What a great service. After moving to Florida a few years ago the one thing that I missed was my beloved FlowerPower from Ithaca Brewery. The packaging was very unique. All 24 bottles made it in perfect condition. I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them. Now if they can get me some NY bagels…

They are the best. Have placed orders through them twice for cases of the drink I like in hard to find flavors. I did not know a service like this existed previously, its pretty cool. Everything went smoothly both times I ordered (I dont want to jinx myself because I plan on using them again). I called them the first time to ask them some questions and they are professional, helpful and friendly.

This beer store has the widest selection of northeast independent brews I have ever seen. They are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and have way more than just NY area beers. Fancy beers are always going to be expensive but this place also has affordable domestic standards in bulk packaging.

I have placed a couple orders through Half Time. The first was for the Hop Culture Juicy Brews Saturday Morning Beer Fest. The shipment arrived and all of my beer arrived in great shape. My second order was for 12 Firestone Walker beers and the shipment initially came incomplete. I contacted Half Time and they sent me out a complete shipment of what I was supposed to receive in the initial shipment. I will definitely order from Half Time again in the future. Some of the package deals that they have are a great value.

Ordered a 12 pack of 450 north brewing a month ago and still havent received it. Tracking number I was given shows that it has never been put into the system. Everyone I have called cant find the order and they wont give us a refund. I would avoid buying anything online from this company. They are a joke, I ordered from another company (craftbeerkings.com) and got my 450 north beers in less than 2 weeks no hassle tracking worked the entire time.

Would appreciate more of a heads-up about individual items not being shipped, but really happy with my first shipping experience from them. Took 10 days from first email sent that my items were shipped until beers reached my door - not bad. Cant wait for my Juicy Brews Saturday Morning package!

Great beer choices. Reasonably priced. Only suggestion may be to break it down by style of beer as opposed to brewery, domestic and world. Just makes it quicker to find a specific style if you arent looking for a particular brand. Either way I was like a kid in a candy store

Just place your order well in advance of your beer fridge being near empty!

As a Poughkeepsie local, while searching for a few unique beers I could bring to a family birthday gathering, I decided to look in Halftime. I had a particular IPA I was looking for and the intention to look through the impressive variety for a couple more impulse buys. After looking down a couple aisles, unsuccessful in finding the IPA, I was approached by an employee who asked if he could get me a mask. I explained to him that I have been advised, under no circumstances, am I to put a covering on my face but that he could help point me in the direction of what I was looking for. He hesitated, said ok follow me, and led me right to the last 6 pack of this IPA. Great success, I thought to myself and thanked him. Seconds later, as I was hoping to find a few more selections for the family dinner, I was approached by another associate who, once again, offered to get me a mask. While explaining to him that I had just had this conversation with the first gentleman, he told me they cannot sell me anything without it. I did not know how to respond but all I could picture is explaining this to my family later why I had promised unique refreshments and had nothing to show for it. After awkwardly standing there with one brightly colored box of 6 cans in my hand, he sharply asked if that was the only thing I was buying because he couldnt have me lingering in the store, like Im some sort of foul odor assaulting his nostrils. Humiliated and insulted, I replied yes and abandoned my hopes in finding a few more choices that wouldve caught my eye. He brought me up front and rang my one box of IPA up in an atmosphere that made me feel like I was just caught shoplifting or using a fake ID. His next suggestion that I never return to the store in person and only do curbside service was rude as well as defeating the purpose of wandering the aisles to find something unique, but thanks anyway. As I paid for the measly 6 cans, I thought about how to figure out which members of my family should get to try a unique beer, as I was not able to peruse the rest of the store and buy enough for everyone. Luckily, I have an awesome family and they were comforting and understanding but I couldnt help but feel lousy for breaking my promise. As I mulled this situation over in my head all day yesterday, I came to the realization of why they say, the customer is always right. Without customers, a business is nothing but a building with rotting inventory and a business must always look to welcome new customers as if they are loyal customers, not alienate and humiliate them. They should always remember, a customer with a good experience will tell maybe one or two other people. A customer with a bad experience will tell everyone...In a free economy, you vote with your dollars and I will not be bringing my money here anymore and I suggest people think long and hard about spending theirs as well. Businesses need customers while customers dont necessarily need the business in question. Think about that Halftime, while you judge and insult your clientele. ShameAnd by the way, dont try to hide behind the governor on this one. I have been conducting my daily business without a mask in this locality since the beginning of these mandates and I will continue to do so. Little Andy up there in Albany can sign all the pieces of paper he wants about it but that still doesnt change my medical situation so, I dont want to hear it.

