Our family had a lovely day at the Summer Festival. We all really enjoyed the train ride and looking out for all the beautiful teddies. The Fairy walk was done so well, great fun looking for all the fairies in the activity book. We all watched the show, our granddaughter loved the songs and was dancing along. Would really recommend, lots to see and do, and although there were lots of people felt safe. So great to be out enjoying the event.
For families with young children....lovely day out. Nice small 10 minute show and light entertainment for kids....nice maze and bug and nature exhibition educational for kids...place to grab a coffee and bite to eat too....playground for kids too....Train ride great to lovely grounds wish there was more of a ride through the grounds
Decent train ride but did seem a little pricey for what was there. The food was expensive but it was great food for a change as other similar places charge lots for food that doesnt taste as great. Place is still worth a visit but I wouldnt feel the need of wanting to go back, we had a great day still as we didnt know what to expect, kids still enjoyed themselves which is what mattered most of all for the day.
We had a great time at Audley End. The miniature railway was a lot of fun, we enjoyed trying to spot all the things there were to see along the route and my daughter was very excited about going through the tunnels. The woodland fairly walk was fun too, but possibly aimed at children a little older than 2 for the full enjoyment of it. The playground and open space is lovely too. All in all a great day out.
We absolutely loved it. We were greeted at the entrance where everything was explained to us. The train ride was amazing, there were lots of Teddy Bears in the forest. This lasted about 20 minutes. We then got off and were greeted by the Fairy who again explained everything to us before we walked through the Fairy and Elf Forest. Afterwards we had a lovely picnic in a playground area which had lots of benches and beautiful wooden train. It was truly amazing and magical experience.
Audrey End Miniature Railway has two Miniature trains running sequentially. One locomotive is a steam engine, the other a diesel. The trains run for about 18 minutes on a single journey. The route is populated by fairies, teddys, small fantasy houses and two tunnels. After the train journey a fairyland walk awaits. A themed park is in the grounds plus a few games such as: throwing the bean bags through boards with holes in; hoops over board hedgehogs etc. On a pleasant weather day, you easily spend 3 or 4 hours onsite. Ideal for children around 5~9 years old.
The Disappeared - The Halloween event was a fantastic evening. The train ride and the wall via woods was fun, exciting and entertaining. The actors played their roles very well. Id love to see a few more actors. But overall an amazing evening
Visited Audley Miniature railway over the may bank holiday family of 4 £54, in my opinion thought value for money as we spent the whole day there children were 11 and 7 Miniature train ride in the grounds there was fair theme event kids were given books and had find fairies kept kids occupied,.there were couple of shows for kids as well, people were spaced out facilities were clean staff were helpful and friendly food was nice the grounds well maintained. I would not go out of my way to go, but if lived nearby then worth a visit, photos shows the grounds, some of themes and train ride
A good few hours can be spent at Audley End Miniature Railway but I would say it definitely needs to be a good weather day as there isnt much cover if it rains. Saying that, we started with our booked railway ride, then straight into the Fairy Walk, followed by a picnic (although you can buy food and drink on site). Plenty of places to sit and let the kids roam or play on the newly installed play area (much improved from our last visit a few years ago). No need to wear a mask at all, which helped make it a lovely day out. Parking is a few mins walk from the entrance but there is closer parking for disabled visitors.
What a fantastic place. We went because our little boy is obsessed with trains and needless to say, he absolutely loved it. We went on a quieter day and were lucky enough to get a 2nd ride too. When you get off, a magical fairy greets you and tells you where to head next; into the magical woods for a fairy hunt. There are lots and lots of fairy houses built into the trees (which must have taken them a long time to build, possibly with some help from fully grown men & women) as well as a place to make wishes and somewhere else to make magical wands. Moving along, you cross a troll bridge before continuing on past more treehouses and wildlife. After leaving the woods, you come out to the open playing area which has climbing frames, slides, swings and a big wooden train to climb in and around.Next to the play area, there are several huts selling warm and cold food and drink including burgers, paninis, sausage rolls (meat and vegan varieties), crisps, pizzas, ice creams and hot & cold drinks. We spent a good 3 hours here and you could tell all the children there were loving it.The staff were all very friendly and everything is in very condition. A real quality place to visit.
