This is really an excellent and honest shop that makes you feel content after you walk out of the store! The owner and his technicians just helped me replace all tires! Very resourceful, and professional! now I feel safe and happy!

Everytime I go here I feel as if it’s something new everytime. Last time I went which was about a week ago, the manager had showed up an hour after my appointment time that was at 11. No one could help so I had to just sit and wait for the manager to get back...When the manager came back, then my car started getting serviced. While sitting in the lobby, the manager was having a very vile conversation on the phone with a colleague. I would put what he said up on here but it’s very inappropriate. Definitely only recommend if this is the last option, there are better places with better customer service than this location.There was only one time I went where I got amazing service from two young men who were helpful and professional so the whole time but I haven’t seen them since. Just dread coming here cuz I have no where else to go that’s closer 😞

2 weeks ago i brought my jeep in because it was violently shaking and making loud sounds, they kept it for a full business day and supposedly drove it twice and checked it out and found absolutely nothing wrong, within a week of this service the brakes began to fail because the pads were completely GONE after the mechanic told me i had “brand new pads” and he didnt want to sell me new ones causing massive damage to my calipers and rotors. Do not go here.

I priced tires from multiple local stores, Michael, who is the manager in Quincy, quoted the best price for 4 tires. The service was excellent, when I picked up (90 quick minutes), he gave me a better deal. He was $240 LESS than the highest quoted price . Michael is the best manager in this location and it was a great outcome.

My husbands tire needed to be evaluated and eventually patched earlier this week. Mike & his team were responsive, kind, quick and easy to work with. They had appointments for us ranging from ASAP to end of day. The shop is clean, open and theres plenty of parking out front. Any car needs and well definitely be back! :)

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I spoke to an employee at 1:30pm EST on 6/5/21. I needed to be serviced to fix a mechanical issue (light on my dashboard that won’t come off), and to get an inspection done.When we started the call, I inquired about an appointment request I made online a day or two before. I let him know that my email confirmation said I’d receive an email shortly confirming my appointment, but that email never came. The employees exact words were “ well I’m already seeing someone at 2:30“ (my requested appt. time). I then asked, if if anybody was going to reach out to me and let me know that or set up a new appointment time. The employee asked me if I tried looking at another location or shop. I informed the employee that I wasn’t interested in being serviced at a different location because my car dealership specified that I had to be serviced at this location, because of whatever partnership they have with them.The employee then said well I can’t see you today. I asked when is the next day and time available that I can be seen. The employee then went on to say well I can’t see you until next week. I asked again when is the next day and time available next week that I can be seen. The employee then said well what are you getting done. I let the employee know there’s a light on my dashboard that won’t turn off, and that I also requested (online) to have an inspection on my vehicle done. The employee then proceeded to tell me again that the shop WOULDNT be able to service me until “late next week”. Then the employee asked what car dealership I was referring to earlier in the conversation. I let them know which one, and the employee stated “oh yeah well you’re going to have to drop that off to me anyway, and I’ll get to it when I can”...Even up until this point in the conversation, I didn’t change my tone of voice, raise my voice, I even took extra care to take pauses/ breaks in the conversation when I felt frustrated that I had been on a now 10min phone call, and still had none of my questions answered or an appointment made. I let the employee know that when I come in to get my car serviced, I’d be staying at the shop to wait, as it’s my only means of transportation, so I’d essentially be stuck there until it’s finished.. The employee then said “well I actually don’t like your attitude, so you can take your car somewhere else”. I let the employee know that if there was a hint of frustration in my tone, it was because were now on a 15min call and I still was not helped, serviced, or had any of my DIRECT questions answered. I then let the employee know that my (still) calm tone still couldn’t nor shouldn’t be confused with an “attitude” because I haven’t raised my voice, become belligerent, etc. The employee then spent another 3-4min reiterating the fact that he feels I have an attitude.. before telling me to take my car elsewhere, and hanging up on me. NOW, I have an attitude. This shop is lucky that this was a free service offered by my dealer because I would NEVER spend my hard-earned money here.. nor with the chain as a whole. I will also recommend to everyone I know to take their money elsewhere as well.

Josh is typically working the desk and hes great. Very straightforward and honest. The prices are good, and I dont feel Ive ever been pushed to do anything unnecessary. Its a good idea to ask if the have the parts in stock when you make the appointment. They dont always check, and it could save time.

