I had an amazing experience at Livingscape. All the staff is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and kind (even to a novice plant owner like myself). I highly recommend coming here, such a sweet location.

This is a fantastic nursery. The staff is so friendly and helpful - they answered all of my questions and gave helpful suggestions as well. They also had a great selection of plants, both indoor and outdoor. Will definitely be back!

This long time neighborhood co-op has recently been lovingly re-envisioned by locals eager to offer space and community through their love of plants and people. Functional, not pretentious, no pressure sales- and doesn’t look like every other plant shop in Portland. The plant prices ROCK and they have most of what you need to remedy a lack of green thumb - extremely knowledgeable and pleasant owners running the shop, great advice, books, and supplies - delightful incenses, airy, open feel and bright artwork - Livingscape offers a welcome respite to the stimulating buzz all around this sweet little gem. I will be back...again and again!!

This a a wonderful nursery, indoor plant and kitchenware shop. My favorite place to shop. It is run by new owners and they kept the farm and garden supplies, nursery plants from the previous owner and added a pleasant vibe & spruced up the indoor shopping experience! They feature mid-century style pots and containers, gorgeous house plants and a lovely 2 stories of shopping fun! A relaxing and charming shopping venue, the neighborhood is lucky to have Tim and Shauna and their revamped nursery and garden/cooking store!

What a gem! I stopped in on a sunny Saturday morning with my pup and we were both warmly welcomed. Shawna was working and spent a lot of time answering my questions about the two types of 4 lavender plants they had. When neither were quite what I wanted, Shawna took down my contact info and within 24 hours followed up with a different type of lavender that they could special order for me that fit exactly what I was looking for! They placed an order and had the plants in the store in less than a week. Shawna and Tim really went above and beyond - their resourcefulness and creativity, without pressuring me, helped me buy exactly what I wanted! I am so happy!

If you’re looking for Portland Plant List plants & Oregon natives in general, Livingscape is a gem. Native plants are great in a waterwise garden and obviously support insect and bird life here in the Willamette Valley. It’s the way to go people! And there are some magnificent specimens. If you’re like me, you might find highly cultivated plants loud and really over the top at times. This is where native plants can do you right. Some of the plants I was really excited to find today: Labrador Tea, Pacific Dogwood Tree, Spreading Phlox, beautiful grasses, plus many more! Right now Is a great time to spot your evergreen natives to anchor your garden so it looks great through the winter. I highly recommend Livingscape for their selection of natives! You can also find some edible plants and general landscape plants, and even houseplants here. There’s really something for everyone. I will for sure be back!

We shopped here recently as we knew it traded hands in ownership. I was pleasantly surprised walking into the store as it felt like a home. Its nice that theres a couch in there and its also surrounded with house plants, so it feels like a home. They carry some kitchenware too, which reminds me of old Mirador store in SE which no longer exists. I bought a pot for my house plant that was actually NOT expensive. They kindly offered to drill a drainage hole, which is super helpful. Cant wait for baby chicks in the spring.

I support the native plant cause and I wanted to like this place...but the service was not good. Went in for a plant, they did not have it. The employee then plantsplained to me why I shouldnt want that plant without an understanding of my background, the research I have done about the plant, or the site I have planned for it. It felt patronizing. I left and went to Sauvie Island Natives where it was the complete opposite, excellent selection, friendly owners. Too bad Livingscape was a bust for me.My review is not about the plant availability its about how I was spoken to. Didnt feel great then, doesnt feel great now.

The man at the counter was extremely unhelpful, from the beginning of our interaction over the phone. I called the store and asked if I brought a plant in (of which I was not sure exactly what kind it was) if he could help me identify it, he responds was “well I don’t know what ever kind of plant in the world is!”. Then when I got to the store and asked about needing soil and some other items he didn’t attempt to help me once locate the items I asked about. Wanted to support a small local business instead of a big name store but instead walked out frustrated and not with a single item I needed. Will never return there again!

I am very fond of supporting small-business. That being said, I would have liked to see better identification of the native plants on display. And prices are often missing. Parking is extremely Limited, to say the least! I shop there regularly because it is close to my home. However, I have yet to have somebody smile and welcome me, even when I come to the checkout with multiple plants. I get the impression that they have something more important to do than run their business. Maybe it is just a money laundering system for them. 😉 Who knows?

About a month ago,I was visiting my daughter, who lives in Portland, and she took me to Livingscape as she wanted to buy a plant for her new windowless office. We had a great time looking at all their plants talking about what she might want. Then she talked to the proprietor, who was very knowledgeable, and offered up just what we needed. Ive learned from her roommates about another plant she would like, so it was and easy decision - Im calling Livingscape for a gift certificate, so she can get exactly what she wants- just imagining the fun she will having going to Livingscape get it, is an additional gift to me.

Nice staff person, but completely unhelpful. I came for soil and all I saw was a couple big bags on the front porch. When I asked are those the only large bags of soil you have?, the girl said yes. So we had to leave. When I was driving away I saw they had a ton of soil on the other side of a fence... wasnt about to turn around and give them my money after that. Wasted trip. Went out of my way to support local and just lost time in the trip.

The manager is kinda jerkish and they are often times panicked and act harried by the task at hand. There is a good selection of plants and they have nice staff but there is just something about this place that leaves me disappointed every thyme I go in there. So maybe they have what you want or need but often times they are out or dont carry that or you have to go talk to the Expert to get even basic information. So not bad but I like Marbotts better.
