkaval. Its a hard cheese that slices like and begins by tasting a lot like Cheddar, and then somewhere in the middle twists and starts tasting like Swiss. Unusual and tasty!The owner is a nice, older lady who often runs the cash register during the day. Olive oil, low cost spices including zaatar and sumac as well as others are also available here. Go try it!

Ummm- hard to put into words how excited I am about this grocery- its a mix of staples (bulgar and lentils, a small bulk section) and fancy chocolate/honey/middle eastern cheese and olive oil. they let you sample some of the olive oil!I found hard to find spices (preserved limes and fenugreek leaves) here for a lamb stew. This place is awesome

My brother purchased the ingredients for one of his favorite breakfast foods. He purchased a six pack of Tazhar (sp?) Fava beans with garbanzos. Im sure hell have (Foul) in the morning.

So many incredible items you can’t get anywhere else in town - an incredible variety of products for a good range of price points. I come here for bulk spices, snack foods, dry goods (pasta, wine, DOLMAS), beverages, cheeses, and frozen items. A great place to be adventurous and a great place to stock up on staples! Love the olive oil samples, too, and the employees are always kind and helpful.

Great spot for some unique ingredients and middle eastern foods (as well as some British, Mexican, Peruvian, Indian, items too). Bulk spices, olive oil, and some specialty grains available. Interesting wine and beverage selection. Intriguing sweets and sauces. Experiment!

There’s no vegetables but that’s not why the 1 star. We bought bread (Lebanese) white and brown. The white bread was moldy, inedible… never again

I went in today looking for some brie cheese and fig preserves. I found the management to be very helpful and informative. They made additional cheese recommendations that I am really looking forward to. Additionally, there was a very good selection of olive oils. I will be coming back to try more of their goods.

This is our go-to for Middle Eastern spices, breads, cheeses, canned goods and good advice. They even have some of the less well-known ingredients for truly authentic dishes.

I wish I could shop here for all our food. So many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean specialties... as well as a great wine selection. And talk about olive oil. You cant find imported olive oils like this in most stores. My absolute favorite food store.

I feel very fortunate to live in a place where I have access to a store like this! Im able to cook all kinds of dishes that I grew up eating in Baghdad and other Middle Eastern recipes using ingredients that I cant find anywhere but La Bouffe! They also have non-middle eastern gourmet ingredients and local coffee and jams. Everything Ive bought from this store has been delicious :)

Some of the other items they carry include cheese, stuffed grape leaves, tea, cookies, salami, bulk spices, legumes, nuts, and chocolate. The owners/staff are super friendly and helpful. Cute little grocery store in the middle of Montevilla. Many items like Feta, hummus and other international delights and a friendly staff. They had great flavored Kombucha too.

I love to eat at Ya Hala and I make some Middle Eastern food at home. They have an amazing selection of not just MidEastern food, but European too, and bulk grains and beans and spices. Great place, very nice owner.

Wow, what a great little market! Diverse grocery selection, and the service was outstanding! The nice gentleman behind the counter helped me with ingredient selection, and taught me alternative ways to prepare my favorite dishes.

You can get olive oil in bulk that is fresh from a mill in Oregon.They also have bulk spices and I found berbere there.

Its 15 miles from me but I loved this store when I lived around the corner and I love it now. Excellent little market with an amazing selection of fine chocolate bars. The service has always been great, theyve even shared some zaatar bread on occasion.

I always find what I need to stock my pantry for Lebanese cooking. I love that they offer a frozen bread selection because refreezing arabic bread always dries it out, but I can never eat it fast enough! plus their rahat are always soft and the olive oil is *chefs kiss*