Most amazing day out for our twin toddlersPerfectly kept grounds, staff are so friendly and the railway was a huge hit with the boys. Will most certainly be coming back againWe didnt buy anything from the onsite cafe, but it seemed really reasonably priced with hot food and drinks.Thankyou Audley end foe a great day
We paid £51 for a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids under 5) for what was essentially a small play area. We booked our tickets for 2.20pm and were unfortunately caught in traffic making us 20 minutes late. Despite a train being advertised as running at 2.40pm we were told we had missed our ride. We were told we could not get a refund and would have to come back another day. We were told to be quick if we wanted to get onto the fairy walk, when on the website the park is advertised as being open until 5.30pm.Was very cross initially but thanks to a few really friendly and lovely staff members and fairies who made a real effort to make the kids smile, my children managed to have a really nice time in the end! Just such a shame we missed the train, but we did manage to do the fairy walk which was nice.We spoke to someone at the end and they’ve offered us free tickets to return so kids can get the full experience which we were grateful for. Customer service is very good to be fair.If you do come here, aim for a morning or lunchtime session to allow for bad traffic and ensure you get to go on the train, would be my only advice. Overall a nice day out, if a bit expensive. Fairy walk entrance closes at 3pm x
Great day out for all the family. Really well organised. Greeted by a lovely gentleman at the gates. Al. Areas are clean and well looked after
What a lovely place, it was so nice to enjoy a Christmas event despite the current situation. It almost felt like normal. The train is lovely, Santa and his elves a treat, and all the lovely helpers made our visit special. Thank you to all the many people working hard to make the visit special. Really loved the gingerbread house. You visit this after the train trip. It was very muddy when we went, so wear wellies and wrap up warm then youll really enjoy it. The food tent is great, loads of tables and both hot and cold food available to buy. Id pa K spare shoes in the car for afterwards otherwise the car gets very muddy.
We have been to Audley end 3 times now and every time has been great, for younger kids it’s an ideal way to spend a few hours, staff are really friendly and enthusiastic and they also have a decent selection of food and drink options.
The kids really enjoyed the train ride and loved finding all the fairies. The book really got them engaged in the activities, ticking off everything they saw.
We have had a lovely day here today, this has been on my to-go-to list for a couple of years now, but never could fit it in.Im glad we went now, with covid-19 still around, as if it had been much busier I dont think we would have enjoyed it as much.We booked a 12.30 train slot, got there around 11am, meant we had some time in the park before hand. All staff were friendly, train ride was a lovely experience but my personal favourites were the fairy walk, oh and making a wand of course. The fairy and elf set ups are just beautiful.Once out of there we had 10mins to recharge before the interactive show, this was a little crowded on our time slot, not enough stools for all, but was a nice show for the children that got them up moving during it.Then we were back in the play area, the chalk boards, ring toss, and loved the noughts and crosses tables, (or shall I call it ladybird and bumble bee) i want one for my garden.I didnt see the old play area but the new one is lovely. My children have had a lovely day. We ended with an ice cream each, this is the only place I felt let down, we ordered a unicorn and a dragon ice cream, as well as others, and both ice creams were just blue coloured ice cream with either dragon sprinkles or unicorn sprinkles. Those hard disgusting shaped sprinkles. I thought they would of been better, even the unicorn ice cream just being pink. Esp as their sign on the top of the parlour showed a blue and a pink ice cream with words of dragon and unicorn ice cream.
A quite wonderful time at the Audley End miniature railway. Booking on line worked well, parking was easy & everything well organised. The train ride was wonderful with lots to look out for. And then onto the fairy woodland walk..which had so many fairies to check off finishing up by the amazing adventure playground and food area. We enjoyed the food and our 2 grand daughters loved everything!
Good place for half day outing. My 5 yo daughter loved the place! Fairy and elf walk was very engaging for her. Not much for my 8 yo son. Play area is good.Hourly musical show was the highlight on our visit. Very talented performers!!Several options for food like pizza etc on site. Cafe is not too expensive and reasonably priced. They have picnic benches in case you plan to carry your own food. They have on site car park and also an overflow car park.
