Visited store 10/31 looking at the Mac lipsticks. I was trying on one with the tester applicators (throw aways). The employee yells MAM YOU CAN NOT USE THAT I said I am not using the actual lipstick on my face, as I have a applicator in my hand and would never do such a thing. She says OH JUST MAKING SURE and walked away. I went to another aisle, and she popped up again. Went to another and there she was peeking at me from the other aisle. A white lady comes in and she asked her if she needed a bag, but I just got followed around. One thing for sure you should treat every customer with the same decency. You never know who you are dealing with. I do know people in high places and will be speaking corporate. This is my second time being racially profiled at this location in Pottstown PA.

All the cashiers are extremely pushy, they dont even ask if you want an account they just say whats you phone number. I understand they get money for getting people to make accounts but no other business have such forceful employees. After I said I no they proceeded to ask if anyone I knew was interested, I was done. I ended up grabbing the primer base instead of the mascara so I had to go back and I was only gone for 5 minutes and I had printed receipt but the same cashier I just had said she needed my information with a rude tone. Ive been there multiple times and all the cashiers were pushy but this one time was the last straw.

Good morning beautiful people. My visits to Ulta have always been pleasant experiences, but todays visit was just amazing! I needed help with makeup for a special event and Lauren S. volunteered to help me .  She was so patient while taking me through the process, teaching me so much and answered all my questions. I have so much more knowledge now. She even went above and beyond to guarantee my success by sending me home with a diagram to follow. Super helpful staff, literally every product you could possibly be looking for. Can be A little pricey, wish they had more discounts and/or free gifts.

4 stars: Very helpful staff. The floor markings for the Covid spacing are not helpful in that only some are clear so trying to follow them is more a puzzle.Wouldnt have given 4 stars for this visit: I returned another time... and while helpful staff is nice, OVER HELPFUL staff is annoying! I came in knowing exactly what I wanted, aimed to go there and was immediately attacked by a person saying you look like you need help. Seriously? If I walk in and aim a specific direction what makes you think I want your help. When I go in and look lost, help me, but no...she even said, you look like youre looking for something specific can I get it for you... okay (if it will get rid of you sooner), I tell her, she didnt even take me to the item, she said oh them must have moved it... back to where I was going, get my item and get out. Do NOT attack customers because youre bored. Let them actually get IN the store and make your presence known so they can find you if they want help, but dont force yourself on them. Geez!

Mary was incredibly helpful and so nice! I explained my makeup routine and she helped me pick the prefect products based on my face/skin type. With honesty too, letting me know what I did and didn’t need product wise so I didn’t waste money. Would highly recommend her!! Thank you Mary! Store is clean and employees are always very friendly and welcoming.

I had the most amazing experience today with Ashley at the Brow Bar! She is fantastic and my eyebrows haven’t looked this good in forever. Besides for how awesome she made me look she is an overall kind and extremely helpful associate.Prior to Covid I went once to this location to get my eyebrows done and that person was also very good but no longer at this location. I’m not one for change but I can say I’m very happy!I highly, highly recommend to call and make an appointment with Ashley. You will NOT be disappointed.Actually everyone that helped me today, because of course I bought new makeup, was phenomenal. Mary and Lauren at the MAC counter suggested some awesome products as well and when I got home and tried them I could be happier.With Covid it does stink that you can’t try things in in the store but these girls are making it work and really helpful in getting the right thing for your color tone.

Ashley does a FANTASIC job at the Benefit Brow Bar at the Upland Square Ulta! She is very professional, personable and kind and has great attention to detail with the eyebrows. I get the tinting and waxing and it’s perfect! Go see her :)

Let me start off by saying I’ve struggled with painful, hormonal, cystic acne for a very long time and have tried every product under the sun. My last visit in, I expected to do the same thing I always do...walk around, read some labels and try yet another random product in hopes it would help. However this time I was met by a wonderful staff member upon entrance named Maria. She was wonderful with helping me choose what would be best to not only help my acne but also diminish the look of my scars. She asked me my skincare routine and gave me tips on what to do/what to stop doing. She then recommended two different products to try which I purchased both. A few weeks later, I couldn’t be happier. My acne is down and my scars are fading. She was very well spoken and you can tell she really knows her stuff. I’m so glad she took real time to help me and her recommendations are truly working for me. This is the only Ulta I will visit now. Thank you so much! 😊

