Could not be more pleased with my experience with the Scooter swap shop. Long story short got this sweet buddy as a birthday gift and went to them to get a battery to try to get it started myself.Fast forward to when I couldn’t get it running and took it to them. They were always upfront and offered a couple options instead of just the expensive one. Finished the repair in the time promised, at the price quoted and it ran better then I thought it could.It has far exceeded my expectations of fun. I wish I would’ve gotten the repair sooner instead of wasting the time of trying to fix it myself. Because I could’ve been scooting all summer.

Social Media and production manager goes above and beyond to make sure you have had a good experience. I’ve never had a shipment lost or damaged. Top quality parts all the time.I personally am not a fan of the jokes when dealing with a telemarketers in YouTube videos though. I get that they are scammers but making jokes at other cultures expense is not cool.

These guys know there Stuff! Stop shopping on eBay Amazon for parts and have to buy it twice trying to save 5 bucks! They got me up and running correcting my CVT all through email and phone, parts came quick and they walk you through the install..if you think you know how to do it they know how to do it better, I tried buying parts from different websites and installing them myself {Fail} just call them order your scooter parts and be done and have the fastest tuned scooter on the streets…huge shout out to Paul and Brandon making my Zuma ready for our big ride out Woodward dream cruise!

Just bought a stage6 adjustable clutch from these guys and as per usual it shipped and got to my door fast. They are definitely the go to spot for parts and all the specialized tools your gonna need. There isnt any other business that offers the backend support and knowledge these guys provide,which alone speaks volumes to me. Im just the guy in Iowa that wants to make a scooter go fast and theres no shops around here that offer part that Im aware of. These guys live the scooter life and love what they do. It shows in the service they provide. I had them do a full hot-rod job on my Genuine Buddy. Brandon was amazing to work with and Paul did a rad job on the build. The cost was fair and sooo worth it. Now my buddy has nearly double the (dyno proven) hp and torque. It’s more fun than ever and I’m proud to say where I got the work done! Braaaap!

Its rare that I wish I had more than five stars to give a place, but Scooter Swap Shop has such great service that it makes all the other five stars out there seem inadequate.We brought in our 125 Genuine Buddy that we had shamefully neglected for a few years and couldnt get it to start. Not only did they get our little scooter up and running, but Justin was honest and straightforward about what it needed.On top of that, they got it all done faster than expected and now its running like a champ. That alone is worth five stars, but after taking it out for a test drive before calling us to pick it up, they realized that the front brake needed some work.We were flat out of cash so we told them to hold off and wed get around to it after we saved a bit more money. A day later, Justin called us to tell us that hed fixed the brake situation up in his spare time AT NO CHARGE.Seriously.Beyond getting my scooter back in top shape, theyve restored my faith in humanity. Cant recommend this place enough. I wish I could bring my cars, laptops, and broken bones here when they need fixing, too.

Sad to say that this place used to be awesome, but we had a pretty disappointing last visit. My partner took his scooter here to get fixed few years back and they did a great job. He got a new scooter this year after his was stolen. Took the scooter here to get all fixed up since it’s been sitting for over 10 years. They had the scooter for over three weeks and charged him $900. On our way home the scooter died and we had to tow it. the odometer didn’t work, and the speedometer didn’t work and after the tow it would not start. He was told that all of these things were fixed and charge for them. He heard about another scooter shop that has opened and decided to take it there. turns out the guys at the other shop had left this shop and started their own. They went through the receipt with my partner and pointed out all of the things that either weren’t fixed or didnt need to be done. another couple hundred dollars but now the scooter is running just fine. Unfortunately this scooter shop just took his money without actually fixing the scooter.disappointed but very happy that we found the other shop.It was my bf’s scooter and he paid for it. Feel free to email me and I’ll put you in touch.The fact that you sent him out on a bike that broke down on the way home is pretty dangerous and shook our trust. The odometer and speedometer were not working from the moment he started it at your shop. Not complaining about the amount of time it was there but if it wasn’t ready we could have kept waiting.When he called about being stranded ya’ll had no suggestion to help which was a bummer. Had to tow it home and towing back to the your place was not appealing.ALSO since our trust was shaken we did not feel comfortable bringing it back to you.Also it’s a possibility that the other scooter place lied about what it needed or didn’t. I couldn’t say that for sure. But if the scooter had been fixed right when it was sent home we would have never gone to your competitor.Also This is just our experience and I’m glad that others have had good experiences but we did not.

