Had an issue with algae and an over chlorinated pool took my water sample to Namco pools in Poughkeepsie, I spoke to a very lovely and personable girl named Crystal she read me my water sample results and explained to me exactly what was wrong with my pool, I followed her directions within a few days my pool is now crystal clear!! I was completely lost until I spoke to her. Thank you Crystal at Namco pools!

About two weeks ago our Jacuzzi died. We had no idea what was wrong just that it was not getting power. I called the store that we purchased the Jacuzzi from and waited for a callback for service. Then I called the corporate office and wanted to have them call me back to schedule service. It seemed as though nobody was calling me back. It was frustrating. Then I got a call from Trent. He was going to come and look at my hot tub. When he came over he changed a bad experience into a great experience. I learned that they are just doing the best that they can with being so short staffed. Trent was honest and really seem to care. You could tell that he really just wanted to get our Jacuzzi to work. He had to get a new part and come back again. If every worker could be as hard-working and trustworthy as Trent, the world would be a better place.
Stay far away from this place. They over promise and under deliver just to make a sale. I dealt with Anthony and was promised certain things with my order and when I went to call to find out about shipping I got a totally different story.The accessories I purchased to bring my pool to compliance with my town were totally different then what I was told I paid for. I did the purchase early to guarantee a pool and now I have to explain to my 8 year old why she has no pool this summer as there is a shortage. All they can do was blame the manager Anthony that is not with them anymore. I asked them to refund my money and they did and didn’t even care that they lost a sale! Thank you Namco!
Liars!We bought our pool in January, it was supposed to be delivered by the end of April-beginning of May. Then they pushed the delivery date to mid June. When we call them in June, they told us that the Pool was not in the warehouse and it pushed the delivery date to the end of July( we were the first on “the list” and the pool was almost ready for the delivery ) I called them again today and they told me that the pool will be in The warehouse by the end of September. Furthermore, when I asked to talk to the manager….. “ the manager is busy he will call you later”………. of course they didn’t call me back. Very poor customer service.What kind of joke is this? Also during my last phone calls they promised me to send an email with store credit and an extended warranty for the pool. I haven’t received anything. That is another lie from Namco pools. Very disappointed with this company.
Jacuzzi dead...called in under warranty no response in 4 days about service...meanwhile everyday that goes by the water in the tub degrades...buyer beware on buying a jacuzzi at all or from Namco....the brand itself has many issues and complaint against them for not responding to service requests. Please be aware the warranty isnt worth the paper its printed on if no one responds to your warranty service requests. The jacuzzi is a J300 thats totally dead for a week now...no response from Namco or Jacuzzi.Thanks for nothing Jacuzzi!!!UPDATE THEY FINALLY CAMEFOUND OUT ITS NOT JACUZZI ITS NAMCO WHO IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A TECH COME...NAMCO IS A NIGHTMARE...I WILL SAY THIS THE TECH (TRENT) WAS GREAT TRENT WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP US FIX OUR ISSUE....
This past weekend I went to the Namco Pools in Poughkeepsie and spoke to a customer service rep named Destiny who was wonderful and very helpful as I looked for a replacement pool for my existing 15 round above-ground pool. She took her time and answered all my questions. She gave me paperwork to take home to go over as I worked on making my final decision. I called back to ask her about next steps, but she was with a customer, but I was told she would call me back.That phrase someone will get back to you is usually a brush-off and no one calls back. 2 hours later Destiney called me back and I was shocked but that was a testimony to her professionalism. I told her I would come in after the holidays to go over the paperwork and purchase a pool.I went in after Memorial Day but she was not there. In any event I worked with another customer service rep named Crystal who was also great. Crystal was outstanding as well. In fact I arrived at the store at 6:15pm and after Crystal finished with another customer she still worked with me until I was satisfied and closed the store when I left at 7:30pm. A full 30 minutes after the store officially closed and never complained. Lastly, she did not even take credit for the commission or sale she gave it to Destiny who originally helped me.The service staff at this store are great. I strongly recommend the Namco Pools in Poughkeepsie be your first stop if you want to make a purchase of a pool, spa or any outdoor leisure equipment.

