This location has wonderful staff. They were very helpful with helping me figure out the pricing of my large package. I will definitely come to this location again. I wish all other locations had friendly staff like this one!!
I have come to this location many times since it is the closest one to my job to drop off returns and process shipping of packages and everytime I get there when they open at 8:30am and no one shows up to open the door until 8:45 am. I tried calling and no one answers the phone this is ridiculous. If the store is supposed to be open at 8:30am then why isn’t it open until 8:45. Hence this morning I have seen 4 people show up and grab the handle to the front door and then get mad and leave

My boyfriend went in here to do an Amazon return for me & the guy at the counter was refusing to complete our return unless he bought a $4 roll of tape… my boyfriend proceeds to question why he has to buy tape to complete the return because clearly Amazon states they will pack, and label the return for FREE! We do Amazon returns all of the time which is how we knew he was lying. He just kept telling my boyfriend “it’s a business, are you going to buy the tape or not?” When there’s literally tape sitting right behind the counter that he could use to tape up the package. The price of tape isn’t the issue here, lying to make your store more money is. Everyone in line behind my boyfriend also agreed this worker was ridiculous & wasn’t following Amazons return policy. He also tried to tell a guy in front of us that shipping would be $380 to ship off his item, and he was smart & refused to pay that and went else where to ship his package. Super rude service & they will do anything to make more money off of you!
I arrived at the UPS Store this evening and was assisted by a young man named Mike. He went out of his way to help me package several computer servers and their associated cords as well as some other peripheral equipment. He spoke with not only me but also the VP of our corporation at another location to assist me in making choices for packaging my products. He balanced my wait time with that of others by packaging an item of mine and assisting others who arrived after me. While it took some time to package my products, this was to be expected. Given that this company is in the business of packaging items, you have to anticipate the possibility that even if you enter the store for a “quick drop-off” that you may enter the store behind someone with items to be packaged. So go when you have the time (or during the day when things seem a little quieter if you can’t spare the time it might take if you arrive behind someone else).Having said all of this, I am just reading the reviews posted by other customers which might have deterred me from going if I had read them before. My experience was a positive one and while others may not have had the same experience I agree that the abrupt responses to the reviews detract from the good work that is being done. Had I read these reviews before, I would have given the owner a lot of credit for having indicated that he was sorry if the customer had a bad experience, etc. rather than lashing back. Those of us reading these reviews know that there are often crazy, unreasonable customers, BUT in my opinion the key to not letting these reviews turn people away from a good business is to show that YOU are the reasonable one. Just food for thought.Thanks again, Mike, for all of your help today. I know that packaging and sending my products was a chore but I appreciate your work. I recently purchased an item on an auction site which utilized the UPS Store in Prospect, CT for their shipping option.Immediately after winning I reached out to the auction company and the UPS store, as directed, and gave them my payment and shipping info, thinking that it will take a while to receive the item.Well, to my pleasant surprise, the item showed up much more quickly than expected, which was very much appreciated.Over all, a wonderful transaction with very responsive staff. This is by far the best UPS store I have ever been to. The workers and owners here are exceptionally nice, friendly, and go out of their way to help you. I have had to drop packages here regularly here for years and it has always been great. They also offer great advice when trying to figure out how to ship on a budget.
The Parcel Center is a small family owned business. Baz, the owner, is very kind and helpful. He will gladly spend time with customers either in person or on the phone. I drive past at least three UPS stores to get to the Parcel Center because of how great the people there are. While many UPS stores rush to get people out of the door, the Parcel Center is much more welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend their services.
Visited this store to return my Amazon packages. Have to admit Amazon made a mess sending the return labels required. Thankfully, Afif, UPS executive working at the UPS store was very helpful with return. He saved my time making it easier to return the package. He was very kind and helpful during the overall process. Highly recommend this store for the customer service they provide.

