Met a friend for breakfast...next time Ill split it with a friend! Wow! Servings were really generous and the food was served hot, fast and was delicious! The hash browns were not as crispy as I like, but they were perfect reheated with the other half of my very good breakfast!
Its not a bad place. I like the atmosphere, and generally the staff are very nice, as are prices. But the food here is lacking quite a bit, and everytime Ive come here its been soggy, cold, ect. Edible, but not somewhere Id want to go again

Had breakfast from here and it was far from appetizing. I had the meat lovers skillet and the bacon Belgium waffle. The bacon in the skillet was rubbery and looked like it wasnt even cooked thoroughly..the cheese was not even melted, there was way too much ham and the egg was dry and just slapped on top. The breakfast sausage was just ok. I couldnt even finish it. The waffle was alright, but all in all, breakfast was not enjoyable for me. They have potential to be really good, the Cooks just need to put in a little more effort when making food for the paying customers.
Prices have gone up which is understandable to some extent. I found a hair in my food which was very obviously not mine. I was not able to finish my meal. I brought it to the attending of the waits and she just said oh. I got the bill and there was no adjustment or anything. I went to the counter to pay and was asked how everything was. I said good until I found a hair in it. Again the response was just oh. There was no compensation for that, partial compensation, or even an apology. I couldve thrown a fit and demanded compensation, but in a customer service industry and especially trying to stay in business in a pandemic, I shouldnt have to ask. It had been a while since Ive been here and, after this experience, I will not be returning.
Ordered a $10 omelet paid 1750 because I added onions and tomatoes and changed pancakes to tortillas.. Called the owner said hed refund me 1.80 for tortilla swap. Umm I would have no ordered here for this price. Highway robbery. Will not be back. Said as much to which his reply is ok!

Food was not good, no flavor at all and eggs were dry. Our waitress was really nice and new. She accidentally charged another table for something she shouldnt have and they brought it up to the owner who was taking their bill. The owner went off on the waitress in front of everyone and was making a big deal, embarrassing the lady. The customers didnt go up there mad or anything, they just mentioned it and wanted it fixed. Seeing the culture there, I dont plan to go back to them.
Food was excellent! (Like always). Friendly staff and friendly owners. It was busy and service was perfect. This team seems to work very well together! Thank you for another great experience.
Good atmosphere, fast service. Lemon rice soup is the BEST. In the medium price range as far as breakfast food goes.
Stopped in this morning to catch some breakfast. I ordered the steak and eggs The steak was juicy and delicious. The eggs were scrambled and fluffy, the pancakes were divine. This restaurant always provides excellent coffee no matter the time of day that youre going. If you happen to stop in on a Sunday its well worth trying the lemon chicken soup.
1950s fun friendly atmosphere makes this a very relaxing restaurant UPDATE: I may have been a little hard on the fish fry review on my first visit because i had a preconceived idea of what I expected, I went back with an open mind and enjoyed this dinner, I rarely am satisfied on course coleslaw I like mine finely shredded but the good thing here is its home made and has good flavor, tartar sauce seems to be homemade, I like mine a tad sweeter but thats personal preference but this ones good too, they have a great breakfast also Ive been here about 10 times for that, do check this gem out, good amount of seating.

Met a friend for breakfast. Promptly seated, good social distancing. Coffee brought promptly(with a small pot) kudos! Food arrived quickly and was very good. Would return!
Don’t bother wasting your time or money. My daughter mentioned that her biscuits and gravy were sweet. They took her plate to the owner who tasted it and felt the need to come tell her she was wrong. They offered her a different meal which came with black toast. Then then proceeded to blatantly stare at us the whole time we ate. When the bill came they had the nerve to charge us for the inedible food. I Will NEVER come back.
Fun, classic diner, with great food and service.
Food wad OK. We had a large group of people. We were hoping to all sit together but were seated at two different tables. This was a disappointment.
My first time at Douglas Diner was for Father’s Day. My dad preorder 3 of the Father’s Day specials which was, a 10oz ribeye, garlic mashed potatoes, wedge salad, and a piece of cheesecake. The steak was 1” thick and 3-4oz of it was total fat. The garlic mashed potatoes were dry, no garlic taste, and very thick brown gravy. You can’t really mess up a wedge salad, and the cheesecake was Eli’s. Coffee was extra. The total bill with tip was $122. I don’t have a problem paying for good food, but this meal was worth $15, at best. I could have gone to the American Club in Kohler, and had superior food for what I was charged at Douglas Diner. I know it’s a diner, but how did they ever come up with this price?

