Incredible, I was shopping for my son a couple of pairs of shoes. I have been in and left several other stores, finding that the checkout lines were just too long. Ive been in trouble finding shoes in his size Big 5 had many many multiple pairs in his size fashionable comfortable very very happy extremely pleased one pair was even on sale. Having been so pleased with what I found for my son I decided just take a peek at the mens section and blam on sale my size comfortable cool looking Im very pleased. The customer service was phenomenal the gentleman that helped me knowledge and what size is he had popping in and out quickly efficiently effectively I honestly couldnt be happier Im extremely thrilled. Im more than highly recommend this store if you are in the market and dont go here something is wrong with you.

Got what needed, great customer service, prices were good. Need to keep more on stock, had very little to choose from unfortunately, was lucky to find one cleat in the size we needed to choose from. But was very thankful they did have one for sure!! Everyone else was out stock too!! Must be the timing.

Big 5 Sporting goods is becoming the go to store for our outdoors needs. They have what you need and smash the competing stores with their awesome prices. Get on their email list for even more discounts! We travel full time so we use a lot of camping and outdoors equipment. It seems lately that 9 out of 10 outdoors purchases are coming from Big 5. They even beat Amazon in most cases.

Walked in, asked shane about swing sets. He goes back, comes.out with the perfect swing set. Was helpful, kind and amazing with my special needs kids. Shane made our day.

Shoe salesman changed my life, a buddy and I were getting boots for this plumbing job we were starting and the salesman talked me into buying a pair that was almost 40 bucks more expensive but worth every penny. My buddy ended up getting the boots I got talked out of and, just a couple months ago in december. We were up on a roof setting a vent pipe for the sewer line and he slipped on some ice and fell off the roof breaking his back and now hes paralyzed on one half of his body and he cant move or feel his legs and hell never be able to hold his newborn on his own again. His family is burdened with medical Bills and mine isnt all thanks to Brendan the shoe guy. Ill never forget this life saving moment and Ill forever be grateful to him for talking me out of those widow makers.

I needed to purchase a sleeping bag, I purchased one on sale that was rated at + 25 degrees Fahrenheit. While my particular camping site was cold it did not get below freezing and yet I froze. There is no way this sleeping bag should be rated at + 25. This is clearly false advertisement.

They have recently stepped up their game. The employees were eager to be helpful and assist us. We usually buy my sons shoes here because the selection is good and often the prices are are fair. Plus its fun to shop around looking at all the goodies to buy food for outdoor fun.

If you cant find it at dicks or its to costly...come to big 5 and by the cheap knock off of whatever you were looking for! They carry a better gun selection than dicks and they have a well versed staff that understands they products they sell. Which again is unlike the dicks that is right down there street from this big 5.

As of Nov 2020, place is overpriced, selection of firearm/ammo been poor lately.

I used to shop here a lot, because you could buy good shoes at great prices. Shoe prices today are pretty much same as everywhere else. Crowded store, with a little bit of everything but not a great selection of anything.

Was pretty busy and the store seemed slightly cramped. It seemed like they needed some additional help in the store. There was a friendly sales lady keeping the line going and also helping customers on the floor at the same time. They had a good deal that beat most competitors even Walmart for an elliptical i wanted.

My 17 year old daughter was looking for a specific type of shoes. There were 2 people in that area and, although one kept walking back and forth past her, never once asked if they could help with anything. As there are several other reviews about the exact same issue, Id say they should probably figure out how to provide better customer service before they go out of business.

Extremely unfriendly staff. A young man in a shirt and tie and a blond young woman were in and around the shoe department. Each of them passed by my wife and me several times and never asked if they could help us find anything including prices. Then at check out if I hadnt spoken first to the checkout help, I doubt he would have said a word to us. Prices were good on the items we bought but doubtful we will go back.

Went in for a larger knee brace they had one and it was on sale very helpful in telling me where they were and when I got the wrong size and went back in and they were very pleasant about the exchange