I went here to get my snow tires put on, they fit me in right before a big snow storm. Josh was very helpful and polite. Turns out, my tires were worn beyond the legal limit, which he showed to me. He called around to several locations to get the snow tires for my car and the price was the same as I saw on google at other places, like Walmart. He was so patient, I was indecisive about what I wanted to do and whether to buy all season or snow tires, he went over the best options and pricing. I opted for new snow tires and the extra $100 or so for the full package, which includes lifetime free installation (mount AND balance), which will pay for itself after 2 seasons. He and his team stayed late to put the tires on and found a leaky valve (which explains the low tire pressure light going off frequently) and replaced that for $15.Also, I had been told by another shop that I needed new brakes and rotors, but Josh inspected them and confirmed the brakes are actually in good shape. He seems like a good, honest guy.

Just changed my tires, it was quick and easy it took about an hour, I took advantage of a sale going on which is buy 3 get 1 free. ( kelly brand ), I did an alignment check and they were honest I was told that I don’t need any alignment. unlike the other places.Highly recommended !!!!

We had a very poor experience at this location and I would caution others to find another provider in the area particularly if you have a tire pressure system or sensors in your tires. Weve been back to the shop four times in the last six weeks since our tires were installed in April 2020.1st revisit (two days after 4 brand new tires): Cause: Tire pressure warning. One sensor replaced after putting 4 new tires in two days before.2nd revisit (4 weeks later). Cause: Blown tire leading to a car crash with my four children in the car. There were five golf ball sized holes in the sidewall and we had to tow the car back to the shop. We asked the shop to help us identify the cause and check for any nails, screws or glass. They did not find any and said there was no clear evidence of the cause. The cost to replace the tire was $160. I was appalled and couldnt believe they didnt make an effort to acknowledge any responsibility. I had the tires replaced 35 days earlier and have driven 200 miles. When I asked them if they could do anything for us, he said he couldnt and that people usually hit pot holes or curbs and come in and lie to him all the time. I told him in good faith that if I hit a pot hole or curb, I wouldnt have even asked for shared responsibility and paid the replacement cost without hesitation. I was driving on a smoothly paved road at a low speed when the tire popped and I was towed from Center street in front of the Goodwin house in Milton (maybe the smoothest road in town) and that I hadnt hit a pot hole or curb. I was appalled, reluctantly paid the $160 to get my car back and immediately drove it to a Toyota dealer to inspect the tires and sensors before I feel comfortable driving in it again with my family. Ill continue sharing my story until the cost of the replacement is reimbursed, particularly because I feel so terrible about this entire experience.3rd revisit (one minute after picking up my car with the new tire): Cause: Tire pressure warning light. I went back in after paying the $160 and the manager explained to me it should go off after driving at 30+ mph and to bring it back if it doesnt go off. I said I dont feel comfortable leaving until its off and he started to explain to me that the problem was the engineers for these foreign cars making these terrible sensor systems and that his shop does things the way they did 30 years ago. He explained a lot more to me about his shop policies which Ill be communicating in a written letter to the company, but not relevant to the main cause of complaint for this review.4th revisit (one hour after third visit): Cause: they forgot to give us back our car registration. We got a call an hour after we picked up the car and on our way home from the Toyota dealership. The manager alerted us that they forgot to give us back our car registration so we needed to come back again. We arrived and took the registration. That made it two visits in one day.Again, just avoid this place if you value your time and money.

I dont always have time to conduct my own maintenance. This garage is very quick and efficient with what I need done. They are honest and straight forward. I did not agree with a result from an inspection I requested. So they conducted the check again, came back with more information and allowed me to make a more educated purchase for what I needed to be done. This is a chain business but they conduct themselves as a local, family friendly environment. I would recommend this location to anyone.

This place used to be great, reliable, and never overcharged. Recently its gone very downhill.I had an 8 am appointment to fix a broken headlight. I waited for an hour - they didnt even pull the car into the bay. I get told at 9am that they wont be able to work on the car until 1pm and if I could come back.Worse yet, I was going to be charged $130 for labor...changing a headlight. Theyve lost my business. There are better places nearby (like Egan Sunoco), and I highly recommend that everyone go somewhere else for their car maintenance.There are some good guys who work here, but Joshua consistently overcharges his customers.