I would not purchase a pool from this place. I purchased the pool in March to be delivered in May 2021. I was told don’t worry it may even get here before May. Since then I’ve gotten 3 calls stating there will be delays. Next date given is the ending of June into the beginning of July. The person I spoke seemed as if she didn’t even care and hung up the phone on me. Oh wait there was something she said “if by the ending of July we don’t have the pool you can cancel then “ my reply was right because that makes perfect sense to try and order another pool from a different company mid summer when I could have ordered a pool from a different company from the start.It’s been over a week and I still haven’t received my refund. I called and spoke to a nasty person named Chris. I was in the process of telling him if you haven’t sent out the check I could go in and get my money In person. Before I could finish he cuts me off and tells me “ I don’t k is what you mean by that but I will not be threaten” I said excuse me! Are you kidding me? If you would have let me finished you would have heard the entire thing but instead you assumed I was making a threat! Why is that? Maybe has something to do with my last name, I don’t know but I wonder if he would have said the same thing to someone else.... I’m reporting this place to the BBB

We had a great experience at Namco, Poughkeepsie thanks to the manager Chris. During a pandemic, apparently everyone wants a hot tub and a pool! Despite, being so unbelievably busy, Chris went out of his way to make sure our experience was an absolutely positive one! Karen from Corporate delivery was also a huge help in making sure we got our hot tub delivery date as promised. Thanks for such a great buying experience!
Always have what I need
We ordered a pool during the pandemic (like everyone else, apparently). We had some issues due to miscommunication and availability of products with corporate offices. Ray and Chris, specifically, in the Poughkeepsie store went above and beyond to make everything in their power to make things right. Ray and Chris have been very polite, (extremely) patient, accommodating, and personable during the entire process, even offering to drive products/parts to our home when items promised were not available. We will be going back to Namco because of the great customer service for all our pool needs.
It saddens me to write negative reviews but am concerned for people who have purchased pools after May. We purchased in May with the promise of a 14-working day arrival. Well, that never happened.I received our pool two months later without the pump and filter. I had to borrow from a friend who had an extra one, thank goodness. Also the pool installers are backed up or cannot answer/return calls because of the high demands to install. We were very patient on waiting for the pool but its not fair to the customer when the pool arrives to be told the pump and filter are on backorder. The sales associate when spoken to said he too was upset that Namco would send the pool out with the order incomplete. We finally had the pool installed - which by the way is our second pool from Namco purchased 13 years ago, with no problems- these installers were overpriced and didnt even try to flush the pool with the deck, now I have to fix the deck because it just looks awkward. They didnt even clean up. Pool is up and running and still havent received the pump or filter. We are now at the end of July.

Excellent, Excellent service from store manager Chris. We ordered a propane heater about 3 weeks ago. We realized there might be a minor delay do to the complications inherent with the Covid-19 pandemic. Everything is so much harder and more difficult to accomplish during these times. As a result, the delay was more extensive then either of us anticipated. However, throughout the entire process, Chris keep us informed, was in constant contact with his distributor and went out of his way to make sure we were ultimately satisfied with our purchase. We bought our pool and filter system from Namco several years ago and they have always been there for us when needed. We would recommend Namco to any customer looking for over-the-top service when considering a pool purchase/accessories. Thanks to Chris and staff, this situation was handled professionally and courteously especially given these unprecedented times. Tom B.
This place has been one nightmare after the other right from the start of getting original pool that was ordered in first place to assembling now what I did finally end up getting and having wrong parts with still no resolution . Even a update to this one . Days after this review emails, phone calls for a resolution have gone unanswered
This is a review long over due! Bought our pool last year around August 2018. The sales rep Ray was outstanding! No pressure, full of information to sell what we needed not what he wanted for a sale! Gave us great prices for what we wanted. This year returned to ray for help with a new pool owner crisis. I got a hole in my winter cover. Between Ray and Chris store manager they walked me through what to get and how to my pool opened correctly and it is perfect! Will never go anywhere else but here! Great team there!!
Diane was the most amazing, helpful and professional sales person. She answered all our questions with a smile and helped us pick out the perfect pool. If everyone had the customer service skills that Diane has, this world would be a a happier place. I would definitely recommend NAMCO pools to anyone looking to have a pool installed.
We went today and bought some chemicals for our pool. Spoke to Ray, he was fantastic, really knew his stuff and explained so much to us. He was also very nice to our kids. Ray even offered us to try a hot tub. Great experience!
We purchased a hot tub from Chris over the summer. He has been great all around. With us being new to this he has gone above and beyond to make sure he answers all of our questions and is making things easy. I would recommend anyone to go to him.

