They have struggled with the pandemic. On the upswing now. Much smaller menu, and staff, and number of seats. Not what its was but worth going and helping them grow back and better then before. Such a great part of the neighborhood.

This place is always closed, and we finally got to get in today. Had high expectations based on what I was told. Not sure all the hype. Bacon was forgotten, but regardless of a mistake that indeed happens (however Im not sure the point of a BYO if you forget the crown jewell) The sandwich was ridiculously overdressed. Mayo and hot sauce soup. It was food, and i ate it all, still tasty, but big disappointment.

An off the beaten path deli but so worth it.I was skeptical walking here because it didnt seem like a deli would be located in such an area. But lo and behold...we saw it in the distance like a beacon in the sun. The place is tiny but cute. Service was friendly.I ordered the LBG and boy was it amazing!!

Really enjoyed my vegan The Rabbit sandwich! Super yummy tempeh bacon, garlic mayo, nice quality bread. Just an fyi they dont have a bathroom.

The food, the staff, the options, the vibes, the location, everything about HSD absolutely crushes! As someone who can’t eat eggs, having breaskfast options that are delicious (tofu scramble) and will fit into a sammie is clutch. With gf, vegan and a multitude of options, this place rules. I inly wish they were opened longer!

This place has creative selections that pack tons of flavor. In two months Ive tried 4 sandwiches going back different days at different times to verify the consistency; and they have proven themselves each time. Whether its the jalapeno cream cheese on one sandwich, or lemon- basil aioli on another; their product is awesome. If you are ANYWHERE in the providence area, you owe it to yourself to try them out.

Ordered 4 sandwiches none of them correctly made.... no oil and vinegar on the grinders 1 was supposed to banana peppers none very disappointed

Great if you split one large with a few people...hard to eat it by yourself and the price was a bit much for my pocket...we hadnt been in years so we ordered 2 large Italian sandwiches 40$ later and couldnt eat a half never mind the whole thing...but the bread was amazing and fresh and the meat as well it was a bit spicy so I recommend ask for less hot pepper relish unless spicy is your thing!!♡

Absolutely love this place. Recommend ordering online and picking up. There isnt much space to eat in inside or outside. The choices are great, fresh and versatile with a lot of them being able to be vegetarian.

A little hidden gem, they have an extensive menu and their sandwiches are delicious! Whether you’re getting breakfast or lunch, there are a ton of options to choose from, and you can add on ingredients as desired to really make it your own. They also sell high-quality deli meats and cheeses, along with a small assortment of grocery items. A good amount of vegan options as well. Great spot!

Hudson Street is a great neighborhood deli. Staff is friendly and helpful, I go for lunch often as its only a few minutes from where I work, quick service and really really yummy. I get the Bahia, the green machine, kinda caprese and the Dexter. All ingredients are super fresh, the garlic mayo is yum!

The breakfast sandwiches are great, the best Ive had in Providence! Cold brew coffee is great, interesting varying options for sweeteners (like banana molasses) and hay straws. Good place to grab some milk or eggs if you run out, though the line may be long.

These guys have the best breakfast sandwich in Providence! Its called the Atlantic and its mind-blowing. Their bagels are the perfect consistency for a sandwich. They dont skimp on the smoked salmon or avocado. The shop is pretty unassuming on a side street corner, but its a pleasant and cozy feel.

Awesome breakfast sandwiches and an overwhelming menu with so many vegan options. I love the jalapeno cream cheese! They are usually pretty busy, but the staff moves quickly and they are super nice.

The sandwiches you can get here are all made fresh and have premium freah ingredients. The only bad thing i can really say about it though is that when i went i got a drink and one sandwich but it had a total price of fifty-two dollars and eighty-five cents. The food is amazing here but be wary of the price of everything here.

