Been a life long Dragons Den customer since 1999 at the old Poughkeepsie plaza location and it’s such an important piece of Hudson Valley history. My older siblings went to the original Westchester and Danbury locations with my dad in the 80s before I was born. The current owner Mike has done a great job keeping the legacy alive since 2018 when it looked like Dragons Den was lost forever. This is my go-to spot for Pokémon cards, retro video games, indie comics, and playing Dungeons & Dragons. Also had a great time working here as a comic book grader between 2019-2020. Mike’s been selling my indie comics since 2018 as well. So many fun memories over the years. 👽🤘🐉🦖🦕

Like so many others have said, the company has handled the flesh and blood situation incredibly poorly. After speaking to a very nice store manager, I gave them the benefit of the doubt for months. But they are obviously screening my number now, because they wont answer or let me speak to the owner. I have opened a dispute and will never make a purchase with them again. They had so many opportunities to correct the situation. Instead they tried to keep my money.

I’ve loved dragon’s den for years now but today really solidified it. I came in with a game I bought off eBay and the owner thought it looked sketchy. He compared it with another game for the same system (N64) and disassembled them to view the hardware and show me the differences between a licensed game and a forgery. Very personable and awesome place. Some may call it quaint.

*EDIT* I have changed my mind after not receiving an email confirmation regarding the next F&B release for Kingdoms. I have been lied too after talking to that nice dude(Probably the manager). I thought I was going to get an email like he said, but it’s been almost 2 months and never received an email back or anything. Ive recently tried calling and emailing them again about the order. No response. I have now filed a dispute with my credit card company to get the money that I’m owed back. I now agree with the other bad reviews that this place is very disorganized and very poor at making things right. I gave you guys the benefit of the doubt at first, but I don’t appreciate being lied too. I will not be ordering from this store again. Very disappointed.

Terrible establishment. Ever since Mike took over I has been nothing short of a disgusting and volatile place. The way he scams, steals and treats costumers is horrendous. I highly recommend no one ever come to this place.

Absolutely no help at all when I purchased an item and never received anything, no item, no shipping or tracking number, no date as to when theyre expecting the item IF theyre even going to be getting it. Basically just took my money and refuse to refund me for THEIR error. And one employee I spoke with was BEYOND rude. Never again

Wish I could give one star. Ordered an item, that was due to arrive first week of May. Emailed/called multiple times with no response. Finally someone picked up and said itll be coming soon in mid-may. Never heard from them again. Charged back with my card company, as did hundreds of others. They tried stealing money from so many consumers, dont know how they are still running. Have been reported to Square (card processing company), BBB, Paypal, and crystal commerce

I would’ve loved to give 0 stars but they are scammers. I ordered only 2 boxes of cards for them which were due for end of April. I received no updates or so from them and when they released some random statement they decided to send it only to a handful of people, not including me. I had to chase them via email and phone. No calls were ever picked up and I had to email them to be notified that there was a delay till may. Okay, cool, I waited. I emailed 8 or more times since then and received no response. I will be going through my bank and also going through the proper measures to make sure they are investigated for online fraud / scamming customers. Disgusting behavior, attitude, and customer service if you can even call it that.

Nice little game shop. when I first moved up here and checked out their old location, I felt like I got the cold shoulder the minute I walked in the door. this new location feels a lot more warm and inviting and the people who work there are actually knowledgeable and seem to care. Thats more than I can say about a lot of other shops. I try to go here as frequently as I can and hang out with my friends and play some card games.

Similar to the experience of others, I ordered product from this store, which I never received. If youre near the store, Im sure its fine buying from there in person. But, do NOT place orders online from this store. I was as patient as I could be given the circumstances. Its one thing to pay for something and wait months for the product to be released. Its another to go silent for over a month when you realized you over-sold the product, which you had accepted money for. Whats worse, even after asking for a refund over a month ago now, Ive yet to receive one. Ive had to file a dispute to PayPal and with my bank just to get my money back from these people. Stay away at all costs if you dont want your money stolen.

Ordered flesh and blood off then back in February. They never shipped. They won’t answer email or take phone calls on it. As a group we had to individually file a complaint with the BBB. DO NOT TRUST

This company is sadly involved with online scamming of customers! Myself as well as many others have preordered from them and they have completely ghosted many of us without sending any product. Do not order from them online at all costs unless you want to run the risk of being scammed.

Pre ordered a Flesh and Blood tcg booster box. Never received the product. I sent multiple emails, Facebook messages, and called the store. No answers to any of those. Opened a complaint with BBB, they still didnt answer. Forced me to dispute the claim with my bank and take the money back rather than just being decent people and returning the money they took without ever providing a product. Talking to others who pre ordered its obvious theyre trying to just wait people out and hope they forgot about their money. Scamming people they can.

Its a scam. The held open pre-orders for a month knowing they could never fulfill them. Instead, it was an interest-free loan for them. They no longer respond. Many have been forced to file disputes to have their money returned, including myself. Avoid at all costs.

I have emailed them about my FAB pre-order, messaged them on Facebook and have sent them a message. No response about anything. An update wouldve been nice but instead they just held my money up with out providing any products for months. Would not do business with them again.