I placed an order online and used a $10 off $40 purchase with a pickup order code. Also used $8 of my rewards and my initial confirmation email showed both the coupon discount and my rewards discount. Picked up my order and got home and noticed the final emailed receipt did not show the $10 off coupon. Called the store and they said I could come back in and return and repurchase but the whole reason I chose the curbside pickup is for convenience. Now I have to drive all the way back for THEIR mistake? They told me to call guest services but they were also no help because they said the coupon wasnt applied at checkout (it actually was originally and I have the email to prove it but the store didnt apply it.)

This is a beautiful new store.. I’m very pleased to have one closer to where I live. I was so disappointed however, that “Loving Tan” is not sold here!!Loving Tan was previously only available online from Australia. Recently, it’s become available in certain Ulta stores & in the website.It is the absolute BEST self tanner & would sell quite well in store!!

Three times that I have visited this location I have been followed around and asked questions incessantly by different salespeople. There were other customers in the store who were not receiving the same treatment; they were just left alone to do their shopping. I strongly believe I was profiled by the employees due to my age or race, or both. One of these times, I was prepared to drop a couple hundred dollars and decided to drive all the way to the Collegeville store to purchase my items as I did not want my money going to this location.Overall its a decent store, but nothing to write home about. The employees at the Collegeville location are much more pleasant.

Missy at the Benefit brow bar here is amazing at eyebrows! She actually had to pluck mine instead of wax since I use a prescription retinoid on my face. I was nervous that the tweezing was going to hurt, but she was so gentle with me! She shaped them perfectly with a nice arch and helped me pick out the right color of eyebrow gel to match my hair. Will definitely be going to her next time, thanks Missy :)

When I heard Ulta was opening near my hometown I was excited! Before I had to drive to Collegiville or King of Prussia to get good quality makeup. The staff is great! They always asked me if I need help. I love everything in that store! Ulta better stay there!

Brooke Zeigler, at the salon in Ulta, is a hair styling angel that was sent from the heavens above. She is unbelievably talented. Brooke managed to turn my ugly black hair into a beautiful blonde. I look five years younger and my hair is stunning. I cannot thank her enough for her services. Everyone should go to her! You will NOT be disappointed.

Had the absolute worst experience at this location. Was in there to get color matched for bareminerals. Walked around that section for 20 min trying to find colors that worked. Not one person offered there help. That all stood in the middle talking and doing there own makeup. Do not recommend this location at all.

They were helpful and patient for someone who doesnt use a alot of makeup. I needed some help finding shades and brands and they helped me find a few good products within my range. I do wish theyd shown me products with more free gift options. Thats apparently something to look for in ulta if you plan ahead or know what youre doing

Such a beautiful store and the selection is awesome! I didnt know there were so many lines of cosmetics. They have a salon also that does hair! Get your make done. The staff is extremely friendly.

Very busy this time of day but customer service was still on point! Manager helped pick my online order while I shopped for some stocking stuffers. She saved me two trips and rung me up quickly. I stan!

The Pottstown Ulta is fantastic! Everyone is super friendly and helpful.Abby, the brow specialist, is especially awesome -- she does my brows perfectly every time...I wont trust anyone else with my brows now!!The salon in Ulta is equally as awesome. Today was my first time, I saw Megan. My hair is awful. Its thin, and I dont have a lot of hair on my head. I have a really hard time finding someone who can work with it and give me something that makes me look my age without making me look bald. Megan gave me the best haircut of my life. And, at $40, this is way less expensive than most other salons in this area!!5 stars all around...I love it here!!

Everything beauty cosmetics etc under one roof. All my favs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sales are great as well as coupons when available. Only downside is you walk out with alot less cash !!!

All the girls there were very nice and they helped me find what I was looking for.

Crystal in clinique was extremely helpful and went out of her way to educate me about the products that I bought. She also called me when the powder that I needed came in.

