Stephanie was great. I heard good things about the salon and read the other good reviews but she went above and beyond my expectations. I get a ton of compliments and have been recommending her to everyone I talk to. Will definitely be returning.

I had an appointment with Tessa a few days ago, and i am beyond happy. I’ve had some really bad luck with stylists in the past, but I could not be more satisfied with how my hair came out. I went in with a pretty rough color correction, and Tessa took her time and really showed off her skills, she does beautiful work and it’s obvious that she loves what she does. She was also extremely pleasant to talk to and a lot of fun to be around. 10/10, wonderful experience all around.

I love Joanna S.... I have been a client for years, and I jokingly refer to her as My Miracle Worker. She has a fabulous eye, and is incredibly gifted. I am that person who needs her input always as I have very fine, thin hair. I am constantly complimented and asked who does my hair. I am looking to relocate, and my new home MUST be within commuting distance of her ❤️

They are a bit expensive. I like their products. I just wish they could have more promotions or better quality gifts. The gifts they give out are usually useless

Tara was absolutely amazing. For a reasonable price she gave me a beautiful highlight and lowlight. She spent extra time making sure everything was perfect and just the way I wanted it. Great listener and kind hearted!! Definitely will come again.

I 💖 this ulta store! I am always greeted warmly, always find what I want when I need it, always get great help from the staff and go home knowing I wasn’t sweet talked into buying something I didn’t want. There is way more of a selection here compared to Sephora and it’s also more affordable.

So much friendlier than Sephora. Employees welcome you with open arms. I was clueless before coming here but Angela, one of the employee gave me so much helpful advice and even helped me pick a foundation color that matches. I will definitely start coming here more.

The staff here are a bit slow... they really need to be trained on their products because I’ve been here a few times asking about certain ingredients that are well known and it’s like they just have no clue.

Kelsey has been doing my hair at the princeton ulta for 10 years. She is a wealth of information and i trust her completely with any cut and color. She is honest about what treatments you will benefit from and gives solid recommendations how to care for your hair at home. Endlessly recommend!

I usually don’t write reviews but Nathalis Reyes definitely deserves one! She is absolutely AMAZING! Extremely personable, professional and of course talented! I have been searching for the right stylist in this area for a long time, and glad to say I’ve found her! So happy the GM Macy scheduled me with her. Thank you ladies. My hair feels heathy and beautiful. I must also mention the stores regulations and procedures for COVID made me feel safe. Kudos!

When I booked the hair appointment I was randomly assigned to stylist Nathalis Reyes and despite being in a literal pandemic, everything was absolutely perfect. First of all, I very much enjoy and appreciate the professional atmosphere at Ulta while it not being an obnoxiously bougie salon. I went in with a plan to just chop some dead ends and add layers but Nathalis literally hooked it up!! She added mad layers, thinned out the hair a bit because I have a lot and most importantly, cut and styled my hair so that I can wear any part I please. I had no expectations and would have been happy with whatever but Nathalis knows what they are doing and afterwards assisted me to find high quality, affordable products for my unique hair type.

Ive been coming here for years. Joanna is an incredible stylist! Id recommend her to anyone, she is quick to answer your questions and never disappoints!

Kelsey is always great at listening to me while Im explaining to her how Id like my hair, cut, or colored or styled and shes always spot on. I walk in with my hair a mess and I walk out feeling really good about my hair. Shes friendly, honest, and great to see while Im at Ulta. Thanks to Kelsey my hair is healthy and it feels like silk.I would recommend anyone to see Kelsey for their hair cuts, styles, or color. Ive had other stylist do my hair and so far Kelsey has never disappointed me.

Love how I can get high end and drugstore brand make up and hair products in one place. I like as a member of this rewards program that they give free samples regularly. Its also superior to Sephora since when you earn points that turn into dollars to spend on anything in the store. Its convenient that they have a salon open every day too

Hi Beauty Lovers,Just wanted to drop by and leave a review for The Salon at this Ulta. I got a full head of highlights done by Stacy here. Let me tell you that my results were complete amazing. I’ve been through 3 horrible experience getting highlights without getting the right color. But let me tell you that Stacy listened intently to everything I had to say, gave me the best tips on how to care for my new hair, and advised me on which products to get. Stacy and the rest of the staff at this salon were welcoming creating such a pleasant experience. I have found my hair stylist and will be coming back to her! Come here!! You’ll walk out so satisfied with your new hair!