Greatest clam chowder Ive ever had and they have perch fish fry. A rare find. Only drawback, they close at 2 pm.
The owner has no ettiquete and we will not be having our combat Veteran lunches there. Waitstaff is the only thing keeping business tolerable

I ordered online. They gave me a pickup time. I arrived 15 min early and my order was already on a table by the door. When I got home the food was cold and not prepared the way I ordered it if I had come in at the pick up time it would have been really cold because the leave the orders right by the door. When I called and told then it was cold he got angry with me and hung up on me. I will not return to that restaurant.

Was seated at 12:05 on Friday January 1, 2021. My order was taken at 12:25. I waited 20 minutes for my waitress. When she didn’t come I spoke with the hostess who got me another waitress immediately.What bothered me greatly was that she ignored my waving to hat plus she waited on two people who sat down after me.I don’t know, was my brig Hispanic have anything to do with the igniting me?I have been here before and service was quick.
I heard a lot of good things about the Douglas Ave. Diner and was not disappointed. It is a fun restaurant with great food. The staff was extremely friendly. Waitress very helpful.Many more things to look at than I had expected. Great 50’s style restaurant. Elvis was in the house! 🤗I will be returning with friends, so they can experience the atmosphere and food.

They refuse to honor their gift certificates UNLESS YOU EAT INSIDE!!! No where on the certificate does it say that and with everything going on concerning Covid you’d think they would be appreciative of even getting any business whether inside or pickup especially since it’s been reported that some of their employees don’t always have masks on. I guess they feel that AFTER certificates are purchased they can make up whatever restrictions they want to on them. Lost our business for good because of these deceptive business practices.
This was first time eating at this restaurant and it was good.They seem to have a nice selection to choose from and what I ordered came out in a timely manner.

Normally I am very happy with the service and food quality here. I cant say the same for me recent online pickup order. We waited half an hour last the pickup time, meanwhile I stood and watched while they catered to the door dash and grub hub drivers before the customer that actually spent the time/ money to come to them personally. After all this I get home and find smaller portions of everything and both dishes we ordered had none if the sauces that are supposed to come with them. If you go there during this time check your orders at least and dont expect it to be fast.

Ordered curbside pick up. It was ready when the said it would be. I had a omelet with gyro meat, onion and feta cheese. It was delicious!

I have to start out by saying that I previously rated this restaurant last year and only gave it 1 star because my first experience was less than enjoyable. Recently I decided that I should give this place a second chance, so I dined their a few times over the past several of months. I am extremely happy in my decision because each time my dining experience was absolutely delightful. The food was delicious, the service was top notch and my order was served in a timely fashion. I would now definitely recommend dining here if you have not yet had the pleasure. The restaurant is also the perfect place to bring family and friends. You dont have to take my word for it, check them out and discover for yourself. You know you want to. 🙃👍👍

A nice, classic diner in a good neighborhood. Food was good and service was great. I have been going here a couple of times a year for quite some time and they have always been accommodating to our rather large group.Overall it is just a nice place to visit where everyone is friendly and the food is good.

Update: ESPECIALLY SINCE THESE ARE NOT NORMAL TIMES, YOU RECTIFY THE SITUATION AND NOT HAVE SOMEONE OVER PAY FOR SOMETHING THAT THEY DID NOT RECEIVE AFTER YOU SAY THAT YOU WILL CALL THEM BACK!!Messed up my $60 order, and I only received half of it. I called 3 times and got hung up on. I was told that I would receive a call back which I never got. I was a regular that did business 2-3 times a week. Loss my business for good now.

Always a fantastic experience! The service is excellent. The waitresses are attentive without hovering. I like going for lunch knowing I will be able to take something home and have TWO great meals from the Diner.
