Great selection but quite high prices. A small box of spring mix tonight was $3.99. Most grocery stores carry the large version (double size), for $5. Appreciate the convenience and the staff though that are always willing to go above and beyond. You definitely get the extra service for the extra cost and their meat counter is amazing!
Top notch super market. Best quality of everything. Staff is pretty professional. Very clean!!!!!
Although New Seasons is a bit pricier than other grocery stores, the quality of their produce, meat, and fish make it worth the extra money. This is one of the larger inner-city branches, and has an excellent beer and wine selection. Their bath/body/medicine section is smaller than at other branches, but they carry the necessities. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, and checkout lines tend to move quickly. You wont find a large dining area or a wine/beer tasting bar at this location like you will at some other New Seasons locations, but its a great option for groceries in the Concordia neighborhood.
I went in to buy a steak like Ive done off and on for years. The gentleman at the counter was exceptional. It was about that he new his steaks, because I know steaks. It was his presence, kindness, thoughtful communication. In this time of confrontation, isolation, and negative attitudes. He was absolutely amazing. Genuinely and a pleasure to have an interaction with.Thank you.
Its a wonderful place to shop for groceries plus other essentials. The staff are super friendly and every time Im there, several of them politely approach me and ask if they may pet my dog. they likely cant help themselves. Shes simply that cute. She seems to exudes this very strong, almost irritable vibe that says, please please PLEASE come play with me. I take no credit for her being this way. Im merely a huge benefactor because of her.And the store has an excellent selection of goods that tend towards the more healthy, Earth friendly, local and natural ingredients-based brands. They arent cheap by any means, but if it is at all possible to fit them into your budget on occasion (thats my model), I cant recommend them highly enough.
Busy location. Was disappointed to be solicited by multiple organizations outside the store to sign and donate... wouldnt mind as much if they werent actively calling you over to their stands and chasing you with clip boards.
I love this store! but it is on the 33rd that this store has a terrible customer service! I took off my mask for a minute to drink coffee(I bought it there) and then a store worker run up and asked to put on a mask! I said Ill finish my coffee and put it on, he chased me all over the store until I got out! followed me on my heels,”mam put on a mask!”I wont go to this store anymore, Id rather drive a couple of streets longer. Im disappointed
Some very tasty brands and some ultraquality pet foods that will make both you and your pets look and feel better. Prices may be a little steep, but why substitute for quality?
When the pandemic hit, we were very reluctant to go out and do grocery shopping. The big grocery chains in our area, did not have any social distancing or other measures in place to protect the public while shopping. New Seasons was the only store in our area that did, and we felt safe because of it. Things are a little more relaxed now. Because of what we experienced, this is the only grocery store that we shop at now. Freddies can take a hike.
I love visiting this store, the staff are always friendly and helpful when I cant find stuff, and you can tell this is a company that truly cares about its employees and customers. Only downside is how expensive it is, but I think it makes sense for how high quality their merchandise is.
Martha has great customer service skills and is always friendly!
Good selection, friendly folks, high prices. But for a quick trip its good.
Pretty good. Clean, friendly, and had most items I was looking for. I was hoping to find vegetarian bologna but wasnt able to locate any there.
It was just too crowded and expensive for me. They had some nice plants (was eyeballing that monstera for $30) and the produce was very pretty (though also too rich for my blood). Much too out of my way to wanna go back, but you do you 🤷♀️
This review is for the elephants delicatessen bacon egg & cheese breakfast sandwiches-covered in siracha mayo-no spicy labelPlease make your own breakfast sandwiches. They used to be good.Elephants deli-put down the pipe
Got to stop to take a wonderful loaf of bread home. Great products and delicious.
Its a great neighborhood market with a deli for hot meals also. The prices are quite high compared to other grocery stores in the area
High end grocery. Like the feel of this location.
Its nice to go here & make friends with the people who work here & this is the one my other half works at
A great place to pick up provisions for picnic lunches to enjoy during our adventures in the area!
As always...wonderful experience shopping here. Thanks for having everything on my list 😁
Clean and well run, New Seasons is a great place to shop. The staff is very helpful.
Deli food has really gone downhill over the years. Used to be great. Now is frequently over-salted, few vegan or vegetarian options, and made with unhealthy (cheap) bases like pasta. Just hoping for some tasty, healthy variety. Surprise me with a good change, New Seasons!
Great selections! Love that I could find items that werent available in other places throughout the city.
