The buying experience was great! I actually purchased from the DD in Charlotte. They have free cleanings and repairs. I have fluctuated in weight some so I have had my ring resized multiple times and it was always free and timely. We have had such a wonderful experience working with Prem with Diamonds Direct in Raleigh. Like one of the best customer services experiences and felt more taken care of than we could have ever imagined. We started at Quercus in Raleigh because we wanted something super custom and different. The communication was terrible and we knew we needed to look elsewhere- so we went to DD due to hearing really great reviews. I didn’t know how custom their work could be and were amazed with the work they were willing to do. Prem searched for weeks for these special Montana sapphires we wanted, worked with us to create the shapes we wanted in the bands, and even sent back one of the rings to fix a very small detail we wanted changed. He never made it seem inconvenient and was more than willing to make us happy. Great communication, really positive attitudes (even with our pickiness), and really great prices in comparison to what we would have had to pay with someone else (while receiving the same product). After my boyfriend and I had an awful custom ring experience in our hometown of Roanoke VA we went to Diamonds Direct for redemption from a recommendation of a friend. And did they deliver. We had made an online appointment with Ginger and showed up at 10am- immediately greeted by so many warm smiling faces and when we stated we were here for Ginger we were immediately helped. She spent time showing me so many settings that fit my super thin band, dainty, understated low profile vision and was so knowledgable. The setting I chose was able to fit my heirloom diamond THAT DAY! was told it would be ready by 4pm. Unfortunately we werent going to be in town all day but it is being shipped out today. Ginger went above and beyond she was kind, knowledgeable and thorough. I will be buying our wedding bands from here too. This service is top notch.I will say make an appointment or go on a weekday it was a mad house in there Saturday morning but we were in and out within an hour with my dream ring. They then went to treat the whole experience as a disingenuous used cars salesman by slapping the hood of the car and saying “so you want it?” Didn’t give me any knowledge or any idea of how diamonds were graded or priced. Was very pushy and aggressively trying to just get me “in and out”2nd time around I came back and asked for a different sales person because my last experience wasn’t so great. The woman that came to help me and started off nice and well, I told her my budget and she was almost instantly offended, and made it seem like I was wasting her time.I don’t recommend this place. I had a terrible experience, and took my hard earned money elsewhere.

I purchased a 1.03 carat H color VS2 diamond ring with a matching channel set diamond band from a local pawn shop. I contacted Elad at Diamonds Direct Raleigh via the Diamonds Direct website about coming in for an inspection of the diamond. After carefully unsetting the diamond and viewing with a microscope, he detected a small chip in the girdle of the diamond. Instead of having to get the diamond re-polished which would have taken more time than I had before I wanted to propose and have lost precious carat weight. Elad was able to exchange my diamond for a 1.00 carat H color SI1 diamond. He had it set within 4 weeks in a beautiful Sylvie ring- SY904. Elad was very fair in what I paid for this ring. Unfortunately, the diamond was improperly set by the onsite jeweler. There was a 2mm prong length discrepancy on two of the prongs…Elad and the vice president, Lev, went out of their way to get issue fixed very quickly and correctly for me despite the issue being beyond the skill set of the onsite jeweler. Elad sent the ring to an expert jeweler contact he had in New York. After receiving the ring back, he overnighted the ring to me via FedEx in Western NC in time for me to propose on Christmas. My now fiancé was very impressed with the ring. For this experience alone, I would give Elad and Diamonds Direct Raleigh 5/5 stars.As I mentioned, at the pawn shop I purchased a diamond band with the engagement ring. The ring set was soldered together. Diamonds Direct unsoldered the bands for me. Unfortunately, as the wedding band was channel set and original size 7, there was no way to size the ring to 5.25, my fiancé’s ring size, without significant risk of losing diamonds in the long term. Elad was able to have a very similar, custom ring created using 3d design software that was able to use the 8 VS2 diamonds in my original wedding band. He then refined the design based on the feedback of my fiancé and myself. Wax cast of the original ring and updated design were provided before ordering the ring. The cost of this band was very competitive with similar bands sold by online retailers. However, this band was custom and much higher quality as it included the VS2 diamonds I had from the original band.My last purchase was a wedding band of similar style to my fiancé’s wedding band. I was headed to Diamond’s Direct to pick up the wedding band for my fiancé the day I ordered my band. Elad stayed behind for 5 minutes to briefly speak with me despite needing to head home to help his wife take care of their sick child. He got his colleague Prem to help my fiancé as she tried on her wedding band. Prem also assisted me as I ordered by wedding band. I selected RECF518516W from Benchmark. Prem ordered the ring for me. He matched the pricing I had found from an online competitor. I selected RECF78022SCC as the free ring that Benchmark offers all customers purchasing dress rings.In summary, Diamonds Direct Raleigh is likely the best “in-person” jewelry store in the Triangle Area-Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill. All pricing was extremely competitive. Pricing was better than every store I visited in the Triangle Area. Pricing was also in-line with online competitors. I advise buying in-person at Diamonds Direct Raleigh for the Diamonds Direct buying experience that includes complimentary cleaning, resizing, rhodium plating, etc. Also, every employee was incredibly thoughtful and genuinely cared about my diamond buying/ring buying experience. Even when I had the issue with the engagement ring, it was promptly taken care of by Diamonds Direct. This would not have been the case with an online retailer. The Diamonds Direct team is truly like a big family. Even when Elad wasn’t available other managers willingly stepped up to help me. However, when you stop by, make sure to ask for Elad!

She hand selected many diamonds and even had some brought in from other locations until I found the one that is now in my engagement ring. We came here after going to another jeweler in the area to compare prices, and they didn’t make us feel bad for not wanting to fork out thousands and thousands of dollars. It was a busy Sunday, and we had no idea they were even having a sale, so when we walked in they were so busy but Tessa came out and helped us and we’re so thankful she was able to work with us through the process. My ring is beautiful, and they definitely did an heirloom band very much justice by creating a custom piece just for us!

We are new to the area and my wife’s engagement ring had a prong that was bent out of place we were told by other jewelers we would need a new head. So it was suggested to us to take it here. They brought it back to a jeweler and in about 2 minutes came back with it fixed. Said it was a very easy fix so no charge and asked if we would like it cleaned for no charge but it would take an hour. We said sure and went to get lunch at the mall and came back and the ring looked so great so sparkling clean. They just got themselves a new customer for life. We will definitely return there when it’s time for another jewelry purchase. Thank you so much!!!

They can do a lot of customization with their store brand options - my engagement ring was a custom job and I am so in love with it! They helped my fiance pick just the right stone to look beautiful on the band and fit within his budget. With the pandemic going on, they seem to be doing a great job with mask enforcement and cleaning as well.
