Good breakfast but a small place and not too fast always crowded because they got good food LOL
Ordered online. Online system didn’t properly display the pickup time so we tried to call to confirm but their phone goes straight to voicemail, which is full. Arrived less than 10 minutes later than the pickup time we chose and the food was already almost cold. Omelette was good, french toast was very mediocre, and home fries were terrible (giant chunks that were burnt on one side but still raw throughout). Not the most expensive breakfast in Quincy, of course, but you still get less than you pay for.
Great diner food and service. Endless cup of coffee, delicious corned beef hash. Glad they are serving indoors again.

Definitely a diner! Came here because of Nift. Found parking right outside, restaurant has a cool diner exterior. Cool vibe and fun music, great for a casual breakfast with a friend. Our waitress was super friendly and although the scene was pretty busy our food tasty, timely and we weren’t rushed. Enjoyed my breakfast and my friends fruit plate was freshly made. Will be returning for sure.

Amazing food. Fast and friendly and a fun experience in the little wheelhouse. Their menu options are all wonderful and they use fresh fruit and cheeses which makes everything taste that much better.
Take a step back in time, enjoy a great breakfast at a great price prepared and served by hard working people people who still take pride in what they do. Huge portions, I highly recommend the Monte Cristo!!

My last visit here was disappointing. Came in at 2:15 pm and they close at 3. Pretty much got yelled at by a waitress to not wait inside. We got our seats and ordered shortly after. At this point, its less busy but the kitchen had a hard time keeping up with the orders. We saw a bunch of other orders being made and after 15 minutes, we finally see our order on the griddle. 2 friends got the Jr which is eggs and bacon sandwiched by 2 pancakes. Eggs and bacon were fine but pancakes were way too dry/overcooked. Another friend got the burger... They had forgotten the bacon so he had to wait another 5 minutes for that. Waitress (the one that previously yelled at us) was sincerely apologetic about the bacon but now we just want our food and are short on time. I got the Eggs Florentine...also super disappointing as my poached eggs were overcooked so yolk was not runny at all. At this point, Im not going to send it back to the kitchen so I just ate it. Probably not coming back here for a while until they get their act together.

Ordered pickup, paid for extras like bacon and Hollandaise sauce on the side that I didn’t receive, also missing toast. Omelettes did not have tomato in them either as ordered. This was my go-to breakfast place until today, and this isn’t my first time having a problem with not having everything in my takeout order from them. I order for multiple people at work and it’s always a disappointment handing out everyone’s meals that have been shorted. I expect to get everything I pay for. Sure the staff is nice, and the food is decent when you get what you actually order, which is why it’s two stars instead of one.
The food is phenomenal, love the blueberry pancakes and the side sausage is HUGE, lovely staff and music is exceptional. Wouldn’t compare anything to an early morning breakfast here and being able to just listen to the sound of the kitchen bell ring

I love this place. I have been coming here since I was a kid. When Johnny is behind the grill you will have an excellent meal! My wife and I always come here and even though our kids can be a bit wild the waitresses always help us get in and out fast. The food is top notch diner and though it can be a wait, it is worth it. I get the pastrami melt with fries a lot, but it is just so good! I come here when it opens at midnight after hockey and have nice meal. Just watch out as prices increase by $2 after midnight. All in all great!

Goes by Ohlala French Toast on Doordash&Grubhub. No idea why they dont use their real name, but the address matches. Plain, tasteless potatoes as homefries, french toast with chunk of cardboard taste&texture, below average bacon. Super disappointed with my delivery.
The pancakes were burnt through and through. They even smelled burnt. The hash browns were burnt on one side and not cooked on the other. The omelet was burnt as well. Staff was rude and unapologetic. Said “call Uber”! The wait was over 45 minutes and price was $33.00. Wish I could give them 0 stars. Want to post pictures. Don’t see an area for doing so. Disgusting service and food.

I had the Prime Rib. It was cooked to order and was delicious. The waitress was pleasant and made sure we were happy. The only down side was the small parking lot. There is street parking . I was told you can park in the drugstore lot across the street.
Fantastic spot in North Quincy! We both had the Spicy Omelet with potatoes and toast, and there was more than enough food and the flavor was excellent! I can see why they had a plaque on the wall for Best Greasy Spoon!!

My fiancé and I stopped in for breakfast and sat at the bar and it was honestly perfect. The wait was short, food came out great and the staff is very friendly and efficient. I’d definitely recommend.
This place is so cute. I love the bar where you can watch someone make all the food. You get a lot of food for not a high cost. Ill definitely be going back.