Legitimately thieves. Took open ended pre-orders for product and have made no attempt to contact me (or many others) about a refund/replacement/or my order. They do not answer the phone or Facebook Messages. The state should have never allowed this garbage store to reopen.

Placed an order never had any contact info other then them telling me oh it will be shipped. It never shipped. I contacted multiple times and no response not even a cancellation of the order no contact at all. I spend over $400. You would think they would say something…. Terrible business.

The people who work and help out around this store are AMAZING super helpful and willing to educate you on any topic of nerd culture. I recently got into Magic the Gathering and the group of patrons and workers at Dragons Den got me set up and even took the time to explain to me each facet of the game. This is the place to go for all things nerd culture!! Love this place!!!

They set up preorders for certain tcg boxes earlier this year, when asked they said they would be able to fill them. Fast forward to May they cant fill the orders and they dont return the money back either. No emails, no response when you call, horrible customer service. Please dont trust these scam artists!Update- finally got my two boxes. So I had to update my review. Took a long time after many phone calls and emails but I got my items. Which Im happy about.

This place is terrible. Completely mismanaged the monarch situation. We put our money into your hands and it’s a binding contract. We can’t take it back but somehow it’s ok for you to hold onto it for 4 plus months with little to no communication. And then when the time comes to finally deliver you can’t deliver most of it and it takes you 3-4 weeks longer than the other stores to do so. Pretty bad that when I called the one time the person said oh the person handling the monarch situation doesn’t come in until 6. So apparently you decided to handle it with part timers when you should have worked literally around the clock to rectify the situation. Bottom line is you don’t deserve to be in business for as badly as you mismanaged this situation and lied so many times to the public. Examples of some lies. Oh we were just shorted by a little bit. I ordered 14 boxes and only got 2. That’s not a little bit it’s 85%. Oh we think we will have all the orders processed and shipped by end of week. I heard that line 3 weeks in a row. DONT EVER SHOP HERE!!!!

DO NOT buy anything from these scammers, just like everyone else I gave them 400 dollars for a order of cards, to which I have never received SIX MONTHS LATER! I called them day in and day out with no response. These people are filthy disgusting human beings.

Walked in with my nephew and was greeted right away. Everyone was really nice. My nephew loved it and said its a great place to nerd out.

I preordered from them several products months in advance and I never got them when they said it would arrive. They had to re-issue a refund which I have to call my bank to Make sure they do. I’m still waiting for them to process on their end. Apparently, this is not the first time this happened from other sources. It happened to not just me but dozens of people. I will never (and I really literally mean this) waste my time ever ordering from this store ever again. Plz share. this store is a red flag!

I preordered 2 Monarch First Edition boxes back in February from this store, and it was supposed to be a guaranteed preorder. Store refunded my money and said they would be cancelling my preorder so they could sell the boxes for the price that it went up to after release. They told me to just “go buy the boxes for $400 if you want them”. This store is untrustworthy, dishonest, and 100% only in it for taking your money. As many places as there are that are honest and good people, there is no reason to shop here, I would sooner buy from Amazon!

Been waiting a month for a response. ordered a product on feb. 6th it is now june 6th with no response on whether or not i will receive the product or a refund. call the store no answer.. call the store a few times and they will take phone off the hook. either scammers or very poor at conducting business

Great selection of collectible Pokémon cards, wide variety of pop culture collectible games. Very helpful staff and the coolest stuffed Yoda Buddha welcoming you as you enter the store while overseeing all the Jedi masters!

Horrible company. Horrible customer service. Avoid this business at all cost. Held money from me for 5 months and still have not issued a refund. There excuse is “we switched payment company’s, it’s taking longer then expected”. Will be reporting them to BBB and letting them know they scammed me for my money.

Store doesnt deserve any customers they get. Took mine and many other peoples money for 5 months, only to get 0 communication back once it came time to ship the products. Disputed the charges with my bank, they can talk to them to resolve the matter. I have no interest in trying to call the store, email, or Facebook message them anymore.

Good on street parking.Friendly staff, very knowledgeable.Have a variety of MTG products as well as Pokemon cardsOne room had three gaming tables and the other had an active d and d table going onMany unique unpainted miniatures.A variety of boardgames.Only downfall is that between games the smokers all hung out by the front door would have been nice to not cut through the smoke as I had my ten year old daughter with me.A highlight was the treatment of her interest in MTG they had her watch and explain what they were doing.Had a 5 magic packs for 15 dollars that we got.98% Covid friendly as a few masks were below the nose a bit.Overall a good experience and will be back again

Great store for gaming and hanging out. Ataff was very courteous and helpful. Used to come here as a kid and I am glad it is still around as an adult.

Looks like a cool store. Unfortunately they were not open at 11:30 Monday despite advertising being open at 11 am. So I am disappointed I cannot buy DnD dice. I will come back later perhaps this is an anomaly and not their standard practice.

