Tried it for lunch on whim after a Google search. The sandwiches and bread are delicious. They require masks indoors and Im pretty sure they enforce it because I saw two people turn around and leave without ordering. If it was my shop Id have disposable available because why lose a $20 sale for a cheap mask. But, anyway, the food is great. Highly recommend.
Amazing bakery right in my neighborhood.. Im so excited I found this new place.. Its been there for over 7 years but it took me a while to find it..I tried the morning glory muffin, spinach quiche, Cheddar scone and gruyere croissant..I also got the brioche to go.. thank you for what you do! This is awesome 👍
This place is adorable, totally hidden but so worth it. I got a peach tart and it was perfect. Gosh, I just loved it here!
Best bakery in Raleigh! All the deserts are delicious as well as the lunch options. (the croissants are to die for!)
Very good! Orange juice tastes very good. I like the use of paper straws instead of plastic too. Chocolate corks tasted very nice and sweet, they are nice and moist. I had a cookie there as well and it was nice and big! Yummy place, very great prices too.
This is a great bakery and coffee house at Seaboard Station. The coffee is tasteful and the bake goods delicious.
Always great! Best bread and sandwiches. And coffee.
What a wonderful surprise. Had the Cuban sandwich and my wife had the BLT. The bread was wonderful. Also bought the last bialy they had. Havent tried it yet but a rare find in NC.
Currently binge eating a lemon lavender scone in the parking lot. Seriously the best scone I have ever had. Perfect location right across from Logan’s plant shop and the staff is so polite!
The rustic tarts are one of my favorite desserts ever. Cant wait for blueberry season again. The scones are bomb, too.
I love sandwiches and I worked at San Diegos best sando shop years running (BigFrontDoor),and I know sandwiches. This place has amazing craft sandwiches and best bread in town! I give it 4 stars only because they should be open all week with longer hours and make it so food delivery apps like DoorDash can pick it up for those who cant get there as easily anymore. This place could be making bank with the RIGHT marketing and longer hours with more delivery options.
You are in a industrial, modern bakery with the sweet smell of fresh bread, treats lining the air. You walk up to the counter, awe struck at the selection of this bussling business. This is no dream, this is Night Kitchen. While waiting on a friend I popped my head in, and was blown away. Clean, Fast, Genuinely Friendly, and a way to make a wait worth the while. I will be back, you should stop in. I recommend the Double Baked Almond Croissant.
We got a ciabatta load and ginger molasses cookies to-go and regret not getting more! Taste is amazing and I love the texture of both items. Will definitely be coming back
Amazing bread!! Good service.
Customer Service is what I look at from the moment I enter an establishment to the second I exit. I ordered the veggie quiche. It took close to 10 minutes to heat, is was slide across the counter with my name just being said aloud. Not a, Hope you enjoy. Thank you or even come again. Top it off, it wasnt even warm. I work at a bakery. I know what exceptional service and quantity food should be. SadIy I did not experience it here. Very disappointing.
Love that place. Their sourdough bread is great.
Stacy I and the entire staff at H&G eat there as often as we can! Most amazing homemade soups breads and pastries. Staff is always friendly considerate and fast! Options for everyone and not one of us has ever been disappointed.
Tried out a variety of things and they were all good.. Y blood sugar hates me, it the food was great.
This is the bakery I go most often. I like the ciabatta bread, chocolate corks, seeded bagels, and awesome breakfast sandwiches. Their seasonal vegetarian sandwich is always delicious. Nice staff and space. I like being able to peek into the workspace from the ordering counter and see a little of the magic of the Night Kitchen.
Smiles, good food, imagination, and a dash of atmosphere. Whenever I go there with my family, everybody leaves happy, even the 6-year-old. Its hard to recommend anything because it is all good. Bread pudding, the breads, tartlettes, muffins, cookies, biallys - we always end up with a home run. Oh yeah, its right across from Logans nursery, so you can make a morning of it. Really, folks, you cant lose!
Ordered an iced tea with my lunch. We sat outside, and it being hot and all, I finished my tea and came in asked for a refill. No free refills – it costs $1 for a refill of unsweetened ice tea. Who the hell does that? Nobody else that I know of. I enjoyed my food, but I enjoy getting a refill on my drink as well. Sorry, but I shall not return.
Hopefully, just a one-off. Ive been before and had good experiences but this was not one of those times. Went at 10:40 and was unable to order any type of sandwich because the kitchen was transitioning. So if youre hungry between 10:30-11am, dont go here. Ordered one of the only things I could, a bagel. Bagel was good except that is was burnt. How do you put something in the toaster, forget about it, see that it is very clearly burnt and still give it to the customer? Only acceptable if I had asked for a burnt bagel. On top of that, they only give a small take-out cup of pre-portioned cream cheese and a flimsy plastic knife. Thats more of a me thing I suppose, I wish a bakery would do that for me.
