We needed to replace our 1994 wooden garage door with a new one. The quoting process was very smooth. Rob, our sales person, was able to give us many options as well as samples. There was one color sample we needed to see physically on a door sample they did not have on hand. Rob was able to order the sample for us which after color / design matching the house we decided to go with.There was a slight supply chain delay, but Rob was very communicative about time line shifts. Once the door was in the install process was very smooth.Overall we had a great experience with Action Overhead!

UPDATE: Action returned and evaluated the issues I was having with the doors. The tech was great and did an outstanding job of making adjustments which completely fixed the issues. Very satisfied!Recently purchased a new build where Action had installed the garage doors. My only complaint is that the slightest breeze causes the doors to rattle. There is constant noise from the doors when they are shut. Im no expert but it appears that the rails need to be adjusted closer to the wall so that the door sits tighter thus removing the gap that allows it to rattle around.

Action installed the garage door on our new build house. We were having an issue where the garage door wouldnt close sometimes - Action came out and fixed the issue within 24 hours of our call.Apart from quality products and installation, all my interactions with Action employees have been examples of true professionalism. Just this morning, a storm rolled through our neighborhood and left construction debris from nearby houses on our front lawn. Before I could get outside and clean it up, the Action employees who were installing a garage door across the street had already come over and moved things back to where they belong (even though it wasnt their equipment.)The folks at Action are good people and do good work. Its hard to ask for more.

I wish I could give them 6 stars. I forgot the name of the guy who came out but he did an awesome job. My garage door works like new. A++ job. Will definitely use them again if needed.

We just called these guys to have them help complete a garage door opener install that I couldnt complete, because it didnt come with all the parts/correct parts it needs. The response from the guy who answered the phone was My job is to sell you a garage door opener, not come and clean up the mess you created. Absolutely unacceptable!!!!

I never write reviews, but I had a really great experience with this company! My garage door eyes were out of alignment. This has happened so I just called like I have before to get them fixed. I know its pretty easy to do, but Ive been a homemaker the majority of my life so all that stuff goes over my head. However, when I called this time the representative I talked to, Erik, walked me through the process and I was able to do it all by myself at no cost! I havent felt that empowered in a long time. We had Action Overhead do our garage door opener at our rental in Savage, MN. I could not be happier with their installer Jeff! He was great. From the person that took my call and sold me the opener and labor for a good price, and scheduled the work, to the the tech calling 30 mins ahead of time, to the company getting me in on July 3rd! These guys are TOP NOTCH and we wish them well! Dont hesitate, they are the best. I have had others do work on our other homes and they are by far the best.

I called early afternoon on a friday as a cable snapped on the spring/pully system. They managed to get someone over in a couple of hours. I got a text before he came over, and he called on the way with an ETA. He was awesome. He answered a lot of questions and showed me some maintenance tasks that I was missing. Very awesome service, highly recommend these guys!

I dont post many reviews but wanted to comment on Action. I called several companies to get a idea of the cost to replace a broken overhead spring. Of the companies i called, every one would give a range that varied by several hundred dollars. Action was the only one that gave an exact amount. My bill ended up being a little higher due to 2 extra things that were done but they stuck to the price quoted on for the spring. They were quick to come out, professional and thorough. They will be my first call if i have any future needs.

Best customer service and installation experts! Top notch from start to finish. My spring broke and the Action Team came out right away and repaired it. Soon after we went with 100% new everything. The estimate was very fair. They also waved the spring repair visit since with did a new purchase. I never felt pressure to purchase anything. I was referred to Action Overhead Door when my garage door broke. It was an older door so it was recommended I replace the door and I worked with a very friendly sales person who was not pushy with up-selling and I wound up with a great door. I ran in to a little bit of a problem after the door was installed and spoke with the manager Jeremy about it who was very professional and fixed the problem right away. Everyone I spoke with throughout the process was very friendly. I would highly recommend!

Excellent service! I highly recommend this company. I had them fix a broke spring and replace weather stripping. They did great job!

Called several times to try and schedule left voicemails and no return calls. Was calling for a quote and timely to get all new seals and doors adjusted. I had talked to them and had the appointment set for the following Wednesday. Never heard a word waited till Monday to give them the benefit. I finally called to follow up. Talked to another guy he said it still needed to be scheduled but said he wasn’t sure on that so he’d have someone call me that was aware of what was going on. I said we had it already scheduled for the past Wednesday. Well we are week 2 of no calls. Will be calling someone that wants the business.

Mike arrived on time and worked very fast and efficiently. He also took his time to explain to me the components of my garage door and answered all the questions i had.His work was outstanding and would definitely recommend them.

No response. After an online inquiry with no follow up, I decided to phone in a week later. The person I spoke to said they could not help me and he would leave a message for the correct person. a week later I phoned again and left a message with the person that could not help me again, waiting for someone to phone me. I phoned reliable garage doors, they sent someone out and Im replacing both garage systems. I wanted to support local but local did not want to support me.

The folks at Action are, hands-down, the best. On two occasions, I have had emergency repairs needed. I have called them after hours and left a message and have received a return call by 7:00 am the following morning and have had same day repairs completed, with my door functioning properly before I got home from work. They do great work, their customer service is outstanding and I can only assume that their pricing is competitive because I would never even bother to shop around. Action is my garage door guy, end of story. Thanks to everyone there for taking a really bad situation and turning it completely around.

Super nice people, had an issue with my garage door wall button. I called in and Woody gave me a few things to look for but I ended up replacing the button. I went in to pick it up, it was sitting on the counter waiting for me, paid and left. Probably a whole 2 minutes total. I would totally recommend them to anyone. Super helpful and nice.

