I got the steak burrito. They grilled me 2 Jalapenos per my request. The burrito was so delicious with the jalapenos. They also had some really tasty salsa. They were also so courteous. It was a pleasure to eat lunch there. I will be definitely be going back.

We love the chicken flautas but the guac and rice are not great to me [but I eat them anyway].If youre looking for a local alternative to Celias try this place out. Or grab something from Piazzas hot bar across the street.

Fresh guacamole and super yummy artichoke quesadilla with a nice tasting gluten-free tortilla. Friendly service, real plates and silverware. Yum!

First time visit at Southwest Grill. The customer service is terrible, unfriendly, rude and very unprofessional cashier. The cashier (lady) was dressed like she just woke up from bed. The cleanliness of this restaurant was disgusting and flies were flying around. I’m never coming here again, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Very disappointed and confused why it has 5 star reviews. Nothing looks fresh, I saw employees getting yesterday’s left overs and placing it inside a crescor aka heat machine. The meal I purchased was gross and I literally had to throw it away. Ended up at Subway. The burrito was a joke! Looked like a kids burrito literally. My phone was bigger than the burrito. They over charge you!

I walked in 5 minutes before closing, as the cashier was closing up and the cook was cleaning up. I expected them to say “too late”, but instead they were friendly, took my order and delivered a very tasty and good-sized burrito. I will be back, for the friendly service and the good food. Thanks for taking in a hungry, late-night diner!

No clue why Southwest Grill has such a low rating here. Im a local who lives down the street. I grew up eating Mexican in rural Texas and southern California. This place is a thousand times better than Celias.If youre in the area and youre trying to decide on Mexican food, do yourself a favor and go here and not Celias.

This is a good neighborhoodhole in the wall with tasty, freshly made Mexican food. Meats are cooked at the time of order, unlike the fancy burger place next door, which precooks all of its patties. They have great enchiladas and carnitas and a nice salmon taco salad. Salsas are unfortunately mediocre, but most other food is good- and the guy who compared it unfavorably to Taco Bell must really prefer stale ground beef and spray nacho cheese...

I don’t go here as often as I should but I am always saddened to see their reviews. They are always friendly, fast, and the food is really good. Plus they have not raised their prices in many, many years. They probably should soon because the economy is really good right now and they may regret it when they economy turns. Not that I want to pay more but their prices have been the same for a long time. Anyway I feel so bad when I see their reviews because I just don’t get it. I eat here about 2x a year so I am not at all a regular but I can’t imagine what warrants these horrible reviews.

NEVER had anything that tasted bland, was greasy or cold!!! Very flavorful food. Grilled corn salsa very good too. Nice southwest atmosphere/decor. Not sure whats wrong with people giving negative reviews...weve been going here for years & never disappointed.

Worst burrito I have ever had! EVER!!Maybe because I grew up in the mission of s.f? Maybe cause I been eating real burritos all my life? Maybe it because it was cold, he forgot the cheese or it had almost no meat?Or maybe its because he never washed his hands that I saw and should have been but wasnt wearing gloves that made me lose my appetitie?Pretty sure it was ALL OF THE ABOVE!too bad. Hesitant to try a new place, have been curious of this place for a while... and it was a terrible first impression.Doesnt help they have PASTOR on the menu but not in the building.Smh.

Breakfast burrito was great. It was a window ad. I got the ham, bean, cheese, 2 eggs. Plenty filling with no taco sauce added I wolfed it down as delivered. Loved it.

Ignore all the negative comments; these people seem bitter and obnoxious. The food is consistent and the service is fast. I expect Tex-Mex and I get it. I do not come in expecting high-end gourmet, but rather simple, tasty, well-served food...and that is what I get.

Super disappointed with this place me and my friend ask for some super burritos and the borritos look like flautas really skinny but got charged $20 dollars for two no meet only alot of cold white rice and really cold. Will never go there again. and would definitely not recommend to anyone nasty food.

I thought a simple taco would be a good way to get an idea of the food. I was right! What a disappointment. Greasy, bland, and no where near the quality or flavor of even Taco Bell. They dont even heat up the tortillas. Raw flour tortillas with romain lettuce strips and kraft shredded cheddar. Avoid this dump and treat yourself to someTaco Bell

Its too bad, I can tolerate and enjoy various types of Mexican food, from traditional taquerias all the way to Chipotle (which may not really be Mexican food), but this place just has horrible food, its really bland, comes to you cold, and the portions are lackluster, the only decent thing is the chips/salsa and the service is not terrible, I work right near this place and would love for it to be decent, but after trying a few things, I dont think I will ever be back..............

Wow, I dont know what the deal is with the poor reviews here. This place is wonderful. Its not traditional mexican in terms of the huge stuffed burritos, etc, but more esoteric flavours, etc. Think chipotle (which I also love) rather than la victoriaThe service is wonderful, the owner/manager is very friendly and tries very hard to make sure your food is good. The flavours are wonderful. The standard salsas are mild for my taste, but he has a spicier one behind the counter if you ask for it. Try the caramelised onions and peppers to your food, too.Since I cannot have the glutens, I usually go for corn tacos, or their blue corn enchilada. Yum! Theyre fine with cooking your food to your liking, too... just ask for what you want. A lunch friend got himself a burger there, too, and that was good. They even make decent fries, and their guacamole, which i usually pass on, has a touch of salsa in it, which made it wonderful.