My mother made an hair appointment with”elite” stylist Kelsey, Kelsey who was uncomfortable doing a woman of colors hair left my mother head in the sink while she left to “get a brush” but really was scrambling around the salon to find someone else to my mothers hair. Kelsey was beyond unprofessional and incompetent. Embarrassed and humiliated my cancer survivor mother to the point that I at 37 weeks pregnant had to drive a hour away to Ulta Princeton to comfort her. Luckily once I arrived Kelsey had fled the scene and the salon manager Suzy was doing my mothers hair, and she did a awesome job might I add. They did comp the service which was appreciated but what would of been more appreciated is if my mother could of came to her appointment, gotten her hair done, and left happy like everyone else. Was my mother supposed to disclose her race over the phone, while making the appointment. The experience was very disheartening and Kelsey is anything but elite, she handled the situation badly and basic her lack of skills in her chosen career my mother was abandoned in the sink, left sitting in the chair of someone who didn’t even want to try, and pushed off onto someone to smooth things over.

I found what I was looking for when I couldnt find it in other stores. Product was advertised on shelf as buy one, get one half off, but did not ring up on register as such. I brought this up and it was quickly remedied with a smile. Signed up for their points earning membership and recieved a free gift of Estee Lauder trial products for doing so.Good staff and service at this store!

Good choices of brands.Very helpful staff.Wish they had store coupons the day we visited.. but neverthless the polite and helpful staff helped us spend more :)

Poor customer service, asked 2 different people to help me with finding a bronzer that didn’t have talc in it. They said to check bunch of brands, all of them had talc. It wasn’t even that they did have talc but the lack of effort was just overwhelming.

I get my haircut by Michelle P. She is wonderful and I consistently get compliments on my cut and color.

Never again, sat there for 4 hours and paid almost 300 for something that cost me 50 elsewhere. And they do a better job!

For the most part I always have a great experience in this store. Ive recently been going for facials. Danielle is a great esthetician!

Great hair designer, Tara, she is funny and very sweet and made fabulous suggestions for my hair. I am so pleased with color and cut!!!! I scheduled my next appointment immediately after my session was completed.

I came here for the release of Tracee Ellis Ross hair care system! Wooooo they have it and the display is beautiful. The staff members are friendly and very helpful. I was literally standing over them while they were putting up the display. Lol omg so excited. The staff members were so nice and kind too!

I was in your store located at 540 Nassau Park Boulevard in Princeton, NJ. I will start by saying that even though this is the closest Ulta to me it is by far the worst. The staff is usually very rude and dismissive. I was in this location approximately 5:40pm and was not greeted but continued to look for somethings i saw online. I had a question on one of the products so I asked the associate at the register if the product came in a smaller size. She was unsure and asked another associate. The associate she asked was named Madison. Madison advised me that it only comes in one size and chuckled a bit and whispered into her ear piece. I walked to the next aisle and heard her say Mario Badescu....im not putting that on my face. then she paused and into the ear piece again she says you have to have some standards at first i was shocked but then became offended. The manager Alex walked over to the benefit bar (where the interaction took place) and had a little laugh with the two associates and I walked towards the perfume. I then walked over to Alex and said may I speak to you for a moment. I explained to her what I heard and observed and I was instantly let down again by the staff in this store. When i repeated what Madison said she replies oh I didnt mean to offend you, i just have a preference! once that was said the manager moved me to the front of the store and apologized and asked how she could make this better. I feel there is no real solution and told her I will make a formal complaint. I am not the only person who has been profiled, disrespected and treated very poorly in this location. I have reached out to management before regarding this store and the lack of customer service and plain human decency of its employees. I will not be shopping at this store ever again and to be honest probably Ulta as a whole. I hope this matter is taken seriously and is addressed thoroughly.

Went in to get a Vera Wang parfum, they didnt have it but they ordered it for me. I was very happy.

