Purchased two counter height chairs 6 years ago when I first moved to Durham. Went back to purchase counter stools for my new home. They offer a wide selection of styles and fabrics, but due to COVID-19 production and shipping has been delayed. I ordered the stools early in July and I just received them October 8th.

My husband and I ordered a beautiful kitchen island. Though it took a while to receive (not their fault) they were great with setting initial expectations and communication along the way. Our item came as expected and in perfect condition. It was a wonderful experience overall.

The folks who own and work at this store are very experienced and we’re most helpful with all our questions. They have the most beautiful collection of furniture around.

Thanks to Barstools & Dinettes we find the stools we need for our island. We visit them Saturday, they got the inventory on hand the same day. Great Service and we assembly at home all hardware was completed and all was perfect!!!Until next time ...strongly recommended!!!

We recently purchased the Franklin table and 6 Hanover chairs in cherry with Kara finish. We are beyond happy with our purchase. The table is beautiful and chairs are the most comfortable we’ve ever had! The quality is wonderful and I know we will own this for a long, long time! The sales staff were helpful, friendly (and patient!) as we looked at all the different styles, table/chair combinations and finish choices. I would highly recommend Barstools and Dinettes!

Our daughter in Raleigh bought six new barstools and when we sat on them we thought they were the most comfortable we had ever tried. We ordered three and not only were they very comfortable, the style was tops also. In a few months I noticed a small mount of stitching at an upper corner of one back support was coming loose. I called to enquire if there was someone who could repair the stitching. They checked with the manufacturer who said it was better not to replace stitching, they would replace the entire cushion. I took the barstool to their business and the entire back was swapped out, not only the cushion. I call this level of service going the second mile and standing behind what they sell.

I cant say enough great things about Barstools and Dinettes. From how nice they all are to the great service, I can only praise them. Everything showed up as promised (and as selected). There was a small issue with one of the tabletops. I called them up and within two weeks THEY called ME (I didnt even have to follow up with them). They had a new tabletop delivered and installed in my home. Good as new. I would recommend this business to everyone.

We purchased our counter stools from them and went back to get end chairs for our table. They seem to have every type of chair/counter stool/bar stool you can think of. They havelovely tables and other dining furniture too. Robin was very helpful each time we went and never pressured us. We had to drive an hour each of the four times we went and it was well worth it.

Needed a couple simple counter-height bar stools. Went to the store, where there is a wide selection of styles to see and try. I was able to work with someone and quickly selected a style fit my needs. The staff have always been very professional and helpful. They have a large inventory but the staff were very well versed on styles, colors, etc availability. It will always be my first stop when I am chair or table shopping.

This is a designers paradise! Ive purchased three tables here and with each one I was able to select the wood, the size, the design of the table legs, the design of the chairs, and the upholstery on the chairs. The customer service is outstanding - everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable.

We were looking for three barstools for our kitchen island. We found LOTS to choose from at Barstools & Dinettes. The staff (and owner) couldnt have been more helpful. We sat on at least a dozen different stools, some of which had to be pulled down from upper shelving ... no problem. They were also ready sooner than we were originally told ... another plus. Very comfortable, stylish and excellent quality products.We were so happy with our purchase that we recommended B&D to our new neighbors and they also bought there kitchen island stools here.

A rude manager says they will match a price got 2 lower prices then claim they won’t match anyone’s prices. Same exact set with a 5 year warranty was 700.00 less at south land furniture do your homework before you buy

I would have to give them 4 stars on selection and customer service. I thought $350 and up for a bar stool was pricey. They do offer options you dont have elsewhere, such as color of the frame and type and color of seat material. The gentlemen pointed out most are Americans or Canadian made. I just dont see them being competitive especially when you consider all the online options.

Great family-owned business, tops in customer service. You should try this place if you havent been. You can do custom-designed dining sets at quite reasonable prices. My table & chairs were delivered today and I love them! Seems like it would be a designers dream; I brought mine with me.

Great selection of chairs, and they come in a variety of shades and styles that you can custom order. Very helpful employees. The downside is that you have to wait several weeks to get your order to your home.

Waited 5 weeks to receive our barstools. Went to the store to pick them up. Came home to put them together - surprise, they were welded improperly. We then had to drive back to the store to return the defective merchandise and wait another 5 weeks for the new stools. We asked if we could borrow one of the floor displays to give us something to sit on during the interim - no dice. This was for a ~2,000 purchase. Completely unhelpful people, totally unsympathetic or willing to do anything to help smooth things over. Would never buy here again.

Very helpful and friendly staff but beware, there is a NO RETURN POLICY. I asked for countertop bar stools but the 3 they sold me are too tall. Doesnt help that I am 62. Countertop bar stools should be 24 high. These are 26 high. Very frustating and a big waste of money.