After seeing many 1 star reviews, I felt inclined to say something. This is outrageous and unacceptable. This is my neighborhood store, I’m there a lot making copies and faxing. It is amazing how many times I witnessed confrontations between angry irate customers with employees at this store and every confrontation starts with an assault of some kind by shameless customers. They think they are entitled to free services and supplies for their free returns.They feel they can talk to the owner in a condescending way. They question every store policy and rules and don’t show respect to the policies or the employees. I give the owner, who is the nicest guy, a lot of credit for standing up to his employees and not apologizing to these nasty customers. I fully agree with him as I see him all the time holding back at first but he tells it the way it is. I heard him so many times, show us respect, pay for your supplies and service and you will be treated like royalty. It is very simple, stay away please, it is less headaches for everyone.
The worker was extremely rude. “I need to get you out of here because it’s busy” we’re his exact words to me as i was trying to package boxes. He was not helpful and just rushed and figure out ways not to help each customer.
Its 4:15 on a Monday and I just came back from their store where it was closed Even though their hours were listed as open. It is currently snowing out so Im assuming thats why they arent open today 0but it would really decent of them to update their store answering machine to say theyre closed or better yet update Google to say theyre closed for the day. Even with the snow, other places were open so after driving to this UPS I then went to a CVS that was open and dropped it off there.
I had to do a return to Amazon it was so simple. They scanned my code printed two labels asked if I had anything else, handed me receipt and Im out the door. Excellent fast and with a smile.
Mike displayed excellent customer service and professional skills. The experience was outstanding..Look forward to continued transactions with this UPS store.
These guys are AMAZING. I came in last minute with a fairly complex order and they turned it around so fast. They seriously saved my life and were super nice and patient while doing it.
Brought an item to find a box that fits and the trainee had to go in the other room and ask her boss, and he said “Well he has to pick the box” with an attitude. So much for customer friendly, even though she measured the dimensions for me I got a box that fit too big because lack of customer service. Been here one time before and they tried a box for me and it fit perfect. It’s what they brag about on all their TV ads, “They do everything” I thought they we’re supposed atleast try to match the correct size to the item and not give me a hard time. I can from see other reviews the owner is miserable though
Afif gave me good help over the phone, my auction winnings that he picked up were well packed, and the fees were reasonable.
The owner is rude. He wouldn’t send my package because the shipping label wasn’t on flat service even though I reassured him I made sure my package was was wrapped enough to not break. Either way it’s on me if it breaks, your job is to scan and ship. If the label coming off was an issue a better way of customer servicing would’ve been offering to add a little more tape over the label. I was better off going to USP in Staples anyways . They provided free extra tape for my label and labeled my package FRAGILE just for extra reassurance gave me NO HASSLE and on top of great customer service I was given two coupons that I can actually use.
The easiest amazon return. all I had to do is do my homework before i went to the store. I got treated with respect and did not have to purchase anything.
Waited outside with my two daughters for our turn. We were all wearing masks when it was our turn to go into the store we walked in and were waiting patiently. A man behind the counter then tells me to have my kids wait in the car. Which is against the law to leave kids unattended in a car. Then when I said no thats against the law we just have packages that are already labeled and scanned in. He snaps back saying we are putting everyone in danger in the store. If there are too many people in the store have the people who came in after us wait outside like we did patiently. I truly did not appreciate being shamed for having my kids in the store with me, and also on top of it told to have them wait in the car by themselves. They are 5 and 8 years old just inappropriate and rude service.*****I did not buy anything at the store my packages were already labeled taped and ready to go!!!! Please stop lying, and I WAS asked to have my children wait in the car. And if there were truley only 3 people allowed in the store the three people who walked in behind me should have been asked to wait outside.
They are not friendly to customers that drop off items with prepaid labels. I was really taken back by his approach when advising me that if I am dropping off a package, to place it in a designated area instead of waiting in line. I didnt understand his reasoning at the time and he just kept on going back and forth and telling me that I didnt need my receipt and if I wanted one to come back when the store is closing and not to wait in line in such a rude manner. Because I used an amazon box he assumed that I was returning an item (which I wasnt) back to Amazon and just decided to be rude to me because I wasnt spending money at that particular moment. I understand that with covid 19 you are trying to minimize exposure but there is also a respectful way to talk to people. Just was rude and very unwelcoming. I know I am going to get a rude reply from the owner especially after seeing there defensive responses to other customers but its okay, just looks bad on them and not me. Doesnt seem like they are taking accountability for their actions. I left the store with great discomfort and I would never step foot there again. I may not have been a paying customer today, but I could have been a paying customer tomorrow. But you will never know now cause I will not do business with you again. I was so impressed by this UPS store that I got a personal mailbox. Every time I go everybody is so friendly even though they may have a long line they always wave and say hello as I go to check my mailbox.
I dont understand all this complaining about being charged for packing tape. This place is absolutely the best. Always friendly and helpful . I buy my supplies when asked to and everything works out .
The absolute worst customer service. Want to feel belittled and disrespected, then come to this UPS store. Management needs some serious customer service 101 tips. I would rather drive 30 minutes to another UPS than go to my local UPS. What a shame. Shame on this management and shame on UPS for letting this continue. I tried to mail a package but was denied. The packing job was not up the employees standards and instead of explaining the issue, he kept on laughing at me.I did not ask for free tape or anything that would cut into profits which would have been wrong, I simply tried to mail something. (another location took the same package/same condition no issue and was safely delivered without issue).Being turned away would have been one issue, no big deal. But being laughed at multiple times like Im asking for a favor or being a jerk is just bad customer service.

