The store is great and is full of unique items. Better yet, the prices are all roughly half what you would expect anywhere else. Ill definitely be back.

I had a relatively positive experience at the store and found a great picnic basket on sale. The products are unique and at competitive prices depending on what youre looking for.

The owner was engaging and helpfulMost Beautiful goods for unexpected reasonable prices!! The other staff member was informative and knew where every hand made good in the shop came from. She was happy to explain to us the significance and origin of almost every item in the shop. It was our favorite shop in Portsmouth.

I actually loved this store, the ONE time it was open during normal business hours. Ive tried on a Sunday afternoon, a Saturday evening (right before Christmas when the rest of the town was bustling) and now I stand outside their door at 11:44 on a Tuesday morning... But the door is locked, there are no hours posted, and the store answering machine says open most weekdays. Whatever. Not sure how they pay rent if theyre rarely open for business. Kinda done coming here.

The store owner was abrasive and extremely rude to us while we were in his shop. We chose to leave without making a purchase (that we planned on making) because of this. I do not recommend shopping here.

A fun nautical themed store that sells apparel themed with the nh area code and high end housewares. When I went, they answered my questions and the store was extremely tidy. The reviewer below seems to be a little dramatic about the quality of service, its about the same as any other independent retail joint in portsmouth. Perhaps pricy, but the collection of items was well enough manicured that I didnt mind.

The owner is crazy. I wont get into the long story of the episode that had people coming up to me and asking if I was okay, after he assaulted me verbally in his store and followed me out to the street when I left. The reason? I handed him my AMEX and he threw it at me and snapped NO AMEX I said I have another card to use, but please dont be nasty to me. He grabbed the item I was purchasing and ran into a corner of the store with it...like a child who might say you cant have it. I left the store and he followed me out to the street. He was screaming in the store that I was was mad he didnt take AMEX (i had other cares and over $500 cash in my wallet, I could not have cared less which way I paid). Another customer, appalled by his crazy behavior, told him this was no way to treat a customer and he started screaming at her in the street as well. A few people came up to me and told me they left the store because they couldnt believe how he treated me. I should have called the police, but I didnt. This happened yesterday (4/9/16) and I plan to report him on Monday to the authorities. I was literally shaking when I left...he was in my face and I feared he was going to hurt me. This is not normal behavior from anyone, let alone a elderly man running a shop. When we later walked by the store (on the other side of the street), he came out and started yelling crazy stuff to my friends and me. NUTS. PLEASE DO NOT SHOP THERE. He is absolutely out of control.

Called to ask a question about buying something and was treated very rudely. Take your money elsewhere.