Was recommended by a friend. Greeted at the overflow carpark and the main entrance by two happy enthusiastic guys. Both very helpful, and set the energy for the day. Train ride was really good. Make sure the kiddies are facing forward so they dont miss anything! The fairy walk was well laid out. The human fairies were great, My daughter loved them. The show was entertaining and interactive, and enjoyed by all.I feel the summer event is definitely more aimed at girls than boys as the only elf we found was Twig.- although my 7year old still enjoyed himself and enjoyed the train ride and the catapult activity. Im sure the other seasonal events are more all rounders. Look forward to seeing what the Halloween event entails.Overall a great day out, will recommend to others.
Great venue, very well thought out. A great day out for young kids.
A fantastic day out for children, the train journey is a decent distance with great features along the way. Theyve also taken good precautions for social distancing and cleanliness. My only suggestion would be that catering staff wear face coverings when preparing and serving food, however we took our own picnic so not a problem for us.
Fantastic experience for all the family, A great family day out! The staff are all so welcoming and energetic. It Made the experience a whole lot more magical, the fairy/elf trial is beautifully designed to every last detail. The shows will get the whole family singing and dancing. Not forgetting the fantastic play equipment. We look forward to our return. Would recommend.
Great place to visit. I think it will be better next year as this year they have had to change a lot. The staff are really friendly and nice it makes the experience a much better one. I was quite cold today, but was still a great day out. The kids loved it. Well worth supporting your local attractions.
Amazing place highly recommend going here so much to see and do !!!!!!
So lovely and magical, great place for a picnic so take your own food can buy there but pricey. I took two girls aged 4 and 5 they loved finding the fairies and ticking them off in the booklet. The show was good too. Only downfall is there are not enough toilets your continuously queuing so more toilets please! Other then that lovely.
A fab experience, we spent a good few hours here, the train ride and fairy trail were great. All of the displays were well maintained and magical, our daughter 6 loved her booklet to tick off everything she found. The food was great, we had pizza which was cooked fresh and very tasty. The show was great and all the kids danced along. The play park was super. Our daughter fell and split her lip (like kids do, nothing to do with the equipment) and one of the staff immediately came out to check she was ok and asked if we needed anything. She was fine just a bit shocked. The gift shop cheered her up! The only thing I would say is that I dont think there were enough toilets and the ones by the play park could have been cleaner. We had a great time and Id definitely come back for one of the themed events and would recommend it.
Lovely little place. The staff all seem so happy and were great, railway was great, fairy trial, wand making were fab. Could do with more undercover as it was really raining, so we did leave earlier than planned. We are looking to go again in October for Halloween
Had a lovely day out with the family meeting Santa 🎅 and his wife, the elfs are very helpful and looking forward on doing this trip again with the family next year. Would recommend
We came here today. (17/8/2021). A great place for children to be.....well children! Trains and fairies, all good fun, great activity book for the children to do as you go around on the train, plus the added bonus of finding the fairies as you see them in the enchanted wood. Highly recommended.
An amazing day celebrating for their Easter special.
Another gem up along the M11 from London. The children enjoyed the journey on the immaculate miniature train into the fairy wood. An immense amount of effort has gone into creating little houses that reflect each fairys personality/occupation. The detail is astonishing! There is also a new additional area featuring mini beasts, bug hotels etc. which is well presented and accessible. Overall, a great outdoor setting for children to explore, discover, play, picnic and encounter nature. The staff are friendly and in-costume. The entire venue is outdoors, so go prepared for the weather.
Lovely place we went to the summer festival yesterday and my children loved it. The attention to all the details was outstanding. And the friendly happy staff make every minute more special. Will definitely visit again
This was a very well spent day. The train ride, story telling, walk in the woods as well as plenty of entertainment for the kids throughout the day. I would definitely recommend!
My husband and I love taking our little girl (2 y/o) everything is so well done. She just loves the train ride and woodland walk as well the activities, shows and the gift shop. The attention to detail is brilliant and all the staff are so lovely and friendly. We are already looking forward to going back to meet Santa during Christmas time.
Perfect Christmas experience for the family. The train ride takes you to Santas grotto where the big man meets the children - socially distanced of course! There is a good catering offering and covered seating for eating lunch. Overall good fun.
This place is amazing. We went for the fairy &elf walk and my little one absolutely loved it. The train ride was 20 minutes packed full of amazing things to see on your journey. Followed by a fairy walk in the enchanted forest. Really was amazing . We will definitely be going back. Thank you all for such a great day out!