This is the worst UPS and service store I have ever used. The clerk (apparently the supervisor) suggested I use DHL (not UPS) to ship a small gift to my parents in Europe. The charge was $209 dollars and when I asked about filling out a customs form, he said he would take care of it. He took the list of items (which he could see bc the box was open) and then said he would send me a tracking number by email. I never received a tracking number and had to call for it. The box was held up in customs for days because the form was not completed correctly. After numerous calls to DHL, I learned that if I had sent the same package myself thru their online pick up service it would have cost me $70 dollars and my parents had to pay an additional 76 euros to have it delivered. I felt like it was extortion. The person who helped me was rude and did not explain any of the options. I wish I had read the reviews (which are consistent with my experience) about this place before I used it. I am certain the owner will post a rude response or remark but I have all the paperwork and documentation to prove it. I don’t ever give bad reviews but felt so strongly that I went online to do so for this particular store. I am taking it up with DHL. Do not use this place ever.

Consistent issues with the store manager. Today specifically I had asked if there were package orientation stickers that could be placed on a heavy / fragile package, and was told that Fragile and This Side Up stickers basically are not honored by transporters. So he would not place them on the package.In the past this same person has refused to affix a pre-printed shipping label into the clear adhesive shipping packet (that the Wallingford location had no problem doing). Stating that I had to purchase a shipping label from him (this was a preprinted - prepaid label provided by a vendor for return of goods).Im concerned that certain decisions are being made here by management out of convenience to them and not by standard UPS guidelines. Ive contacted UPS Corporate to make this issue known and they plan on investigating.

Would rate less than one if I could. My daughter brought a package that had extra insurance to this UPS store. Per instructions from UPS it had to be dropped off with a store representative or the driver. The girl working at the store refused to take the package because she didnt want the responsibility. She told my daughter to come back and give it directly to the driver at 5:30. My daughter went back and waited 45 minutes for the driver to arrive and the driver told the girl you know you could have taken this. The girl once again said I didnt want the responsibility. Unbelievable its her job to take packages. They need to learn what customer service is. A complaint with the UPS main office is on my agenda. Absolute worst UPS store. This is the second time we have had an issue with them. Avoid at all costs.

If you need copies made, go to the library down the street! It costs 10 cents per copy versus $3.00. Also, if you need something printed on legal paper, they will not do it because it could break their printer?! I have never heard of such a thing. But the librarians down the road are very willing to help!!

I frequent this store a lot to make copies and use their Fax and Computer scanning services. I pay for everything and am happy they are there providing these services. This is a great store I love coming here. Personally, The staff is wonderful to me in very helpful. From my experience going to the store I have Witness the vast majority of customers come in with attitudes.... If you have a problem buying tape and a box to ship your item... well... you need your head examined 4 real. Come to the store with your item already Box to and taped with a label otherwise expect to pay for those things... How ignorant are you all to expect FREE stuff! This aint Bernie Sanders or Obamas store! They dont have one, cuz theyd be BROKE! Just like this Democratic state of CT that gives FREE things to its people so frequently that they think even businesses should supply them with FREE services and goods. Lol. Wow!!! The ignorance! Do no business with this store.I am amazed how outrageously insolent a particular man that works here is. I asked my mother pick up a package for me since I was unable to myself and had UPS send it here. When she arrived the man working tells her that nothing was sent there that day and effectively told her to leave, despite me having a notification that the package was dropped off there around 2 in the afternoon. The 800 UPS number on my missed delivery notice was called, further confirming that it was sent to this location. She enters the store again and the man eventually gives her the package after some debate and some lame excuses for being difficult from him.If you send something here to be picked up, expect the guy behind the counter to cut you off and lie to your face because he cant be bothered to do his job.Also, I do not understand why he mentioned that this UPS Store is a private location and not a UPS Store. If that is true, whats with the UPS Store sign? Very deceptive (or possibly another lie). This type of behavior sickens me.

I have been coming to this store for 12 years now. I never had any issues or problems. I drive far to get here even though there is a ups store down the road from me. The owner is such a nice guy and he hires the best workers and they are all friendly and professional. However, I witnessed an ugly encounter where some lady began yelling at him when he was trying to explain to her about the process of dropping off pre paid packages. I guess she did not like his accent and started using profanity and using you people. I was very happy to see him handling it professionally with a smile but was even happier to see him put her in her place and threw her out of the store. Good for you Mr Baz, you got my support. I will continue coming here and will continue recommending you to all my friends and family.
Just like last review. UPS app says package is there and get told it’s not there. I assume it’s still on truck and return the next day. Man behind counter without checking says “not there you were here yesterday”. Young lady checks computer and grabs my packages. Extremely rude. Learn some manners and check your ego at the door.

