We loved this grocery store. I have recently begun a vegan lifestyle and eating Indian food is so helpful to having a successful experience.The man in the grocery was so helpful and nice. They had plenty of everything. I was looking for roti which I found and lots of other things.They also have prepare food which is a plus. I really recommend you going to this grocery. Its a small business so you can feel extra good about shopping there.

This place has been around my whole life and its a neighborhood treasure. I come in a few times a year to stock up on spices and other kitchen staples. Its always well-stocked and clean, and the owners are always courteous about helping you find things or making suggestions. Bring cash if you can!

I would never recommend anyone to visit this store1. The vegetables are not fresh every time i visit2. The prices are very high for every item3. The lady at the store is very attitudeAnd here comes the very interesting part Today I visited the store and while billing she is typing the prices very high and entering for the paymentAnd when I asked she said the different price and then I asked why did you enter an other value, she said no I entered the value correct and then I was checking she is also entering the wrong weight (lbs)Worst store

Great takeout food, as well as an impressive selection of groceries that can be hard to find at big box stores.

I stop here when in the area -perhaps averaging one visit every couple of months. Typically I get the chicken or vegetarian platter. The price is right (currently) at about $6 for a hearty serving of tasty Indian fare. Oftentimes Im able to get two meals from the one purchase. In addition to the good variety of ready made Indian food, theres a wide selection of spices and some vegetables. If youre inclined to cook your own, this would be a good place to shop locally for ingredients. Service is friendly and their hours are convenient. Hopefully Krishna Grocery will be around for a long time to come. The store is beneficial to the area.

Gross inedible cold food. Meat was full of bones and debris. Naan was stone cold and hard as a rock. Salty goo instead of curry. Was charged double the price on the confusing menu. AVOID !!!

Food is incredible. They were very friendly & accommodating to my boyfriends dietary restrictions. Even threw in a free papadum because he cant have naan. All around great place!

Fantastic Dosas! Well worth the 30 minute drive from my home. They only make them on Mondays and Fridays. Be sure to call ahead to reserve yours. Great little business to support. Friendly owners.

Ive only visited a couple times thus far, but I do plan to add it to my regular local-shopping route now that Ive officially moved here! We love the dry good selection and spices as well as the produce. Additionally, the hot food is really delicious, and honestly, in my opinion, unique! Definetly not your typical recipes used and thus it tastes more like something your family would make for you. We love the samosas, please give those a try when you visit! The family running the place is always very friendly & always helpful. (:

The couple that runs this place is incredibly friendly. Not only that, but their prices extremely reasonable. As well as hard to find anywhere else. This is THE place to go along the Hudson for rare Indian ingredients.

This Place is more than a Grocery Store. To me this place is Holy. Let me tell you. Since coming here it has changed my life in health & Spirit. I am a vegan now and lost 20 lbs. I also have bought spiritual items and blessings are happening in my life. The Husband and Wife owners are Great! Beautiful people. I love this place. Is it even a Grocery? They only have few stock. We expect them to have everything, but most of the portion sizes are large. But you have no choice except this if u want to get indian products. Very sad truth, that there are not Indian stores to buy groceries and stuff

Love stopping in here when Im in the mood for Indian food, but am on the way somewhere. Its also good for when I need bulk of a certain spice, because theyre well stocked in spices and a bunch of stuff Im not personally familiar with. Always nice to hang out and chat a little too :)

My favorite local spot for takeout Indian - the paneer they use in their Saag Paneer is so flavorful, some of the best Ive had. The couple that runs Krishna Groceries is so kind as well! Their dishes are all so fresh and they offer some tasty & fun packaged snacks that you shouldnt skip! Lots of spices, teas, and other treats whether youre a seasoned chef or just wanting to try something new.

This is a very unassuming little white house by the side of the main road that is filled to the brim with Indian staples and delicious hot food, drinks and dessert. Their non-veg platter of the day was the chicken curry and it was one of the best curries I’ve had, so good that I slurped up the curry long after the chicken was gone. The saag paneer was just ok, a bit greasy and bland for my liking. Their gulab jamun was delicious. I am definitely returning to try their samosas next time!

All the Indian spices one needs comparatively speaking at excellent priced. Its a little grocery that also has ready made Indian meals Marsalas, rice and curries. I get my chutneys here too Family run operation. Not handicapped accessible. Steep cement stairs with an iron railing.

What a nice store! Their selection of spices, pulses, and pickles is good. They also sell a small selection of prepared foods that they will heat up if youre hungry at the moment.The proprietor was extremely nice and very helpful. He knew exactly where everything was that I needed, then left me alone to browse.Ill definitely be back!

I have been seeing this place for months and finally stopped and I am glad I did. The owner is super nice and helpful and even though they dont have a traditional menu, the food they make tastes like home cooked Indian food full of love and its awesome. This is one of only a few Indian specialty stores we have found in our area. They have a nice selection, including spices, condiments and hot, tasty prepared food to eat outside on picnic tables (weather permitting) or take away. Its like much smaller version of Kalustyan s on Lexington in NYC, but nearby and not so crowded.

Great Indian deli! Good place to get authentic Indian ingredients youll never find in your local supermarket, as well as fresh veggies and ginger. They also have a truly excellent and inexpensive vegetarian lunch platter which I highly recommend.

Best lunch and dinner take out period! Where else can you get a delicious vegetarian platter for $3.99? The owners are gracious and friendly. A true gem and one of the best kept secrets in Poughkeepsie! I think people are starting to catch on!

I LOVE this place, the dosas are amazing (Mondays and Fridays) I can get all the ingredients I need for cooking Indian food (Indians in the family) and the staff are lovely. Felt like a little piece of home.

Om Shanti! I am so glad I found this place! I travel a lot and was looking for a healthy hot meal. I get so sick of cheap highway hub trash and this place was the total opposite. I got a combo meal with some bone in chicken curry, and peas paneer. The paneer was roasted brown, and very dense. Great! The styrofoam was irreparably orange with turmeric. That’s how you know it’s good. The super friendly man who worked the store recommended to me the frozen Doda Burfi treats, and they are delicious. I am still rationing them, as I was reassured they can stay at room temp for a few days. I also loaded up on purple sweet potatoes (a rare and sought after find in my world) and got some handmade bell jewelry and Ganesha incense. I felt very comfortable resting to eat in the parking lot. I would totally return to Krisha Grocery if I pass through Pough again. Namaste Krishna Grocery!

I hav been going to this place for a while now. Never disappoints, they have a quick and simple lunch menu. Plus you cant beat the price. They also have a lot of Indians spices, tea, rice and snacks. Monday and Fridays the have masala dosas which are to die for.

The gentleman who owns this store is so sweet and seems happy to strike up pleasant conversation with you. Good selection of Swad and Patel Brothers brand items, including spices, snacks, pickles, flours, dal and other beans and grains. Good frozen section as well. They also have a small selection of produce, including Indian chillis and eggplants. Also offer a selection of kitchen wares. Their fresh-made samosa and jalebi are wonderful too. Very grateful for this place in an area otherwise devoid of these ingredients!

I wish we had more options of Indian stores. Its good to see the variety but at times products are expired and it kind of feels bad when you pay so much for stuff.

If you are into Indian food and cooking Indian style, this shop has all the ingredients. It also has a small case of prepared meals, too.
