We needed a coast guard approved life jacket for our kid, something that we can trust to float and will fit well. Got to the store, were directed to what we needed and were in and out in 10 minutes. Great experience.

In June I applied for one of the assistant manager positions and was offered the job by Ms. Wainright, which I accepted. I received an email to fill out all the employment paperwork and I completed all forms within a few days. I was suppose to start the second week of July. When I called for my schedule, they said Ms. Wainright would call me back. I have not heard back from anyone. Is that how you should treat potential employees. I’m sorry to share drama like this, but people should know how they operate at the Raleigh West Marine Store!

Convenient place to get boat stuff.

Ordered a hydraulic steering fitting, one week in and still no shipping info just a note that says could be delayed because of covid. Already purchased from another vendor and repaired the boat. I was told I cant cancel my order because it is shipping but still no shipping info. They let me know I could return to the nearest store 2 hours away. I guess I can pay shipping again to send back if it ever comes.

Great place for those hard to find items. They have a very good selection considering the size of the store. They are a little expensive but you get what you pay for. Never any issue with the items I buy from them. They are conveniently located in the middle of the greater Raleigh area and parking is good. Would not recommend having your boat with you, parking isnt that good.

Not only do they lack basic knowledge of their products but their extremely overpriced selection is very limited.. I highly recommend not shopping here

I have never been in the store where I was not greeted at least once, asked if I needed help and treated like a valued customer. Every time. No they are not the low price leader but I understand that it cost money to have a store front and I am very thankful they are here.

From sail boats to power West Marine has it.I needed a simple part for a fuel line connector other places may have had it,but I new West Marine would have itThere have a very good selection marine radios too.I needed some rigging for a sail boat years ago they had it.so dont waste your time wondering if a place has itWest Marine has your partHigh quality ropes and life vest, your life depends on it.Even some boat attire too.

Big selection and knowledgeable staff. Order online and have your parts delivered to the store if they dont stock what youre looking for. Shop for prices on supplies though...I found caulk and other easy to find items cheaper on Amazon.

Absolute the worst place... I had a product on hold and was driving from an hour away. There was a wreck on capital and I called and asked if they could stay open for 5 min so I could get there. No way I saw them coming out and they told me sorry pal we open at 10.. Your loss...... Well that is great customer service I guess Ill buy my $300 in epoxy somewhere else

Tia and Danielle are pretty much worthless employees at the store. They were the only two working in there and would rather be playing on their phone or FaceTiming rather than helping customers. Tia actually had to get up out of one of the display chairs to check me out. I came in looking for a product and neither one of them offered to show me where it was. They just told me it was on the “back wall” if they had it. I walked around the store for 45 minutes (because it is such a common part that I knew they had it) and finally found it in the right-hand corner on aise 11 near the store office. Told them where it was located and that I found myself. They informed me that area was considered the back wall. Would be nice if you actually took a minute to help your customers rather than play on your telephone or sit around. I spent $150.00. I’ve gotten better help at Walmart and the public dump. Do yourself a favor and just order off the Internet. I will next time.

I buy all my West Marine epoxy here! They carry just about every West Marine product, and various sizes of fiberglass fabric. I live clear across town, so I have to plan my trips such that I arrive while they are still open--this is usually less an issue on Saturday, though.

Before they implemented the price match policy, I never shopped here. Now that they do price matching, I have been buying here more then the online places.