Best quiche in the world!! My wife loves the sandwiches and all the sweet treats. If you live in Raleigh or are just visiting you have to try this place.
My first time coming here and their breakfast items were on point! All their items are homemade!! I got the New Yorker which was really good. I wish I took a picture... definitely a must try. The only downside would be the seating.
Its a terrific team of bakers with a steadfast dedication to making bread happen everyday (except Monday). Their passion is evident. They do a great job kneading, and shaping, and baking to perfection a wide variety of breads—sweet and savory, but never ordinary—rotating the menu daily. Also, its a very nice place to grab a sandwich for lunch. If you like to eat real bread, baked fresh, then youll love visiting the Night Kitchen Bakehouse.
My favorite patisserie in Raleigh, and I try every one I find. Limited selection, but everything is fresh and made with high quality ingredients, and the offerings change frequently. I noticed pricing complaints in some of the reviews, but I get a sandwich, coffee, and pastry every visit for under $15. Breads are excellent.
The best bread in Raleigh.
Great selection of fresh bakery items and delicious sandwiches. The atmosphere is comfortable and well designed. I would give 5 stars but for an $8.00 bagel the portion was small and they wouldnt allow substitutions or add on items.
I love everything about Night Kitchen. Its a real cozy environment, it always smells good, and its kid friendly. The staff is super nice. Ive never had any treats from there that I didnt care for. My favorite thing is a salted bagel with their real butter. When I want to treat myself I get a bread pudding or a macaron. The coffee is really good too and theres always more than one choice.
Friendly servers and owner; good coffee but the pastries lack a bit. Especially the tart which we came for, not really much flavor at all in the custard, more like thick milk with fruit on-top. That was a big disappointment. Oh well onto the next shop
This is my go to cafe for baked goods. I have never had a bad dessert here. They have several staple items, but Im always excited to see what new treats they have added to the repertoire for the day. The most difficult decision at check out is choosing what items I want purchase. Its always hard to say just one!
Hard to find, but this place really is the best bakery in Raleigh, as they will get to know you and try to come up with your preferences. La Farm is very good and has a lot of selections, but if you are looking for something that you especially like, they will try to come up with it, or be close. For me its the dark pumpernickel, I cannot find the true German Black Bread anywhere (including German restaurants), but this is pretty close. The sandwich selection is small, but for a small bakery it means what they do make is great. And no waiting in lines, so please give them your business.
Lovely little bagle situation!
I always love this place. They have the BEST chocolate chip cookies on the planet and their croissants are delicious! Im picky about both of those items and this place delivers. The chocolate chip cookies are never burned or hard and th croissants are fluffy and flaky. So often I go into other bakeries and their items look burned to me. Im also a big fan of their BLT. They dont skimp on ingredients and their sourdough its see served on is perfect. They have wonderful selection of herbal teas and are happy to do any of their hot teas over ice if youd like (just have to wait for them to steep). Staff is always friendly and patient, smiles on everyone.
Cute place! My chai latte was mediocre at best and took a long time to come out, so its not my go-to cafe for drinks. But the quiche I had was amazing and so was the bite of scone my friend shared with me. All the other pastries also looked and smelled amazing. So Ill definitely be back.
Love to go here on the weekends and get a breakfast sandwich. Whether eating in or taking our. You can swap out the biscuit for a bagel. Try the Dixie with an Everything bagel.
I love the bread pudding
So cute and quite there and yummy bread and lovely atmosphere!!
This hidden gem is a must visit for a great cup of coffee and tasty treat, a fantastic loaf of fresh-baked bread, or my favorite, lunch. You can not go wrong with anything on the menu and theyre sold are heavenly. Quaint eating area; plan to share a table with a stranger like the Europeans do, if you dine in.
This place has been around several years but I just heard about it. Went by after work for some excellent bread, the walnut levain. Dropped in for Sunday breakfast and it was busy but not crowded, had delicious quiche and soup of the day. Definitely putting this place on rotation for morning spots!
Got one of the best sausage, egg and cheese biscuits in my whole life here! A tad pricy but makes up for it with the quality. Definite recommendation
Locals love it. Best bread in town and wonderful lunch options. Oh and breakfast too. Did I mention the scones?
A gem hidden across from Logans Garden Shop! I am addicted to their French Pan Bread!! Super Great Staff, unique pastry/baked goods, and a scrumptious Lunch Menu!!!