Absolutely fantastic, our little princess loved it, highly recommended 👌
Audley End Railway was amazing! We got tickets for the train to see Father Christmas. Its all well thought out and all the staff were great. The trains are lovely and all the Christmas decorations look amazing. Its definitely worth the visit if you can get tickets.
Amazing place. Very well organized and absolutely beautiful everywhere you look. Staff are very helpful, polite and efficient.Great for younger kids as not much to do for teenagers but still worth a visit even if it is just for mum and dad.Well worth the entry fee
Had the most wonderful time here. The owners have gone to great lengths to manage the whole experience safely. Good value for money and a quality feel about the whole place.Highly recommended.Well done to all involved.
I had a lovely day with my 5yo son. Definitely for younger children. I wouldnt advise for 9+, especially boys. Would also like an option for another train ride for the price.
Just had another lovely day here. The train ride is enjoyable and we had steam engine this time. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great play park. Recommend a visit here.
Perfect place for family, nice all things, very nice people working there, very good time for Sunday
We had the best day. The fairies were all so lovely and kind. It really was a magical day my daughter loved it
Great day out for children. Train journey is around 20 mins and all the children I went with loved it. Once off the train there was a fairy walk, a great adventure playground and a cafe with decent food.
Lovely place to visit with a toddler. Had so much fun and exceptionality nice weather on last weekend Sunday. Sunday- funday 😍
Grand kids had a great time. Dont buy the fairy wings cost a lot and lasted 1/2 a day. But apart from this thoroughly good time for the little ones
An excellent place to take your kids, we have been to the Christmas and the Summer fairy events and loved them both. The new play Area is really good.
What a lovely and well organised entertaining venue. Kids and us had a beautiful day here. Starting with the train ride. E fantastic experience for the little ones. And all the bears in their homes 😆positioned along the ride way. And after that, the fairy walk. At the end they put a 20 mins show and they were good. They kept kids engaged with that show and making them laugh. 👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
We went to the Railway for Santa Experience & it was brilliant. Booked the tickets, arrived early, kids could do some activities prior to visiting Santa - stories, face painting, bouncy castle, dance, write letter to Santa. There’s place to buy food from or your hot wine or hot chocolate. Then we got into the queue as we were first to get onto the train - we were given great places. Out train journey was 4:40pm I the dark- it was wonderful - everything was lit up just fantastic. We saw Santa & kids were given presents. We took photos with Santa. They danced. It was magical. What a wonderful experience. It’s child & buggy friendly ( not in the train though) there are toilets, car park near by. Loved it!
Great place for children, very magical.
Really nice day out with the kids. They loved the train and the woodland walk. Nice big playground and picnicking area.
My Grandchildren loved it, the train ride, the walk through the woods looking for fairies, and a live show. I would say only suitable for little ones under five.
What a lovely place for small children (and not so small). The staff are lovely, the train ride was fun and long enough to enjoy. The enchanted forest and fair houses were really well done. Also Covid considerations were absolutely seamless, I could see people cleaning but it just wasnt a worry. Well done to all the staff and thank you for a fantastic day out!!!
What a great day out.My four year old granddaughter absolutely loved it. Even my one year old granddaughter had a good time.We had good weather and was lucky on that score, if ot had been a day earlier in our typical British weekend its time to rain weather, it would of been a different story. Virtually no protection from the elements.Anyway we had a great time. Bring a picnic as the few food outlets are a rip off.
Fantastic little train rideBeautiful well kept groundsLovely staff
We have just been on the summer festival and my 5 year old boy loved it!Its a magical place for kids
Amazing first visit for my granddaughters birthday. She proudly told nearly every staff member that she met that it was her birthday. All of them reacted genuinely and wished her a happy birthday. They remembered her when they met her again later in the day and asked if she was enjoying her visit. Which made the visit more personal and special. She loved the train ride and looking out for the Teddy bears. Also ran through the woodland walk searching for fairies and elfs. Finished off the day in the play area where she conquered her fear of slides and learnt how to climb up the rope netting. It might have been our first visit but it wont be the lastThe staff are truly incredible and a wonderful asset to the place. Everything was well kept, clean and in good order
Lovely experience for young children with smiles aplenty to go round. From the miniature train to the fairy trail to the interactive stories and the playground; the kids will have a wonderful time.
Great day out with kids.
