Sad to confirm that Pins and Needles has closed. Thank you to Kathleen and staff for 18 years of wonderful yarn and needlepoint.Kathleen and her staff are wonderful. They have a varied selection of yarns from several manufacturers. There are always beautiful sample projects so you can see how the yarn looks worked up in a completed item. Pins and Needles also has great accessories like project bags, stitch counters and stitch markers. They carry a few brands of knitting needles and crochet hooks including Addi. I love their selection of buttons too. There is also a large section for embroidery and cross stitch. Someone else will need to review that. I wouldnt do it justice since I dont do that craft currently. There is a late night on Thursdays for shopping and hanging out to craft with others.Go and enjoy squishing the yarn and be inspired in this warm, welcoming shop.
I love this little shop. The selection of beautiful yarns is wonderful, but the staff is even better. If/when I have a knitting emergency, someone is always there to get me back on track and moving forward on my project. They also have some gorgeous needlepoint canvases, but I havent started on that yet. I know where to go when I do. :)
Nice selection of yarns but the owners put themselves first before customers. I stood at the counter ready to check; ready to pay, and they were discussing their own bonuses. I havent been back.
Terrific selection of high quality yarns at fair prices, with a suprising amount of items on clearance. Staff are welcoming, friendly, an informative, without being overbearing. Great place to find a gift for someone who knits, crochets, or does needlepoint. The layout is also really interesting - they manage to pack a lot of inventory into a smallish space without it feeling too cramped, and the layout of the building interior is interesting, architecturally. definately worth a trip. Go on a weekday before noon if you prefer to browse when its quiet.
Very nice yarn shop. With wonderful people. So lucky to have it in Princeton! Always a great selection of yarn and great prices.
My girlfriend goes to this shop a lot. I tag a long occasionally. Its a quant little shop with lots of nice yarns with a range of quality. Even though Im not into yarn, I still enjoy going into the store for its small town quaint feel. Shes bought a couple pieces and made quality scarfs for me. If you love yarn, this is yarn heaven for you.
Ive never shopped here, however had to extend a review on service alone. I was in a crunch for time and had to pick up a gift certificate for a friend. The website wasnt working so I called, not only did they tell me I could pay ahead on the phone because I had to run in on my lunch break and didnt have much time, they asked me what car I drove and said that they would run it out to my car in a nice package all wrapped...I couldnt believe my ears! What a convenience - I didnt have to worry about parking in busy Princeton, and as I was looking to call and say I was there - they were already walking to my car before I dialed!!!! Amazing and very kind service. And my friend who I was buying for - LOVES it here. Thank you Pins and Needles 😁