Okay so heres my experience. I went to drop off a package which contained phones, so the girl behind the counter asked Does this package contain lithium-ion batteries?, to which we responded yes. Afterwards she said The package needs to have a label stating that lithium ion batteries are in the package.Okay so good so far. I had taken a look at the shipping label that T-Mobile sent me prepaid and noticed that there was indeed a warning at the bottom that stated This package contains lithium ion. The cashier said Oh, thats not going to work, youll need to buy this print out for $2 so that the warning is large enough to be read. I thought this was a little bit ridiculous so I said This label was made by UPS and it is clearly written at the bottom. She then said Well, you can have T-Mobile send you a new label!. I said No, were not going to deal with that, this package is labeled.The cashier rolled her eyes, took the package out of my hand and then printed out a receipt and said Heres your receipt!.The rudeness of this clerk was unbelievable. 1 Star.

I asked if I could print my label there and they said sure, had me plug in my USB to the copier and I printed my prepaid label. I expected to pay for the copy, (I used to work at Staples where they charge 10-12 cents a copy) I dont expect it for free. The owner rang me up for $3...for one copy... He claimed it was for the computer time. For the computer I didnt touch. I know its only $3 but that is absolutely ridiculous. I paid the bill and left, but I wont be going back.
A piece of tape was missing off of my box and he wouldnt even tape a small piece that was missing off of my box.He told me to go home and tape it after driving 20 minutes to the store.
Second trip, second disappointment. Stopped today for what SHOULD have been a simple drop off return back to Amazon in the original unopened box. Yes, ORIGINAL unopened box. UPS Store guy once again claimed that box could NOT be used because the it contained a laptop. Remember, this is the original unopened box sent from Amazon via UPS.Only conclusion I can draw is he wanted to get money from me by buying HIS supplies.NEVER going back and Id recommend you to go out of your way to stay away from this store.

It is outrageous how certain customers react to their experiences. The UPS Stores dont set up their own prices and they go by the retail rates of UPS. You van buy a coffee at McDonalds for one dollar and at Starbucks for 4 dollars but it is your choice. However, you should not trash a business for opening their doors to you all day, every day!Also, Laptops contain Lithium Ion batteries that must be labeled according to Federal Regulations:To protect you mr Einstein. You could be riding on the same Airplane that is carrying your Laptop that you got from Amazon.The owner was simply doing his job trying to explain the proper procedures and was not trying to sell you anything.
I went it to drop off a box that I needed to return and I asked if I could borrow the tape and was told that I needed to buy a roll of tape because they don’t allow customers to use their tape. That’s some basic minimum customer service expected from a package delivery company. Will not be back at that store.
Horrible customer service, was over charged and they lost my package. When I tried to get help the girl behind the counter rolled her eyes and sighed. Her father the owner was rude also. The took no responsibility for their errors.Rude rude rude avoid doing business here threatening
So went to this store and asked owner for a box to ship a guitar. He stated it would cost more for the box alone than having them ship and package the item themselves. He priced my shipping at the highest rate and didnt tell me any other options at all. I used a 20 percent off coupon and he only discounted 15%. Called UPS corporate and the advised that this franchise does there own business and i should use a real UPS center from now on. I will never go here again, worth the 10 minute ride up to Watertown CT to get honest service!
Great store, great customer service! to the people who are complaining, get a life. a business needs to make a profit to survive and continue to provide a service to all of you who want something for nothing!
WOW. What terrible service. Had one foot in the door and the woman rudely tells me she cant ship my package because I wrapped the box in brown paper, and that they had to wrap it to ship it. Ive shipped packages wrapped myself hundreds of times - she says its her store rule. What the f?EDIT:JUST LEFT QUEEN STREET STORE. ACCEPTED PACKAGE NO QUESTIONS ASKED. PROSPECT STORE SUCKS!!!!

Rude!!!! Rude!!!!Rude!!!Dont bring your pre-labeled packages in here, my labels were made as per UPS guidelines found in UPS web-site, but based on this store they were all wrong, which is funny cause I brought the same packages with same labels to the UPS customer service in Watertown and had no problem plus the customer service there was nice. I am not new to shipping, I have ups at my house dropping off 3 times a week. So I am constantly shipping orders out. This store should not bear the UPS name in front of their store. Keep in mind these stores are privately owned & I guess their profit margins are lower with pre label boxes. Also, do you really need to know what is inside my box? When I go to USPS they only ask me if I have anything hazardous or perishable materials in my package, that is the federal law, not the exact content. This is the first time in my life I have wrote any type of reviews about any business & I have had some bad experiences in the past, but these people are just out right miserable & shady. Stay away!!!
Fedex must have asked these folks to leave bad reviews. Dont know what they are talking about, this place is absolutely the best!!