Best bakery in Raleigh, hands down. The pear frangipane tart is delectable. The macaroons are tasty and never dry. The French baguette is always perfection. Parking is easy too. Its always a quick stop to pick something up here because the service is fast and friendly.
Really cute place. Ive stopped a few times for a morning snack. Super quick service, and everything has been really good. I definitely recommend!
Some of the beat sourdough bread out of San Francisco, where I had lived for 30 years. I will recommend night kitchen for good bread and great service.
Love this bakery located in Seaboard Station across from Logans. Love their breads, brownies, bread puddings, macarons, cookies and fresh fruit tarts. Their sandwiches are especially good and reasonably priced! And dont overlook the soup of the day!
Elaborate selection of baked goods. All different types of breads and pastries are available for sell. They also serve breakfast and lunch (sandwiches/ salads/ soups).Good coffee and a great place to hangout/people-watch/get work done.
Came here with friends late yesterday afternoon to grab a coffee and sweet. The cashier was unfriendly and seemed to want to be anywhere but there. We were immediately told they weren’t making food from the menu and we could only order the bread or cookies they had left (very slim selection). I ordered coffee and was told they were out so had to get Americano instead. The lady behind me ordered a certain macaroon and they were out of that. Went to get cream for the americano and it was empty. I get Saturday’s are busy but if you are bakehouse / cafe, you should be a little more prepared by having enough of those items made for your customers. There were three staff members working but yet they were unprepared for the late afternoon rush. Maybe it was an off day, but will try another cafe next time in Raleigh.
It sounds silly, but I had some questions about different types of breads, and I was pleased that the team at Night Kitchen was so helpful. They are always friendly and of course everything is delicious. The warm and casual atmosphere has also been an ideal meeting place for me and a small networking group I help run.
One of the best bakeries I have ever come across. The breads, croissants, tarts, bread pudding, turnovers - all amazing. Good coffee from a great fair trade company as well.
Everything here tastes amazing! My favorite is the herb focaccia.
I stopped by late Saturday and picked up a, vanilla bread pudding and it was so delicious. The apple tart was just as good. Will definitely go back
I wasnt impressed with the selection. Maybe it was because we came closer to lunch time on the weekend and things were picked over, but the display case was small. Leading me to think thats their standard selection. What I did get was delicious I have to say. Great flavors etc.I also ordered a sandwich and didnt realize until I was home that they gave me the wrong sandwich which was disappointing. Not the best first impression.
Lovely food at a great price. Parking can be iffy as they are busy. Highly recommend
I enjoyed the brisket sandwich with side salad very much. The portions were generous, the taste fantastic and the bread outstanding. However, the ordering process was not smooth, the staff seemed a little disorganized, so I subtracted a little for that.
Food = amazinglattes = fabulousmy only complaint in their very strict breakfast/lunch times (WOOF)
Everything here is delicious. Whatever you want to order will not disappoint. Im currently unable to visit without ordering the Sofrito Panini.
The Cuban sandwich. Every. Damn. Time. Its amazing! Really, you cant go wrong with anything here. Make sure to treat yourself to something sweet too!
I go here for lunch often. Their sandwiches are amazing with the bread they make daily. Bagels were awesome a day later too.
Very tasty sandwiches and interesting baked goods. Good coffee also. This place used to be a secret, but its buzzing these days.
Weird experience. I actually found this place via a Google search when I was in Charleston South Carolina. I needed a place healthier somewhere near where I was staying in Raleigh. I ordered quiche and salad and a cappuccino. I asked for a roll and was given one. I have to say the food was absolutely delicious. The server, the guy with the Steven Seagal half ponytail was not even slightly friendly to me. After I was finished with my meal I walked up to the counter and told him how happy I was with the food... But I especially wanted to compliment how comparable the role was to a New York and New Jersey bread. To me that was a compliment. He told me it was an insult. He said he hated New York. I dont really understand that. I explained to him that the water in New York and New Jersey is responsible for some of the best breads, Pizza and bagels in the country and that it was very difficult to find that quality anywhere else and that they had achieved it. He cocked his head sideways as he was thinking about it. And then said okay I get it. I was going to go back there to pick up bagels for a customer that I am going to see in the morning, but honestly with the way he treated me when I got in there and his response to my compliment was a complete and total turn off. I have been hearing for over 50 years how rude the Yankees are and honestly I felt this was extremely rude by this Southern boy. Regardless as to how much I like the food and how often I am in this area, I will never go back. You should think about the way you treat your customers.
I want to like this place, I think Raleigh has better options for pastries and similar fare. The food and drinks: one star. The chai latte is really bad, it tastes like fat free milk with cinnamon. I wish the granola had fruit or nuts to add variety. The music is confusing- today it was over-the-top samba music. The space: five stars. It is open and always very clean and the bathroom is clean and smells nice.