Some of the nicest people Ive ever met! Big thanks to these guys for being so friendly and knowledgeable about games and systems. Big space with a lot to look at, anything from early games and systems to the latest things out there. Huge selections of comics and cards as well! The general manager is the nicest person, very friendly too. Just overall awesome atmosphere with stuff to do, events, games, etc. A must go if youre a gamer or a video game/card/comic collector.

A broken husk of it once was. Ever since the relocation the store has dipped in quality ten folds. Between the small space that barely has enough room to stand and browse and the lack of basic features that makes a store.Due to the small space, youd have to trip over chairs and tables just to get past everything. Even the back room where the cards are located, you cant go arms length without touching a long table overflowing with chairs.And the basic features. The store has been 3 weeks without a wifi access. A store that hosts countless events cant provide something as simple as that.Only 2 people work there as far as I know, with them barely running things. If you dont find them standing around playing Tetris, youll find them outside of the store smoking their lungs out.I guess its fine if you just want a quick in and out purchase, but even then everything seems way overpriced ($1.50 for a single dice!). But I would not recommend staying for events.

I always have a good time at Dragons Den, especially at the casual Magic: the Gathering events. Theres a wonderful selection of cards, games, comics and collectibles. Im really thankful to have this shop in the area!

Fair prices, but cashiers on Saturday tried charging $4 instead of $1 on comic books that they KNEW came from the $1 bin. They act new and inexperienced, didn’t even offer to put purchases in a bag,. You have to be attentive when cashiers are ringing you up, gotta watch out!!

Traveling around as much as I do its great to find a place to just site down and relax and have fun. This place is great because its just a great place to hang out and be able to talk to people who are interested in the same things and hey maybe youll get hooked on a new game or 2 while you are in the store XD But love just hanging out there and just playing games I encourage anyone to swing by and say hi and hang out, you wont regret it

They offer there volunteerie services to watch your child while you shop in the local plaza. Upon this assistance they allow your child to socialize threw video games and gameboards they provide.If you are thinking of having a theme wedding contact Dragons Den they do all sorts, Comic Con weddings, DC and Marvel themes...etc

Its changed a lot since I was younger but stuff like that going to happen I guess. None the less it a good place if you want to stay in tune to what us popular for the comic book and dungeon and dragon world.

I walked in today to pick up a pre-order. The store was not very active but the staff was more then happy to talk with me and help me. I picked up my pre-order, which came with all the pre-order extras that many other stores did not give because of profitability. Afterward i had a 30 minute conversation with a lovely person there. I would highly recommend this store. The owner and staff are wonderful.

I walked in and was excited to see they had recently restocked the retro games section,a section that’s been forgotten about for years. I went to purchase a game and the new was rude. I miss the old store, the old owner and old staff. The store is an absolute pig sty. I shop here since I was a kid. I won’t be returning again.

Great place to introduce your kids to comic books and just think back to when you were a kid and strolled through and picked up your very first comic book to start your collection.

I stopped by there, posted hours said 10 am yet it was closed. I never got to go in. We made a special trip there before heading back to Binghamton so it was kinda disappointing that they werent open as we couldnt wait around. Next time Ill call first before going out of my way.

This store is a shell of its former self. New owner bought the name but cannot operate at any nominal capacity.My first visit, I picked up a few back issues from a longbox, each comic priced with dragons den price tags. At the register the owner wouldnt sell me any comics, stating he had to reevaluate the grade and value of the comics. Dismissive and abrupt; no sale.My second visit, spoke with a friendly manager. A nice guy, but he admittedly knew nothing about comics. There were only a handful of titles on the shelf. I told him to order Amazing Spiderman and Immortal Hulk, because SM always sells and Immortal Hulk is hot right now. He offered me a job as a comic specialist to be a part of some podcast. I am by no means a specialist; just a frustrated, potential customer.Again I picked a few comics from a longbox. The manager told me that the entire box was dropped off there recently, as a donation. Good for them.At the register he retrieved the owner who, again, told me that he had to evaluate the comics before selling. These were no gems/key issues. I told him I would wait. He said it would take him a few days. I gave him my cell number.4 days later: no call.I called the store and reminded him that I was still interested in buying those comics. He said he didnt get around to it yet and that he would call me.Never got that call.Dont come here for comics. I guess its fine, so Ive been told, if you want to play card games though.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Employees are rude and belittling, and manager is discriminatory towards people with disabilities reguarless of function. After last mondays magic day I will Never return to this establishment. I will push for pokemon tournaments to be held elsewhere and I strongly advise boycotting this disgraceful place all together!

They have all the things I like

I have been going to Dragons Den since I was a very small child. Theyve moved a couple of times and theyve had some close calls with bearly going out of business a couple of times, but they always come back stronger than before.They have regular tournaments for several Trading Card Games (TCGs) and Smash Bros. They also teach newcomers (including children) how to play the various TCGs that they host.The prices are fair and they restock frequently. If they dont have what youre looking for, they have a wishlist feature where theyll email you when the item comes in stock and theyll hold it for you.

Was here for a Pokemon go tournament. Place was cool

Purchased a booster box and beat my friend in a Magic The Gathering draft.10/10 would announce publicly that I beat a friend again.