Best shop I’ve dealt with for parts on my scoot, one of the only places that carried a clutch assembly for the ruckus, and it turns out it’s a major upgrade from the stock clutch. I am super impressed by the quality of parts these guys provide, as well as the good service and follow up, I even hassled them sending a email asking when I can expect the part to arrive(the tracking Info hadn’t updated yet even though it was due to land at my location shortly) and they told me when to expect it( it arrived 2 days before they quoted me and I had thought their original time quote was awesome). The staff were extremely knowledgeable about what they do and were pretty quick to respond. Their YouTube channel is also really helpful for someone who’s starting out.There was a little bit of a supply issue that caused a delay on my order, but the really fast shipping on the order was fantastic!

I have been coming to the Scooter Swap Shop for 4 years to have my Honda Big Ruckus serviced and they do amazing work. You dont want to take any chances when you are on 2 wheels and the experts at the Swap Shop are professional and fair. I went in a week ago and they fixed my handlebar after and attempted theft free of charge. Dont go anywhere else to keep your ride running smooth all year long!

We have taken many scooters here between my brother, my sons and I. Have always had a great experience. This last time they damaged the body on the frame of my sons bike. When I brought it to their attention they came to a solution and took care of it in a timely fashion. I am still very impressed with the quality of work they do and their customer service. I will continue to take my scooters there.

I have spent countless days, Years to be exact, troubleshooting issues that these guys were able to identify and fix in a matter of hours. I have not encountered a scooter shop, Physical location or Online shop that have the level of expertise and knowledge that these guys do. If there is anything that you take from this review. Take it from me that you will, I Repeat, YOU WILL want to have a company that actually works hands on with these bikes because the smallest modifications tweaks and changes could either make it, or break it depending on if they know what they are doing. Just getting into scooters, but have a background in motorcycles. The people I have spoken to, on the phone, have been over the top helpful. Definitely not the type of people that’ll sell you something, just to make a buck. They really seem to want repeat business. I can tell that building scooters is going to be a new hobby/obsession for me. This will definitely be my go to shop.

I have only dealt with Carter, but my experience has been a positive one. Best store around! Their prices are almost always lower than the competitors and they have random sales on good stuff all the time. Shipping is fast, I live on the other side of the country and usually get it within 3 days. The owners are very knowledgeable and will try to help you with any of your issues, and have spread their knowledge among the scooter community. Way better than their Canadian competitor in my opinion!

So, I dropped a couple bolts off the exhaust on my commute home the other day. Stopped into Scooter Swap Shop and less than 5 minutes later I was back on the road, fully secured, even though Carter was the only one in the shop and there were two other guys ahead of me. I bought a non-working scooter from a friend a long time ago, tinkered with it, and never got it running. I dropped it off with the guys at SSS, and they had it running the next day. These guys are passionate about these bikes, and it shows in the quality of work they do. They kept me updated all along the remaining process of getting it back into good condition, and we ended up upgrading the motor so its more awesome now.All in all an excellent experience. I only wish they were closer to the airport since I love in Washington. But thats really not something to complain about. Id gladly drive there anytime I need something for the scoot.

This place is a joke the only thing I would buy from them is the lightened pulley for the spree. You take something in there for them to look at and u wait weeks for a reply and then the bill comes and it’s totally outrageous. Don’t let this place Jew you. You should not get charged $150 for a half hour job to crack a case.But I guess if your not mechanically inclined you have no choice :/

Portland has a lot of motor scooter owners and I’ve found that there aren’t as many local companies who specialize in working on motor scooters and providing specialty parts. Scooter Swap Shop provides excellent service and parts. Whether you want to properly maintain your scooter so it’s more dependable, or soup it up to go a few MPH faster, these guys are an excellent resource.

These guys get it - local shop who treat you fairly, both in terms of customer service and cost. Director competitors (Vespa Portland) charges an arm and a leg for the same services. Carter is passionate about scooters and it shows when you talk with him or come into the shop. I drive across town for these guys to work on my 2011 Vespa 300 GTV and will continue to do so. Thanks!

Above and beyond for customer service. Im new to these type of scooters i had reached out to the owner for help. Asked him to point me in the right direction for information, as i didnt want to bother so late in the day. He insisted on me asking him and answered all my questions. Helped me get just what i needed even though i was ready to jump in head first(and probably become overwhelmed) Will be back when im ready for more.
