I left a voicemail well after hours to ask about a contact that got stuck behind my eyelid. Within 12 minutes, Dr. Oberdorf called me back. He was super nice, understanding and patient. He gave me a few things I could try to work the contact out. He assured me it would likely work itself out, and if not, I could come in first thing in the morning. Today was my second annual checkup with Stonehenge Vision Source and I have nothing but positive things to say about both visits. The entire staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable. This means a lot to me because I often feel awkward in doctors office type settings. The tech that assisted me was awesome ( I wish I remembered her name) and Dr. Oberdorf took his time speaking with me and answering all my questions.After the eye exam, Paul assisted me in selecting new glasses and sunglasses. Dr. Oberdorf and all the staff at Stonehenge Vision are wonderful, and they have a big selection of frames to choose from, but I must give a special shout-out to Paul Kocha. It’s magical the way he selects about a half dozen frames that are absolutely perfect for your face! He’s much better than having your best friend with you. In sum, you can’t find a more caring, experienced, thorough group of people to help you with your vision care needs.

They are very Covid-conscious, with exam rooms clearly sanitized. Dr Hanna explains what’s going on very clearly and makes suggestions without being overbearing. Paul and John in their optical staff have been super helpful with my glasses order last year. Jamie assisted in my exam a few weeks ago, and she was very knowledgeable and friendly.

My eyeglasses were damaged when I fell during a hike last weekend. It was easy and convenient to make a Monday appointment at Stonehenge Vision for a repair. The office was clean and comfortable, and a number of safety practices were in place before I entered, such as taking my temperature and applying sanitizer. Valencia the technician was helpful, friendly, and competent in restoring the loose lens in the frame. Surprisingly, there was no charge for this service. I left the office feeling good about a quick and effective visit.

I had wanted new prescription sunglasses for awhile. The opticians at Stonehenge were so helpful as I wanted polarized but lighter on the bottom- it took 3 remakes but they wanted to make sure it was what I wanted. I cannot say more about how helpful and accommodating they were!!

I got a call saying my glasses were ready. When I called they said I needed to make an appointment to pick them up! I now it’s covid-19 season. I was JUST going to PICK them up. “Oh no sir you have to make an appointment “ why do need to make an appointment? I don’t make an appointment to pick up burgers at McDonald’s? Can I just pick them up at your front desk? “no sir we don’t do that”. I made an appointment, went in, the desk person said “she’ll be right with you” !? The lady said here’s your glasses. Put them on, they fit and was the right Rx. I got up to leave and the front desk girls were looking at me like I was a freak. What’s the big deal? I picked up my glasses? I was in that place for 90 seconds! An had to make an appointment? To bad Stonehenge Vision source. You dropped the ball in service!I can no longer use you.

Paul Kocha is the man. I bought glasses somewhere else (big mistake) and they didn’t seem right. I brought them in and Paul did some testing and determined where the other place messed up. He wrote clear instructions on how to fix the issue. I plan on going back next week to work with Paul and get a new pair of glasses.This continues the excellent service I have received from everyone at Stonehenge Vision Source.

I have been going to Stonehenge Vision since I moved to Raleigh, 5 years ago, could not ask for a better team to entrust my vision care to.

I went for an eye exam during this week (during quarantine) and still had a great experience! You’d probably expect it from a health care facility but regardless, they took safety precautions very seriously. I was sanitized and temperature checked at the door, and there were helpful stickers on the floor to keep everyone 6 ft apart. I arrived almost an hour early for my appointment and was seen within 10-15 minutes. I can’t believe I forgot her name but the doctor I saw was incredible!! She was so sweet, funny and incredibly professional. The frame selection was more than I expected and I quickly found a pair I loved. They ensured every frame I tried on was sanitized before hand and sanitized before put back on the shelves. They even had a separate, clean area set up towards the back of the office where I could try on different frames without my mask. The whole staff was accommodating and helpful while maintaining social distancing, cleanliness, and safety protocols. So glad I came here!

Dr. Oberdorf is thorough and uses all the diagnostics available to him to determine the best course of action for my vision needs. Today was no exception. He spent time after the exam describing several options to address the cloudy vision (cataract) in my left eye, which he’s monitored for several months.And several months ago, Stonehenge Vision is the best! I called at 4:15 PM on Friday for help with a broken ear piece on my eyeglasses. The office closes at 5:00 pm/Fridays, but I was advised to come in to see what needed to be done! So—off I went. My eyeglasses were examined and given a temporary fix while I await for the custom piece to be delivered and installed on my eyeglasses. They are the best in customer service!