I came here for oil change, and they took me an hour before they closed even though they were extremely busy. I was in and out in a very short period of time. Everyone was professional, friendly and didnt try to push me to buy anything extra, as other places tend to do when you just want an oil change. They are very reasonably priced and even if you dont bring a coupon they automatically honor the lowest price they have. I will definitely be coming here from now on. Give them a try, you wont be disappointed.

I left work at 4:00 to find I had a flat tire. I called AAA who arrived within 20 minutes to put my dummy tire on. I went immediately to Monro Tire where Chris patched and remounted my tire. I was on my way home before 5:00! Excellent service from all! I can’t thank you enough.

Excellent location for quick, affordable auto service. The current manager is superb. A highly effective communicator and very willing to make the customer happy. Couldnt ask for a better individual to run this location as I met at least the last four managers over the years. Dues to recent efforts this Monroe is back on the map.I highly recommend getting service here now. Definitely consider coming back if youve left due to less than desirable service.

Went in for oil change and vibration when car is going over 50 mph... Justin drove it around and suspected a bearing was loose, and found out exactly what location it is. Very helpful. One of his mechanics left the brakes slightly off (happens when you inspect the bearings) and when I called he said they’d adjust it free of charges. Good customer service.

I made an appointment for an oil change so that I wouldnt have to wait long and could return to work. I arrived 10 minutes early and the walk-in customer who was in line directly in front of me was serviced before me in my time slot. My service didnt begin until 45 minutes after my appointment time and took another 90 minutes after that for what should have been a quick 20-30 minute oil change. It seems that there is no point to making an appointment because it is still a first come, first served policy. Dont waste your time here.

I met Justin back in March when he took the store over he has made this shop into a clean and comfortable place to get service done .I know he puts the hours in to do so as well because low and behold I’ll drive by some nights and he’s still there and is always willing to stay late for any customer in need and as I am sitting in the showroom right now Justin and Patrick are staying late to finish my car . I usually don’t write reviews at all because frankly I’m to busy and just forget but I was scrolling through some of the reviews and read the only bad one he has on here I questioned him about it because like he says he’s a straight shooter so why not ask Instead of wondering what’s really true but low and behold he’s modest and says very little about it except that he had to let a technician go for drugs the other day and that he had a feeling it was a made up review he then replies the only thing I can do now is be more determined to provide excellent customer service to get more reviews to trickle that review down . Well I think that’s an excellent plan Justin and I’m sure you will succeed at that but why is it that good guys are never stood up for, So that technician who may or may not have written that review E.Lofgren you young man you should grow up and have some integrity and fix your life and stop trying to bring others down . I’ve lived in Quincy now since 2016. I began to utilize this particular Monroe branch around the beginning of 2017. The current store manager, Justin Delaney, took over the role not too long after I started utilizing this branch full time. Justin is hands down the most honest, and professional mechanic that I have encountered thus far in my life. It doesn’t stop there, he has trained his entire staff thoroughly. I have the utmost confidence in all of his tech’s abilities. I don’t ever generally review any corporate establishment, but Justin/his team earned my respect. One of the most important things in this day/age is to have a mechanic/shop you can trust. I’m grateful to be in such a position!

I almost never write reviews, but I greatly appreciated the service on my car’s brakes that I received from Justin (new manager at this location) and Pat. They were efficient, helpful (gave me a lift to my home nearby), and reasonably priced. They made what is usually a very unpleasant experience--its never fun to get hit with a surprise maintenance bill--into a pleasant one. Importantly, they genuinely seemed to take pride in their shop and their approach to customer service, which is refreshing. Well done, guys. Thank you.

I am buying a used car from a private party. I needed an inspection of car on Sunday. I reserved an appointment with them and I didnt have to wait even an extra minute for it. Not only they inspected the car but did that free of charge. Also, they mentioned that everything is fine and told me remaining life of oil, batteries etc.. great first experience. Will certainly try them again for my servicing needs :-)

Ive been here for 3 different issues:1) flat tire - they plugged it for free!2) brakes and rotors - same day service in about an hour with fair prices3) A.C. service - handled within an hour and now my A.C. blows freezing cold air !!This is our go to spot. I went to Monro today for the first time to get an oil change and it was the best service I had at any oil change place. I dealt with Justin and he was knowledgeable and very helpful, he helped me look for new tires and helped me pick out the right brand. Because of the great service I received today I will be having my tires replaced here and this will officially be the place I bring my car regularly for oil changes. I recommend EVERYONE do the same!