I had a great experience with this company! I called at 7am and spoke to a very kind man who tried to help me trouble shoot over the phone to save me time and money. It did end up needing service, and my garage door was fixed by 9:15am. The serviceman was EXTREMELY kind and patient-my very curious toddler boy wanted to watch him fix the garage door, and he was so sweet to him while he repaired the door. I feel like the price was also very reasonable, especially considering how quickly they fixed it. Would definitely use this company again!

This company is Top Notch. My garage door wouldnt open this morning. I called Action and the person (Steph) on the phone was able to troubleshoot my problem over the phone. She very friendly, courteous and very helpful in getting a service technician scheduled to come out. The service technician (Jeff) called to let me know when he would arrive. He was very efficient, no wasted movements or trips back and forth to his van. He corrected my problem (broken spring) and then lubricated all the tracks, rollers and chain before he left. We had our tension spring break on our garage door yesterday. We shopped around and found action overhead and had them fix the spring. They sent out Mike out to do the work, very nice guy. He was very helpful with explaining what he was doing and looked over the other two doors and said they were in good shape. It took him maybe 20 min to complete the job at a reasonable price. If I could rate at -11 stars, I would. Tried setting up an appointment three different times and each time the man I spoke with was very rude and misogynistic and tried to give me quotes almost 3x over the rate I finally found elsewhere. I do not recommend. Horrible business.

These guys were great for me. I had a narrow window of time, and my garage door was smashed in, needing immediate replacement. They were able to have two people on site, parts in hand, the very next morning with nothing more than a phone call and some emailed pictures. They were professional, courteous, and done in less than two hours. Im one to notice and remember good service. You wont go wrong using them.

I was unable to get my car out of the garage, and could not go to work. One of the sales reps dropped what he was doing, and came over right away. He released the spring, and got me out of the garage. They came and fixed the door the next day. No extra charge for the emergency house call.Last week, the opener main chain sprocket broke. They came out within two days, and not only fixed the sprocket, the service tech basically did a once-over on the opener, greased and lubed the tracks and rollers, readjusted the settings. The opener sounds and runs like new-out-of-the-box!The fee was the quoted fee, no extra for the tune-up.I own a business, and I know good service from bad. This is great service!

Cable broke on my overhead garage door late Saturday. I called and left a message on Actions voicemail. They called back at 7 AM this morning. They were here and had it repaired by 9 AM. I am a residential remodeling contractor. Yesterday I got a call from a good customer - it was 17 degrees below zero. The customer had backed his car into his overhead door and at 8:10AM he called me for help . I called Jeremy at Action Overhead in Prior Lake. He asked me to text him the address and phone number, which I did. At 8:20AM I spoke to my customer to say I thought they could get it fixed today. He said Action Overhead had already called and they were on their way. At 9:50 my customer called me to say thank you - the repair work was finished and the price was completely acceptable.As a contractor, I have worked with this company for many years and they are the best! If you are in the market for a garage door, it would be a mistake not call them for an estimate. Buy from them with confidence.

Garage door broke on a Sunday afternoon and due to the company being closed I ended up leaving a voicemail with Action Overhead. In an attempt to get my garage door fixed ASAP, I called another company that said they could be to my house between 8-11 am on Monday morning. Fast forward to Monday morning when I receive a call from Action at 7:15am and am told that they will have a team out to my house before 8. Team shows up around 7:45, take a look at the door, fix the door, and are off on their way by 8:05. Hands down the best experience that I could have hoped for and helped to calm some nerves around the house. I will highly recommend them every chance that I get.

Me!On a recommendation I called Action Overhead Garage Door and they were out at my house within an hour and had my door fixed 20 mins after that. Like pulling teeth to get them to help you. Always busy and “flooded with calls”, that’s why they didn’t get back to me right away. (Why are all those calls more important than mine?) No offering of costs, alternatives, options for my damaged garage door. Second week of emailing back and forth. Clearly trying to get me to replace both my garage doors even though one was damaged. Constant inconsistent answers on a product. The panels I need are hard to install. The panels I need can no longer be ordered. Yet when I called the manufacturer, oh what? Oh they CAN be ordered. Quoted me $2400 after I told them the panels can be ordered.Update: Went to another Garage Door Company (All Seasons) and was treated as a priority. They also did the job for $1900 and had no issues getting the panels needed.

Very rude and over priced, I called and asked for pricing on an emergency lock out key for my garage door incase if power outage, $120 for labor and $25 for the part, while 3 other places are charging $45 for call out labor and $20-$30 for the part. The rude jerkoff said I can sell you the part if you want to do it your self, why would I be calling you then?

Quick, came the next day as promised. We have had them out twice in the past 10 years, reliable and reasonably priced.

Unreliable and inefficient. I had a technician come out to check out the problem to my garage system, he said the whole garage liftsystem needed to be replaced. I asked what the estimate price would be to replace the gears vs how much to replace the whole system. Technician said hed get back to me in a day or two, but its been 4 days. I would not recommend this company. Poor communication. Im an unsatisifed customer so I decided to go with another company.

Amazing service! Days of full service in this world have gone away. But working with AOGD was like going back in time. Not only did they try to trouble-shoot over the phone first (I didnt even ask them to, they just offered...to try and save money for me), but they sent someone out w/in a day after my attempts failed to solve the issue. THEN, Pat got here and was not only knowledgable but personable..he gave me advice and showed me how to adjust things on my own. He noticed I had added insulation to my door so he adjusted the springs to address the added weight. Seriously, Im going to make sure everyone I know uses AOGD so they stay in business as long as possible. All companies (garage door or not) need to take a page out of their service playbook. Thanks to Pat, Kirk and the whole Team over there! You guys knocked it outta the park!