Ive been here quite a few times, the food is excellent and the service is great. The Italian grinder is out of this world, and a large weighs about as much as a human baby. The breakfast sandwiches are also excellent, and they have options for every diet. I just discovered that they dont mind making lunch sandwiches at 8am, so Ill be stopping in even more often. I work 3rd shift and I get really sick of having breakfast food when I get out of work.

Excellent vegan options but no bathroom made it uncomfortable for the vegan guests I brought in from out of town. Couldnt enjoy our breakfast because someone had to pee the whole time. A gem! Buried in an unassuming West Broadway neighborhood, its the perrfect place for grabbing a quick lunch, breakfast or snack. Every item is packed with flavor and love, especially their homemade spreads, dips and salads that they sell. Small place that can get crowded on weekends, but the wait is never arduous! You can also order online and pick up when you walk in to skirt the line. Gluten free options, vegan options and veggie options too (and not a scarce amount). Great helpful staff and a huge selection.

The Atlantic sandwich was incredible. It seemed like a pound of smoked salmon was on there. The vibe was great. The coffee was good as well.

Not sure where the negative service comments came from. I just moved here from SC a couple weeks ago, so Im new to the area. I told the man at the counter that it was my first time here and he helped me go through the menu and was super friendly. As I was leaving, he said, See you next time! On top of it, the Dexter I got was delicious. I might have just found my new favorite sandwich spot!

Used to live on Sycamore St in Providence and visited this place recently. One of the best overall sandwich places Ive ever been to. Never disappointed. Please go and try anything...from sandwiches to the homemade lemonade.

I’m newer to Providence and I’m not sure how long it would have taken for me to find this perfect little sandwich spot tucked into a sleepy West End neighborhood.With its striped awnings, tin ceiling and thick marble countertops it has the feel of a timeless neighborhood institution. Usually, when I step into a place that looks like old-timey grandparents I feel so cozy, but I can’t eat anything because of some allergies. But this place has tons of gluten free and vegan options. The fridge is full of tasty things like kombucha, fermented carrots, and bacon. Although there are no breakfast potatoes (and I’ll be honest, that’s a real problem for me) the breakfast sandwiches are so good I hardly miss them (and trust me, that’s saying something). Especially Tuesday morning when there is a steak and egg breakfast sandwich special adorably called: *steaks on a plain* -steak, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel. That’s what I was eating when I was inspired to write this review.An extra nice thing is that, aside from a menu full of puns, the owner is conscientious about everything from compostable to-go containers to providing a healthy work environment that encourages growth and connection. Learning that is what made me start to fall in love with him (I mean, let’s be real, the puns helped). When it first started to happen, would have little palpitations of panic. Thank god I didn’t find this place before meeting him. I would have never risked losing this perfect sandwich spot. Maybe I was single for so long because I’m the sort of woman who would choose a good sandwiches over love. We’ll never know. But now I have both.

I came here regularly when I lived in RI and it was one of my favorite places. The Italian grinder was the best Italian sandwich Ive had. Probably wont be back in providence any time soon but if I was this would be one of my first stops. When my wife had our baby at women and infants the Italian grinder was the first meal she asked for so I drove over and bought two huge sandwiches. One of my fondest memories of RI is sitting in the hospital with my wife and newborn son chowing down on these monster sandwiches!

I personally can do two things at once and what if I am ordering for the person or persons on the phone?? And if its a big order??? If the people there cant multitask then maybe they should work somewhere else.

Asked for pastrami and paid for it. Waited 5 minutes then was told no pastrami. 5 things of pastrami sit in meat case. I say I dont want anything else. I go get my card to get my refund and return another employee begins to talk about me. I said hello Im right here. Next thing I know Im being the rude one so she said. They should know what they have and do not have when a customer places an order.I have been going to this establishment since I was a child without any problems until October 10,2018. Hudson lost a customer and my colleague business as well .

One of the best reuben sandwiches Ive had. Freshly made to order. This place is slightly off the beaten path. If you dont know where it is youll need directions. Ive only ever had the reuben so I cant speak to any of the other food. Id imagine its all just as good though.
