Been in the aquarium hobby for a while and I recently started frequenting here for my fish and supplies. Theyre great help for beginners as well as experienced hobbyists if youre talking to the fish department folks. Great fair prices on freshwater and marine aquaria. They recently setup a qt system for wild caught marine fish which makes me happy to know they care about the fish Theyre selling. They also medicate tanks when problems arise and do a great job maintaining their tanks. Additionally, they purchase from ORA and Biota which is why their corals are more of a premium. I firmly stand behind these more sustainable ways of sources fish and corals.

Nice supply of fish, fresh and salt, and it appears they keep their Betta fish in some kind of filtered water which is a plus in my book. However, only 2 stars because the puppy and kitten sales need to go. The prices are ridiculous; who would actually FINANCE their pet?! If you are going to pay that much, wouldnt you deal with the breeder directly, and see the parents and living conditions before choosing.

Such a lovely pet store. We drove from IL to get our guinea pig here. We have had bad luck with fish and small animals from the local pet store chains. Loved the environment here. All of the animals are easily seen and you can socialize with them. The staff was all super friendly and knowledgable. We adore our new family member! He is healthy, vocal, and growing quickly!

My experience was just sad and bad. I set up a appointment to view a husky puppy the other day. I was working with Natalie. She explained to me the pricing and kinda how financing worked. I have what is considered a great credit score. When she ran my information she had told me I wasnt approved. And it was really bazaar because of the house I live in and such other things I have got approved for etc anyways.I had asked her if she could look into it for me and she called her people behind the scenes and comes back and me and says yes they said you have amazing credit but still couldnt tell me why I wasnt approved of course I didnt want to come out of pocket if I did not have to. Further she gave me no information on anything or as to why but left us high and dry. It just didnt make sense maybe I shouldve tried working with someone else. I dont know. Very disappointed.

I was greeted by very warm staff that all seemed to love their jobs and take excellent care of all the potential pets they have for sale. It was hard to not fall in love with the adorable variety of puppies. I liked the individual petting areas where I could sit alone divided from others getting to know my own animal. Very impressed with Petland!

I had the privilege of working with Deanna and she was AMAZING. very knowledgeable and kind, she made me feel very comfortable and was very helpful. She helped me get the puppy that fit my family and we are very happy about our newest addition to the family.

Unless youre buying an overpriced dog they dont really pay attention to you. I only go there for the bulk ferret food, and was once coerced by a poor ferret to save it from some other very aggressive (one bit a little kid really hard) ferrets.

All there animals have ailments of some sort or another. Also free for people to reach in and touch regardless of whether they knew how to handle said animal. Fish didnt look to bad however; many of them had ick.

Is this the only store in the State allowed to not price their products? Sign states 60% off this particular dog. 60% off of what?So I see this pup is getting older and pretty big. I ask how much?The breed is irrelevant. But with a straight face, I was told full price is $7000.00. So I would get 60% off that. A quick Google search showed the average price at 800 to 2000. So at 60% off, I still pay more then the amount for a high end.But you get accessories too. It better be $4000 worth. Someone needs to make them have posted prices. Otherwise I have no proof. I am either getting a discount or getting ripped off. There is no excuse to not price everything. Things change, so then adjust the price.

One star for friendly staff- not their fault for the issues this place has. Lost the other stars because those poor dogs are kept on wire floors and are extremely overpriced. We were told $7,500 for a mixed breed dog... I found a breeder who I purchased a purebred from for $1,700. Dont jump into purchasing a dog from this place just because theyre cute- there are breeders who care for their dogs properly while also maintaining the well being of the dog rather than the turnover value they receive. Do your research and be patient!

Katelyn was very helpful and knowledgeable about the puppies we were interested in. She was great at suggestions for what supplies we needed. I highly recommend setting up an appointment, as the store was very busy. Were so excited to add a new furbaby to our family! This is Jax!

Went here with my daughter.. the young girl that took care of us seemed like she didnt want to help us. I wanted to see a puppy she said he wasnt ready yet and like completely dismissed helping us. Gave us two puppies for my daughter to play with, she looked irritated by my daughter. Some kids have disabilities and I wish someome working in this type of store would understand that. Granted this is the second time I would have bought a puppy here. She doesnt have customer service skills, short Hispanic girl. 😢 (she didnt even tell us her name) my husband and I were disappointed when we left. I will take the 8k we would have spend on the dog and take my daughter to Disney. I think she would have a better experience there.