Extremely unhelpful staff and they are biased to who they will help. If you look like a model they will help you, if you look like an average Joe, they will go out of their way to ignore you. If youre able to ask a question they will not take you seriously and roll their eyes.

This store is absolutely beautiful and stocked with every product you could ask for from an ULTA. However, like the previous reviewer, I did find the staff unhelpful. Upon arrival a week ago, four staff members were gossiping and trying make-up on themselves. The atmosphere was not very friendly. When I finally did receive help, I found the employee condescending and pushy. Needless to say, I went elsewhere to buy my flat-iron and palettes. I will only return if I know exactly what Im going to purchase.

Staff very unhelpful at this location. I’m a regular at quakertown and have no issue getting help when I need it. When I come to Pottstown location unfriendly employees and not one employee wants to help you.

My sister came here to get her eyebrows done. Shes had them waxed many times, without issue. This last time they ripped off her skin on BOTH EYES. Whats even better is they tried to blame her, asking if she has dry skin or is using a product that would cause this. After calling the manager they asked if we wanted to reschedule. Right...

Kelly did an excellent job on my hair...color was great as well as the cut.

Wonderful staff, they werent rude at all made me feel comfortable, went in with no makeup on to get a perfect match for foundation set and the lady doing my makeup did an excellent job matching me while giving me great pointers to get the finish I wanted from home...walked out spending $130 and feeling great, Ive been to other places where they make you feel less then because your not all guccied out but being a mother I dont always have time to take care of myself so all in all I am impressed and will continue to go to the pottstown location ulta where I feel an understanding and mutual respect for the people who work there I will add they are also HONEST!!!! If they dont like a product they arent afraid to tell you to stay away and why

Employees were super helpful and made Christmas shopping for my girlfriend a breeze.

Im thrilled that they opened an ulta here in upland square. It fits right in with the other stores and is more convineant than driving out to Phoneixville or KOP. Slection is great, the store is clean, and the staff always seems eager to answer question and provide product recommendations. Theres also a full salon in the back as well a benefit brow bar, which are two things that really make this ulta stand out from other cosmetic stores in the area.

Apparently the staff is more interested in grouping up by the salon and gossiping then actually assisting customers. Dont go in sweatpants and a hoodie or you might as well have the plague.

I like Ulta, but didnt have a good experience here. Employees are too sales-driven.I walked in and immediately told the first employee I found that I wanted to test different foundations because mine no longer suited me. She invites me to sit down in the chair but I see its all Lancome, even though I initially told her the specific brands I wanted to test. She ignored that and put a full face of Lancome on me, even though I never asked for Lancome. I said it was out of my price range, and her recommendation was to sign up for the super cool Ulta credit card. She never told me the price, I had to walk over to the display to see how much it even cost ($47). She kept smacking her gum right in front of my face the entire time which made it even more unpleasant.Additionally, she had no idea about the regular online promotions where if you buy X worth of stuff, you get a free ~25-piece bag of samples. These happen about once every two months. I told her I was going to make the purchase online for this reason, and she said well maybe if you ask them here theyll honor it... I am very surprised an Ulta employee didnt know about Ultas own promotions.I really think she was just bored and wanted to play makeover on me, because her friend kept coming over to watch and she said doesnt this look good? I would have had a better time just forcing myself out of the chair and asking someone else for real help.EDIT: This store responded to this review, but didnt even include an apology for the lackluster service. Not surprised, though.

Best ULTA in this whole area!!! Wow, ladies and gentlemen—I was blown away at their grand opening today. They have every major prestige brand in one location! Finally!! Lancôme, Estée Lauder, MAC, Flower Beauty, Morphe, Clinique, Urban Decay, Anastasia, and even drugstore brands like Catrice, Essence, Milani and more. EVERYTHING! I used to have to drive to several different Ulta locations to get what I need but not anymore. This is such a bright, friendly and well-organized store that I’m so lucky to have right down the street. I am a makeup and skin care fan so they had everything I needed right there. And a bonus, they even have Beauty Blenders right in stock. I’m over the moon happy with this new location.
