These doctors take the time needed to address your concerns and questions, and give you the knowledge and the tools you need to do your part in taking care of your eyes. Excellent patient care!

I am very frustrated with the customer/patient service we have received recently. I called with questions regarding vision therapy exercises the doctor had prescribed and was told a technician would call on Wednesday. I called back on Friday because we still hadn’t received a call. It’s now Monday and still no response. Also a few weeks back I went to pick up prism goggles prescribed by doc for exercises that I had called in advance about. When I called from parking lot to explain what I was there for receptionist was in a hurry and didn’t want to listen. I explained anyway but the message was given to the technician that I was looking for glasses that of course they couldn’t find. Lots of time wasted because person answering the phone didn’t want to listen.

After a second appointment with Dr. Amy & Harbor Eyecare, I have to say that each member of the team I encountered were genuinely kind, attentive & helpful. I will continue to seek assistance from Harbor Eye. I felt heard by Dr. Amy as she uses her skills and knowledge to work on healing my vision.I highly recommend Harbor Eyecare & their staff.

I have been seeing Dr Sarah Hudson since she started with Harbor Eyecare. She and staff are always professional but friendly and welcoming. Dr Hudson is thorough and always seems to have all of the most recent information on whatever eye challenge I am facing. Great selection of eyewear. I described what I was looking for in fit & style and the woman who helped me quickly found several pairs that fit my needs.

Never had glasses before. I received a comprehensive exam. The doctor took the time to discuss everything with me, along with all of my options. The best experience was the fitting of for my eyeglasses. She focused on me. There was no rush. Lots of options, and I was really happy with the results. I found out after my son was going here too! Great place.

Ill admit, I waited a long time before writing this review and it saddens me to feel so negatively about my experience over the last year and a half. Harbor Eye Care used to be stellar at all relevant levels: Attention and dedication from the optometrists (still seems to be true, except for the sales end, which is mostly what this review is about); opticians who were patient and gave good advice -- Im a hard fit, adult in need of childs frames, specifics about peripheral vision aream, etc.; quality service from front desk staff. Over the years, though, the customer service has become abysmal and, for some reason, they wont stand behind their lenses. My problems started when I tried to order lenses retro-fitted into an existing pair of frames. When the longer-than-expected wait time stretched from two weeks to four with no attempt to get an explanation or a timeframe from the manufacturer, I asked the optician to cancel the order and i would pick out an inexpensive fair of frames, which he refused to do. The manager eventually offered me free frames AND lenses, which the optician handling my fitting refused to honor. In the end the manufacturer finished the original order, Harbor Eye Care refunded my prepayment and all seemed well. Six months later, the transitions sun protection coating began to deteriorate from inside the lens. I told them Id accept whatever deal they offered to replace it so long as they used a different manufacturer. What I got instead was an email stating they could offer free frames, but I had to accept that the manufacturer would take much longer and that there could be frequent breakage during the process DUE TO THE MATERIALS THEY HAVE TO USE. To me this is just code for: we decided to skimp on lens quality. I have had complex vision prescriptions most of my life, as most of my family has. None of us have experienced these issues with the newer materials often recommended to us.Now a year later there are small fractures along the top of the lens, again from the inside, and i am due for an eye exam any way but I am choosing a new provider because if you wont stand behind the LENSES, why be in this business at all?

Harbor Eyecare is the best eye center I have ever been to. They are helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and willing to accommodate any situation. I highly recommend them to anyone. For example, I have a few unopened boxes of contacts that are my old prescription, and they will exchange them for credit toward your next order. When I called, I had just ripped my last contact of my new script, and they gave me a pair to use while I waited for my order to come in. Wonderful people, wonderful service, wonderful establishment. 5+++ stars.

Optician Chelsea in the Lens/Frame Department was terrific. She was knowledgeable of the product lines and VERY upbeat, professional and customer-friendly. She observed my initial choices of frames and suggested a great new look. I bought them along with custom clip on sunglasses. I received four compliments within the first two days of wearing them. Absolutely the best Optometrist experience Ive ever had. Ive only been wearing glasses for a couple years and still feel awkward having my lack-of eyesight tested at the Drs. Despite this, as a new patient Harbor Eyecare Center was seriously great service and made me feel so comfortable. From the receptionist, nurse and Dr who patiently answered all my questions I felt really at ease. I felt genuinely cared for and the staff clearly enjoy working there. Im so glad I choose this Optometrist and would recommend them to anyone.

