Very authentic shopping destination for African products and spices. Owed by a Nigerian-Igbo business man. I asked the reason for naming his establishment “Kola Nut” and he told me it represented the act of being welcome and respected. Very honorable I thought and thanked him. They have meat, fish and a wide variety of seasoning and vegetables. It’s a bit pricy compared to other places but also affordable. I absolutely recommend.

They do have a wide variety of different African foods, veggies, items. As an African woman,I did not feel Welcome there though,It was two Men who did more looking at me up and down, while being brutally judgmental perhaps at an unconscious level. All I know is that, there was more staring( which is very rude) than welcoming a customer. I felt like black people treat each other more harshly than they do other races. If am willing to spend my money in your over priced store, the least you can do is be respectful to a customer. I feel they are lacking in this area. They need customer service training emergently

This store has authentic spices, drinks and food. I am happy I a tumbled on to it. I am a big fan of a Moringa juice drink made with ginger. It is one of my favorite and I can’t find it anywhere in Raleigh, but here. This place is a local treasure

I did not feel welcome at the store at all. The woman who I believe was one of the owners made me and my sister feel as if we werent African enough to be there. Its sad that people cant learn and embrace their heritage without being judged by their very own people. I was extremely disappointed. And though I will never turn my back on my heritage you may push others away with this attitude!!

They have the most incredible fabric patterns. The employees were helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. The location makes it easy to find and access. I did not look at the food options though.