Parking lot is available. Hair salon inside store, never tried but heard good comments. Appointment better book appointment if you are planning for hair or facial. It is pricey to compare the service so never tried for hair service.

Way better then sephora. They treat you very well here. Everyone is so helpful. When you buy things here you earn points and they take money off of your purchase. Unlike sephora Your stuck with samples of things you dont use.

I’ve been to ulta twice to get my hair done I personally book with Nathali both times ! If you looking for someone who understands hair and your vision she’s your go to girl ! She’s helping me slowly go lighter while keeping healthy hair as the number one priority all you have to do is trust the process and you’ll be a happy customer !

Went in for a trim as a first time salon client. Chose ulta because I figured as a corporate salon they would guarantee their work. Told my hair stylist I didn’t want any layers as my hair was butt length and was only getting an inch or two cut off. We decided to cut 12 inches off to donate instead of the trim, cutting a few more inches for “styling”. I asked if it looked finished as I hadn’t had a hair cut in years and she said it did. I went home and immediately was unhappy with the cut. It looked like my hair was cut straight across and that was that. The following day the salon was closed due to snow so I phoned the next. I told the manager I wanted to come in to see the same stylist to add in some layers but was hoping to avoid paying for another $50 haircut. She told me there was nothing she could do for me as I left with no complaints. The stylist didn’t offer me a mirror to see the outcome of the haircut, and I didn’t ask, as previously mentioned, it was my first haircut in years, so I didn’t think of it. She wouldn’t give me any discount what so ever, not even just charge me for a trim. She did her salon and employees a disservice as it took away the chance for her stylist to make a client happy with their work. I don’t doubt that the girl who cut my hair could’ve made me happy, but after just spending $50 a day prior, I couldn’t pay another $50 to get something that made me comfortable. Disappointed and won’t be going back. Went to a small shop in Bordentown to get the layers and the salon told me I was free to come back if I found myself unhappy as they agreed that was uncommon for a salon to do.

Walked around looking for a product with not one person ask me if I needed helpOnce I found it I had questions about two different products. The guy in the department was more concerned about fixing his own make up that he never even noticed me sitting on the ground reading the bottles. Never will I go back. Terrible customer service.

Walked around for an hour, couldnt find any employees to help me. No one ever came up to me to ask if I needed any help. I finally get up to the counter needing help with foundation since it was my first time at ulta and they did not give samples. How am I supposed to know which color fit me? I couldnt tell in store, they all looked the same to me and no one helped me find the right fit anyway. Waste of time! Im going to Sephora.

My favorite things to buy at Ulta are the NYX lip liners, make up wipes, & hair products. You cant beat the fact that there is always a coupon on ulta website or emailed to you.

My favorite store to buy Lancôme products. Plus my purchases accumulate and earn points, saving me money--unlike department stores. Not all Ulta stores carry Lancôme. Get monthly catalog of sales and coupons and frees samples with purchases. Great place to explore for all my beauty needs.

Nice environment but the staff is so Rude!

After getting my brows butchered at a local salon (New Kaya in Plainsboro, NJ *** WHICH I DO NOT RECOMMEND) I ran to ulta for anything to fix my new Ronald McDonald brows. The ladies at Ulta wee AMAZING. One helped me for an entire hour trying new products on me and having me practice them before I left. I have never felt a group of women so committed to a cause. It was both heartwarming and comical to experience and I want to thank them so much for my 2007 britbey Spears meltdown.

I work in Trenton so this Ulta is close and I figured since I would be going to a area that is highly populated and upscale my expectation was pretty high. Well I must say I have been to this location a handful of times but twice in one week and I was disappointed both times. I first went on a Thursday, there was no Maybelline Green Primer and no NYX Microbrow pencil in Espresso. There was NYX HD Banana Translucent powder and Maybelline FitMe Foundation in my number. I asked an associate if she could check the back and she said delivery was in the morning.I returned to the location that Tuesday (5 days later) to find that there was still no Maybelline green primer and there were 2 NYX Microbrow pencil in the espresso cubby. I also looked for a facial pore scrub but nope, not there. I grabbed one and got home (35 miles away) to discover it was Auburn!!! Either its out of stock or not in the right place. So annoying and now I dont want to be bothered going.