**Edit: refund issued 4/1. Increased rating to 3-stars (from 1-star).**They have a good selection but do not order from them online. They sent me an incomplete order and have ignored several customer service requests. I have not received a refund for the missing items. Disappointing.

I am replacing my previous review which was less than favorable to Half Time with a much improved view of the company due to additional experience with them. My original order did not go well due to missing beers, lack of a refund, and a failure to respond to my initial emails to the company. HOWEVER, one of the ownership eventually reach out directly to me and explained they had some recent email issues (we all know how upgrades go sometimes!). He not only got me my refund but a few excellent beers in addition to make up for their missteps.The owner went to great lengths to identify where his company dropped the ball and didn’t point fingers but instead took responsibility and made an effort, beyond what was required to fix the problem. I’m aware that things happen and balls get dropped by all of us on occasion. I originally mistook Half Time for a company that didn’t care and that was my mistake. They took ownership of the problem and rectified it. When something goes wrong it says a lot about a company in how they handle that situation and it’s clear to me, that Half Time as a family owned company, stands behind their pledge of service and wants to do well by their customers. They’ve earned my future business despite having a less favorable initial experience and I hope others give them the benefit of the doubt and a second chance as well if things don’t go smoothly for some reason.

Best selection in the area by far. Staff is always super friendly and helpful particularly Jeff. They are all very knowledgeable.

Followup: After posting the review below with one star, I received three boxes of ciders in less than a week! Im grateful Jason, Tim and Half Time were able to remedy the situation, but I wish it hadnt taken three months.---Do not place online orders! After 10 weeks of repeatedly calling the company about the status of my Cider of the Month Club order, I finally got a refund (and still no cider). Each phone call, Jason and Tim were friendly, but there was always an excuse for why I hadnt received a shipping confirmation or any beverages: waiting for new ciders to arrive, problems with the third-party shipping company, etc. They would promise to ship a box immediately every time I called, but nothing. Finally, I got them to refund my credit card, but they promised to still send two of the three boxes I had ordered due to the nearly three-month inconvenience. Well, I got the refund a month ago, but clearly they had no intentions of still fulfilling any part of the order.

**Update: I was able to speak with Jason, one of the owners, shortly after posting this. Jason was apologetic, and worked hard to get me my other gift basket (which arrived approximately three weeks later). He was very communicative throughout the process. I am not sure if I would order from them again online to ship across country at this time. If I was in the area, I would give them another shot.**I want to start this review by saying I originally had very good interactions with this business. I ordered two gift baskets from this company for shipping to WA. They worked with me on making sure I would be able to get the gift baskets shipped to my state.However, only one gift was delivered. I contacted Halftime and they confirmed with the delivery company that only one of the gift baskets was delivered. They said they would get back to me and get it figured out. Six weeks later, they have not contacted me and not responded to follow up emails.The gift basket itself was neat, and the selection of ciders was really good. It is just disappointing that I am out almost $100 without any contact or follow up.

Id like to echo the comments from other customers about the online ordering hassle. I was billed immediately but couldnt get shipping confirmation for like two weeks. I contacted their online order email, which they referenced on their site and said reach out any time. No response. I finally got a tracking number after the delivery failed, because the shipping label didnt have my apartment number (I confirmed I included it in my order). Contacted CDL and they finally delivered. A beer that I had ordered was substituted with a duplicate. Would have been fine if this company would have been courteous enough to notify me, instead of surprising me (this was a Christmas gift that would have arrived on time, had my apartment number not been missing, so I got it much later). Btw I paid $25 in shipping. I emailed them again hoping I could get at least acknowledgment, but again, no response 3ish weeks later. I suggest finding another online retailer, such as Craft Beer Kings.

