Store is on the small side but still seems to have a good variety of goods. Staff is extremely helpful. Managed to find a last minute Christmas gift that no one else had in stock. Highly recommended!

Always a fun place to look and shop.

I always get my New Balance shoes from Big Five. They are competitively price but I shop there for the convenience. You can find your size, try it on and leave quickly. If you need help the staff can get you other shoes.Today the staff and customers wore masks, however I did not see that they sanitize the counter tops or scanners after customer use.There are other sporting items to shop for although today my goal was to get new walking shoes and be on my way.

Polite but this is the first Big 5 Ive ever been to that ran out of stock on a One Day Deal item. They said its because theyre a small store. Based on my experience, I will call first before visiting this store again for a specific item. The store was clean and well organized.

So this big 5 sporting goods actually surprised me with stock in what they had on their one day coupon ad. Customer service was pretty good. Along with a couple other items that many other sporting goods retailers wouldnt necessarily have in stock which made my shopping experience very progressive. Good job big 5 Poway.

Poway Big 5 is small however has a huge selection of sporting goods clothing and footwear.

Employee who helped me find my boots was helping well, and got several sizes to find me the best fit. I had to run to an atm and the employee held the correct size up at the register to make my return visit to pay quicker. Enjoying my new boots almost every day.

Normally I always have a good experience at this location and one of the managers Max is great, but recently my last experience here was unbelievable. So I come in to make a return on an item that was a display when I purchased it, when I got home I found out the item was broken so I brought it back and was told they wouldnt expect my return and that unless it was brand new in the box they would not refund me my money... makes absolutely no sense seeing as the item was not brand new in the box when I purchased it.. I had the receipt and the item was brought back exactly how I purchased it so why would I not be able to return the item. Asked to talk to the store manager and was told that shes too busy and that she could not help me... great customer service right....? So I will be returning to this store only when MAX is working from now on. Hopefully he can fix this ridiculous problem for me when I come back.

Good store, great prices.Big 5 used to be the most expensive sporting goods store around. Now, theyre the cheapest for brand new equipment. Selection isnt spectacular, but they have most things you need.
