This is always a great store for health minded people who want great produce at a good price. The veggies are extremely fresh and last longer than veggies at any other store. They have a large variety and every kind of veg you could want. We live shopping here and it saves a lot on our produce shopping bill. They also have lots of packaged items. Probably every item you would want to buy for a healthy pantry. And since covid, all of their former bulk items and now packaged for safety.
Its always great shopping there you can always find what you want if not they can order it for you I love the place
The best in town! Their deli section is amazing with healthy specials everyday.
Unique store with organic produce and homeopathic wares. Sad on this visit because I wanted something from the deli which at 5pm was closed even though the store closes at 6. Drove half an hour to get there which was a waste of fuel.
Great store to buy the freshest organic produce. I’ve been shopping here for over 15 years. Staff is friendly and helpful - easy to tell they like working at the market. Lots of specialty items that you can try in small quantities - a nice plus.
Great store! Staff is incredibly friendly and goes above and beyond to help.
They carry items that I have not been able to find in other places. Love the variety. I go out of my way to shop here. Found 3 new GF products that are delicious. They sell the good brands of vegan cheeses.
I love this store. They have many vegan items plus select varieties of items that I dont see anywhere else. Love the all organic produce section. The bakery and cafe is good too.
Really great place here. They have array of quality, clean food and a little deli that also serves premade or made to order food. Had a killer black bean burger and the kids had a quesadilla with lots of good veggies. After we left I called and asked for the ingredients and they totally helped me out. Five stars for sure.
So I really like that this store has a lot of herbs and supplements you can’t find other places but some of the workers the older white women( almost everyone who works here is white) are rude and condescending. The younger white girls are cool and sweet wonder why ?
Highest quality all organic produce around. The staff is friendly and helpful. Fantastic selection of bulk items. Bakery items far surpasses the quality and freshness of Whole Foods.
This is gem of a place in Princeton, truly committed to good nutrition and organics. Best selections on many food items.
I love this supermarket. All the produce is so fresh, Ive never had it go bad over night like Ive experienced at some places. Their variety of bulk items, vegan, organic and eclectic items keeps my family coming back week after week. Worth every penny every time.
Natural food store in business since the 70s. Nice produce. Has a good curbside pickup system with same-day slots often available. It doesnt cover their full inventory, though.
Ive always loved this store. What I like about it now, is that it has held on to its original purpose. The produce is great! The products are great! The employees are pleasant! I still love it after all of these years
Great place for great food. People are kind.
Something of a throwback to old good co-ops, but also you too date and convenient. Three staff are knowledgeable, the selection is good, and you can trust that the products are healthy. Its a pleasure to shop here.
Helpful staff with a unique variety of all kinds of healthy n organic products from food, beverages, desserts, to go food, meats, fresh dairy n veggies to personal care products n more.
Been a customer for years. Excellent products and hard to find things like groats, whole beans, natural foods, makeup and more. Love it.
Lady named Ruth at cashier is difficult, unfriendly (unless she likes you), very poor customer service skills. Feel very uncomfortable when I am in the store.
Normal grocery store, but not spacious inside
Decades of bringing us quality organic food. Good stuff!
Good organic and local food options
Ample parking, excellent selection of baked goods, veggies, cheese, bulk options, and all types of grocery options. Not too large and not too small with a great juice bar and quick bites in the fridge. Stop by and check it out...the freshly baked cookies were delicious!
In concept this store is great and a rare find in NJ. I went for the first time today and was incredibly excited for the potential impact a bulk-food store could have on my shopping habits. Unfortunately, the progressive and compassionate stance of the store itself was not reflected in the people who work there. If I wasnt being completely ignored in moments where I was clearly looking for help, I experienced some frankly cold and condescending treatment from the employees I interacted with. This store is located in an incredibly affluent area and I couldnt help but feel like I was an outsider who didnt quite measure up to the stores typical clientele. Really disappointing.
The OG of natural food stores. Fab
Great organic supermarket with a bakery. I enjoyed the customer service, Kombucha on the tap and the various bakery items. It reminded me of the origins of Whole Foods. They also have a good selection of organic cold brewed teas. Please like this review and follow me on Google for the next round of HONEST and UNBIASED reviews.
I love to go to this place... food is delicious the soups 😋😋😋,bread, and fresh vegetables
The best place to shop for your food.
Great store, shoppers and pickup system.
Absolutely Love this place.Great everything..🥰
Fresh organic produce, fully stocked, vitamins and supplements galore, high quality beef/pork/bacon/etc., friendly and helpful staff. Grateful for supermarkets like this.