Rotating selection of fresh breads and bagels every day and awesome pastries. Sandwiches and soups are delicious. Really good food at a reasonable price!
Beautiful inspiring church and Basilica. Great understanding priests to hear daily confession. Great Catholic shop next door.
Their sandwiches are so good. Overfilled with everything good, and they dont skimp on the thickness of the bread either. Full of flavour too.
Great coffee, great bread. I took a loaf of the fancy foccacia with toppings home. Er, I took it almost home. Er, I ate it in my truck on the way home :DFast counter service place for a quick breakfast or bite, and they do have *danged* (censored for our younger viewers) good coffee.Edit: OMFG! I just ate the chocolate bread pudding cupcake. Just yes. Yes. I will run 3 miles and do push-ups to make up for this. So good...
Great place! I work nearby so I get lunch there often and their sandwiches and coffee are amazing, fresh and quick. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly people and fantastic breads!
That ginger and molasses cookie was the best I have ever had. It was like Christmas.
The best baguete bread ever.
Went there for lunch and thought the marinated chickpea sandwich was excellent and reasonably priced.
This is the best place you havent eaten in Raleigh. Its tucked in the strip of shops across from Logans at Seaboard Station. Night Kitchen features bakery items and coffee in addition to a short menu of sandwiches, soup and salad. While the menu may be short, the sandwiches are long on taste and rotate with the season. Right now, try the pimento cheese or turkey and cucumber. Then go back for a scrumptious pastry or loaf of bread. My favorite is French pain, or pain de mie if youve bought it in France. Yum!
Wonderful bread and a great space. Coffee is never good, but truly, go for the fantastic bread.
All the breads and more!Their desserts are also fantastic. I love their breakfast sandwiches.. blat, dixie, and the new yorker! Lunch sandmiches.. muffuletta, cuban, and the roast pork bo ssam. They also have vegan options. The quality of this variety is out of this world! Seating is somewhat limited. Staff is friendly and fast :)
Great vibe. High quality, fresh food.
Great bread and bakery items
The quiche of any kind is always amazing!! Fresh baked goods, they put a lot of time and effort into making the bakery items every morning and it shows! My favorite breakfast/brunch place in Raleigh.
I thoroughly enjoyed the food (salmon gravalax on sourdough) and the servers/bakers were friendly. I came with a friend and we will definitely come back. My only complaint (ONLY) is that Im slightly over every single coffeeshop feeling it necessary to go with a very industrial style. Its nice but Im just over it.
Best coffee in the city. Wonderful biscuit sandwiches. Wonderful people who work there.
This is a great spot. Went in today and had tea while I did some work on my laptop, and it was all really good - Hide, the Man behind the counter, helped me pick an excellent green tea from the selection they have, the table where I sat was comfy (and had great access to an outlet, if needed for the laptop), and I was easily about to get on to the Night Kitchen public Wi-Fi. Recommended!
Nice range of tasty baked goods. The cherry scone was light, flavorful, and just the right size. Theres limited seating so be prepared to take your items out.
Some really great bread. Was closed the day I tried to go because of a dog event in the parking lot. Worth the return trip!
Great food, nice staff. A great place for fresh bread and pastries.
Good Night! Everything they make is amazing! I try something new every time and Im never disappointed!
Its got great food but its loud inside with not a lot of seating options
SO GOOD. Theyre chocolate bunt cake is to die for.. and their lattes are pretty dang good too!
I love Bakers who have Passion for what they do, it’s here!
I go every week day. Wonderful food, a little gem of the seaboard shopping area. Everything is made from scratch.
Gave several try’s but I can’t stand the super unfriendly staff. Not coming back and not recommending it to anybody. I’m glad we have so many amazing coffee shops in our neighborhood. Besides it my coffee today was mediocre.
I love our neighborhood coffee shop and bakery! THE best lattes ANYWHERE and Heday (sp) is the BEST when it comes to latte making and always calls you by name! AWESOME-NESS all the way around from this place!
Awesome bakery and sandwiches. We go every weekend at least once
I come here fairly often. In the mornings Ill grab a double latté or mocha latté sometimes with a scone or slice of quiche. All of which meet my satisfaction. In the afternoons, I enjoy their homemade sandwiches with fresh artisanal bread. My favorites are the Turkey Club and the BLT. Sound like ordinary fare? Not so, here at Night Kitchen. That bread (the whole sandwich too) is delicious. The staff are friendly, courteous and attentive. I always leave with a smile.
Big fans! Food is delicious!
Everything we tried was exquisite. Quiet, wonderful atmosphere and thoughtful service.