Ive seen all kinds of doctors over the years. Doctors that dont seem to care much for their jobs or patients, doctors that heard patients like cattle, etc. This is not one of those places.Harbor Eyecare have by far provided the best eye care Ive ever had. Theyre very thorough with the paper work you need to have completed (having an hmo plan without a referral or dealing with insurance is almost always the problem for any doctors office) and on making sure you get the right solution for your needs. For example, I went through testing 4 or 5 different contact lens types and brands. My doctor also took the time to explain literally everything I asked about and even showing me models or images on the computer. I never once left there feeling like I didnt know the process or what kind of care I was getting. I always felt like we were going to solve my issues together and try everything under the sun, while also learning about all the latest things.I guess I would summarize it this way: If you want doctors that are interested in their profession, stay up to-date, and care about the end result for their patients, this is the place to visit.

I cant thank Andrew &Harbor Eye Care enough for bringing my glasses back to life after I accidentally stepped on them ! I walked in on a LATE Friday afternoon worried I would be without my glasses for the weekend. Not the case!!! He even put new nose pads on & didnt even charge me!!! Thanks again Andrew &HEC!!

I will preface this by saying this review does not reflect the doctors in the office, as I didnt make it far enough to have even been seen by one. I called Harbor Eyecare a couple months ago and made an appointment since my eyes have been bothering me and I hadnt been to an eye doctor in a while. I gave them all of my insurance information, was told I was all set, so I thought nothing of it. Flash forward to the day before my appointment, when I receive a call that my eye insurance is not accepted. Why on earth would this office wait that long to tell me it is not accepted? Ive now already taken the time off of work in preparation and could have been scheduling other appointments during that time. The woman I spoke with actually told me they do not accept eye insurance, just general medical insurance. How does that make any sense for an eye doctor to not accept eye insurance? Whatever the case may be, they should have informed me right away. Now I am back to square one.

I cannot say enough good things about the customer service at Harbor Eyecare. I was in town for a wedding and was in a bind--my contacts were in my checked bag that the airline lost, and the glasses I had were super old and essentially worthless. I walked in about an hour and a half before they closed for the day, but instead of telling they random guy that just walked in without an appointment to get lost, they did everything they could to help me out. They went the extra mile to help me out, and I am incredibly grateful. If youre looking for an optometrist. you can do no better than this place. It is absolutely top notch.

Awesome care! I was traveling and on vacation in NH and developed an eye issue. I knew it was serious enough to require attention and reading the reviews decided to contact the Harbor Eyecare Center. The were able to quickly get me in to see Dr. Rinita. She was very professional, thorough and knowledgeable and quick to diagnose my issue and provide the care I needed. The staff at this centre are amazing! Very friendly and professional.Upon returning to Canada, my optometrist contacted me to see how I was doing and set up a follow up examination. She said the report she received by email from Dr. Rinita was amazing as it was very clear, detailed and timely. Thank you Dr. Rinita and the staff at the Harbor Eyecare Clinic for your kind and professional care!

Id like thank the staff at Harbor Eyecare for making the visit to the eye doctor a pleasant experience.The treatment I received from Harbor Eyecare Center was wonderful. Dr. Sarah Hudson was fantastic, the dr.s assistant was friendly and polite, and the front desk staff were welcoming. Everything about the exam process was explained, questions answered fully.I never felt rushed. And their prescription service -they are so savvy they dont call in prescriptions, it was done all done electronically.Harbor Eyecare is my choice for eyecare.

Absolutely ludicrous customer service by the office manager Debbie. Rude and condescending. Wouldnt schedule an apt for my 11 year old because she missed one apt 4 years ago in 2014. Obviously they do not care about the health of children. I would NEVER take a child here !!

Dr. Rinita Trahan is excellent for RGP contact lenses. I am an old, post lasik and difficult to fit with gas permeable lenses. With her great training, skill and high standards, she has given me 20/15 or better vision. Dr. Riniita is a delight to work with for best vision. All of the Harbor Eyecare staff are first class. I give them the best recommendation I can.John McCoy
