I have been ordering takeout. Ordering a meal and the meals include soup salad vegetable and garlic knots. I didn’t take soup and asked to replace the salad with a vegetable. Was told there is an up charge for that. What?! After questioning this they agreed to not do so. Unfortunately they managed to get up charge regardless. When picking and paying by debit card they add a fee to do so. So beware of hidden charges. This was never disclosed previously but if you want to charge for accepting credit cards why not become cash only!? Their prices are not that low and fees should be included in their order prices. My opinion. So watch you bill at end. Prices on menu are not that inexpensive for a diner experience.
As soon as you walk in you feel more than welcome. The service there was wonderful. Amazing staff overall, and the reason we’re all there is for the food. Which was remarkable. I felt like I was eating from heaven. One of the best Diners in town. I 100 percent recommended going there. I know I’ll be going there again.

I believe that a good deal of eating out is the service one receives. The service at King was poor at best. I would love to say it was because they were busy but there was only two other tables there that were occupied and they had two wait persons. The wait person took our order but did not really know about the senior menu. We order our food and both of us wanted salads. My wife got hers and when our food came out the wait person said oh I forgot your salad here it is. The whole time we were there we felt like we were being rushed. The only reason I did not give one star was that the food wasnt bad. My wife had shrimp and said it was good. I had country fried steak and it was OK not cracker barrel quality but acceptable. We will not be going back.
All I can see is wow talk about getting screwed on an order. Heres what a $30 pizza looks like. You can get the same type of pizza at Papa Johns or any of those pizza delivery chains. when youre paying $30 for a pizza it should be the highest quality ingredients and large enough to feed a small family. How could you honestly charge $30 for this and feel good about yourself.
Amazing customer service and DELICIOUS food - we ordered catering for a brunch gathering (last minute). Kings went above and beyond our exceptions, everyone loved the food it arrived to our party early and hot. Definitely recommend and will be using in the future!
Ordered food through grub hub. An hour after it was supposed to be delivered I called the restaurant to make sure it had left the restaurant to be delivered. I was very nice and just asking a simple question. What I got back from the person on the ohine was an extremely mean, rude, and disrespectful person. On their website they talk themselves up about being a family friendly place wanting to bring a great experience to customers. This place is NOT FRIENDLY AND IT WAS NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE dealing with them. He was yelling at my telling me I didn’t check my porch. He was of no help to a patient customer who hadn’t received their food and blamed me. An hour after the call my neighbor showed up with the food. The restaurant delivered to the wrong house. How is that my fault? Anyway, take your business to Sunshine Cafe or Limerick Diner. This place doesn’t deserve your patronage.

Old bay fries had way too much seasoning they were inedible. Strawberry juice had salt instead of sugar added to it so it was disgusting. Owner just shrugged it off. Also shudder to think about what else isn’t properly labeled and dated back there... eat at your own risk.
Owner is very rude.I ordered a taco salad.Got it home it had black olives, carrots and 3 chips.Called and took it back.The owner caught a attitude.Told him I wanted another salad made correctly.He said no I will give you your money back.I asked for him to make me another salad and he would not.So I went next door to thee brothers and got amazing service and a yummy salad.They have no clue how to treat people.
My mother in law insisted we go here because she heard great things. Idk who shes been talking to but they must not have any taste buds LOL. I wasnt impressed with anything we got. Food was lackluster. $9 for a garden salad & carrots were forgotten, and it just wasnt good. This place really should be pizza takeout only. Water tastes like a$$ & fried pickles were horrible, legit probably the worst fried pickles Ive ever had. I would try this diner again and get something completely different.I honestly think their menu is too extensive - theyre trying to do too many things at once. The diner should scale back and concentrate on something more specific. It will help improve the quality of the food as well as cut costs for the owner. I gave a 3 star because I will try once more before I write them off.
I placed an order through Grub Hub because I save on delivery charges (delivery is free). King Diner immediately cancelled the order and Grub Hub stated that the restaurant was closed as when they attempted to reorder, they could not so they refunded my money. King Diner then calls and says, whoops, someone cancelled the order by mistake so they are preparing the order and the driver will be on his way to deliver. This was all so that King Diner can get the delivery charge. I hate it when a business lies to its customers about what happened.
I ordered Alfredo with broccoli and the broccoli was unwashed and tasted like pestasides.

I placed a order through Grubhub. The owner of the restaurant is having issues with Grubhub. So he called me and said if I want my order I have to pay him directly all rude and disrespectful. So; I paid the restaurant directly. My food is usually good. But I paid $38 and my food had no flavor the broccoli was mushy and the seafood was not fresh. I will never order from that place again

Good service, good pricing and great food! Finally, Pottstown east end has a top quality sit down diner. My objective is to try many things from their menu. However I cant curb my addiction of their Grilled Chicken Italiano sandwich with roasted red peppers, spinach and mozzarella cheese-with a side of French fries. Our server Christine was phenomenal! Always a positive dining experience.
We order from here as often as we can. The restaurant is very clean and lovely for dining in, but their excellent service shines even for takeout and delivery. Its a charming family-owned business, prices are very reasonable and the food is so delicious and served in generous portions. We always get the White Deluxe pizza, its amazing. My family also loves the appetizers - we like to get several different kinds when we call, as the orders are big enough to share and they have something for everyone. Ive just called a short while ago and we are eagerly awaiting our delivery. Thanks for being there, King Diner, we love you!