This summer we bought a 30x15 oval Synergy pool. The price was great as was the service. We were missing a few things, we wanted it right away so we picked everything up, and when we called about the missing stuff they got it together right away. We dealt with Ray and he was great!! Thanks!!!
If you want great service, this is the place.I have purchased my cleaning supplies, and my chemicals from Namco for years. Anytime I have an issue the staff there is happy to help. If for some reason they do not know the answer, they will get it for you. For that when the time comes to replace my pool It will be from Namco!!Thank you Namco Poughkeepsie!!
Since I have moved to NY I have been shopping at Namco. I was completely new to owning a pool. Chris and Ray always had time and patience when answering my questions, sometimes the same questions over and again. Thank you for such wonderful service.
Chris (technician but also store manager) came down from NY to South Shore of MA to get my Jacuzzi working properly as we had an initial issue with the heater not working. It turned out to be a problem with the breaker as well which was not his issue but he still waited for my electrician to come back to fix that issue and then fixed the heater issue quickly. Professional and helpful. Highly recommend.

First time pool owner..went to the poughkeepsie ny store.had some questions and let me tell you.the employees at this store went above and beyond to help me with my needs.and let me you the saved me a huge headache with my concerns.showed me exactly what I needed and walked me thru the whole process..while inwas there I bought a new pump system and filter and chemicals I needed..will be going back to them for anything pool related.

We purchased a Jacuzzi from Namco a year ago. Recently, we were having problems with the jets. We called and spoke to the manager, Chris, who (on a Sunday!!) came out and got the tub working again. Awesome customer service!!

If you purchased anything from Namco in the past, do not expect any help because this is not the same company. I purchased a Johnny Weissmuller oval swimming pool over a decade ago and although I have warranties, they do not return calls and are unwilling to help you with your current product. If youre interested in buying all new, theyll be more than willing to help you. When I first bought my pool, I spent a pretty penny. My pump and filter were almost a grand by themselves. I even bought an artificial tree from them and we still use it. I will not spend another dime at Namco because the customer service is lacking. I was forced to look on Amazon for the parts I needed for my Jacuzzi filter.
Employee was nice, but dont waste your time here for a pool table. They only have 2 there and can only get those 2. The one MDF table they sell is 1299 and can be easily found online for 6-700. The slate table they had seemed to be a no name brand and was over 4k. You can easily get a nice brand name table for less and have it delivered and installed professionally
Ray is absolutely FANTASIC. Had allot of bumps in the road getting our pool set up. He was with us and helped us EVERY step of the way and went above and beyond to help us. Would definitely recomend going to see him at the Poughkeepsie store on Rt 9 for all your pool needs.
Being a new pool owner after purchasing our first home, I realized I didnt have a clue how to take care of it. Store manager Chris Conte showed me all the equipment and chemicals needed to properly service and clean a pool. He even came to my house, free of charge, and installed my new pool pump after my old one started to get noisy and didnt seem to be working as efficiently. I highly recommend NAMCO to all of my family and friends for their pool and hot tub needs!
Do not be fooled with the new look! I have never dealt with such incompetence in my life. Not only do they not know what they are doing they are way over priced for very cheap stuff. Make sure you shop around before buying anything from these lying crooks!
Wish I could choose zero stars for their zero customer loyalty, service, support. New location; lipstick on a pig. Three unhappy people making returns in my short visit.Will never use them again. Rainbow pools for me. You get what you pay for.
After researching many pool companies my husband and I went with Namco because of their product and prices. There was a hiccup with our order and someone dropped the ball. After one phone call, Ray at The Poughkeesie store, picked up the ball and ran with it. He was all about the customer service that he went out of his way to come in on his day off to make sure that we were taken care of and satisfied with our product. Mistakes happen everywhere, it’s what you do to correct them that matters. I am so pleased that Namco stood behind their promise that they make to their customers and made things right. Thank you so much Ray for going above and beyond.

Very overpriced for most things and cheap quality. Employees are not knowledgeable and when I was there tonight they were very rude and basically asked me to leave because they were closing in 5 minutes. The item I wanted would have been a very quick purchase. Then 2 employees who walked out with me because they were done for the day were swearing and using offensive language to each other knowing a customer was right in front of them.
Upon visiting the Namco showroom I was greeted by their so called store manager and was highly disappointed in the customer service. The staff did not seem knowledgeable on the products they sell, nor did they seem eager to find answers for the questions I had. I defiantly wont even consider giving this company any type of business, nor do I recommend you to either.
Can’t get anyone one the phone at multiple locations. Phones no longer even ring. Received an email saying the company is still open but i can’t seem to speak with anyone about an order that was missing pieces.