I used to love this store, it was the only petstore that I trusted in the area.But... yesterday that I went to buy crickets and a plant for my aquarium, the store had a bad smell, the aquarium plants were not very healthy and the salt water tanks didnt look as clean as they used to.The wost was seeing 2 puppies in a small enclosure. Some puppies had peed and pooped inside the enclosure and they were smelling and liking each others poop 😖🤢🤮.Today the crickets that were in 2 different clean habitat, with food. Had almost half of the crickets dead. It is normal for the crickets to die, but not so many the next day.

My first time visiting. I was always curious about this place. So many adorable puppies that need homes. I sure hope these arent mill dogs. 😥

Questionable capabilities of staff. I accidently left my wallet on a shelf in the store. When I came back the store was closed. I came back the next day shortly before opening time and told an employee who was opening the shop that I left my wallet inside the day before. She quickly closed the door behind her and went inside to look leaving me outside for about 20 minutes. She then returned and said it wasnt there. I then said to her why didnt you ask me where I left it? I told her what shelf it was on she went straight to it, got it and brought it off to me and said she was sorry.

Do your homework before going in. I’m convinced Petland uses unreliable breeders or puppy mills. What a soulless scam. Went in to look for a bulldog and they were all too eager to allow me and my daughter to play with it, but reluctant to talk price. That should have been the first sign. When the price came, it was easily 3 to 4 thousand dollars over another local breeder. Their style is to allow families to get acquainted, and obviously emotionally invested in the animal before hitting you with the price tag. When I asked to talk with my wife privately, the employee stated, “talk about what?” The manager came over to ask me about my “price range” which sounds like a smarmy car dealer. Do yourself a favor and do your homework. Buy from a reputable breeder not these scam artists.

Took awhile, but got a cat. I usually go through a breaker, but my daughter fell in love with little boys temperament.

You come in and let them have your ID, and then you can play with puppies! FOR FREE! I loved it so much. I loved the birds I loved the ferrets and I loved the big tortoise that lives there. Its a really cool store, and I think there should be many more like it.

I know these people get their puppies from puppy mills in the south, and over price them...It’s wrong! I also love going here to look at purebred puppies of all breeds and to be able to see all types of animals. They typically have many animals to choose from, and are always happy to let the pups out to play. In addition to the reputation of puppy mills and over priced pups, the pups are kept in closed kennels for a few months (until sold) and do not have opportunities to go out for walks to be potty trained-this can be problematic for the owners. Dogs that should have been potty trained at their age are going home pissing on floors. There’s the good then bad and the ugly about this chain, however, I have to still give it a 4 for the fact that you can come here to relax and sit with a puppy (or puppies) for as long as your heart desires.

Purchased a drastically over priced Morkie who had a cough that was supposedly kennel cough but was later diagnosed as bronchitis hundreds of dollars later. Have requested a refund for the cost of the treatment because of course they push for you to purchase their warranty only so they can give you a laundry list of things the warranty doesn’t cover! Sorely disappointed that my pet suffered due to their negligence and highly annoyed that no one is even attempting to refund the cost I incurred!

8k for this baby Cavapoo. What set me off from purchasing him was the lady on the phone explaining the price of the puppy and why he was priced that much, was saying it like I couldnt afford the baby. Just the aditude and pumpus tone was off putting.I can afford this baby, but just the rude customer service set me off. Should have stuck with adopting rather than shopping. Wouldnt have experience such rude service.I hope this lady wont hinder other buyers, becuase this cavapoo is the cutest baby.

We got our second beagle puppy from here 5 and a half years after the first. Our first beagle turned out so exceptional, we just had to return for number 2. My sales associate was MJ, she was so knowledgeable it surprised us. Wise beyond her years.They have at least 8 staff members on hand at all times to make sure the dogs get good care.I am one of the cheapest, most difficult customers ever. I ended up talking to Adam, the general manager, he was the epitome of good management. I felt very well taken care of after an emotional experience.Lastly was Natalie, the sales floor lead, and she was a notch above the rest (which again is a VERY high bar). Extremely accommodating and far beyond professional.This place can sometimes have a bad reputation, and I promise none of it is true. They are certified well beyond any breeder, and the amount of employees running around shows the level of care.There are more employees Id like to call out, which I didnt even deal with. Such as, an African American girl with shorter hair. Watching her deal with her customers, out of the corner of my eye, really gave me a good feeling. We were greeted and asked if we needed assistance, even after being in the store for an hour. Each time it was so respectable and innocent, that the love was felt.Thank you Petland for another great experience.

