Please listen to the reviews because I made the choice of having my prescription sent here and it was a disaster. I have never had an issue with my insurance before but for some reason I waited for 45 minutes for them to repeatedly input my information into the system and then to be told that my insurance wouldnt work. I agreed to pay the $33 even though it should have been free but then I realized that I had forgotten my debit card so I ended up having to return later. The person that had helped me before had forgotten where he placed my medication so after 40 minutes or so of waiting, they refilled it with another one that was more expensive. On a positive note, I will say that the man helping me that time was very nice and apologetic but it was a frustrating experience. Well, then, I went over to the pharmacist to have him explain how to take the medication and he mocked my prescription. I have anxiety and he said loudly in front of other customers, Oh, so you have fright? What are you frightened of? Do you have a big presentation coming up soon? while laughing and smirking. I found that to be really humiliating so that was the final straw for me. I will never have my prescriptions sent here again.
Most of the time they are great but there has a been about five times over the last five years I’ve been here and they either had issues with finding or refilling my prescriptions.
Had a horrible experience on 12/03/2020. I called to check on the status of a prescription, and was told to come in at 1:00pm over the phone. I arrived at 1:00pm, and a pharmacist brings up my prescription, and asks for my insurance. I showed her my digital insurance card, and after 35 minutes of incorrectly entering my birthday (because apparently she couldnt hear me after asking for it 5-10 times, I was trying to be polite and not draw attention to us, but I was practically shouting my birthday and this older pharmacist still could not hear me) AND incorrectly entering my insurance numbers, she pulls me aside and writes all of my information down on a sticky note. However, despite having the correct information written down, she continued to type the information incorrectly into her computer. While all of this is happening, several other pharmacists and the one helping me ask me to leave because apparently every single one of them goes to lunch at 1:00pm, despite that being the time I was told to come pick up this prescription. No one would help this pharmacist either despite her numerous attempts to get help, as they were all more concerned with their lunch break, and after almost an hour of watching this pharmacist try to enter in my birthday and insurance information I finally gave up. I told her I would just pay for the prescription without insurance, which cost $37 and would have otherwise been free with my insurance. While all of this was happening, several other customers who had also called ahead to pick up a prescription and were also told to come in at 1:00pm over the phone were told to leave and come back at 2:00pm, and I watched 3 other people get very frustrated and attempt to complain to a pharmacist about the situation - the pharmacist walked away while the customer was still talking (politely at this point too, about how this was their mistake and they shouldnt have to wait over an hour to have it fixed) and hollered over her shoulder to come back at 2:00pm. I found the whole exchange to be incredibly rude and unprofessional, and I shouldnt have to pay nearly $40 for a free prescription with insurance because a pharmacist cannot hear me practically yelling my birthday at them, read my information from my insurance card, or type it in correctly into a computer. Will not be filling my prescriptions here in the future.
Went to get antibiotics for strep. Wife waited for almost an hour for them to find the information sent from the doctor. Then I took over so sick wife could go home and they said some of our kids are covered but others arent. No- were all on the same plan. Well then some meds are covered and others arent. No- we all got the same prescription. Oh, okay. Well put you on super double priority and it will be 10 minutes (this was 90 minutes in). 45 minutes later I was served. Took 3x as long at Walmart than the entire doctor experience for a family of 4. Absurd.
No joke, there are usually 4-5 people working there and they either avoid eye contact or they’ll look up at you to see you waiting and then go back to what they’re doing. I literally have to say something for them to come and help me and then they get an attitude that I did in the first place. Yesterday I wasted 20 minutes of my 30 minute lunch break waiting for a prescription only for them to tell me it wasn’t ready. So before I left work yesterday to try again, I called and they assured me it was ready and when I showed up after work, it wasn’t. Then they had the nerve to tell me it wasn’t ready because of their printer when I watched the whole process of them getting it filled.
My icecream melted while i waited an hour and a half for my prescription for strep :/ not cool
I used to always use them for every prescription, but they have had my prescription for almost a whole day and havent even started filling it.
I’ve dealt with this pharmacy for a while now. I would say about fifty percent of the time when I had medications sent over it went smooth and there were no problems. However the other half of the time it’s nothing but problems. Prescriptions would be sent and they say they don’t have it. So I’m stuck in the middle trying to figure out who is lying because someone is. Most of the time, it’s the pharmacy. And that’s not all of the problems, most of the time they didn’t have the medications I needed in stock. What good is a pharmacy if they don’t have the meds you need. One lady was making fun of me one time saying my name to another employee working and laughing. That feels great to go they doesn’t it? And now we are waiting for a medication that the perscription was sent over an hour ago and they don’t have the script. Oh, did I mention it’s for my daughter who is having major dental work in an hour and needs it for anxiety?? Don’t go here. It’s sucks. Go to sids pharmacy. Way better place.
