These guys are incredibly friendly and competent. Stopped by with a tire issue late in the day and they fixed it on the spot at no charge. Absolutely my first choice when I’m in the area for anything car related.

I highly recommend Precision Auto! As a young woman I am the *most* skeptical of auto repair places, but I can say that the guys at Precision take time to listen to my car issues, explain whats wrong and how they will fix it, and are honest about when my car will be ready. It is such a relief to know when I am having a car problem I can take it to a place where I wont be taken advantage of. Thanks guys!

I found Precision Auto a few years ago and can honestly say I will never bring our familys cars anywhere else. They are extremely busy but you will not find a more honest, thorough and professional dealership. They are the auto Gods!

Depending on Precision for over 30 years of trusted service, I know Mike and his mechanics always provide me an honest assessment of any automotive issue. Calling from vacation about a warning light, or pulled over on the highway after cruise control shut off, triggering a warning, I trust Mike or his brother Brian to answer my panicky phone call and assess my situation. Over all the years, they have honestly evaluated issues and provided me the different repair cost options available, when possible, or told me I still could drive 5,000 more miles before needing repair. Expect to book a week out and pay for the expertise, but I trust our cars with no one else.

Finding a skilled & honest plumber or electrician is incredibly hard to find. Finding an auto mechanic with the same attributes is even harder. Mike & Brian are the real deal. Best shop in NH.

Excellent service. They repaired my bashed-in drivers side door for the price of the estimate given by the other partys insurance company and made it look brand new, exact color, everything. I also took my car there to check my brakes, and they said the brakes were fine, they did not try to sell me repairs. I think they are very trustworthy. Friendly and timely as well.

Installed 4” lift on my truck. They do good work and care about the quality. If you have an issue they will make it right without giving you attitude like most other mechanics. Also very respectful and nice. Ive been searching for honest good mechanics for a very long time and I believe I finally found them. I definitely recommend this place and so do other people I know that have gone there.

I honestly would not go anywhere else with all 3 of our volvos! (2-s60 & 1-s80) He was recommended by 1 personal friend and our trusted garage guy in Kittery which sometimes Volvos are temperamental and Bruce is like nope...go see Mike! LolHe has always had the safety of my kids in check! Love them all there! Especially Cindy but Shhhh...would not want the boys to get jealous! ( if they had 10+ stars Id give them that rating!)

This is the only place in Portsmouth I take my car. My first car with them was a 92 900T Saab and they took great care of it. Regretfully, after I moved to Newburyport for a couple years, I didnt have a good local shop and I couldnt maintain it and bought a VW. Stupidest mistake of my life.Anyhow, back in Portsmouth now and they take care of my turbo Jetta when necessary.Prices are little on the high side (thats what I hear people say when I tell them I take my car there), but the quality is golden and if they fix something for you, it is fixed. Ive never had to bring it back in for the same problem.Finally, although they are busy as hell, they are friendly and will let you know straight up if it will be a number of days before they can get to you.My only complaint is that their parking lot is so full, it is really hard to get your car safely out if you pick it up after hours.Hands down, best auto shop in town, especially if you have a European car.

I have Nothing but praise for the team at Precision. I have been going to them for a few years now and they have always been upfront, fair and quick. My latest vehicle is a 1987 VW Vanagon and finding quality VW mechanic that loves Vanagons is essential when you have one of these vehicles. Brian at Precision is a Vanagon lover and awesome mechanic. These guys can handle anything, but if you have a Vanagon and live anywhere near Portsmouth NH I would bring you bus here.