Great selection of dogs. I was so interested in buying a puppy until I saw the $7,000 price tag. I could get the same puppy for $2,000 from a much more reputable breeder and I can spend a few days there to see how they run things. Here you are not allowed to know where they came from.

If I could give them no star I would. My daughter wanting a puppy with her savings purchased the cheapest puppy that she could afford and they sold her a puppy that is sick, we got her on 4/13 and shes been to the hospital twice. First time puppy was malnourished and dehydrated. Dont trust them. Yes I am also looking into legal rights. Business Bureau or someone should get involved.

I feel like I have to leave this review because of how uncomfortable I truly felt at my visit today! We are looking to add to our family and went looking for an Aussie, while playing with some we asked a price and they were $5,000 on Sale! 🤯 My aunt in Iowa just bought one for $650 registered and vet approved with updated shots! When telling them we are just going to wait because we refused to pay that much we were approached by two staff members asking a million questions at once about why we would want to go somewhere else when their puppies came with a kennel and lifetime “warranty” I’m not looking to benefit later in life once we lose our pup, we just want a companion for our family! It made my boyfriend and I extremely uncomfortable to say the least! Cute puppies, just very pushy and uncomfortable staff! I don’t think we will be returning unfortunately.

A great overall place to get your 1st puppy or next best friend. They have a lot of breeds of dogs arranging from French Bulldogs to Germany Sheppard to whatever is in stock at the current time. The puppy I was playing with doesnt really have a name I just called him Au Ju... funny right but he is a great looking puppy that runs about 6000 for a pure breed dog. So check the store out for yourself to see.

I sometimes step into Petland just to see what kind of dogs they have available. Im a firm believer in not buying a dog from Petland and today I was kind of more than unhappy seeing the dogs. They had all breed mixtures three dogs to a cage, there was no way to tell what kind of dogs they were there were no markings on the cage or on the window or anywhere. I did ask one of the staff members what breed one of the puppies was and was told. When asking about the cost of the puppy it was inflated to about three times the normal cost, when asked why that was I was told the puppies are in high demand right now because a lot of people are working from home. Thats a very good point however what are these puppies going to do when and if the owners go back to work. Im sure another reason why the Overflow of puppies today was because of the holiday season which again makes me so sad when people buy puppies for Christmas.

I went in to the store on Friday the 07/26/2019 to purchase two dwarf frogs for my aquarium. As the person who was helping me was getting the frogs out she had to keeping checking to make sure one of them was alive. I was a concerned but she said that he was alive and that he was probably in shock from being moved, said that it happens all the time. We left shortly after that, when I got back to my apartment, my friend noticed that there was some fuzzy stuff on one of the frogs back legs and along his back. She told me that her axolotl got something similar and that it looked like a fungus. We did some research we discovered that the frog had a fungus infection and needed to be quarantined. I looked up what I could do to help and I got frog safe fungus medicine and did what I needed to, to give him a chance. Unfortunately later that day we found him belly up and struggling. I turned him over and kept a eye on him. Sadly, a day later he was stiff and unresponsive. I am disappointed that Petland is selling frogs in that condition and with infection most times they are contagious. With that Frog being with so many others in the tank at the store, it is concerning.

The store has a wide variety of pets and supplies. They are high pressure sales pitches. We did walk out with a cute bunny. The worker was very knowledgeable of bunnies and other small animals.

I purchased my dog here about three years ago and since, especially in the last year there has been health issue and after health issue. Turns out he has a congenital malformation that was not disclosed to me when I bought him. I will be looking into my legal rights. Do not buy a dog here. I know theyre cute but please for the sake of your mental health, finances and stress, do not buy these puppies.