Great great great market
Unbelievably staggeringly expensive, but all the best quality health foods and products you could want and the deli makes delicious prepared foods that are not outrageously expensive so its a great spot to treat yourself to lunch! I love the fakin Bacon melt! The quesadilla is also great, as is the colby cheese wrap. Yum! They always have delicious soups and salads ready to go too!
Not bad, high prices, been to other similar stores and they were easily the most expensive Ive ever been to. They had an ok selection, thought I would have seen more local items, but I was able to get some local stuff which was good, wish there was more though and they were out of wild rice. They are kind of small and they dont have as much as a selection as some other stores but they have some good stuff like sheeps milk yogurt.
I absolutely love this place. Great selection for a small mom & pop type of establishment. Great bulk items that I will only buy there. I dont know the peoples names that work in the produce area, but they are very friendly and knowledgeable.
Good selection of organic veg and vegan health food items.. I love their fresh bread, when it’s in and their natural health and beauty range. Expensive but often good sales. They also serve small worlds coffee at the deli. No WiFi or cell coverage in the deli seating area (Which is often a blessing). Staff, as others have mentioned, can be rude.
Easy outdoor pickup of order.
Love the produce and the people
This place is the go-to store for organic and local produce, but its also too expensive. Bakery is very good for a health food store but they need to shape up their attitude, some of us are really tired of their frostiness and superiority and have plenty of other choices.
Helpful staff and good range of products.
Its great to have a honest store with healthy options. A little pricey but good.
Organic produce, bakery, vegitarian deli, personalized service, knowledgeable staff, if I have a special spice or ingredient crew will do the best to help. this place is one reason we moved into the area
A local gem. Great prices on organic produce and lots of speciality items.
HiIt’s meShaaravI like this placeNow isSaturday October 102020
Always good experience.
👍 great
I shop here when Im back home. I love the fresh pressed oj with wheatgrass. Decent vegan choices. High quality produce for a grocery store, although very expensive, but it is Princeton. Staff can be a bit snobby and rude, but what do you expect its Princeton.
Outstanding selection, great staff, great prepared food in the cafe, a real destination.
Great food
One of my favorite places to pick up Vegan dishes. The staff is always courteous and friendly and they have a nice selection. You must try the Mushroom and Cashew Stew whenever it is on the menu...absolutely delicious.
Great store, with fresh organic produce, but they are not labeling ready made food that has nuts in it. Disappointed because Im allergic to nuts. Ive had to return food because its not labeled.
Great natural food grocery, theyve been around forever, before Whole Foods, before it was cool. Good vibe, good selection, quality and integrity, and local as can be. Just what youd want in a natural food store.Interesting selection of alternative cookies, lots of Homeopathic medicines, good produce, ice cream selection a little weak though, interesting snacks and drinks, good hot food, lots of bulk items, good yogurt, etc, ...
I love the prepared foods; and they have some great sale items sometimes. What I dont love is when my money is taken, and no thank you follows. I expect more from a mom and pop type of establishment.
I moved to Baltimore just over a month ago and Im taking the time to post this review just to let everyone know how awesome this homegrown store is. As the saying goes, You dont know what you got till its gone. Sure, Whole Earth may not be perfect, but compared to all the health food stores around here, Whole Earth is way beyond the competition.Where else are you encouraged to bring your own containers—where you can actually measure the tare of your containers on a digital scale. (I was at a store recently where I went to so much trouble to use my container—I had to take each one to the counter to be measured and rely on the cashier to memorize the numbers; I just gave up!)?Beyond this, Whole Earth Center simply has everything under one roof. This past week alone, I had to visit three different stores to get all my granola ingredients. Whole Earth sells bulk honey on the cheap. They have flaked coconut, sesame, sunflower, mixed nuts, almonds, exotic dried fruit. You may think, Well, duh, this is regular fare, but believe me I havent found a single store here with everything in the same place! When I discovered Whole Earth, it instantly became my number 1 store. On most Sundays, after church, Id simply stop by to get the weeks supplies. The staff were always pleasant and wonderful. It felt so homey. Whole Foods is certainly on par (plus it has the brand advantage), but Id only go to WF if WE had closed.Overall, this is simply a wonderful natural/health/organic store. I only bought bulk ingredients here, so I cannot comment on the bakery, etc. For bulk produce, though, I would not hesitate to rank them among the top 3 in the area.