Both half time locations are the largest and brightest craft beer stores that I have ever seen. The selection is HUGE. You would have to try very hard to not find something that you would like.The staff are all very friendly and helpful. I have never been inside without someone asking if I needed help.They are a bit more expensive than other beer stores, but I think its worth it for what you get.

I hate to have to write this review because my husband loved the 1 out of 3 stouts and porters subscription I ordered on February 8th, however I have never received more poor customer service and lack of simple communication.Very hard to get in contact with these folks to discuss the orders that have already been paid for months. Pretty understanding person but starting to wonder if this whole thing is a scam because I haven’t gotten not one single shipping update once since I ordered this in February. Probably have to call and hope my bank will reimburse me the $100+ I paid for because I don’t have time to call these folks daily. I work in the hospitality industry too and I wish I could still have a job being as non communicative as this business.

Ordered a beer delivery for Nashville, TN from them for the Untappd Virtual Festival. The shipping company had my package for over a week at their local facility (literally in the same city as me) and were not delivering it. It went on for 8 days where it would say Out for Delivery every day and they never attempted to give me the package.Emailed Half Time and in less than a day I had someone personally call me to help fix the situation. They provided me with phone #s, who would be delivering the package, and told me to email back with any issues. Great company providing a good service.

BEWARE OF ORDERING SHIPMENTSI ordered a cider gift basket for my employee on 9/3/20. I received shipping confirmation on 9/9. They used a shipping company called CDL Last Mile. CDL online tracking shows they delivered the package on 9/14, but when I called them after the employee didnt actually receive anything, CDL confirmed they lost it during delivery and to contact Half Time who will make it right.So begins 2 months of phone calls with Tim at Half Time where he keeps promising to deliver the gift basket later this week or by next Tuesday, etc. They were going to deliver it via a personal rep rather than through CDL and they were going to include some higher-end ciders to make up for the delay.It sounded great, but now its over 2 months later, and my employee still hasnt received the gift basket.Most of the reviews on here are positive, so its possible I had a random bad experience with Half Time, but the fact that they have not rectified it over 2 months later has left a very bitter taste in my mouth.

Everyone, before purching anything at this place. please check the expiration date. i bought 2 HB keg which was exired. i showed the expired keg to manager 5 months ago. and the expired kegs still for sale on the shelf. I dont care about paying for overpriced product. but at least sell me something no expired.

I was in Saturday night and had a bunch of questions and Rich came from right around the corner. He answered all of my questions and gave me suggestions that were a hit. I drink beer but did not about all the different kinds there are out there. I appreciate that Rich took his time and made me the best 12 pk mix that was a hit. Im in love.... I dont know why Ive lived around here for a year and just discovered this place now! Amazing selection of beer (moreso than Beer World) from around the world, variety of growlers that they fill on-site with their fine and revolving selection of beers on tap. Deep selection of complete beer making supplies, and a very large cooler with great beer and cider selections. Prices are extremely reasonable. My new go to for weekend relaxation.

Ive driven by this place many times on the occasional trip to the mall but never gone in until today. I was very impressed, a little overwhelmed even. One dude asked if I needed help, I said I was pretty sure I could find something I liked. Then he told me I could grab an empty six pack and fill it with anything I wanted. I could just grab a bottle out of a six pack. I could tear open a boxed four pack and take a can. Just not the twelve packs he said. Ive done make your own six packs before, but not like this. Not like this. Now I was really overwhelmed. I grabbed an empty six pack and filled it within 30 seconds, just grabbing whatever looked interesting. Im drinking the results right now and was not disappointed. Next time the wife wants to trek down to the galleria mall to go clothes shopping, there wont be an argument from me.