It was absolutely brilliant! My girls enjoyed every minute of it! Perfect family day out
What a wonderful day. The staff was so welcoming and friendly my two girls had such a fantastic day with lots of fun and magic. All the staff from entering, buying tea, the Train ride, fairies were so wonderful thank you for making fathers Day so special xxx
Excellent for younger children and families. Enjoyed the train ride through the Teddy Bear wood and walking through the Fairy Forest. Good playground area for under 10s.
Lovely place for the family.
Gorgeous morning! Really well organised, super fun for kids, excellent food options and really friendly staff. We had a great time.
A very nice place to go. Friendly personable staff, special mention to the gent on the front gate and and the steam train driver. Not overcrowded and relaxed. My little girl have a memorable birthday 👍
We had a fantastic time here with my grandchildren. A beautiful setting, superb train ride and fairies and elves too, what more could a child possibly want!It is a brilliant place to visit with small children, my grandchildren are 2 and 4 years old and there was so much for them to see and do. It is also a wonderful place for the adults too, plenty to keep us entertained too.The food on site is, as to be expected, expensive, but it was very good quality, so no real problem there. All in all, I thoroughly recommend visiting with your little ones 😀
A fabulous day out. We all loved the train ride, particularly on the steam train, loved the teddies all dressed up and the fairy houses are unbelievable! Good food too. Only downside was a long queue for ice creams!
Amazing day excellent day out for anyone with Toddlers. Mine loved the train and ride and show. Food is well priced and good quality.
So lovely! Well staffed, great layout and lots of things for the children to do. Always visit Aidley End when they have special events on. Definitely worth the money!!!!! Xxx
Superb place for children and adults
Really fun day out! Booking online meant people kept their distance and the train had plastic shields and empty seats between each family to ensure distance. A great little day trip, reasonably priced gift shop and good ice cream. Didnt eat the food but the line was long which is usually a good thing. Well be back!
Brilliant outing for a toddler - the train ride is great fun and the woodland walk, play area and music show were all big hits as well. The staff are friendly and helpful, there is a good selection of food available and facilities were clean and well maintained.
Really enjoyable, especially for the little ones. Really great last show of the festival.
Had a lovely time at the miniature railway and the fairy forest my Grand Daughter really enjoyed it . Its so good to see Happy children
Really clean, staff attentive, great day out
Love this beautiful venue, perfect for children and adult alike.Dog friendly, excellent staff and a wonderful days entertainment.
Best day out for my sons birthday 💛 Very well organised, lots for kids to do and very easy to social distance and have a nice family day out. Massive thanks to the manager who gave us ice creams on the house as there was a problem with tills and didnt want to disappoint my little boyChildren made to feel welcome in all areas of the park. So much to do for the whole dayWell back soon ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely amazing, a magical day out for young and old. Staff were very polite and helpful. I loved the calm tent which is great if you have a SEN child. Would highly recommend.
Was really well organised and cleaned Constantly. Really friendly staff and beautiful surroundings, my five Yr old boy loved it.
A wonderful experience for young ones. Very well laid out, lots of outdoor seating. Good choice of food, ice creams etc. All the staff very friendly.
Amazing, very cute train ride, friendly and helpful staff, cute and friendly fairies, lots of activities for children. Great playground and outside toys
Great day out for the family in a lovely part of Essex, plenty to keep the kids occupied.
A good time if you have young kids. The train looks a lot bigger online so you feel somewhat disappointed when you see it. However once youre on it, you will have a great time. Lots of little Christmas stages to see along the way. Plus father Christmas and the elves are fun and interactive.Ginger Bread House is nice with a story for the kids and bubbles to play with.Other attractions are around such as letter writing, etc. There is a nice play area for kids, things to climb on and over. And a seating area for food and drinks.Toilets were clean. There was a safe place for your buggy. Staff are friendly and welcoming.Overall a very pleasant time. Kids will love it.Dress appropriately. Wellies for both kids and adults. The only thing that was missing was a snow machine.
Visited with my nephews this week and I was incredibly impressed. The staff were all so polite, friendly and engaging. It is clear they are very well trained and unlike some other locations we have visited, the cleanliness and covid compliance was superb. The only small criticism would be that there were very few toiletsm
A great experience for young children and anyone who enjoy a train ride and fairy hunting.