Always a great selection. Very fresh.
Only used the bathroom. The mens room had tampons in it. I thought that was pretty cool. Very inclusive.
Portland grocery staple. High quality with an appropriate price tag.
Great history and great food!
Food store which supports locally made products. They even carry my favorite and locally made raw fermented Stinging Kombucha Hot sauce! Thank you, New Season!!!!!
Great store! Fantastic selection, well laid out store, and fast friendly check out!!
Busy. Nice restroom. Wish I could afford the fresh meat case. Only place in town that has hanger steak in fresh case. Delightful nicely seared and served with chimichurri sauce. Nice amount of parking.
New seasons has a lot of fun and high quality food. It has a lot of frufru (is that how you spell that??) stuff like left handed gluten free food, but also has a good selection of real food. Good meat and fish selection and nice produce. Prices and quality are between safeway and a farmers market. Expect to pay about 20% more.
Its New Seasons. They got groceries and things.
People here are very nice, which surprisingly Ive found to not always be the case at new seasons, despite their generally positive rep.
I love this store.Tuesday they give a veterans discount.
Great place for wonderful fresh local organic fruits & veggies! If you have noticed there are so many more types of apples well New Seasons Market has quite an array of apples! If you like apples like I do you must try all of the new apples theyre all so tasty :-)
Friendly helpful employees.
Great selection, very clean store, the best meat and produce section :)
My favorite place to shop, even if it is too pricey for all my grocery needs.
Everything you never knew you needed. Love it.
I have to share this little story of exceptional customer service and humanity. It’s the evening of the attempted coup at the White House. I had been glued to the news most of the day, so shaken by everything- the whole year and then the events of today. Anyway- I was picking up a bottle of wine to go along with the meal I had prepared for dear friends who recently suffered an unimaginable loss. I realized I had left the flowers I bought for them back at home, and so grabbed a bouquet from New Seasons along with the wine. The cashier asked me how I was doing and I started off with a stock answer- but then stopped and said “well, not that great really.” He rang me up, gave me my total, and said...”the flowers are on me of course...” Humanity. Stronger together.
Only went in for meat LOTS of meat and the guy that helped me had no problem wrapping it all up he was awesome
Incredibly helpful people. Perfect selection of groceries for folks who like to eat healthy.
Wonderful food choices and a very clean store. Pricey tho.
Can be busy at times, but love the selection
Very clean market, with a wide variety of staples as well as unusual items, including organic and vegan choices. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Lots of convenient parking. Check it out!
Good products. Very very overpriced
I deliver here as a small vendor. My main takeaway is, aside from good prices and excellent product quality and choice, the employees as most New Seasons seem to like their jobs more and more consistently than any other market in the area. I mean the folks in the back, whose job description does not include smiling, are smiling more than average.
They are fine but not the best.
Great grocery selection, best produce around, super-friendly staff, and a real sense of community.
I LOVE the folks who work at this location. It also has the best selection of fresh meats, produce, dairy alts, canned goods.... I just love it here ❤
Very clean store healty food
Really great selection
Lines are long and shoppers are treated like they, “have the virus.” Even if you are the only one in line you are still made to wait outside before entering the store. Other Grocery stores including WF provide shoppers with a much warmer and inspiring shopping experience. I will definitely continue to do my shopping elsewhere.
While this is not the biggest new seasons market, i like it due to it having ample and easy to use parking as well as a sizeable local gifts section. it gets four stars because some parts of the store like the vitamins section and the cold serve deli walk around seem too cramped to be covid safe or even ada access whereas others seem spacious like produce and cheese area. it is hard to find select items here for example peanut butter is by the hot food but bulk nuts and baking stuff is by the produce and baking utensils are in three places. but if you come a couple times its fine so thats just for you people who google map searches new seasons - this one isnt one that you can just drop into and find your favorite local products in the same place as say the big one at cedar hills crossing or the one by cabelas which are similarly organized. this one is more like the one that closed up over near burlingame - small but reliable and convenient - and thats valuable too.
This place is the worst to get drunk at.
Love new seasons. They are always very helpful, patient, kind, and go the extra mile. The florist is great!
Love this place, seems like i always stop for something there when Im visiting this neighborhood. Friendly staff, good products Plus the blonde lady in flower department apparently has perfect bangs :)
All of these stores are THE BEST! They are ALWAYS clean, well stocked and super friendly. I love all of them.