The mechanic on the phone was extremely kind and asked me to come down, even though they were closing soon.He was super professional and was honest and gave an estimate on the work needed. Went for an alignment, the mechanics there are okay. Alignment was not done well, to drive straight my wheel has to be a little to the left which is really annoying.There are never any times available! I try to plan a week ahead but even if, its hard to find a time. Whenever I go there for even an oil change, im told to try to make an appointment online. Whenever I do, and it shows online that the time is available, they never confirm it so it ends up not happening. I would not recommend this shop.

Terrific service. Went here after I was quoted $400+ by the dealer just to change my rotors. I wont say the price but Monroe got it done for a much fairer price. The people were nice and were quick to get me in. I called and spoke to Charlie, who was very reasonable about the price. Matt conducted the service with a smile and cheery attitude even though he was working at 9 am on Christmas Eve. Got the job done quickly and did it well. Ill be back again.

I recently brought my car for an oil change to this new (to me) shop. I never thought i would leave feeling so satisfied and comfortable about my vehicle. They have a new manager Justin who seems to have breathed new life into the shop. From the moment i walked in he made me feel respected and was hospitable. The place is okay. I believe the guys name is Josh who is the manager. He us very friendly and does the job right. My wait to change 4 tires was over 3 hours which was a bit much and it turns out psi was messed up. Front tires were inflated to 51!!! In any case. Place is ok, but you have to be careful with wait time and double checking psi.

Monro is under new management. The previous management and employees lacked the necessary skills in order to fully comply with customer needs. Charlie (Manager) is a good guy, and is very knowledgeable when it comes dealing with quality work and client satisfaction. Part changing is easy, but knowing how to fully diagnose vehicular problems while systematically alleviating further discrepancies is imperative in the repair industry. Trust Charlie, he will take care of you.

Bring my car to here for wheels balance. They told me bring in 10AM. IT take 45 mins --an hour. But It took for 3 hours. Just to do that. I’m NOT happy about it. Store supervisor come out to apologize for that. He told me short people to work today. He gave me free of charge for tires balance. Plus free oil change for next time. He will make things correct and make service better. Hopefully they do what they said. I’ll give them ONE more chance. Because we try to support local businesses.

I thought I was out of luck on a Sunday when my muffler fell to the ground. I drove home carefully and looked online all the while praying someone was open. Monro Muffler and Justin were the key to me getting back on the road. Justin came to my house and secured my muffler so I could drive to the shop in Quincy. I had my front and rear brakes done by them on my Mazda CX 5 and within 20k miles I had to have my brakes redone. They stripped the lugs, did terrible work and held my car longer then they promised it would be back. DON’T GO TO THIS PLACE!! It’s not worth the headache and money to have it done right.

I came early in the morning and they took care of my car immediately without having any appointment. the service is excellent and they advised me on additional services that my car needed which is great. I truly recommend this place!

Rick was so helpful, even staying after hours to assess the damage, taking photos for documentation, and providing us with really useful advice for how to navigate the situation. I recently moved to Quincy and was at first overwhelmed by the sheer number of auto shops in the area. Luckily I found this place based on Google reviews, and it will be my go-to place from now on. I came in for an oil change; Justin was the manager. Great experience. Quick, no nonsense, no attempt whatsoever to upsell me or recommend other replacement parts -- they just did what I wanted them to do: changed the oil, checked the tire pressure, topped off window washer fluid, checked brakes. In and out, no sleaze and no hassle.

First time here, they’re always running specials and I always drive by never giving it a second thought but today I needed an oil change and I usually go to Midas but they didn’t have any openings so I gave it a chance and very pleased the two gentlemen who helped me are super friendly and I got a great deal on my oil change! Definitely keeping them as my go to shop!

Best place to get your brakes done and muffler ask for “Justin” great store manger and he’s really nice. Kia dealership was trying to charge me a hefty amount of money for my brake. All it needed was adjustment. This place is their Best place ever.

The guys at Monro are fair and honest. If you’d been there a fews years ago and had a hard time, it’s worth checking out again. The new manager is a nice guy and he won’t hold your feet to the fire or chastise you for your car being broken.