Cute pups but I wouldnt trust the sources. Went in with my boyfriend last weekend and saw a woman playing with one of the merle colored French Bulldogs they had available. I overheard the sales rep telling her that merle Frenchies are rare and that theirs are purebred and because of those two special factors it would cost $10,000 for the full puppy package or $5,000 if she just wanted the dog itself. OUTRAGEOUS! NO RESPECTABLE OR ETHICAL BREEDERS PRODUCE MERLE FRENCHIES. To even get a merle Frenchie you have to breed it one of two ways: The first way is to take a purebred Frenchie and a dog that naturally does carry the merle coloration (such as a Chihuahua) and breed them together. Then the offspring of that pairing is bred with another purebred Frenchie in order to get a dog that maintains Frenchie features while still having the merle color. Technically, because the direct parents are both Frenchies (even though the grandparents werent) you could try to claim the dog is purebred even though it really isnt. The second way, which is heinous, is to directly breed two merle Frenchies together but the issue with that is merle to merle parents result in what is considered a lethal white dog and puppies of such parents have been documented to be as high as 86% blind, deaf, or deformed (even if its not visible or fully developed straight away). In fact, having double merle parents has also been linked to allergies, autoimmune disorders, organ defects, neurological defects, and even premature death. A quick google search will tell you these facts - seriously, first link and everything. Either way you slice it a merle Frenchie is not purebred or rare and it is horrible of Petland to claim that they are in order to up sales. I would hate for an unassuming buyer to spend so much money on what they would be falsely led to believe is a safely bred and healthy puppy only to shortly be blindsided by incredibly high vet bills, or worse, the premature death of their new little family member. So remember, always research an animal before buying and if you can its best to... ADOPT DONT SHOP!

Animals are beautiful! The workers are very polite, and helpful, but very overpriced on everything. I asked how much was a Corgi, the worker said $8100! A professional breeder charges $500! You would have to be very rich to overpay for an animal there!

Excellent service, seamless adoption process, and answered all of our questions without hesitation. We werent exactly planning on adopting today, but were thrilled to take this puppy home with us.

It was really busy. I worked with a woman named Trinity and she was so awesome! She knew he stuff and knew little personality traits of each puppy. We brought home a Cavapoo and named her Mazzi. She’s so sweet and chill! My only complaint is that she was very dirty, matted fur and her eyes were full of gunk from not being wiped away.

The pets don’t even have blankets or toys! Just stuck in plastic boxes with grate floors! Aren’t even fed enough because the aggressive puppy eats all! The puppies are also over priced! Don’t buy from here!

We purchased a mini goldendoodle puppy here in October 2020, she’s the best decision we have ever made. Is it pricy? Yeah, but they give you additional items and food along with the puppy. The process was easy, and we knew when we met her she had to be a part of our family! Make an appointment online or you won’t be able to meet the pups!

I only gave one star for my experience. The lady on the floor was pleasant to talk with. That’s the only reason I gave one star. I had a coupon which I didn’t know wasn’t to be used on dog food. Natalie was ringing my order up, and she became upset and defensive when I asked her why the coupon didn’t work for the order. I didn’t read the fine print it was my fault. She then told me there are coupons out there that would take money off food, but it they are hard to find because their prices are already priced as low as they can. My friend was with me and asked after I was finished paying the bill, what breed of dog a puppy was. She flat out stated she could not see the puppy from where she was. No offer to answer questions. I really was shocked about the treatment I received there. I normally meet polite positive employees when I am in Petland. Today was not one of those days, I pray the next time I have to go in there Natalie is in a better mood.

We had a very good experience with the staff at Petland. We purchased a puppy and they were very professional and so thorough in addressing all our needs and concerns. Our pet counselors MJ and Alex were very knowledgeable, helpful and patient, as well the Manager Deanna that made our purchase worry-free. They were very caring about helping us find a good match for our family. I highly recommend this place for all your animal needs.

I dont agree with the puppy sales and the outrageous amount they charge. I feel like a lot of people make it an impulse buy because the pups are so cute.

If you are looking for supplies this would be a great place to look. However if you are interested in a puppy you are looking at paying a huge markup on the pets there. Ive seen dogs marked up 2-3k$ compared to buying directly from a breeder that can offer the same guarantees. If you want to buy a dog for 4k$ when you could buy one elsewhere for 1k$ or 2k$ from a breeder then this would be the place for you. They will even let you finance the overprice pups so you can pay interest on it.

Dogs are in disgusting condition and they lie about where they get puppies from which they get from a puppy mill and the puppy will underlying conditions they will not tell you about. They’re extremely over priced too!

I read the comments and decide to go pet them and not to buy. Here is the price the dogs I pet were 3800$. We saw some cats male 1700$ female 2600$. Rabbits 200$. The animals are all cute any where you go. I raised purebred before and they are not this expensive. Don’t be stupid and even go financing for a pet. I would only spend 2000$ for a pure bred puppy of normal kinds. 1000$ for cat. No certificates.

Unfortunately with all their combined staff it still feels very unorganized in here.