A world/craft beer supermarket and its super amazing. Not only they carry pretty much everything thats possibly available in the east coast distribution market but they also have a great variety of beer available to can and go for a fresh tap taste. They have a great menu filled with exclusive brews to can in 32 ozs or fill multiple size growlers to go. They then take its game to the next level. They also carry in an entire isle everything you need to brew your own beer. Everything from yeast to tubes to gallon glass screw-top jugs-Great for fermenting. I will be returning again to pick up some more delicious gems.

Went here for years and never had a problem until last time I went in. I bought some beer, went home, drank it. It was not good. Turns out it was about 6 months past its sell by date. I took the remaining 3 in and asked for a refund. I was refused a refund and told that it was not expired and that it tasted exactly how it should taste. Really rude guy...I wont be back.

I was so excited to find a coveted beer wed been looking for - loaded up my shopping cart and was prepared to order. Total cost before and after tax was displayed during this process - not bad. When it actually came time to purchase, you then learn that it is $29.99 for shipping IN THE SAME STATE, even for as little as 4 bottles (4 pack=13.99$). Cancelled my order. My beer excitement was crushed.

Thank God for Rich! Years ago Mich Ultra made a Pomegranate Raspberry Beer, then discontinued it. I was so sad because I really loved it. I visited the store and just out of curiosity I asked Rich if he ever heard of it and if they had any idea of how I could find it. Without blinking an eye, he says “Shofferhofer”. He brings me right to it. They make a Pomegranate Beer and it is a wonderful substitute. He also answered some other questions I had about Ciders. Rich really knows his stuff. I will continue to drive across the bridge and pay a toll in order to give Half Time in Poughkeepsie my business because of him. There’s really something to say about customer service ... and he just says it all!

This place is any beer lovers dream come true... so much variety and they do awesome tastings all the time. Love their themed beer gift baskets too... ordered a couple for colleagues and it was definitely a favorite that stood out among the usual birthday office cakes.

Half-Time has a huge selection of beer and hard cider including local microbrews and microbrews from around the country. They also have a nice international selection and even have beers on tap to fill growlers. The staff are also fantastic, super friendly and helpful. You can also create your own 6-pack which is nice when you want to try new beers.

They are a touch pricy but the awesome helpful staff make it well worth it! If you aren’t too busy ask for some suggestions, I have been suggested some of my favorite beers there just by telling the employees what I do and don’t like.

I recently stopped in to purchase some beer for a party I was hosting. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to beer so I had asked for help. The first person to help me was Ryan. He was working the register but answered my question and pointed me to the right aisle. He also offered more help once he freed up. While wondering the aisles (huge selection) I was offered more help from Rich. He answered all my questions, told me about some of the different types of beers, and showed me where everting was. Ryan then came over listen to my requirements and also made some spot on recommendations. Between the two of them the party was a huge success. I am also now in charge of beer for our next gathering I will definitely return to Half Time and hopefully Ryan or RIich is working and can help me out again.

Far and above the best beer store in the milky way Galaxy. Although the newer mamaroneck location is larger, this is the original and is impressive in its scale and dedication to beer. Taps for growlers, a Belgian section that will knock your socks off (so bring an extra pair), and a dizzying array of local and u.s. crafts. Also beer making equipment, hard cider out the ying-yang, plenty of cold stuff in fridges. And cigars. If you havent done your research before, the staff is helpful.

These folks are very helpful on the phone. I have used the beer of the month clubs for gifts in the past, and the selections are excellent.... but I will say to HT: Please re-engineer the pay side of your web site. I waste a lot of time each time I try to buy from you. I end up having to just call and do things old school. I dont mind that, but I sure wish I didnt waste so much time on the web site. I think there are issues that you may not be aware of that result in failures to process orders in the checkout process.

I would love to walk into this store, have them seal me inside and cut off all exits and not allow me to leave until I drank and emptied every single container inside. See you in a couple years!