Absolutely disgusting food. Very disappointed!!! Hot ham open faced sandwiches with cappicola spicy lunch meat ham? What the heck. Who does that? Poor quality all around. Originally ordered through grubhub and got a call from the restaurant saying I had to pay them directly and cancel through grubhub. I think they are doing this because they dont want to pay grubhub their cut. Get off of grubhub if you cant afford to pay their fee. This place shouldnt even be open their food is so awful.

Ordered what I had ordered from them many times through Grubhub, after over an hour the order never arrived to my house so I called the restaurant. Owner accused me of attempting to swindle his business although I only called to see if the driver had picked up my order. After I received a refund from Grubhub he called me after the restaurant had closed and told me that I “am no better than anyone else” and “to make sure and not order from here again.” Love the attitude! Way to lose a customer!

Dishonest people! I ordered but they did not deliver my order. They just make a drama that the wrong address people got my ordered signed and eat my order. Do not order food in this restaurant do not waste your money. Pay attention to the negative reviews and you will not regret.
We are new to town and gave this a try. Its not your traditional diner menu. It doesnt have the typical diner look either. But, for a restaurant, its a nice spot with good food. Well be back...

WOAH!! Amazing service on a continuous basis, AMAZING food, the largest variety/number of food items/dishes offered in any dining establishment Ive ever seen, both in the US, and in Europe, great coffee, very professional, well-trained, responsible, caring wait staff, zero pressure regarding time spent eating/remaining in this restaurant...I cant say enough about The King Diner. I wish I lived next door to this place.
Ive had the lunch and dinner so I can say there is some quality there for sure!! I am new to the area did explain that at beginning of order and absolutely wasnt informed properly over the phone on breakfast pricing because there is about nowhere on Earth that charges $9 plus $2(roll) for a bacon egg and cheese on a long roll $11 sandwich on top of the $9 bacon egg and cheese on a bagel so yes $20 the two sandwiches, the sandwiches were okay but wow you would expect something to blow you away for that unjustified surprise price and only cuz its Christmas morning i left with the order!
The fries were absolutely amazing, and the staff was really nice. We sat outside, and the staff was mindful of keeping their distance and efficiently getting our food to us. Their cheesteak was mediocre but theyre grilled cheese was also really good

So I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a sprite. The food was cold. My burger was black on both sides and very very dry. The cup of sprite was not full at all. It was a little over half full. No i didnt get a lot of ice so Im kind of confused on why the soda was that way. Also the sprite looked like sprite but definitely didnt taste anything like sprite. I was very very very disappointed with the food. Wouldnt recommend unless there are changes and the food gets better

Spent almost 50 dollars worth of food. We ordered two types of wings. One order of hard fried mild wings along with one order of honey bbq wings all flats. We received an order of all flats mild and dry hard fried plain wings. We also ordered a California cheesesteak and it had next to no meat on it. It had a ton of lettuce though.

I placed an online order at 855, expected time was 936 at 950 I called to get an update on my order. The gentleman that answered said they were just now getting in because they came in late and they did not receive my full order. They made no effort to make it right and did not even try to get my order to me. I will never order from them again. For the first time ordering this was a horrible experience.If I could give no stars I would.

Was excited to try this place, being newer to the area. My wife ordered online on her way home from a overnight shift to surprise me with breakfast from here, however the online order system says they were open but they were actually closed! So they still tool our money being closed. We contacted the restaurant speaking to whom I understand to be the owner who eventually refunded our money in full but that was only after several calls and it was like pulling teeth. There was confusion on his end, says it showed we were only charged for bacon and that we refunded it bit reality was we were charged for our whole order. A few days go by and we were told the website waa ok to use, some tried again this time later in the morning when they were actually open and yet still more issues. Wnd of the day it showed in his end we werent charged for everything so he had my wife give him the card over the phone and charged us again! We told him our bank account showed we were charged already and he called my wife a liar(not those words but what he said made you at least feelnthats what he was saying) . The food arrived and was ok, better than some but nothing crazy good. We waited for our pending charges to actually go through to see if the one fell off corneas refunded like he said it was but reality s we were right and we were charged twice. I called and spoke with the owner who wouldnt give me his name and was very rude. He wanted proof that the charges went through, was very argumentative and not customer friendly. My wife texted him a screen shot of our bank account and then he finally realized he was wrong but still he was angry and blamed us for his issue. I get it times ate tough, but its not right to try and steal. He ended up sending my wife a text telling her to not order online and made her feel like it was her fault. I think he knows his website is broken and he either doesnt care or too cheap to fix it. As the owner he should be more customer friendly, not accusing paying customers of lying among other things. He says hes been in business for years but I honestly dont know how hes stayed open. Man Ive never had such a horrible experience and honestly wont ever go back! HIGKY RECOMMEND YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

Unfortunately out of all places to go after a game we decided to come here as a team. For one the prices are ridiculously high considering the quality of the food. I take two bites into my chicken and immediately Im biting into pink meat. Not only was the food undercooked but under seasoned If I were to bite into a sponge it would be the equivalent to the food we were fed today. Also the staff thought it was the best idea to handle money and food at the same time with no use of gloves. This place was very unprofessional and I would suggest coming here as a first choice.
