This is a great family run store. They have a bit of everything here supplements, all natural and organic foods, cleaning products etc. Love their sandwiches made fresh they are excellent.

Great little hideaway location in Portsmouth RI, this market has a surprisingly large variety of healthful based foods and supplements. GREAT for quick stop on the way to the beach OR shopping for the week.Friendly, helpful staff and genuine willingness to help you find the product(s) youre looking for - which is sorely lacking in the bigger box health food stores today. The store is spacious, reasonably well laid out and Ive never experienced a congested shopping experience.If youre trekking to Newport, stop by for a freshly made sandwich, fresh fruit, your favorite health drink, or even pick up some aloe or natural sunscreen.This place is what health food stores and (local / family owned) markets were meant to be.

The staff here are so helpful and welcoming. Great selection. Prices are a little higher, but well worth it to support a small local business like this.

Terrific staff service and selection. One of very few stores left that actually meet the traditional pre-whoolfoods model of a healthfood store, I.e. before it was fashionable. Try their prepared food in the fridge by the registers I highly recommend their “One night in Bangkok” wrap and the breakfast bomb.

Decent place to go to. Right down the road a little expensive but par for the course.

Lovely shop, we always visit and easily accessible on East Main. Its big (by health food store standards), clean, and has a wonderful body care department. It has a great selection and easy parking. I do remember there being a shop cat a few years ago named Gandalf, I havent seen him in some time but hopefully hes still going strong being a good shop cat. I also discovered my favorite lip balm here, which is very hard to get anywhere except online.

What a delightful place to shop! Fantastic selection of natural foods, organic produce, nutritional supplements, and yummy treats! Prepared foods (soups, wraps, salads) are exquisite. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

Our household is totally gluten free out of necessity, a family member has celiac disease, due to this there are certain things I can only get at specialty stores. As we all know typically these smaller shops tend to have higher prices, not so with The Green Grocer. I -always- find what I need and if I have a request for something not in stock they happily order it for me AND the prices are excellent!Everyone in the store is very knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and it is always a pleasure to head in to pick up the things I need!

One of the main things that keeps me going back to the same place is the phenomenal service and this place has it. My family and I love it here. Everyone is sooo sweet and friendly and helpful. The prices are great, the selections are great, they have a great variety of vegan goods, gluten free, paleo, and organic foods. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for whole foods.

This is the perfect place to find the usual and the unusual, the ordinary and the extraordinary, some info and the knowledge about what and how to pick and prepare products and produce for the health and fun of it every day. For being a small store they have a good variety of organic foods, as well as many vegan and gluten free options. And they have kombucha on tap!