Ive been going to this pharmacy for a long tim . Both my wife and I. The technicians are great but Mary, the pharmacist is by father rudest person Ive ever me meet. My wife went to get her meds a few days early because we were going to Boise for the christmas weekend. The doctor approved it yet Mary told my wife we are not doing this again. you dont realize the stress you have caused us toda . I dont care if the doctor apprloves it, Im not doing this again. This lady is mean, rude, and downright a mean person. Ive never dealt with such a rude person in my life. We will no longer go thru you guys ever again. Stay away from Mary un less you want to be treated like tras trash.
One time, my doctor screwed up my heart medication refill and sent a really expensive prescription here instead of the $10 one. When I found out, the pharmacist said theyd have to wait for the doctor to resend the correction before filling it. Unfortunately, I told them was all out of my medication. The pharmacist gave me a couple of my previous prescription pills for free until my doctor could contact them. Very nice and surprising, I wasnt expecting that.
Due to unforeseen circumstances I had to fill an insulin prescription here recently. Due to those same circumstances insurance wouldnt cover it (and anyone who has picked up novalog knows this is a huge out of pocket cost). Both the accociate I was dropping the prescription off with and the pharmacist were very helpful, kind, and willing to do what they could to lower the out of pocket costs for me, providing different options and even calling the insurance while still understanding this insulin was a necessity to my life. I was very pleased with their level of care and help, and would recommend them.
Ive been using this pharmacy for years and everyone is always friendly and efficient.
The pharmacy managers are very rude and they get frustrated with you very easily. I have always tried to be the better person, smile at them and be as friendly as possible. I have been doing this for almost 4 years and I had enough. They are rude to me every time and every time I come around they give that look of oh god its her. I finally switched and I feel better, I never have to encounter them ever again. Plus, they never put my prescription on refill, even though I have asked them to do so for the longest time. I do not think that Walmarts pharmacy is reliable nor are they friendly.
Gast and efficient, get your prescription filled while you shop..perfect
Ive always had good luck at Wal-Mart pharmacy. The plesant and friendly staff are quick to suggest less expensive alternative meds.
I hate this place with a passion they dont give a crap about customer service. Especially Lora she had the audacity to lie to me and tell me they werent open when my prescription was called in even though I called right after to verify it was turned in. They dont care to have prompt service Ive had people sitting on the ground behind the pharmacy counter and look at me and not acknowledge Im there until someone else comes to help. They dont seem to have communication as a team! I will be transferring pharmacies even if I have to pay more to not deal with this place!
Went to pick up my insulin, noticed half of the vials in my prescription had been refrigerated and the other half hadnt been. Pointed it out to the trainee that checked out my order, and then the pharmacist came up and tried telling me my insulin doesnt need to be refrigerated at all, and not to worry about it. Who knows how long my medication had been unrefrigerated before I picked it up.
They were okay for a while, but then I needed a medicine that was vital to have by a certain day. I gave them 4 days and they not only failed to get my medicine, they failed to notify me of that! I had to call them and stay on them to even know. My medicine is an opioid and is needed for pain, but it also causes withdrawals, which is why I requested it on a Friday for my need on Tuesday. So not only did they fail, but when I asked the pharmacist what can I expect from the withdrawals that Ill experience due to you guys not getting it together? instead of answering me, she denies me service and tells me to go elsewhere! How dare I ask the pharmacist a medical question regarding a situation *they caused*? If a manager sees this, the pharmacist working 11/09/21 at about 2:30pm needs to maybe not talk to people ever. If she cant handle telling me symptoms of the withdrawals that are walmarts fault, she needs training. I already hit problems at every step I take with any medical issues, a walmart pharmacist doesnt need to be another one. She can take the time to transfer my prescriptions since she wants to refuse service for me asking her a medical question related to the medicine walmart didnt notify me about being late. If you need competent, Im not so sure this is the pharmacy for you. Will update if the situation changes.Update: The DM called me back and I explained to him what happened. He took ownership of the problem and promised to fix it. As a chronic pain patient, this little step goes a long way. He provided that he would talk to the pharmacist and manager. Ill update once again when I get my next refill.