I love this place! Breakfast is great, everyone is so friendly and the atmosphere and vibe is like stepping back in time. My Irish eggs benedict was fantastic, eggs were just right, hollandaise sauce was good and my favorite were the potatoes. Nothing was greasy at all and the coffee was good. I’ll definitely be going back. Haven’t tried lunch but they had a lot of choices. The menu is surprisingly extensive for a diner. Go go go for breakfast! I was there pretty early on a Wednesday morning, 7:00 am and I imagine it could get busy sometimes.
The Wheelhouse is a diner, not a restaurant flaunting itself in diner style. It caters to the working-class locals, for example by staying open through the late shift on weekends. Waitresses and bartenders, construction workers, nurses, cops and fire fighters - they all crowd the place and fill it with their banter, and their tired or meditative silence. They read the local papers over their steaming eggs and sausage. The cooks and waitresses serve up standard American fare at breakneck speed. They are friendly but no-nonsense. A couple of the waitresses regularly sing along, not unpleasantly, with the radio, which they play loud - usually classic rock or nineties alternative from the Emerson College station. The place is clean and utilitarian, the food cheap and fresh and traditional. If this is what you like in a diner, you wont find a better example. Quintessential.

Driving through Quincy to Cape Cod. We find this iconic place of The Wheelhouse. What a stroke of fortune! My breakfast burrito with the side of best fried potatoes I ever had. My wifes club sandwich and sister-in-law burger was awesome! This road dinner is a must stop for out of towners. Quincy residence are so blessed.
A Hidden Gem located in North Quincy.I had a perfect and Awesome Hawaiian Omelette with great Ham, Pineapple and American Cheese. The Chef worked like a well tuned Machine with help from his Kitchen Crew. ANNE the waitress was Great. The Wheelhouse Dinner Must Go to Place. So put it in your G.P.S. and just Go.🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
I think its pretty safe to say that Wheelhouse is in the top 3 places for breakfast in Quincy area. The food is great! Its very much a diner so coking is done right in front of you. The servers are always welcoming, and the prices are unbeatable. I have been going there every so often for about 3 years and I love it!

Love this local diner!!!! One of my top favorite breakfast places! I love coming here for their Portuguese Steak Breakfasts. Always prepared the way I like and with a slab of juicy ham and eggs on top, its the best way to have a steak in the morning. The cook and the staff are always so friendly and nice. Sometimes all their seats are taken but this place is worth the wait! Great food, big portions, and even better prices!
I loved the layout - classic American style. Food was average I thought. Service was slow. Staff were nice and it seemed to attract many locals.
Came super late because they started preparing the order super late. When it came it was not that warm and the portion size sucked. The taste was okay not really worth it

This is an EXCELLENT diner! It is very tiny, only about 6 tables and 10 or so bar style seats but worth the wait. I got the Quincy Adams, which is essentially Eggs Benedict, 2 poached eggs on an English Muffin with healthy turkey breast. It comes with a side of chunky home fries on the large side (light on the seasoning, which was quickly upgraded with salt and pepper). Coffee is great. My boyfriend got the butterscotch pancakes which were So Good. High quality diner food, the staff is amazing. The cook is a wiz, able to prepare multiple plates simultaneously. 5 stars!

Was home for a friends funeral and planned on going to the Wheelhouse Diner. It was storming outside there was no parking so we were unable to get inside but I have been there many times its always been delicious and a good value for your money. I will try again when I go home next time

How can a diner be out of both hash and home fries? A storm a few days before closed one of their suppliers. Very disappointing. Luckily, we visited for a late breakfast on a weekday. We had no trouble getting a table. From the looks of it, there are times where there is a long wait. I guess well have to return to get a taste of their hash.
This place used to be so much cheaper. Food quality went down a little bit as well, and the prices went SO UP! (Bought out by a new manager) Definitely not worth it. Specifically I used to love the Turkey Gobbler sub, but now its $11 and the turkey is grossly dry, bread is always stale. Balduccis pizzeria down the street has a way better turkey dinner sub thats bigger and cheaper too.
The food here is SO good you almost dont mind the surly but efficient service it comes with. Be prepared for a wait most times. As it is very tiny and fills up quickly. Still worth it.

We were looking around for a place to eat breakfast and found this little place. Its a small diner but dont let that fool you. The food was excellent. Everything is fresh and I highly recommend the hash. They allow cook the brisket every morning.
Tiny and grimy. Decorated in 1958 style. Service is a little slapdash if they dont know you by name. Food is OK and very cheap. Love this place and plan to return often

Decent food, service leaves much to be desired.Update 2021: food still good, service even worse. I ordered eggs and a waffle, everything came out fine, but for some unexplained reason the waffle took so long that we paid the bill and were on our way out the door before it came out. Waitress was not very friendly, or helpful.
