After looking for a few weeks for a car online at various dealers locally, I decided to take a look at Five Star Cars before I went online to purchase a Ford Focus hatchback. Well there was the 2017 Focus I had been looking for—low miles, leather, all around what I was looking for. Skyler agreed to ask their mechanic to remove an unneeded hitch from the front and replace the valance piece for no charge. Roger, in addition to locating floor mats, showed me the automatic features of the car and welcomed me back to learn more. Then a week later, they realized that new tires were scheduled to be put on it and THEY CALLED US AND PAID FOR THE TIRES. This is unheard of. The staff was very friendly and there was absolutely no pressure to choose a vehicle and plenty of information was given when requested. I would suggest that you pay very close attention to anything you would assume the lots mechanic checked out as I was left stranded in my new purchase the third time I drove it due to a rotted battery terminal connector, that also happen to be only available at a dealership not an auto parts store. I only mention this because there was clear evidence that it had recently been greased but not replaced with one not rotting. I feel this is something a car lot mechanic should have definitely taken care of during inspection and repair while making a vehicle ready for sale. I missed the issue because it had a battery terminal cover on the side that was rotted. The issue must have been present for awhile as it depleted the battery to the point where it will not hold a charge now and needs to also be replaced. Again, as far as vehicles go this is a very small issue but just be sure to check out everything yourself and dont rely on a lot mechanic to make sure you are driving away in a reliable vehicle. I would purchase from them again but with a much closer inspection of the vehicle. I would like to add that I do not live near this dealership and when my vehicle issues happened I was in Flagstaff not anywhere near Prescott Valley and the Nissan dealer was the only option for the part I needed. Had I been in Prescott Valley I am certain I could have called 5 Star Cars for assistance and they would have helped me.

My experience with 5 Star Cars started a little over 4 years ago. My wife and I were in need of a vehicle that would last us through her schooling, and our kids’ busy lives. Our credit was no where near where it should have been when looking to buy an SUV. After being turned away from other places, we stopped at 5 Star after a referral from a friend. We met Bruce, who was friendly and kind, and let us know he’d do everything he could to help us out. After securing financing and assisting us with down payment options, we left with a nice Dodge Journey.About a week after we bought it, we noticed a dash light come on. We promptly brought it back and Bruce’s mechanic diagnosed the issue immediately. Turned out to be a wheel speed sensor. As with any purchase of a used item, we knew we would have to keep up on maintenance and make sure that worn parts were replaced as required.Fast forward to about a week and a half ago. We paid off the Dodge and now wanted to buy a pickup truck. We wanted a Tacoma, and just happened to see they had one in that matched what we were looking for. I met Bruce’s Finance Manager, Randy, and he was very helpful. Filled out the application online and Randy immediately went to work to get us financed. Five star deserves their name! They were very fair on our trade deal with no pushy sales pitch. Every person we dealt with was top notch. They put a lot of work into making sure their vehicles are thoroughly inspected and priced right. We highly recommend them if you need a good used car.Just bought our second car from 5 Star. Best car purchase weve ever had!! This dealer of used cars was nothing like the pressure you feel at the bigger dealerships (Chevy, Ford, Toyota, Subaru etc., etc.) Absolutely NO pressure. Our questions were answered and they were very knowledgeable about the cars we were interested in. When you drive by the lot your first impression is that every car/truck/suv were new. They only sell good used vehicles. You wont go wrong if you purchase a car here.