I always purchase small things such as salt and parts from the Wappingers Falls location. I was sad to see that Namco was replaced by Sketchers. I see a new location but couldn’t find it. I drove around With no luck. Does any one know were Namco’s new location is?

Customer service and the store don’t know how to communicate with each other. It’s been 8 weeks of customer service telling me my replacement chair is at the store. The store says they don’t have it. Nobody will talk to each other to resolve this as a company. They act like it’s absurd that I want a functional chair.

Prices depending on what you are looking for seem a bit high but than again they have a high rent I am sure. I find staff to be pleasant

This place is a joke. Been trying to call this place for for over 30 mins and noone answers the phone. Phone rolls over to corporate office, which is no help. They just transfer me back to the store. Phone rings for 2 mins, someone picks up and puts me on hold. Rings for another minute or so, someone clearly picks up then hangs up..
I dont typically write negative reviews...but I have to share an experience just to make other local residents aware of what junk this place sells.For 25 years my family had an above ground pool-oval shape. Lasted every snow storm etc. Was great and trouble free. It met its demise after a large tree fell on it after a particularly violent thunderstorm. After one season without a pool, my family decided we needed a replacement. A pool has always been a huge part of our summer fun. We called Namco, they sold us a pool that was the same size as the one we previously had, and assured us it was high quality, etc etc. It cost in the range of 8000.00 furnished/installed. We proceeded with the order. We were not thrilled with the installation crew, they left garbage around (including their lunches, water bottles and the like...thrown in my yard...nice.). They also seemed to dig a much larger hole around the perimeter of the pool than what was previously done. We asked about this and was told it is standard. It was 25+ years since our last pool install, so we had no idea. Our pool was ready to use in June 2014= great. The pool did seem like a much lesser quality than what we had previously, but what did we know.This pool lasted literally one season. And was collapsed entirely by March. Im sorry, but for $8000.00, this should NOT happen. We were devastated! Here we had a pool for 25 years and not once did a winter cause it any trouble at all- with MUCH worse winters than last year.We made a few calls, but not one call was returned by anyone of authority. One person simply stated, it was a tough winter. Really...for 8000.00 there should be some level of stability to the structure.Without much recourse, we called our insurance agent (state farm). They sent 3 different pool companies to our home (empire state pools from poughquag, a company in cold spring and another company from Westchester) who all had the same outcome= cheap pool, poor installation. One company was even kind enough to bring out a sample panel of their above ground pool wall versus what we had received and theirs was noticeably stronger and thicker. They even showed us what was wrong with the installation- after having that pointed out, it was obvious why the pool failed. They provided us with an estimate for a replacement and guess what? the cost was almost the same.I would also like to add that this pool was not free standing, It has a large deck along one long side and part of the radius. The other pool companies all said they have NEVER seen a pool collapse this quickly, especially when supported!Now our one year old pool sits in our backyard as a huge eye sore of a mess. I have to pay to have it removed and disposed of (yes, at my cost). I contacted our lawyer who stated that we could try to sue for the damages, but it would probably go no where as namco is stating it is weather related damage.Their product is complete garbage, only outdone by the contractors they hire to perform their installations (which Namco takes NO responsibility for either...they couldnt even tell me the name of the company who did our installation?????). As a 40+ year homeowner in Dutchess County, this was the single worst purchase I had ever made.I have made a point to tell anyone I know of, hear of...anyone at all NOT to use Namco.
Dear Namco,after receiving an insulting and tardy response from Namco headquarters regarding a clear quality defect Namco was made aware of with clear photos and explaination of symptoms last month, they need to be exposed for the not only their underhanded way of pushing garbage off to loyal customers but totally ignoring the problem. I was walking by my pool which was protected by a wraparound deck and I noticed the sound of water running as if a faucet. I looked under the deck and sure enough there was the rust hole shown in the picture I sent. Instead of taking the responsibility and manning up to the poor quality pool they eagerly sold me (which developed a rust hole in the side within 1 1/2 years of installation!!!) they chose to insult my intellegence by saying this was not a manufacturer defect, and had the audacity to say since they do not sell replacement parts, offered to sell me a new pool at a discounted price. How courteous!I want everyone I know of Namcos ZERO RATED Customer Service. Hopefully their decision to screw this previously loyal consumer will cost them...and the Chinese with whom they purchase their steel.Fed up with the indifferent big-business tactics of Namco,Doug WelchWappingers Falls, NY