It is sometimes hard to find someone to answer questions if you need questions answered; they have lots of hippy-dippy options; for example, candy: you cant just get like a Snickers bar ... theres some hippie organic version; most of the food is pretty overpriced and some of the customers are obnoxious.
Great food mostly local to the PNW and northern California. Really good produce and meats. Great helpful staff.
Extremely expensive and limited selection.
I like new seasons. It is a great place to shop.
Its a wonderful store in a small neighborhood where you can get great healthy food
They care more about profits than public or employee saftey. They no longer limit number of persons in the store and now it feels significantly more dangerous in this small cramped store than it does inside other larger grocers.
The food is a bit overpriced for my taste. But the top notch staff that pays attention to every detail more than makes up for it
Love this place! Always find something yummy to try, great fish and meat and awesome produce!
The deli is great here.
Very nice employees.. they are kind, ( imagine that Portland ) produce looks great. And the meat department, the product looks nice..
Always a great selection of healthy food, and the people who work here are uniformly helpful and kind.
Neat place to shop at if youre into organic foods.
I am romantic feeling for their rosemary focaccia, and I am not afraid to admit that.
New Seasons is just a great store with great service. The employees are always friendly and seem happy. The store policies really make you feel comfortable and at home. I really love this grocery store.
After coming here I will never go back to WinCo again
Great market! A bit more expensive than most markets. I always get my meats here! Veggies and fruits are always top quality and the bakery has yummy focaccia. Like they say friendliest store in town😊
Great selection
Love my neighborhood store. Seeing the staff is like seeing the friends I cant right now during Covid.
Love the selection and helpful staff.
Good deli, fun to shop.
A real fixture in the neighborhood. This place is one of the things that make Concordia, and by extension the other neighborhoods surrounding the eastern half of NE Alberta St., feel like its own little community within the city. After only coming here a few times you start to feel as if you recognize the faces behind the register and the counters. Every employee Ive ever talked to, and after shopping here for a few years I feel like Ive talked to most, has been respectful, helpful, and altogether just very nice. That conviviality is the difference between this being just a grocery store and it being a integral part of the neighborhood.A few unorganized experiences if mine that made me like this place:One time I forgot my wallet and my phones payment system wasnt working. The cashier (Liam, I think, whom Im not sure still works there) gave me a slip with the total and the transaction number so that I could take my groceries home and just call with my credit card information. He saved me both time and embarrassment, and above all just trusted that I was just a fellow human being trying to get groceries rather than treating me with skepticism and mistrust. The meat counter used to regularly make a delicious curry lamb sausage, which they still have from time to time, that made a spectacular lamb coconut curry. These days whenever I want to make the recipe again, I just call up in the morning and they make as many of the curry lamb sausage as I want even if they werent making any that day. The meat counter in general is something special. Very high quality meat, a generous selection, and the people are always happy to help.
If you have the money to spare, I guess its a good grocery store, just to high priced for my pocket book.
Its so friendly. Id go five on it though there is always something Im looking for that they dont have, yet did some time ago. And maybe just a touch on the higher price of things. I suppose maybe money can buy friendship.
Good customer service
I love the store but I was disappointed they only have seedless grapes... Im not in to hybrid food
Great produce. Close walking distance. Crossants and coffee early in the morning👍
I am so grateful to be able to go to the hot Deli or buy groceries to cook at home; the produce selection is fresh and there are lots of organic choices. I recommend you try a Wok bowl with noodles! Cafeteria style dining can help people be more friendly and it makes it easy to bring water and silverware to your place. Everything you need is available in the store for purchase for a wonderful meal.
Love this store the people are so helpful i really appreciate them
Pleasant store, high end brands, good variety in bakery
Always a very pleasant shopping experience. Prices can be high, cross shopping the exact same product usually it is more expensive here. But, if they pay the employees well and offer benefits Im willing to support to some extent. Meat quality is very good, not quite the same as specialty butcher shops but very good.
I would love this place if they weren’t routinely gouging prices. Every 6 months the prices creep up a dollar or so on a few items and it really sucks. They set up in a neighborhood where many people can’t shop such prices.I like the products, the curation is good and the staff are typically cool people. There just is a weird very be looming with the uncertainty of new ownership and increasingly less supportive leadership.
Seems expensive but its a good place
I love it and all the multi flavored and all the selection of products I can not find at other stores
Our neighborhood grocery store. Customer service is great, quality great. Can be spendy if youre not paying attention.