This is the best store for great food. The people are wonderful too. They are the real deal - started on the first Earth Day. So theyve beenadvocating for real food for decades. The store also supports localcommunity causes and organizations. Make visits there a habit!!
Dedicated staff with variety and fresh products.
Love this place! Sometimes they dont have everything but they make up for it in what they carry in bulk!
Love this place. The name says it all.
They have the best produce & GF/Vegan options. Love the emphasis on organic & local. The best place to shop in town!
Absolutely love this place! They only sell organic produce - local whenever possible - and have a nice selection of other products as well. Its nice to have a store in the neighborhood that offers lots of fresh organic foods at good prices. The organic produce here in many cases is cheaper than conventional produce at large chains such as ShopRite and WholeFoods. They make a lot of foods for lunch and sell it packaged all day as well -- sadly much of it has soy or wheat or sugar which I cant eat, but all of the prepared foods Ive tried from here have always been delicious and fresh.
I absolutely love this place - a treasure to have a small organic market with REAL food, only reason I cant come as often as I would like is that I dont drive, by choice, and the 1 mile + walk is a bit tiring especially in the cold. I can get ingredients or buy things here that are real food in a world of processed garbage.
The Produce is fresh.
If I lived closer I would be there just about every day. Great fresh prepared foods, great bulk selection, local vegetables / fruits, highly environmentally conscious.Staff are often busy, but will make time for you when you need it.I am somewhat self conscious when I park my 20 work truck in a lot full of hybrids and bicycles :-)
- Pro: Conveniently located at walking distance from the center of Princeton. Good selection of vegetables- Cons: Prices...Vegetables are okay, but other grocery products are very overpriced. Organization is lacking, and employees are not properly identified.
Small and very overwhelming
I am impressed...I have gone twice. The first time I was extremely apprehensive about the store. I love Whole Foods and Wegmans...but this little place (in the heart of Princeton) completely skeptical. But today made my second time going to the Deli section of the store and I spent 18.00 on lunch...The food literally called out to me. I also purchased a freshly squeezed orange juice with Ginger. This is my 2nd time purchasing the black bean burger and they do not disappoint. I will be returning AGAIN once the weather is nicer. Possibly sometime in June. I dont mind the drive from where I work. It is relaxing.
Very difficult to move around in store. Parking there is a big problem.
Little too pricey, but you can expect that for a store near downtown Princeton.Wide selection of organic stuff. Love their store-made/home-made spinach pies.
Lisa in the health department is wonderful and has amazing knowledge about the products. I hope to see her as the manager one day
My wife and I have been shopping at Whole Earth since 1988. Over the past years weve noticed changes. Weve been both experiencing disappointment now and then that we dismissed. But this time we decided to speak up to make other customers aware. I purchased 2 bags of Apricot Kernels that had a label directly beneath it of $4.99. Sometime after returning home, a 1/2 hour drive, my wife went over the receipt and discovered we were charge $12.69 each. By the time we left the store no price lable had yet placed for customers. When I brought this entire issue to the attention of the manager, whose name begins with M., he offered no customer service for the trouble caused, and only reimbursement for any package not opened. In addition, we discovered that Organic Almond Butter had been charged at $26.39, when other food stores charge $10 for organic Almond Butter. On average, we had been spending $250-$300 a week at this store. What Mr. M. does not know is that he was speaking to a Naturopathic Doctor who has also been sending his clients to Whole Earth. From this point on, I will not be spending my money at this store anymore, and also making certain that my clients are aware of what happened and to either not shop there again or at least be very careful of overpriced items and misleading price labels.
Organic heaven
I like the store but people in deli is Not friendly!! Especially there is woman who is behind the deli counter is very rud . I go back to whole Foods Market to get my respect and be happy with the people working there!!
Whole Earth is a hidden treasure. If you havent stopped in for lunch...you must! Different food each day and ALL delicious!!!!!!
Top notch organic and locally grown food, in a lovely little market.
The vegan food and organic food here is great. Always went here for lunch.
One of Princetons hidden gems. Great prices and good selection of fresh and packaged foods.
Best store good prices for decades
While I like Whole Earth Center a lot, the fact that canola oil is used extensively in their food preparation is a huge disconnect in their healthy food claims.
Accessible
Helpful staff, public restroom, wide selection
Excellent good, lovely people!
Always a great place to shop
*Average selection of natural organic stuff, no meat at all in the deli?
I really like this place!!!!!
I find the General Manager rude and superior.
I love this place!
Very busy at lunch time
Love this place
Basically a local whole foods
